Zurich Robinson is a young black starting quarterback for an NFL expansion team who, after refusing the sexual advances of a local sportscaster, finds himself accused of her rape. Readers know he didn't do it, because he's staying celibate while he figures out his sexual identity, a process complicated by the fact that he's got two different men interested in him--one just for the sex, and one for the love. His defense attorney has romantic problems of her own. Luckily, his grandmother has enough faith-driven wisdom to see everybody through. Overall, And This Too Shall Pass isn't quite as engrossing as Harris's Invisible Life series, although fans of that book will be intrigued by Basil Henderson's supporting role here.
Book Description
A stellar quarterback, an ambitious sportscaster. What happens when rising stars collide?
In And This Too Shall Pass, Harris takes us into the locker rooms and
newsrooms of Chicago, where four lives are about to intersect in romance and
scandal. At the heart of the novel is the celibate Zurich, a rookie
quarterback for the Chicago Cougars whose trajectory for superstardom is
interrupted by a sexual assault charge by Mia, a sportscaster with her own
sights on fame. With his career in jeopardy, Zurich hires Tamela, a high-powered attorney, to defend him, while Sean, a gay sportswriter, covers the story and uncovers his heart.
All of these characters face the challenge of keeping the faith--in themselves and in God--while Harris's heartfelt storytelling reveals how the love of
family can help one to face the terrible legacy of long-held secrets.
Throughout these characters' search for self-knowledge, Harris weaves the
stories of MamaCee, Zurich's grandmother, whose lessons of faith teach one and all that "this too shall pass."
Breaking new ground in contemporary fiction, And This Too Shall Pass entertains and affirms with its stirring message about the healing power of family and faith.

Boring!!!!!!!!!!!.......2007-02-03
Sorry E. Lynn fans but I couldn't even finish this one whew! Thank God I got it from a thrift store for $1.00.
The characters draw you in.......2006-10-30
This is the first book by E Lynn Harris that I have read and it was actually better then I thought. I just finished reading a book called Passion Marks and saw this one pop up on a search. I truely enjoyed the character Zurich on his quest to find himself while being engulfed in the homophobic world around him. Then I felt a conection with Sean for some of his views on being black and gay and having faith. Most of all I liked the character Mama Cee, she really bought peace within the book...plus reminded me of some of my older family members. I think this was a very well written book and I'm now about to order Invisable life and start that series.
E got it going on.......2006-06-07
This book is soo good. I can't believe how this book ended. I love E. Lynn Harris' books.
Awsome!.......2005-12-10

The Sisterhood Journey Bookclub Review.......2005-07-12
This novel brought about a lively discussion as issues ranged from Gay Rights to Gays vs. Religion and family, from facing fears, to Male Dominance to Hetero-Sexual cultivation plus more. This book, which started off a little dry for most of us, was full of surprises and twists, not to mention love and romance. We voted this Novel as recommendable (2.5).
Book Description
New York Times bestselling author Barbara Dawson Smith mesmerizes readers once again in her latest novel of a woman forced to enter the aristocratic world she despises-only to find a man she can't live without...Dear Reader, nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; This is the story of how I, a penniless upstart, became a countess.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; I never set out to be the heroine in a romantic tale of derring-do. As a spinster of five-and-twenty, I was much too practical to imagine myself tracking a dangerous criminal or falling prey to ardent nonsense. Nor did I ever envision myself entering the gilded ballrooms of society where indolent aristocrats nibbled cake and traded gossip. But that was before my father was wrongfully imprisoned as a jewel thief. nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; Determined to uncover the true criminal, I posed as an impoverished widow and secured a post in the grand household of a noble family - the very family that had cruelly cast out my mother many years ago. Of course, they knew not who I was. To them, I was merely a servant, an invisible hireling. And little did I know, my daring plan would throw me into the path of Simon Croft, the almighty Earl of Rockford. nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; Arrogant, charming, and too handsome for his own good, he might have walked straight off a pedestal in a museum. I had no use for such a rogue, yet from the moment of our first meeting, he tempted my unruly heart. And soon, he threatened my schemes as well, for Simon had secrets of his own.... nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; -Claire, the Countess of Rockford

