Well Done!.......2007-10-02
This book was very touching and like many of the reviews almost impossible to put down. I found myself one evening at 2 am finishing it up.
perhaps right for some but not for me.......2007-08-29
If you want to know where all though guys in cookie-cutter gay ghettos in places like Chelsea or the Castro come from, read this book. Otherwise save your time. The book is reasonably well written and a good take on some of the inanities of growing up in contemporary suburbia in America, though this is far from original. I suppose one has to have a certain empathy or at least sympathy for its main character and his dilemmas of growing up gay in said suburbia, and his alienation from the general philistinism of that world, to engage with this novel. My reaction, however, was that he was rather self-absorbed and needed to get over himself. What was a bit more interesting is how this character suggests the sources of the above-mentioned refugees and their particular sensibilities (such as they are!) that crowd into blue-state cities on the coasts these days. But if you find them as generally uninteresting and cliched as some of us do you might not want to bother with "The World of Normal Boys".
An excellent reading experience.......2006-09-25
Well written, thought provoking and entertaining. This book is all of these and more. The characters are elegantly drawn against the gritty realities of 1978 suburbia. To be a gay teenager in such an atmosphere makes you "different," and Soehnlein creates a sympathetic portrait of a teenager coming to realize the extent of his own worth. I look forward to Soehnlein's next book.
Not what I expected.......2006-07-07
I guess I am rather new to gay fiction and picked this one up before moving overseas for an assignment. I half expected it to be very stereotypical, campy and cheezy...in the end I ended up passing it along to someone else to read as I found it to really reach out and touch me on some deeper plane. I dont know why - just did. In any case really enjoyed the story and style in which it was written. Another book i had picked up in the same genre doesnt even compare to this one.
Not a single false note in coming-of-age novel.......2006-06-22
K.M. Soehnlein did not strike a single false note for me in his coming-of-age novel. The non-linear nature of many conversations (which still communicate much to both the listeners AND the speakers), the guilt and excitement that a person feels when he continues to experience life during tragic circumstances, the way a series of bold decisions suddenly add up to a life spinning wildly out of control: all of these ring true to me.
The protagonist Robin McKenzie is destined for greater things than his suburban New Jersey town can give him -- he's smart, creative, and hungry -- but we're lucky to have a peak into the half-year when his life and identity are transformed (unfortunately, by an accident when childhood teasing gets out-of-hand).
The book is written for adults, although older teenagers might be ready for it. I imagine that some high school gays will dog-ear certain hot sections for re-reading. I would have done so had I stumbled on such a book when I was in high school. Wait, I did ...
**SPOILER**
And for once in recent fiction, a gay relationship in high school is shown to be the intoxicating, confusing, educational and FINITE experience that it often is.
I look forward to reading more from K.M. Soehnlein.

Book Description
Before she met and married the Reverend Thomas Fairchild and moved to sleepy little Aleford, Massachusetts, Faith Sibley Fairchild had a catering business in the most colorful, frenetic, and exciting city in the world...
Young, ambitious and single in New York City in the late '809s, Faith Sibley is energized by the early success of her Have Faith catering enterprise. But she's cast into an unexpected new role when she runs into old high school friend Emma Stanstead at a swanky uptown party: sleuth! An anonymous blackmmailer is threatening to expose certain secrets of socialite Emma's less than glamorous past -- thereby destroying her reputation and her conservative husband's fast-rising political career -- and Faith fearlessly leaps into the fray. Though she lacks experience, Faith's keen instinct, insight, and determination to unmask and extortionist quickly carry her deep into the high and low life of the bustling Big Apple. And when a murder raises the stakes, Faith realizes that it's not just her old friend's good name that's in peril...it's Emma's life itself.

