Book Description
Secrets of the Widow’s Son is an unprecedented publishing event: a book about a book that has yet to be published. As the world waits breathlessly for Dan Brown to publish his sequel to The Da Vinci Code, this new book, Secrets of the Widow’s Son, prepares international audiences for what they will experience in Brown’s forthcoming book. Instead of asking what is fact and what is fiction after reading Brown’s next book (as so many readers did with The Da Vinci Code), those who read Secrets of the Widow’s Son will have the unique opportunity to explore these questions in advance.
Secrets of the Widow’s Son will lead the reader along an incredibly fascinating, thought-provoking, and ultimately shocking trail of clues, codes, and long-forgotten history, from George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and the other Freemasons who were America’s Founding Fathers to an American capital city that rivals The Da Vinci Code’s Paris. The world awaits Dan Brown’s The Solomon Key. But it need not await the mysteries, adventures, themes, and characters likely to appear in that book—because now there is Secrets of the Widow’s Son.

Second guessing Dan Brown.......2007-01-18
Excellent read even if Shugart is second guessing Dan Brown. Even if Brown deviates from the ideas expressed in Secrets of the Widow's Son, it can provide a basis for other aspiring writers.
Interesting Masonic history making one interested in knowing more, and wondering just how big a part Masons play in U.S. History.
Skip It.......2006-06-16
This is the worst book I have ever read. Shugarts claims to do excellent research, but according to my own inquiries, he knows very little about Freemasonry. The book is about as exciting as the classified section of a newspaper.
Oh no, outguessing the next super-novel.......2006-05-16
Definitely, I was lured with an arrogate title referring to the "Widow's Son", as I have been steeped into this field for years, and I expected much new enlightening. Not so. This author better stay in aviation consultation, because he fails miserably in the field of history and its mysteries. All he offers are cliches stemming from a basket full of bibliography. His writing style is so boring, you think an advocate of the Old Bailey in London wrote some preamble for grand-theft auto or in his case, grand-theft aeroplane, or grand-theft literature. What has his and his wife's family roots background to do with anything other than aiming at self-aggrandizement? Give me a break! I am of German background too! And I did publish a book called "Red Cage". He still failed the subject at hand, the Widow's Son. This book is not worth ten cents because nothing earth-shaking is being revealed that anyone cannot read in the other books of his bibliograpy, except this author's greed is revealed towards the success-story of Dan Brown, hoping to tap into some big dollars with this mediocre piece of art. I do not condone to this kind of literary failure.
not what i thought it was.......2006-02-25
this bookl is not what i thought it was going to be. it had some good info in it. I give it a good rating for the facts but the way it was compiled was sucky.
Poor excuse for a book.......2006-02-09
Having made some money on his book about Secrets of the Da Vinci Code, author David Shugarts seeks to cash in once again, only this time he has to imagine what Dan Brown is going to write rather than rely on what Brown wrote in the first place. The first few chapters of this book dwell on how clever Shugarts and his associates are. Enough said! Then he goes on to ramble about a variety of topics, strung together in no particular order, which range from the streets of Washington to the Mormons and King Solomons Temple. If you're interested in any of these subjects, they are covered far better in any variety of sources, such as The Hiram Key, Holy Blood, Holy Grail, etc.
The book is not completely worthless. It is well written, and the topics are covered adequately, if not comprehensively. The illustrations supplement the text nicely. The appendix to the book, Symbolic Systems, is a nice overview of various topics that include hieroglyphics, Kabbalah, Pythagorean theories, Almanacs and Zodiacs. If you know nothing at all about these areas, this is a good introduction, but it is very elementary.
Book Description
Hairstylist Marla Shore is chewing her nails over her latest dilemma. She's joined a fitness club to get in shape, but more than her abs tighten when a member is murdered. To complicate matters, Detective Dalton Vail disapproves of the charade she's playing to help a friend. She'd better polish her act, or she'll be the next one who ends up in the dead file.
Customer Reviews:
did not care about the characters or the story.......2007-03-12
I have to agree with the other reviewers who did not care much for this book. I had to force myself to finish it. I did not care about any of the characters, did not like the main character (Marla), she is catty, doesn't like children, but pretends to care about the daughter of her "possible" love interest, the detective. Made me want to tear my hair out. The Yiddish, the "Bless my bones," the weak story... not my cup of tea. Try any of the books in Ann George's "The Southern Sisters" series instead.