VERY Entertaining!.......2007-07-10
Claire goes undercover at her estranged family's home--so she can find the real jewelry theif and get her father out of prison. Simon has his own secret life which is unknowingly intertwined with Claire's.
I loved BDS's earlier books--Too Wicked to Love, etc, yet, I was not a fan of the Kenyon series. With this fast moving novel, Barbara has me back. There is a fun mystery--and unlike most Romances, I didn't figure out who the bad guy was the first page--and a sizzling romance. Claire and Simon are intellectual equals and their verbal spats are steamy. The character developement is also great--we are able to watch Claire grow into a woman and understand the circumstances of her life.
Nice try *spoilers*.......2007-01-23
2.5 stars. Interesting idea, but it honestly read like the author became bored with her own book and then realized within the last eighty pages she needed to start wrapping things up. What I mean by that is that we were hitting points and cutting to new scenes abruptly. But let's back up. First-I never truely connected to Simon. A lord supposedly straight as an arrow, who doesn't have a history with gambling and wage taking-suddenly makes a wage with his friend that he can mold any woman into being a countess. That would have been fine if the author stopped there, but then for him to be determined to win the wager that has no montary sakes-actually any sort of stakes other than to admit he was right or wrong-seemed wholly out of character. Then he obviously loses the bet but the author never has him admitting defeat or give his friend opportunity to say 'I told you so'. The wager is totally forgotten even by the author. The first love scene read like a disappointing quickie to me. Once he plunged into her (not noticing her virginal state) he huffed and puffed for one paragraph. I was left holding the book going 'is that it?'. I can understand if BDS doesn't do graphic sex, but she could have played with the romantic proses for at least a little longer than a paragraph. Fireworks, earth moving and imaginary soundtracks would have been nice instead of 'he plunged, she moved, and he empty his seed.'
Anyhoot, I also agree with Claire assessment of Lord Rockford. He was an over privelaged man with ought to do. Given the description of what he did for the Bow Street Runners amounted to being a snitch. In the begining you're led to believe that he pursues criminals all the time, but then in the middle of the book that he was never an arresting officer. If he were, he's cover would have been blown a long time ago. So, he spied and became a snitch. Very heroic. Not to mention it was hilarious for him to be at Havenden party in a room full of women, crawling all over the floor for buttons and such (plus the only man in the room) and think no one was watching a Lord doing such things. Why was he the only man allowed in the room? And while he was doing this the person who was robbed was busily chatting to Claire about matters that had no import to her personally. (Whether Lord Rockford was serious about her charge in marriage.) Lady, you were just robbed, act like it.
Then we have the rash decision to sleep with his Lordship to get to the note. Huh? This is when the scenes start jumping. We don't see Claire telling Simon she wants to go home with him. After making a decision, the next scene is with them showing up at his place and I'm left wondering wasn't she supposed to be looking for Rosabel? Then the ad in the paper saying that they were looking for her for questioning for the burglary that just happened the night before. Do you know how long it took for things to make it into print in 1816? So anyway, Simon announces he works for Bow Street and again the scene jumps to her going home. No reaction scene.
Rosabel tells her that she's been sacked. (No surprise) Another scene jump to her being at her father's old flat. I mean we just start hopping around because the author realizes she's running out of time to wrap this up. The whole marrying thing to save her father. I just didn't buy the love story. I felt like I was just going through the motions and being told they were in love. I didn't experience it. What did Simon being a boxer in school have to do with anything? I thought the climatic scene was going to show some good boxing between the hero and the Wraith. (Who stole because his friend was published and he wasn't? What???) that never came. Simon just show brute force on pawnbrokers who stall on answering his questions. Really, choking a pawnbroker because he doesn't readily answer your questions? You're investigating a burglary not a murder. Again, choking Warrington's personal valet...I think Claire's father got off lucky during his arrest, seeing how Rockford has a habit of choking people below his station. Overall I think it was a rushed formuliac job that was mediocre at best.
Not a keeper, but worth reading........2006-09-20
Was a pretty decent read. Just got a bit boring toward the end. The chemistry was fun to read. I'm with the reviewer, that stated that the cousin was a pain to read. I hope Ms Smith doesn't write about her in the future. I can see that being a very boring book if that happens. I'm glad I bought this book, it was entertaining. Just not enough to read again. I do love my books that I read over and over again.
Strong tension sexual and dramatic romance.......2006-04-24
Barbara Dawson Smith carved out a delightful niche in the historical romance mysteries. I fell into the reading very easily and refused to put the book down. Countess Confidential has strong tension sexual and dramatic romance. The love scenes were very steamy. I very much enjoyed Simon and Claire together. It's so funny that Simon thinks he wants a woman he can mold into the prefect wife but fall in love with a fiesty passionate woman. These two share quite a bit of chemistry that, at times, left me quite breathless. This was a sensually laden regency adventure featuring two lively character who spiced up the pages sparring with snappy dialogs as well as some very hot physical encounters. Strong character development adds to the tension-filled plot, creating a satisfying story. Countess Confidential is a great who done it. I LOVE the drama in this book. What is great is that it is dramatic but believeable. Lately I have been reading books that tons of drama but they don't make much since and simply don't flow well. Countess Confidential has a great flow to it. I am glad I started reading Countess Confidential on a Friday so I didn't have to but it down.
I can't wait until Barbara Dawson Smith next book comes out.
Delightful Deception!.......2006-04-13
Barbara Dawson Smith does it again with a delightful story of seduction and mystery. Everyone is not who they appear to be in this search for a countess and a thief. Claire Hollybrooke's mother Lady Emily Warrington married a scholar years ago and was shunned by her family and the ton. She died never reuniting with her family. Claire's father is arrested for the theft of jewels stolen from the Warrington household by a thief called "The Wraith." After his arrest Claire is determined to prove her father's innocence. She impersonates a widow and hires on as a companion to her cousin Lady Rosabel. Simon Croft, the Earl of Rockford, and the undercover Bow Street Runner who arrested Claire's father, has decided he needs a wife. On a wager he decides he will marry the first woman he meets at a ball. Claire runs into his arms in the garden, but since he cannot marry her because she is a companion, he pursues her cousin Rosabel. But it is Claire he wants to seduce and the more he sees her, the more he desires her. The tension builds as Claire works to discover the secrets to clear her father, while yearning to know her family that does not know her. Claire does not know who the thief is, the family and Simon do not know who Claire is, and Claire does not know who Simon is. All of this, together with seduction and mystery keeps the reader captivated to the very end. A book difficult to put down. A truly enjoyable historical romance suspense!

