Book Description

The Three Incestuous Sisters is an evocative, illustrated book by the best-selling author of The Time Traveler's Wife, Audrey Niffenegger. Reminiscent of the gothic style of Edward Gorey, Niffenegger's visually stunning narrative affirms her genius as a storyteller. These rich pages present the tale of three very different sisters: one who is beautiful, one who is smart, and one who is talented. A melodrama of sibling rivalry unfurls as one sister is driven mad with jealousy due to the passionate love affair of another. Escalating to a dizzying climax, the romance of the two lovers ends in sabotage, shame, and despair. Haunting illustrations and lyrical prose depict a timeless tale of love, revenge, and ultimately, transcendence.

The Three Incestuous Sisters is a unique and lavish tour de force, which showcases Audrey Niffenegger's incredible talent as an artist and a writer.

4 out of 5 stars Beautiful pictures with very spare prose.......2007-05-17

Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife is one of the best time travel stories of recent years, and one of Tammie's favorite books. The Three Incestuous Sisters is Niffenegger's latest and, title aside, a very strange book. Two sisters, Bettine and Ophile, fall in love with Paris, the lighthouse keeper's son. Bettine and Paris conceive a child, and the third sister, Clothilde, begins to commune with the fetus. Ophile goes mad with jealousy and it all ends very badly. The beautiful pictures tell the story as much as the very spare prose. The closest thing to which I can compare it is the work of Edward Gorey.

5 out of 5 stars Evocative art book.......2006-12-26

"The Three Incestuous Sisters" is what author Audrey Niffenegger deems as "a novel in pictures." There is little text in the book, but every spread includes a beautiful full-page illustration that depicts the story of three grown sisters, Bettine, Clothilde, and Ophile. The sisters live together in a secluded house near the sea. When lightning kills the lighthouse keeper, his handsome young son, Paris, arrives to take his place. Paris and Bettine quickly fall in love and conceive a child. Psychic Clothilde communicates with the unborn child, while Ophile is jealous of the union and eventually drives Paris and Bettine out of the house. A confrontation ultimately occurs in the city, where tragedy ensues. Only one sister remains at the house in the end, and she is eventually able to set some things right.

I'm a huge fan of "The Time Traveler's Wife," which is why I was so interested in reading this book. "The Three Incestuous Sisters" is NOTHING like Niffenegger's full-length novel, but it stands alone as a beautiful, erotic, and tragic work of art. The illustrations are haunting and tell the story much more than the sparse narrative text. This is a unique art book and a very illuminating story, and I'm thrilled to finally own a copy!

5 out of 5 stars Handsome Art Book.......2006-09-29

This beautiful book looks like a limited edition artist's book, which is what it was originally. It's filled with large format aquatints (a form of etching) which are gracefully drawn and colored. One can tell from the quality of the lines how much she loved doing this. The publisher did a great job of reproduction, so important in a book of this kind. You can literally cut out the illustrations, frame them, and hang them on your walls as fine art, they're that good. As an illustrated novelist myself I found this book to be inspiring.

There is little text, but what there is is poetic and dreamlike, and tells a disturbing but haunting tale of sisterly love and jealousy. It's not a regular novel like her best-seller "The Time Traveler's Wife," which I also loved, but it tells its story mostly in pictures. I highly recommend this for lovers of book art.

4 out of 5 stars Beautiful.......2006-09-18

The Three Incestuous Sisters is a novel in pictures by Audrey Niffenegger, author of The Time Travelers Wife. The basic story line is about three sisters who become jealous over a young lover who chooses Bettine, the beautiful, yellow-haired sister, to be his lover.

The story in words isn't much more than that--the fall out of jealousy and passion, but the story in pictures is so much more than that. The pictures are done in aqua tints, which Niffenegger describes as a very difficult and archaic medium with which to work. She doesn't know exactly how the picture will turn out until it's printed--which has to be exciting.

I bought this book because I loved Time Traveler's Wife so much. TTW was an intriguing book and was written while Niffenegger was in "writer's block" on TTIS. The 14 years it took to get TTIS completed was worth it, especially when you consider the "bonus" of TTW.

4 out of 5 stars Stunning.......2006-08-28

This is a stunning piece of artwork. There were a few pages that I considered cutting out and framing. The art is dark, deep, and honest.

