This is one of the best books in my collection. The first section is devoted to BAPE stores and has some great photos and explanations.

If you like architecture, graffitti, or fashion books you should definitely buy this.

It is an unspectacular, seemingly banal scene, and it is one that photographer Marianne Mller observed and photographed for months. The result of her observations and reflections is The Flock, a rich and dense record of life above the rooftops of Brooklyn, oscillating between documentary observation and metaphorical condensation. Precise observations alternate with almost abstract compositions in which the birds' flight is transformed into mere brushstrokes on the clouds above New York. A "Must-Have" book.......1998-10-01

As a Fulbrighter and educator teaching management practices in evolving markets, I am constantly on the look out for books I can donate to my colleagues' foreign libraries. This book meets all my criteria for useful and user-friendly. It is an excellent example of American ideals and aspirations. I'm buying my third copy; my own young daughter, a junior in high school, is ready to start the big search for a school. Thank you for this fine work.

Not recommended, Didn't like the format of the book.......2001-10-24

I didn't agree with a lot of the suggested solutions to the techniques or examples she has listed about that specific technique mentioned in the book. For example, for technique #12 Shock Value, the author wrote "If your daughter won't stop telling little lies, tell one of your own and let her see what it feels like" I felt the book was also not very well written. For example, for each "Seeing it In Action" she seemed to focus on 4,8,9, and 12 yrs. olds. For each technique, she tells you why it works, gives a deeper message about that technique & seeing it in action which gave examples about what to do about that specific technique.

don't let the 'Chaplain' part fool you, an excellent war novel.......2007-09-24

One of the VERY few Chaplains in Vietnam to get the Combat Infantry Badge (you have to get shot at a lot for that). He feels he needs to be 'with' the grunts to serve them, so he goes on patrols and the guys really like him. An interesting point of view and a good read.

Fascinating and compact--a great find.......2007-07-13

Taylor uses the tube lines as launching points for these journeys--very smart--and the cards are small enough to so you won't stick out too much as a tourist as you stare at them trying to find your destination. The maps are very specific and though my wife and I didn't try all of the walks, we found the West End walks insightful.

An excellent way to see London.......2006-10-31

I bought these because I live in London and sometimes I just want to go for a walk. But you do get in a rut: same places, same views.

These short walks take you into some of the most lovely areas of London, places outside the tourist attractions. One of our favorites was Holland Park, such a lovely surprise with the gorgeous Kyoto Garden koi pond and the treed lanes. We were often in Notting Hill, but hadn't ever stumbled into this area. This park is SO different from Hyde Park, so much more intimate.

If you are coming to London for the first or, especially, for the third or fourth time, pick these up and see parts of London you never dreamed of.

Comprehensive source of information on coin prices. Gives a good amount of info on coin background. Also provides useful information about coin collecting in general. It is short on historical details but overall an excellent guide and I recommend it highly.

There are a lot of books with garden decorating ideas out there, but it's rare that you find a book of this caliber. The ideas, the photography and the writing are all exceptional.

I strongly recommend this book for anyone who loves spending time in their garden.