"Pleasure: The state -- or feeling -- of being pleased, gratified, delighted. A source of enjoyment. Sensual gratification. What's your pleasure? However you define it, pleasure is vital to every woman's life -- to your life -- especially in today's hard-driving, hard-working society. Yet most women have lost sight of their vital need for pleasure, and feel guilty for taking even ten minutes for themselves -- they don't want to seem self-indulgent, or they can't afford the time, or they're too busy taking care of other people instead of themselves. For your own sake -- and ultimately for your loved ones -- it's high time you dropped the guilt and took back your pleasure. In It's My Pleasure, Maria Rodale, the dynamic leader of a powerful lifestyle corporation who successfully revolutionized her own business, and Maya Rodale, her talented writer-daughter, show you how to create a pleasure revolution in your own life -- to stop hiding your pleasure and incorporate it fully into everything you do, no matter what your age, situation, or religious background. In the Rodales' exciting vision of every woman's potential, pleasure is not a simple, momentary experience to be segregated into a few minutes a day. It's endemic to women's bodies, minds, and experiences on Earth. And it's essential for your health and success. Drawing from their years of research into women's history -- including the suppressed ancient Goddess religions -- as well as the latest scientific findings, the Rodales prove that, for women, pleasure is the path to freedom, happiness, and self-fulfillment. To show us the myriad ways to find satisfaction and become the heroines of our own lives, they conduct lively interviews with ""Pleasure Revolutionaries"" including scientist Helen Fisher, historian Riane Eisler, writers Julia Quinn and Ruth Reichl, and gourmet pioneer Alice Waters. They also profile inspiring heroines from history -- adventurous, colorful women from all over the world and all walks of life -- from the fictional Nancy Drew and Dagny Taggart and powerful mythic figures such as Inanna and Mary Magdalene to popular artists Georgia O'Keeffe and Madonna, romance novelists George Sand and Nora Roberts, and activist Victoria Woodhull, who was the first woman to run for president. These Pleasure Revolutionaries also prove that change, self-discovery, and self-improvement don't have to involve suffering. Synthesizing their findings into a practical, affirming philosophy, the Rodales spice it with their own experiences, fun tips, and lists, and fuse it into appealing, realistic guidance for life, love, friendship, and romance. It's My Pleasure celebrates women's voices, insights, and experiences in a format that any woman can use to take action, create positive change, meet the highs and lows of a demanding world, and develop confidence, optimism...and lasting pleasure. How to get past the guilt and find the pleasure.......2005-09-06
Why do women feel guilty for the typical things - romance novels, chocolate - which give them pleasure? Maria Rodale is VP of Rodale Inc, the family publishing business she effectively reorganized and expanded. In It's My Pleasure, she and co-author Maya Rodale tell women just how to get past the guilt and find the pleasure. Their personal stories come from two generations and tell how they overcame guilt impulses to embrace this pleasure in their lives, while references to history connect pleasure with strength.
A sad waste of good trees.......2005-08-08
The writing is sophomoric (complete with parenthetical asides,) at times quite plagiaristic and any thesis is totally non-existent.
It is a collection of pointless self-focused memoirs, out-sourced interviews and slapped together "Do-it!" list, which I assume were to justify the whole "Revolutionary Plan" marketing pitch.
It was so poorly written I want to cry.
I assumed while reading this book that it must have been published by Rodale and was shock to find no nepotism involved. It makes me very sad for the state of the publishing industry.
As far as I can tell, it's a justification for reading romance novels, since this was mentioned at least once in every chapter.
Are you kidding??!!.......2005-06-14
One of the most insipid self-help books ever penned. The author has no insight and her only "revelation" is that she did drugs and fooled around as a teen. Wow! There is literally nothing of value here. Did the buyers who wrote positive reviews actually read this thing??!!
Enjoyed this book!.......2005-06-12
****
This book is all about women and pleasure, and why we feel so guilty when we think about experiencing or actually experience pleasure. It is different from other books because of its authors, Maria and Maya Rodale, of Rodale Press fame. The mother and daughter perspective was especially intriguing to me. Both women share their experiences along their journey to find out who they are as individuals, and as self-defined "pleasure revolutionaries". They interweave the book with fun exercises, stories of famous "pleasure revolutionaries", historical details, and much more.
The book brings in many unconventional ideas, such as reading romance novels, exploring non-traditional religions, traveling alone, and the like. While I would not necessarily follow the paths these two women did in any particular area, I felt like the book gave me permission to venture out and try some things I would not ordinarily try. I have to admit that after all of their positive experiences with romance novels, I am considering even giving them a try, too.
One reviewer said there was not a lot of substance to this book, and I really disagree. It is full of resources for exploring "pleasure" in your own life (including Internet sites, lists, books, etc.), and a great guide. It is entertaining and fun to boot. It's the type of book that would be interesting for girlfriends to read (I'm loaning my copy to my best friend) or even better, for a woman's book club!
One caveat: If you are pretty straight-laced, you might find some things too adventurous here---like some of the erotic Internet sites or discussions of sexual toys, etc.---I did not find anything offensive however---all was in good taste. I'm the type of person who feels comfortable taking what fits and not worrying about the rest...if you're not that way, this might not be the best choice for you...if you are, read and enjoy!!