Apple's a little mushy.......2002-05-19
I was disappointed with this book. I like Faith Fairchild, although her gourmet attitude gets kind of annoying sometimes. I mean, reading about her life is like reading about a foreign country. But it can be very entertaining. But this time out, all we got were leftovers. It seems like the writer is getting tired of the Boston area and decided to cast around for more interesting backgrounds. We've done Paris, done Norway, done the coast, now it's time for NYC. Problem is, she left all the other characters we care about behind. By setting this book before Faith got married, all we hear about is her parents and sis (OK, kind of interesting), a boyfriend we know she didn't marry, and a friend we never heard of before. She didn't even include a epilogue that wrapped everything together and brought it back to the present. I was really disappointed.
A Flat Souffle.......2001-04-21
All the ingredients are here: a gutsy heroine, money, a love interest, a mystery, a couple of murders, money, and beautiful people. Katherine Page stirs 'em all together, and even adds a cateress and a couple of recipes, just like some of the other leading mystery writers do.
And what have we got? Well, not a sumptous feast and not even a pouffy souffle. What is served to us is "The Body in the Big Apple" (ok, the food analogy doesn't work here). It's a pitiful offering: not much of a novel, not much of an entertainment, not even a particuarly good presentation. I found myself dozing off during the last ten pages--I had figured out whodunit and why, and I really didn't much care one way or the other. Even the apple recipes at the end of the book were gimmicky and not very exciting.
This book is not a good investment of your money or your time.
Not one of the best.......2001-03-24
I was intrigued at the thought of a prequel to the Faith Fairchild story. However, the book turned out to be a letdown.
I was disappointed to find that Faith was the same shallow, self-centered snob she always comes across as...only it was ten times more annoying without the usual cast of characters (particularly Pix) and the small-town New England setting to even things out. And it was even worse with the book being set in New York City, and Faith's intermingling with the "upper crust." The rich society cliches and constant use of expensive brand names and designers was way overdone. The author seemed to put so much emphasis on Faith up on a pedestal (she'd always been the dumper rather than the dumpee, there were plenty of men who'd drop everything for a call from her) that after awhile she stopped seeming real and stopped being likeable.
I also found the story not up to par from this author, whose work I usually enjoy greatly. Certain branches of the storyline were never resolved. Did Todd ever manage to track her down? Why did Harvey tell his mother to make her leave? Did she ever hear from Richard again? What was the connection between Lucy and Adrian? Why did Phelps want to borrow money from Hope? And, being that this was a prequel, I seriously doubt we'll ever go back 20 years again to find out. Since the author included a present-day epilogue, it seemed that some of those minor loose ends could and should have been wrapped up for those who read the series regularly.
The main plot wasn't too bad, but by the end of the book I'd already figured out whodunnit, which doesn't usually happen in this series. We were never told how Faith figured it out and what made her realize who it was, so I was left wondering where her conclusions came from...certainly not the same place as mine (one paragraph that seemed out of place and unnecessary, and made it obvious the author was trying to work in justification for her conclusion).
I'll look forward to the next adventure of Faith, and the knowledge that as trifling as I find her at times, Tom, the kids, and especially Pix, will be back to make for a very enjoyable read.
Prequel to "The Body" series.......2001-01-28
In a delightful change of pace, Katherine Hall Page, writes a prequel to this series. The book features Faith Sibley as a young, single girl in New York. Her catering business is just beginning to expand and she busily prepares delicious gourmet food for famous socialites. She is contacted by her old school chum, Emma, who is being blackmailed because of secrets in her past. In an effort to protect her husband Michael, an aspiring politician, Emma pays off the blackmailers. People connected with her past begin to commit suicide (at least according to police reports.) Emma becomes more and more distraught over these situations and Faith tries to help her solve these mysteries. It is interesting to look into Faith's past and to see how much she loved life in New York. She can almost convince the reader that New York IS a nice place to live. As always, her descriptions of the food she prepares are wonderful!
A wonderful and entertaining mystery.......2000-08-11
Kathryn Hall Page's mystery novels have all been very well written and entertaining. The Body In the Big Apple is a prequel of The Body In... mystery series. In this novel, Faith Sibley Fairchild is a caterer in New York City. She bumps into an old college friend at a party. Emma Morris -- Faith's friend -- is the wife of an important politician. Exasperated, she tells Faith that she is being blackmailed. She is the daughter of 60's radical Nathan Fox -- she hadn't known that fact until recently and the media scandal could cost her husband's political career. Also, Emma has other secrets that she hasn't told her husband. And that is how Faith begins to solve mysteries.