The story lacks in some areas but it is made up for in the artwork. A great conversational piece or coffee table book.

Book Description

Red-hot jazz meets cold-blooded murder.

When Lord Pastern Bagott takes up with the hot music of Breezy Bellair and his Boys, his disapproving wife Cecile has more than usual to be unhappy about. The band's devastatingly handsome but roguish accordionist, Carlos Rivera, has taken a rather intense and mutual interest in her precious daughter Felicite. So when a bit of strange business goes awry and actually kills him, it's lucky that Inspector Roderick Alleyn is in the audience. Now Alleyn must follow a confusing score that features a chorus of family and friends desperate to hide the truth and perhaps shelter a murderer in their midst.

An eccentric close to the point of lunacy, Lord Pastern and Baggott, develops one of his frequent obsessions, this time playing drums in a swing band. He is convinced that he could make this a full time occupation, regardless of the fact that he has no talent whatsoever and is being used as a money man by the band. His stepdaughter becomes infatuated with Carlos, an oily, social climbing smarmer who is the band's piano accordionist who is using her for his own ends. When Carlos is killed by a metal projectile, supposedly fired from Lord Pastern's revolver, Inspector Alleyn investigates the crime and uncovers a hornet's nest of drug dealing (very exotic in 1949 when this book was written), blackmail and other shady dealings. The book is very well written but somehow terribly old fashioned in a style earlier than the 40's eg. would anyone in the 40's refer to a mirror as a looking glass? I found it to be an ok read, but not really gripping.

4 out of 5 stars The Death of a Cad.......2005-03-08

Lord Pastern and Bagott is England's most eccentric nobleman, egotistical, publicity hungry, and given to sudden and bizarre enthusiasms that tend to land him on the front page. His latest enthusiasm is to become a drummer with jazz band, and much to the horror of his long-suffering wife he manages to use his title to buy his way into one. In the process, however, his step-daughter Felicite falls for ultra-oily band member Carlos Rivera--and when Lord Pastern and Bagott and Carlos Rivera take to the stage the result is pure murder. Fortunately for all concerned, Inspector Alleyn happens to be in the audience at the time.

Ngaio Marsh is among the great masters of the British mystery novel, and her particular claim to fame is not so much in her plots as in her remarkable gift at creating character and setting. In WREATH FOR RIVERA she displays her ability to the full, peopling her novel with a host of memorable individuals and rushing the reader from the Pastern and Bagott household to a London night spot and back again. In this instance certain aspects of her plot are transparent, but she also handles the mystery quite well, and it will be the rare reader who spots the killer before Inspector Alleyn tells all.

Although WREATH FOR RIVERA is expertly written and in terms of plot may well be among Marsh's best efforts, I must admit that it is not among my favorites; like COLOUR SCHEME, which was written about the same time, the characters tend to emerge as extremely abrasive--cousins Carlisle and Edward are the exception--and in consequence it is less appealing than most of her other titles. Recommended nonetheless.

4 out of 5 stars Ms. Marsh is a genius in her genre!.......2004-12-10

I have read most of Ms. Marsh's books, and I am rereading some of them again. She is a master in her genre. In this book we see a little bit of a digression for her. Most of her books take place on the stage with actors and actreses as the protagonists. This one is on the stage, but it's with a swing band this time, not a play. Alleyn and Fox are trying to solve what does appear to be a very "fancy" murder as Fox puts it. A musician who plays an accordian dies on stage at the end of one of the band's numbers. When Fox and Alleyn start investgating they find that this Rivera is a very unsavoury character, and there could be lots of suspects. Most of the suspects they follow are from one family, and what a family it is! Talk about eccentrics! Fox and Alleyn get through all the window-dressing and unmask the real murder. Good stuff here.

3 out of 5 stars A very tricky murder mystery.......2002-09-26

No one would be expected to shed any tear when piano-accordionist Carlos Rivera was killed during a performance. His boss Breezy Bellairs could replace him. His team mates weren't too keen on him. Even his unofficial fiance Felicite De Suze seemed to have changed her mind about him just before the performance. To all appearances, Carlos was killed by a make-shift dart fired from a gun held by Lord George Pastern as part of the performance, minus the dart of course.