Would Have Been 5 Stars If . . . .......2006-09-14
For the most part, the book is good. I enjoyed the beauty shop atmosphere. But cockroach cookies? Not exactly my idea of cozy. It took away my appetite for oatmeal raisin cookies, and I haven't eaten any since I read the book. There are two things that keep me from giving the book 5 stars: the cockroach cookies and Tammy. Otherwise, I would have given the book 5 stars. It would have been a low 5, but a 5 nonetheless. (A low 5 is still higher than a 4.)
The worst mystery I have ever read.......2006-08-10
I have to agree with the other reviewer, it is annoying that the main character calls everybody "pal." She is catty and snotty, not fun. She goes around telling everybody they need to come to her and get a REAL haircut or highlights, and trying to snarf up business for her manicurist. In her head she comments on everybody's hair and makeup. CATTY!
What's more, the title of this novel gives everything away. I knew by page 25 whodunit, which was annoying. The person who wrote that there were no clues about the murderer's identity didn't read carefully enough, it was so obvious.
The Yiddish in the book is cloying and useless. If anybody called me a "shayna madel" I would yell at them to speak English. It's dumb and unnecessarily jarring.
The characters are plastic and act like morons. Everybody acts like they hate everybody else but have nothing better to do than get their hair cut or buy a bagel.
The police lieutenant she is interested in has a daughter, and Marla (the main character) is nasty and patronizing to her, and insists she doesn't want to be the mother of an already-there child. She acts like the child is a piece of dirt on her shirt to be brushed off. The police leiutenant is stand-offish in one chapter, leering in another, and obtuse in another chapter. Multiple personality, much?
Please don't waste your time or money on this book. It is without a doubt the worst book I have ever seen put into print.
Not as good as it looked.......2004-10-05
I picked this book up at the library. The title and cover art intrigued me. I thought it would be a fun, easy read. However, reading it wasn't so easy. For some reason, the author likes to use what I guess are Yiddish phrases all throughout the book. It is distracting and I'm not sure why she does this. Another annoying use of language is the use of the word "pal." The main character, Marla, thinks sarcastically to herself and calls everyone "pal" (in a negative context). The plot itself was okay. Marla's relationship with Dalton seemed a little strange. Another thing is that this is the first (and last) in the series I have read and it mentioned something about someone named Tammy and drowning in a pool. I'm not quite sure the relationship between Tammy and Marla and it drove me nuts because it was referred to on numerous occasions. I like when authors briefly explain the important stuff that came previously in the series. That way you aren't missing anything if you haven't read any of the other books. Nancy J. Cohen does not do this. I am a big fan of mystery books. This one, however, disappointed me. I wouldn't recommend it. If you are looking for a book with a great female slueth pick up the Hannah Swensen series by Joanne Fluke.
Cute Amateur Sleuth Mystery.......2004-06-22
Thirty-five-year-old beauty salon owner, Marla Shore, figures that ridding herself of a few flabby pounds of holiday fat will be easy, after all, beauty is her business. However, the daily walks she takes with her poodle, Spooks, hasn't managed to melt away any excess pounds, so Marla decides to sign up for a free trial membership at Perfect Fit Sports Club. Marla never imagined that trying to beat the bulk would land her smack dab in the middle of a murder. Especially the murder of one of her very own customers, Jolene Myers. Jolene decided to relax in the whirpool with a nice soak, and ended up dorwning, and as of now Marla is the only one, except for Homicide Detective Vail, who suspects foul play. Soon Marla has come upon a second corpse, and knows that she wants to nail the killer before she someone else ends up dead. Especially if that someone is her.
This is my first BAD HAIR DAY MYSTERY, and I was quite pleased with the outcome. I found Marla to be a fun character, whom you find yourself rooting for from page one. Also, as an animal rights activist, I found that I enjoyed the dialogue spewed by Cookie about animals being tested on for beauty products. I think that it will help the public become more aware of what some animals go through involuntarily. Overall I found this book to be quite an entertaining amateur sleuth mystery, and I hope to read more about Marla, Homicide Detective Vail, and Spooks from Nancy J. Cohen in the future.