Freedom of Choice.......2005-05-25
I can't help but write an enthusiastic recommendation for this marvelous book. It is a gateway to the idea that a woman's life should be about freedom of choice and belief rather than a martyrdom of resentful servitude to the expectations of society and oneself. It reminds all of us who are lucky enough to live in this century of what we have to be grateful for and what we often take for granted. Even as the book details some of the darkest practices concerning women and how they have lived now and in the past, it doesn't dwell on the morbid. Rather, this book is an affirmation of life that implores all women to live fully and joyfully. It gives the reader a way to climb out of victimhood and become a woman of principle without giving up that which makes one feminine.
The book is divided into chapters that consist of autobiographical anecdotes, how to "do it" for yourself lists, and brief sections detailing historical and modern women's lives through stories and interviews. It is inspiring to read and shows you how to live this way not through detailed psychological therapy, but through gentle suggestions and concrete examples and pointers. Some of the women mentioned in the book are Nora Roberts, Nancy Drew, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Madonna. This book does not present the ordinary. It regards romance novels as a doorway into the collective consciousness of women and their awareness of what love means and is capable of for our world and everyday lives.
This book is going on my shelf of "books that changed my life," right between Carolyn See's novel "The Handyman," and Diane Ackerman's "A Natural History of the Senses." It is a book that no woman today should be without.