Inspector Alleyn happened to be among the spectators and of course, he was asked to take the lead in the investigation. It would be a tricky investigation. Lord Pastern was known to be eccentric and showy, changing hobbies like seasonal fashion. His wife had been determined to break off her daughter's facsination with Carlos, and Lady Pastern had roped in two relatives, Carlisle Wayne and Edward Manx, to support her.

Ngaio Marsh painted an almost comical family of misfits with the Pasterns and relatives. In all appearances, their interrelationship were critical to the solution of the mystery. However, this was where Marsh could not measure up to the other great mystery writers such as Sayers and Christie.

Her investigators went painstakingly over the details several times. However, experienced mystery readers would quickly be able to identify non-relevant details, which for some reason Marsh repeated in more than one chapter.

Her analysis were also not as brilliant. Evidently, the family members had turned to a magazine columnist known only as G.P.F. (Guide, Philosopher and Friend) for confidential advice. I had correctly deduced the true identity of G.P.F. while Marsh's Alleyn had been badly misled. Given the clues he had, how he could have jumped to the errornous conclusion was unforgivable.

The only saving grace, besides creating an interesting family such as the Pastern, was the murder was a real mystery worth reading.

4 out of 5 stars Great Gimmick, Long Book.......2007-08-05

I've never cared for Ngaio Marsh's Inspector Roderick Alleyn as a character. He seems stuffy and annoyingly patronizing to his loyal assistant Fox. However, the Inspector Alleyn books are consistently good detective stories.

"A Wreath for Rivera" (APA "Swing, Brother, Swing") has a nice plot with interesting, if somewhat cardboard, characters. The primary plot gimmick is very good -- so good that I remember it later being used in 3 TV series: "Burke's Law", "Blacke's Magic", & "Monk". I wish I had read "A Wreath for Rivera" before I had been exposed to this trick; I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more.

I don't object to slow-paced stories, but this one has too many similar scenes. A careful reduction of the length by about 20% of "A Wreath for Rivera" would improve its readability.

4 out of 5 stars 12 stories of *really* special personals ads.......2005-04-28

Each story begins with the text of the ad leading to the initial blind date between the principals. While at least one of the parties involved always has *something* unusual about them, vampirism is only one of the possibilities. Some tales are told from the viewpoint of the person placing the ad, some from the opposing view, and some by interested third parties.

The four ads incorporated into the cover art of the first U.S. paperback printing are from actual stories herein.

Braunbeck, Gary A.: "Starless and Bible Black" have been the colour of many nights in Wayne's life; his parents are gone, he's never had a steady girlfriend. But he's conjured one woman's image in his dreams so vividly, for so long, that she's become *almost* real - she just needs his help to take the last few steps...helping her free herself from the handful of others whose shared image of her helped give her substance.

Crowther, Peter: "Bernard Boyce Bennington and the American Dream" revolves around a neighbourhood bar in New York: the Land at the End of the Working Day, where the regulars know how to drown out unwanted sounds. "No sound truly dies - particularly the sound of an unanswered question." The title character is looking for a woman from the personals who promises change, but won't take anyone back after dropping them.

Davis, R.: "A Kiss at Midnight" The narrator has responded to a personals ad from an attractive single woman looking for a one-night stand. He should've asked why she needed an *ad* for that, but as a widower who can't stop looking for a relationship to match what he lost, he's deliberately seeking to guide his expectations into more reasonable channels. To make matters interesting, both parties have misjudged themselves and what they want, while being honest in answering their respective ads.

de Lint, Charles: "Trading Hearts at the Half Kaffe Cafe" Lyle wants to meet someone for whom each day is important, someone who isn't as jaded as the other werewolves he knows, so he's heading out for his first date with Mona. (It's fun to watch their respective roommates kibitzing as they get ready; in Lyle's case, Tyrone a) thinks this is a bit perverted, and b) helpfully mentions that Lyle's teeth start morphing a little when he gets nervous. And you thought *you* had first date nerves. Mona's roommate is full of how-to-make-conversation advice from her current reading.)

Friesner, Esther M.: "Werotica" As usual, Friesner's entry is the likeliest to make you laugh. :) Many of the other personals ads in this collection feature people sending coded messages to each other, but Weylin's ad's hints about werewolves were unintentional. Chanetta, unfortunately, is a werewolf groupie, and won't be satisfied until she sees Weylin's *true* self. Weylin's a mundane financial analyst, but Chanetta has given him some very memorable evenings in their brief relationship; what can he do, since she won't believe his protests?