I found this book to be enchanting. I love how she described New York City -- especially since the story took place around Christmas -- and the recipes she had written down in the book. The characters are great and Faith is a strong and smart heroine. I suggest that you purchase this entertaining and exciting book. Oh, and I also suggest that you read the whole Kathryn Hall Page mystery series. They are all very entertaining. Enjoy.

Book Description
Polio is a disease of paradoxes, the major one being that although the threat of the 'dreaded disease' ended with the Salk vaccine in 1954, many polio survivors are now experiencing the onset of 'Post-Polio Syndrome' (PPS), new but related symptoms which may include chronic fatigue, muscle weakness, intolerance to cold, and more. In his groundbreaking book, Dr. Bruno has sounded an alarming wake-up call for both doctors and PPS sufferers, including a large number who were originally misdiagnosed with something other than polio and can now pursue the medical help they need. By revealing how the treatment of polio in the past has exacerbated what we now call PPS today, THEPOLIO PARADOX provides hope and new treatment information for an entire generation.

Had Polio... PPS now.......2007-07-29
This is a very helpful and informative work for Polio survivors AND their families. Believe it or not, there are some informed professionals "out there."
This book changed my life.......2007-01-03
I am a polio survivor and knew that I had one post-polio problem - swallowing difficulty. This has been getting worse for about five years, so I have searched for useful info on post-polio and found nothing until this book. As I read this book, I had numerous AHA! moments realizing that I had many other symptoms. Problems that I had been experiencing were suddenly explained to me. I have read and reread portions of the book, highlighted sections and forced all four of my kids and my husband to read these sections, so that they would understand what I was experiencing. My doctor also read the book and it has helped in my treatment. Every polio survivor should read this. Polio never goes away! I now understand that it is my constant companion and have been able to make many life style changes. Advice for those who did not have polio is not the same as advice for me. For instance, I learned that all the exercise that I had been doing to try to stay healthy was doing just the opposite. My doctor advised me to cancel my Curves membership and cut back on any activities that made me cold. I need warmth and rest, not cold and exercise. I was stunned, but feel better now.
it explains it all.......2006-03-16
A must read for anyone with polio in their past. I read it and decided it was written about me. It explains everything! Even things not thought about. The reader will understand why, how come, what if, and things not at the concious level yet.
Very informative reading, highly recommended........2006-03-09
This should be read by every polio survivor. It is a great learning tool and explanation of what we are experiencing all these years later. This should be shared with all family, friends and treating physicians.
The Polio Paradox.......2006-02-22
This is an extremely informative book. If you are a polio survivor and wonder what is happening to your body as you age, this has many answers.
I highly recommend it.

A Vegetarian Bread Book.......2005-09-12
I bought this book based on other reviews, but it is only a good bread book if you like to use ingredients such as soy milk, tofu, sprouted wheat, triticale, etc. If you want a much better bread book using whole grains and reasonable ingredients, buy Laurel's Kitchen Bread Book. If you want a great book on making great bread, buy either Crust and Crumb or The Bread Baker's Apprentice.
This book turned me into a bread maker..........2005-02-20
I had attempted breadmaking a number of times over the years, without a great deal of success. The clear instructions and information in this book, and the step-by-step recipe were exactly what I needed to get started. My first loaf turned out wonderfully, as have the other recipes I have made since then.
This book uses a cold, slow rise method which increases the digestibility of the bread and the availability of nutrients (although there are instructions for speeding up the process for those who wish to). There are sections on quick breads, yeast breads, sourdough, natural rise breads, flatbreads, etc. as well as a section of breadmachine recipes.
I would highly recommend this book.