Decent but Disjointed.......2006-01-02
This book collects six stories ostensibly starring Greyshirt, a kind of old time hero originally created for the Tomorrow Stories anthology. However, the stories are really about two generations of gangsters who run around Indigo City and the mysterious creature who lives in the abandoned emerald mines which riddle the city's underground. However, Greyshirt only appears momentarily in each to dash in and foil the crime, the real focus is on Frankie Lafayette and Johnny Apollo, who we first meet as kids, and then follow as they grow older and more criminally enterprising. It's all kind of campy and old-fashioned stuff, with a dark edge to it. While the writing is fairly clever, with small setups that pay off big several episodes later, it's all a little bit hectic. The stories jump around a bunch in time, most are actually set in the past, and there are mock newspaper spreads at the end of each episode which convey a bunch of useful information in their jokey articles. The book suffers from a lack of focus, as it veers back and forth between the two thug kids, the previous generation of hood, the sci-fi/horror monster, a plotline concerning a movie being made from the two kids' lives, another involving a pop artist, and then later, a pair of suave thieves are introduced. Greyshirt gets totally lost in the shuffle, as does any sense of coherency and maintenance of tone. The book feels like a playground, where the creator and his friends kind of run amok. It's not bad, just not that great, and the cleverest material is actually the little cartoons in the faux newspaper mock-up!
VEITCH AT THE TOP OF HIS GAME--.......2003-04-01
I enjoy Veitch at his storytelling weirdest-- The One, Brat Pack, Maximortal, etc. I don't enjoy the unstructured dream strips (too many flights of fancy with no story framework) and I hated the Cy-Gor miniseries (very few flights of fancy). This comic is gritty, violent, imaginative, and a has a story that involves you. This is nearly as good as Veitch gets-- nearly as good as BRAT PACK, his masterpiece.

Book Description
Do You: Harbor guilt or grudges from past relationships? Feel plagued by thoughts of regret? Think "Oh, no, not again!" when personal problems arise? Wonder why life hasn't turned out the way you wanted? Feel anxious or depressed about your future? Seem to be less happy as time goes by?
If you answered yes to even one of these questions, this book can help you make peace with your past -- here and now.
The past lives on in everything we think, feel, say, and do. Medical studies show that adults who've had adverse or traumatic past experiences are much more vulnerable to life-threatening illnesses such as cancer and heart disease. Now, world-renowned psychiatrist Dr. Harold Bloomfield, bestselling author of Making Peace with Your Parents and Making Peace with Yourself, offers practical, scientifically proven techniques that can help you heal the wounds of the past; transform feelings of pain, shame, and blame into high self-worth; and reawaken to the magic and joy of being alive.

Good to Know.......2005-09-24
(I wasn't aware of the charges against the author until preparing my review. How disappointing.)
I found this book useful in that it offered suggestions on how to heal the past when you are aware that you need to "get over it." Whether you decide to actually "go deep" and follow his six steps is a matter of choice. The book was helpful to me in that it simply named the problems (shame, guilt, remorse, etc.) and more or less pointed out how "normal" (or, "common") these problems are for many people.
As for the TM/Hindu connection- I didn't find it to be too much of a bother, as I skipped over parts of the book I wasn't interested in. I think the $2,500.00 fee to learn TM with a qualified instructor in my area is a bit much for me, so I more or less dismissed the TM completely, but any form of meditation can be very useful in dispelling anxiety and stress. Bloomfield's Six Essential Steps are only ONE man's program- this and similar books are nowhere near the only or final word on self-help.
If you're looking for information, or maybe a way to start addressing your feelings, most of what's in this book is good to know. Putting it to use is up to you.
Know what you're "drinking"..........2002-04-11
I just completed the audio version of this book. It was hard to restrain myself from posting a review because there there is great good and even greater danger in this book! Red flags are waving! You may be drinking poison when you're looking for nutrition!
First the danger, then the good...
DANGER:
The author and his wife are unapologetic new age pantheists. Throughout the book the "virtues" of Transcendental Meditation (TM) and buying herbal remedies from a Hindu based organization are touted. Sadly, the "science" behind these practices and their application to "Making Peace With Your Past" are glossed over. Is there a connection? A clear explicit correlation is never REALLY made (it's implied) AND, frankly, I felt that this was one of the major flaws with this work.