Hoffman, Nina Kiriki: Brenda (the narrator) and her friends read the personals for laughs, but on a whim they take "Secret Identities" and answer one of them ("Wizard Seeks Witch") to settle a disagreement over which girl will get an answer. Brenda's answer contains some hidden truths she's not ready to discuss with her friends, though.

Huff, Tanya: After ending his relationship with Vicki, Henry Fitzroy places an ad seeking "Someone to Share the Night". There *really* ought to be a special section of the personals for the people of the night...

Reichert, Mickey Zucker: "Personals Wishes" begins with a meeting between strangers on a train, but in this case, the mysterious stranger's question is, what would the personals ad of your fantasy mate look like? (Told in 3rd person but inside the viewpoint of one character at a time, through 3 viewpoints in all.)

Rusch, Kristine Kathryn: "Folk Lure" Told in 1st person by the next-door neighbour of the woman responding to the ad, a PI who uses the personals extensively in his own bread-and-butter work of divorce investigation. But why would gorgeous M Folklorist use the personals?

Sinor, Bradley H.: "Fireflies" is a metaphor appearing often in this story. Miranda, a member of the Pack living in New York, sees both the lights of Manhattan and the lives among those lights as fireflies - brief lives that vanish once touched. But Miranda's personals ad in the EAST VILLAGE WEEKLY wasn't placed out of loneliness, but exasperation from too much intrusive company, deliberate provocation to the Elders and their rules. But Kyle turns out to be the greatest of rarities, someone with whom she can be herself. Unfortunately, her gesture included openly announcing her intentions beforehand to the biggest gossip in the family...

Waggoner, Tim: Connie appears to have been looking for a "Fixer Upper", someone she could help reach his 'full potential.' But Brad still seems way out of her league: chain-smoking, therapy for chemical dependencies - in short, he can't believe his luck. And amazingly enough, he seems to be turning himself around under Connie's influence. What is her secret? (Good story, but jumps from the first few months of the relationship to a much later timeframe in the epilogue. Would work better in a longer format or if the later changes in the relationship were otherwise shown rather than summarized.)

West, Michelle: "Deja vu" The unnamed narrator sustains herself on human memories - those soaked with grief at the loss of a loved one, in particular. She herself didn't place the personals ad; an old, old friend attempting to nudge her into rejoining the world did that. They aren't vampires - they consider them wasteful. See if you can deduce how they interact with their human companions by story's end.

Hey, even a vampire/werewolf/succubus needs love and companionship. This collection of short stories takes a dark, sometimes humorous look at what happens when the otherworldly become lonely and seek out someone (or something) to spend those long evenings with. Contributors are:

                  Mickey Zucker Reichert
                  Kristine Kathryn Rusch

                  Nina Kiriki Hoffman
                  Michelle West
                  Charles de Lint

There are some well-knowns and some not-so-well-knowns, but this is a strong collection with some incredible short stories. In my reading experience, any anthology bearing Martin. H. Greenberg's name is a sure-fire winner. Don't be fooled by the title; this one has something for everyone, not just the vampire fans. You can't go wrong with this collection!

4 out of 5 stars Supernaturals in the Singles Columns.......2002-08-24

This is an excellent collection of tales of the supernatural with a theme of the personal ads. Almost all of the short stories are excellent, especially; Werotica, Secret Identities, and Folk Lure. Each is very different, while remaining within the theme. There are few authors that I will look up again.

                  5 out of 5 stars 12 interesting stories........2002-07-16

Cool book. This is a great book to purchase if you want to check out different writers in the "weird" genre. Some of them, like "Personal Wishes" are actually rather uplifting, while ones like "Starless and Bible Black" are more disturbing. But the coolest one so far (I still have a few more to go) has been "Folk Lure" which was unique (although this one among others has nothing to do with vampires). For 7$ you can't go wrong, if you like this type of read, then I'm sure you'll find at least 8 great stories in this one.

                  4 out of 5 stars Good fun.......2001-09-04

This book is as enjoyable as the list of contibutors would lead you to expect. The stories range from dark to hilarious, by way of curious, wry, moving, poignant and witty. More than just vampire stories, this anthology covers the dating lives of werewolves, wannabees, djinns, and succubi as they search for love, sex, and companionship (not to mention dinner!)