Handmade Breadmaker's Heaven.......2001-06-23
I found this book very useful, even though I am a confirmed bread machine user and this book is intended for handmade bread makers. The chapter on grains is an indispensable guide for any cook, as it covers storage, selection and cooking grains; as well as a description of eleven different types of grain, from the various wheats to kamut, rye and more. You will also find information on leavening agents, sweeteners and tools. The 250+ recipes cover quick breads, sourdough, yeasted, flat and natural rise breads; and includes spreads, sauces and sandwiches. The chapter on sourdoughs gave me the knowledge and confidence to begin making a sourdough myself (it makes a delicious and aromatic bread). My favorite recipes to be found in this book are "Mellow Muffins", "Got the Blues Muffins", "Fruit Sauce Raisin Bread" "Sourdough Grits Bread" and "Sprouted Wheat Bread".
Even Better Than the Original!.......1998-10-29
Susan Cheney's original edition of Breadtime Stories was a wonderfully complete guide to breads and things that go with them, but this extensively revised edition is, in many ways, even better than the original. It is attractively designed, full of technical information about grains and the baking process, chock full of wonderful recipes, and a pleasure to read and use.
Those familiar with the original edition will find lots of new recipes, including a really unique and helpful section on whole grain baking for bread machines. To make room for the new bread recipes, some of the original material has been dropped, but this is still a great book with hundreds of great recipes.
Cheney doesn't make a big deal about it, but this is a vegetarian cookbook that vegans will find especially appealing. Her scone recipes put commercially available scones to shame, despite her use of healthy alternatives to dairy products. The subtitle -- A Down to Earth Cookbook -- aptly describes her successful effort to present bread as a foundation for complete meals. You'll find recipes for pizzas, calzones, wraps, spreads, fillings and a variety of other vegetarian foods you won't find anywhere else.
Cheney's personal and engaging writing "voice" really brings this book to life. Experienced bakers and beginners will find it to be an equally appealing addition to their collections
Book Description
Shooters prize the semiautomatic Glock for its reliability and ease of use. But what many may not know is that with a few scraps of metal and some simple hand tools, the amateur tinkerer can convert any Glock to full automatic. The conversion design detailed in this book allows properly licensed individuals to transform a regular semiauto pistol into one that delivers selective-fire operation without altering the major components of the gun such as the receiver (frame) or slide. Step-by-step instructions, professionally prepared technical illustrations of weapon functions in semi and full-auto combined with high-quality photos showing the modified factory components and their proper relationships with the full-auto conversion parts allow the reader to clearly see and understand how the whole system works. Warning: Actual construction of the weapon described in this book may be illegal under federal, state, and local laws. All BATF rules apply, and the BATF actively pursues and prosecutes anyone who violates federal gun statutes. Therefore, this book is for academic study only.

One reason to buy this book...........2005-07-26
....To make a glock full-auto. It is a 58 page book that gives you step by step instructions on how to turn a glock fully automatic including blue prints and schematics, its rather user friendly and easy to do. There is nothing else in this book other than directions to do what I mentioned above.
Glock.......2005-01-27
I was VERY disapointed with this book. If all you want to know about is converting the glock to full auto, you might like it, that is all it covers.
Customer Reviews:
Use this book for more than quilting.......2007-06-23
While this book was written for quilters, it's a great design resource for any needle artist. The author defines and explains terms such as depth, iridescence, luminosity, luster, opalescence, and transparency. She explains design and perspective for the quilter, but what are fibers if not unwoven cloth?
Even if you have no ambition to design and slavishly follow the designer's color recommendations, I'd suggest acquiring this book. It will help you understand why a designer made certain color choices and what effect he/she was attempting to achieve.
the best book I've seen on the use of color in quilting.......2000-05-13
This book is a must-have for any serious quilter. It contains the most comprehensive information on all aspects of color as they relate specifically to quilting, with marvelous full color illustrations that amplify the already-excellent written material. The color photos of magnificent quilts are in themselves worth the price of the book. This is a book to be consulted over and over-- a complete reference manual.

Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

This book will chat your ear off, one gal pal to another. Arranged like a high-spirited scrapbook of quips and rapidly dispensed disclosures, Jen-X is somewhat of a surprise. In this completely entertaining tell-all, Jenny McCarthy has indeed packaged herself as an open book. This is a tale enamored neither by ambition or success; it's a BH/AH memoir--before and after Hollywood--sometimes raucous, sometimes coolly self-assessing. It's loaded with brash magazine and MTV-style graphics, cute pictures raided from the family album, and zany cartoons of friends, freaks, and phobias.
Jenny McCarthy tells you about growing up on the South Side of Chicago, about dropping out of college, about her breast implants at the age of 18 ("I mean, isn't that the American dream? To purchase fine new breasts on credit?"). Her advice on dating ("Rule #1: Fart immediately") is nothing if not empirical; her lessons learned as a Playboy Bunny, candid without being self-pitying. She talks about her life with comic grit: "Instead of becoming a campus honey, I was a bratwurst queen who sold sausage sandwiches for minimum wage over the counter at a Polish delicatessen in the same neighborhood where I grew up as a friendless geek. At nineteen, I'd already been turned down by every modeling agency in Chicago...." If McCarthy weren't a celebrity, Jen-X would still be worth reading. It's pop culture chronicled through the eyes of a Gen-Xer--fresh, self-deprecating, and silly, like a fun-house mirror.
Book Description
She's telegenic, brash, witty and spirited. And now she's starring in a new sitcom as part of NBC's Nielsen-bursting "Must See TV" lineup, plus she has her own smash-hit variety show on MTV. She is Jenny McCarthy -- the "It" Girl of the '90s -- and this is a look at her wild life via her "diary."
Welcome inside the crazy world of Hollywood, sudden stardom and rabid fandom in this heavily photographed, illustrated and designed "diary." An intimate peek inside the mind of the woman People named as one of the 25 Most Intriguing of the year, Jen-X showcases Jenny's offbeat wit, skewed sensibility and gentle wisdom -- traits that have already won her legions of fans and admirers.
The second of four daughters born to a housewife and a steel-plant foreman on Chicago's blue-collar South Side, McCarthy left college and made a cold call to the Playboy offices in the Windy City, becoming 1994's Playmate of the Year. From Singled Out to her highly rated MTV sketch-comedy show to her NBC sitcom, McCarthy is a star on the rise, with not a hint of an end in sight as to how high she'll go.
Vividly capturing all of the day-to-day drama, romance, heartbreak, action and humor of being Jenny, and filled with loads of wild new photographs specially commissioned for this book, Jen-X, like the woman herself, is headed straight for the top.
Customer Reviews:
Greatest book i've ever read.......1998-12-06
It tells us secrets about Jenny never evealed before. It's a little costly but well worth it.
Great book, with lots of detail........1998-11-03
I found the book to be a great information resource into her life and career start. The only thing I didn't like about the book was the out of order details, found to much jumping forward then back, or back then forward, but other than that, I thought is was a great book and I still love jenny in a big way, she is the greatest.
Silly Book.......1998-01-31
The title should tell it all: Jen X. It should read Jen O because she is a negative interger. Take away those breasts, and she is just another annoying self serving celebrity with little talent. This book is a must read for airheads, retards, mutants and crackheads. Enjoy!
The book was a very pleasent surprise!.......1998-01-19
When my boyfriend gave me this book as a joke for my birthday, I didn't find it very amusing! You see, up to this point, I was one of the hopefully few "Jenny-haters" out there. But I decided to give the book the benefit of the doubt and give it a whirl, and I have to say that I was more than just pleasently surprised! Jenny McCarthy is not only very down-to-earth, but she's witty, hilarious, and quite frankly...normal! It was so refreshing to read that she isn't perfect after all - that she had acne, and stretch marks, and bad hair days, and bozo boyfriends. This book flys by, and I really didn't want to put it down. I am so glad I decided to read this book, not only because it was 100% entertainment, but because it gave me a chance to meet the "real" Jenny McCarthy. I loved it!