Healthy Syrian and Lebanese Cooking: A Culinary Trip to the Land of Bible History - Syria and Lebanon .......2007-05-14
Helen Corey does extensive research prior to having her books published, and the background information contained in these books is factual and the recipes authentic.
Helen is a knowledgeable, dedicated author.
Great!.......2007-05-12
This is the most authentic Lebanese Recipe cookbook that I have found. It is just like Sitto used to make...I enjoy not only the recipes but the history and storytelling. It brings back the feeling of family for me.
Healthy Syrian and Lebanese Cooking by Helen Corey.......2005-07-20
I LOVE this cookbook! Last night I wanted to make stuffed yellow squash, "koosa mehshee" so I immediately checked Helen's recipe. And then savored a delicious, nutritious, easy-to-prepare meal.
Helen Corey cooks with love, verve and passion in her soul. Love for sharing God's generous bounty, and she does so with the artistic creativity of a poet. Her cooking demo-s are as graceful as a ballet performance, filled with steady explanations and tips, and punctuated with tasty samples for the audience.
I have gifted The Art of Syrian Cookery to numerous friends - including vegetarians - and to family, especially the nieces and nephews. I also use Food from Biblical Lands for church bread, and religious holiday menus and meals.
Healthy Syrian and Lebanese Cooking is an excellent, user-friendly cookbook, chock full of healthy, traditional recipes from Syria and Lebanon. Unquestionably some of the best soul food in the world!
Author! Author! Bravo Helen.Thank you

I love the weird ones!.......2004-12-28
This book is cool, I've been to two of the museums already and I'm adding the others to my TO DO list, but BE WARNED. This book was published in 1997 and a new edition is out. I wish I had noticed that before I put this one on my wishlist and received it. If you're interested in these crazy museums (and you really should be) get the updated version of this book and enjoy!
Great escape reading.......2003-03-25
This book is a very good resource for those of you who are looking to break from the pressures of everyday life. Although it is unlikely that you will have the occasion to visit more than a handful of these museums, I think that it is still a great book for anyone interested in getting away and seeing what America used to be like before the Internet. Its short reviews of each museum (2-3 pages) make for very entertaining reading and give the reader a tour of the museums' highlights. As the previous reviewer mentioned, some of the museums are now defunct, an unfortunate end brought about by our fast-paced society. Still, just reading about these fascinating places should inspire the readers imagination. Try it out and if you don't go seeking odd museums in your town, perhaps you should ask yourself why. Again, as the previous reviewer stated, this can become an addicting hobby!
Offbeat Museums - better than most!.......2000-04-07
...and I mean that both ways. The book is better than most books I have used to guide my travels, and offbeat museums are better than (on beat?) ones! As a frequent traveller, this book has guided me well to many of the locations. The descriptions are lighthearted but still in-depth. Its just plain fun reading. Everyone who sees it laying around has to pick it up and give it a read. My only complaint is the at least one of these museums is closed down now, and a few of the directions are a bit hazy. (I did however find every place I looked for!) But overall, even if you aren't planning on GOING to all these places, as I do, it's still a great read. (Be warned: Silly Museums are addictive)

A must-read for pro and amateur turners.......1997-12-11
Raffan shows his expertise in both turning and writing. This book clearly expresses concepts of design and technique in a manner understandable by every level of woodturner. The chapters on acquiring and preparing wood are excellent. This book should hold a special place in every turner's library and will be worn out from use before a second edition can be printed!

addictive.......2007-10-04
In a word , addictive. I love this book, I keep coming to it looking for info year after year.
Interesting, but Scattershot.......2006-06-27
This book doesn't read so much like a book as it reads like a collection of essays or old magazine articles (which is what it is, actually). It therefore doesn't have a coherent focus. I would much rather have a book that was written as a book, that follows a thread all the way through - like maybe a chapter pn the development of the oscillator, describing how it works, tracing it's development, pointing out the differences between the various makers, etc. Followed by a similar chapter on filter sytems, whatever. This book in no way does that. But, it is an interesting read anyway. Take note - the Second Edition does cover Japanese synths - Korg and Roland, although, again, in a typically scattershot manner.
A wonderful trip down memory lane.......2002-12-08
This is one serious book. A comprehensive technology guide about all those vintage synthesizers we love. CleverJoe is a keyboardist and long time analog freak, and this is truly a good resource for all you genuine analog lovers out there (you know who you are, lurking in the shadows...). Lots of pics, chapters on Moog, ARP, Korg, Yamaha, Buchla, many more. Of course there will inevitably be some grumbling from a few people who don't see their fave synth covered, but the book is not meant to be a complete price or synthesizer reference guide. Instead it is a wonderful trip down memory lane, with extensive background information on the evolution of synthesizers, insights into the business side of the builders, and the history of some of the most amazing synthesizer built.
This is a must have!.......2002-04-07
This book is an outstanding resource for musicians who are more or less purists or who have that fever that leads you to seek out fine vintage instruments like Moogs. A great read and a really cool history of the instrument... plus it gives you the current value of all of the instruments!
Retread.......2002-04-02
I already have most of the chapters in the book via articles published in Keyboard Magazine in the late 80's and 90's, so the majority of the info was redundant and just re-printed from those articles. There are some glaring omissions, such as leaving Roland out of the book except for a few pics!(?) Also, Korg received short shrift as well. I preferred Keyfax Omnibus Edition from Colbeck, although it had it's own errors as well. If you're a novice or didn't have access to those earlier Keyboard articles, this isn't a bad place to start.