The wide range of stories meant that there were a one or two I didn't much care for, but most were quite enjoyable. This is a great book for the bus ride or your lunch break.

                  • The twelve building blocks of self-esteem--from feelings of security and belonging to decision making, pride, and trust
                  • Instilling values and strengthening family ties
                  • The problem of peer pressure: giving your child the confidence to handle it

                  • Safeguarding your teenager from sexually transmitted diseases
                  • Adapting to different family types--from single-parent to adoptive to blended
                  • Helping your teenager cope with serious illness or death in the family, sibling rivalry, separation, or divorce

                  Plus
                  • Helping your teenager find the right college--or make an alternative choice
                  • Teens, the Internet, and the law

This is the cookbook every cruising sailor has been waiting for. It contains recipes from all over the world, covering everything from seafood, meat and eggs to pasta, rice and vegetables, as well as fruit, salads, baked goods and drinks.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent book for those not familiar with extended sailing.......2006-04-26

This book covers everything that a boater needs to know to prepare meals when the entire family will be on board a boat for a week or two at a time. As soon as you get over the shock and fear of no grocery store for a couple of weeks, run out and immediately buy this book.

The author covers all the aspects of cooking on a boat that you don't initially give any thought to if you are a weekend sailor. It is just not that easy to store everything that you need, cook while the boat tacks and jibes, and make certain that everyone's nutritional requirements are met. These things are important and the author covers them all. The author provides fruit and vegetable storage timelines under various types of storage. There are tips for cleaning the boats galley that only require 4 substances be contained on board.

The author also provides blank inventory sheets so that you can keep track of what you have on hand so that you are ready to restock at port. The author also gives you advice of what to buy and where to buy it at most common sailing ports outside the US. The Caribbean ports are covered in the most detail but the author does address other areas as well.

It never occurred to me that you could make rice, pasta or yogurt in a thermos, but darned if it doesn't work. And once you boil the water and close the lid you are back on deck. Would you have thought of gardening on a boat? Me neither, but this book covers sprouting and tells you how to do it.

If you are planning an extended cruise, this book is very complete, and will be much more useful than you think.

I purchased this as a Father's Day gift for my dad, who is a fountain pen addict. He loved the book and the history, but especially the pictures of the old ads for some of the classic fountain pens. He continues to talk about the book and for about $20 I found a gift that has become one of his favorites.

This is a beautiful book. The covers and pages are of high quality papers. Steinberg has written a truly excellent book on history of the fountain pens. Though by no means it is comprehensive and detail but definitely more than adequate for any serious collectors as part of the essential knowledge on fountain pens. The illustrations are well laid out accompanying the story and they are simply superb. A very elegant book and suitable for both beginners and serious collectors. Even good as a gift to introduce someone to pen collecting. I simply love the book and a pleasure to read it.

I've received the book yesterday. It is not the first related to Fountain Pens that I see, but this one is really nice. It is not written as the others but as a review of the history and the kind of pens. I've read almost a half of it last night!

This lady is an amazing painter -- her art is absolutely charming. However, her projects in this book are heavy-handed and WAY over the top for scrapbooking.

In most cases, the colors of paper & embellishments detract from the photos and journaling too much. And to call them "scrapbook" projects is a disservice to the reader -- because of their three-dimensionality, most projects presented are better suited to a shadowbox than an album.

As I browsed these projects, they reminded me of the garish chintz & over-engineered "Victorian" decorating craze of the 1980s, which has all but passed into oblivion. Not that you can't use some of Ms. Rios' examples for inspiration on your scrapbook pages, but if you're looking for a TRUE scrapbook resource, there are much better books than this available.

                        Book Description

British illustrator David Hughes deals in the stuff of war journalism, international politics and social crises. An artistic descendant of George Grosz and Otto Dix, he reveals the human being as a lay figure subjugated to the determination of strange powers. From the suffering of a "Tommy" mutilated in the Falkland War to the mental anguish of a young rape victim, from caricatures of Margaret Thatcher to Osama bin Laden, he leaves no punches unpulled, no face unwrinkled, no presidents clothed (see the naked George Bush, Sr. on p. 25). The state of the public health care system is a special matter of the heart for him: in his drawings, delivery rooms often look like rabbit stables; condoms are the subject of much mordant satire. Made in England but mostly for export, Hughes' drawings have appeared in the London Times, Punch, the Washington Post, The New Yorker and DU.