Tips for Vintage Style - Cath Kidston.......2006-09-02
This is a cute, little book with some great ideas on using vintage fabrics and other items. Worth buying, particularly is you can get it used. Note: It's a tiny book, so don't be surprised.
Tips For Vintage Style by Cath Kidston.......2006-02-17
Although the pictures and ideas in the book are inspiring, I was disappointed to find out that it was so small. It only measures about 4" X 6", which also makes it kind of hard to look at. I wish I would have read the details of book's description. I would have never paid that much for such a tiny book.

"Kid Kowboys: Juveniles in Western Films (2003) ... Bob Nareau ... Empire Publishing".......2007-09-03
Empire Publishing presents "KID KOWBOYS: JUVENILES IN WESTERN FILMS" (8/22/2003) by Bob Nareau --- You will love this book and now when ever you watch an old film, will look for the actor who portrayed the young children --- Stars like Mary Lee, Bobby Blake, Dick Jones, Lee Aaker, Buzz Barton, Bill Cody Jr, Junior Coghlan, Frankie Darro, Johnny Duncan, Billy and Gary Gray, Tim Holt, Harry and Sammy McKim, Mickey Rooney, Betsy King Ross, Dean Stockwell, and Jane Withers are included in this impressive list --- Rare photos are included and a delightful Sammy McKim cover and back piece grace the book.
Bob Nareau, long-time B Western author and fan, has produced a great volume that celebrates the kids that helped make the westerns great --- With input from Boyd Magers, and the various convention organizers, he has managed to compile an impressive list of child stars who acted in westerns --- Each section includes information on their films, their careers (both during, and after their film years), and their lives where applicable --- Many of the children disappeared after their 'short' careers and went onto become doctors, lawyers, salesman, or just went on their lives and other careers.
It is interesting to note that many of these early stars never went onto notoriety, drunkenness, or a downward spiral life after their early film roles --- The Hollywood community strove to educate them, and prepare them for life after films --- Not many survived the teenage years as stars, but some went onto become adult actors. Bobby Blake, Dick Jones, Mickey Rooney, Noah Beery, Jr, Tim Holt, Gary Gray, Junior Coghlan, and Dean Stockwell all went on and earned respect in 'serious' roles.

Some of the actors went onto interesting occupations. Sandy McKim became a Disney artist, and his art graces the cover of the book --- Dick Jones became a real estate agent --- One became a Methodist minister, and another set world race car records --- Their beginning in the public eye did not deter them, rather, it gave many a young look at what success really involved --- Can't imagine 'Old Yeller' without any kids? Or 'Our Gang' starring adults? What about 'The Wizard of Oz', starring a 30 year old Judy Garland instead of a teen? --- The world of westerns has always been fortunate to have a 'stable' of great kid actors and this publication gives us the insight.
Hats off to Rhonda Lemons and her staff at Empire Publishing, the author Bob Nareau putting down on paper without a doubt the best book commemorating the young actors and their rare talent that helped make the B-Western great --- sharing many facts inclusive within their own individual sections in the book --- we now have answers to the many questions about the B-Western era and the actors who chose to play various junvenile roles --- If you're into the memories of the B-Western, this is the one you've been anxiously waiting for --- order your copy now from Empire Publishing or Amazon where there are plenty of copies available --- if you enjoyed this title, why not check out Empire Publishing where they are experts in releasing books on B-Westerns and Serials --- all my heroes have been cowboys!