Not much bad to say about this book, especially if you like weird drawings. I would put this on the same level as Ralph Steadman's "Tales of the Weird". If you don't know that book, look it up. It's amazing

1 out of 5 stars True? Maybe, but it's still garbage........2007-09-24

I won't waste anyone's time arguing about whether or not this book is true. I wasn't there, I've never met Ms. Page, and I therefore have no idea about which version of events is correct.

I will quote the book from its introduction: "I know Bettie doesn't want her secret past revealed, but I opted for the truth."

                            ...What?

This man that dares to call himself a journalist thinks he has the right to air Bettie's dirty laundry? He thinks it's okay to humiliate and hurt her because, what, he's a fan? I guess by that logic it's okay if I look into his life and told the world about (hypothetically--obviously I don't know Richard Foster anymore then Bettie Page) his erectile dysfunction or the way he beats his kids. Everyone has skeletons in their closet. What makes it his right to reveal them?

Real journalists put themselves out on a limb to expose stories that are important. This horrible person who decided to ruin Bettie, profit off of it and then justify himself by saying it was for her own good doesn't deserve to call himself anything but a garbage spewing vulture. Whether the information is true or not makes no difference; what matters is that Bettie didn't want him to tell, and as the information in this book is in no way important to anyone's life Foster had no right to tell it.

I stopped reading the book right after the introduction and threw it away, and I suggest you do the same.

As others have clearly opined, this is a juvenile and cliched bit of writing ....that Bettie's lost past is revealed is what it is... she lives in a group home for the mentally ill with regular meetings with a psychologist.....(at the time of this writing 1996) as others including her brother jockey for her rights and profits is....well the under belly of the american dream...what would be of worth is a biography that is based on her and others remembrance of what she did, how she felt and her dreams or thoughts....there is no depth here , some fact, many assumptions. However we are not going to get any reliable information from a very lost woman who must be visited by a case worker every week....there is no amount of money or fame that can change that fact....may she find some peace if not in this lifetime but the next...and as a footnote....why would anyone make assumptions about a person they see in a photograph?

A very sad tale of a woman broken by her fame and tortured by her problems. Wonderful pictures of Bettie in her prime and overall a very good book. I will agree that it is written in a tabloid style -it's not war and peace but it is a good read about an american icon.

This is the only reveiwer who can seriously keep it real for any of you potential buyers of this Bettie Page book. Everything in this book is horribly written, and ENTIRELY made up, it is EXTREMELY easy to see that, just look at the sample (if they still have it, if not, don't dish out a single penny of yours for this book, it's not worth it in any way.)For any of you idiots who believe this stuff- GET A LIFE!! This book actually wants you to beleive that at some point in the recent years of her life she-having made millions and million of dollars from her career, and still making money from her legacy- is so poor that she moves in with some stranger to room with in a tiny house, and out of the blue trys to kill her roommate one night because she's so crazy now? That is THE biggest load of crap I have ever heard. This book is not worth anyone even considering buying. All it is is media hype (that was never in the real media, might I add) that some sad pathetic liar poor excuse for an author who doesn't even know how to write past a fourth grade level wants you to believe! If any of this crap was true, don't you think it would be easy to track down Bettie in the real media and expose her on tv and in newspapers?? The only place you will ever hear any of this stuff is in this horribly written, made up pile of lies. It's a waste of time to read this book, and anyone who believes this crap is almost as pathetic and in need of A LIFE as the author is. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BOOK THAT IS NOTHING MORE THAN A WAY TOO LONG TABLOID WRITTEN BY A FOURTH GRADER!!

4 out of 5 stars All too human Bettie Page.......2005-08-31

I used to see Bettie's picture nearly everywhere : magazines, books, albums... I knew about her and always thought "that's too much, she's too beautiful, a female jaguar with black hair, perfect face, perfect body"... This book shows the very human side of Bettie page and I was immediately drawn to her as a human being. This book showed me that she was all human and struggling to make it in Hollywood - but she stood her ground and did not fall prey to the infamous casting couch.
It's a beautiful and sad story at the same time. Can't wait to see a film about her.