Next danger, the author encourages you to "question" any resistance that you may have to the suggested therapies in this book. While is true that resistance to change can be an obstacle in therapy does this mean that discernment and moral judgment should be jettisoned as well? Apparently the author's answer is, "Yes". The author and his co-author wife trapple all over time honored and proven Western European values and sensibilities. Visualization - a controversial practice in some religious, medical, and cultural contexts is used and discussed as if there is no controversy at all and there is universal consensus on it's effectiveness and use.
Frankly, I DID feel uncomfortable at many points during this book. However, I can assure the reader that it had NOTHING to do with resistance to change and EVERYTHING to do with the fact that my value system and moral code was being directly challenged by the pan theistic (or more accurately "pan-everythingistic") approach of these authors.
Because I knew that this "if you feel uncomfortable..." tactic is used by cult leaders and unethical therapists to cause their followers to "snap" and allow an unreasonable level of control over their followers, I kept my value/moral boundaries in place while I waded through the author's thin veiled belief systems (Hinduism and New Age practices) and world view (Existential, Post Modern Relativism).
I feel that authors would be advised in future works to state up front: "We are practicing Hindus, New Agers, and moral relativists" THAT would at least be honest!
If you are a practicing Christian, Moslem, or conservative Jew, you will find MUCH to hate in this book!
THE GOOD:
Despite this work's obvious flaws there is *some* value here. Ironically, the author is at his best when he sticks to go old Western European style psycho-therapy. He is obviously well educated, experienced, and very intelligent. His explanations of the inner mechanics of unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness, painful memories are excellant and liberating.
Even the visualizations would have great value IF a greater emphasis on keep the patient in their cognitize mind via maintaining a very LIGHT, constant Alpha state rather than the deep Alpha state that the co-author employs. However since the authors are TM practitioners it should surprise no one that they advocate a very deep alpha state mode that makes the patient vulnerable to unwanted suggestion. Again, keep that "moral judgment" and "value system" switch set to "off"!
However, her word pictures are indeed very powerful and I have used them - while maintaining a cognitive mode alpha state - since finishing the book.
In the end, I can not recommend this book. The underlying world view and dishonesty of the authors is just too pronounced! I would encourage to explore the OTHER authors on this web-site. Personally, I don't think that you can go too wrong with the work of either Norm Wright or John Bradshaw (although Bradshaw's moral relativism does tend to "leak" at times). I especially Bradshaw's "Healing the Shame that Binds You" and his books on family.
Finally, I would add that the clipping from the San Diego Union regarding this author is not surprising to me having read his book. The TM/Hindu guru that he mentions in the book as his spiritual leader and guide has accused (and I believe indicted) of similar moral lapses. In the words of Adam Smith...
Emptor Caveat!
Or, in the words of Jesus Christ concerning false prophets: "By their fruit you will know them".

Psychiatrist pleads guilty, may avoid jail
By Onell R. Soto
UNION-TRIBUNE STAFF WRITER
January 24, 2002
VISTA - A Del Mar psychiatrist and best-selling author admitted yesterday he illegally drugged women in his home and office, but he probably will not be sent to jail as punishment, lawyers said.
Harold Bloomfield, 57, pleaded guilty to two felony counts of illegally furnishing drugs yesterday, defense attorney Bob Grimes said.
"This is the first time he's been to court since his release on bail," Grimes said in an interview. "He wanted to admit what he did and help with the healing process with the victims. He didn't want the victims to go to court and be cross-examined."
Prosecutor Richard Madruga said the two women whose drinks Bloomfield admitted drugging said they don't oppose a sentence without jail time.
"They want to see that the community is protected, that he not practice medicine, that he not be able to prescribe medications and that he get help for drug dependency, and counseling," Madruga said.
Such conditions are likely when Superior Court Judge Frederick Maguire sentences Bloomfield at a hearing scheduled for March 22, Madruga said.
As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors dropped three drug-related felony charges and a misdemeanor charge of sexual battery.
In court papers, detectives said a glass of lemonade Bloomfield gave a woman in July contained Ecstasy and methamphetamine.
The woman said Bloomfield met her in his Del Mar home for a therapy session wearing only a pair of blue boxer shorts printed with martini glasses, according to court records.
She felt strange after drinking the lemonade, and Bloomfield offered to examine her breasts after she complained of pain from recent surgery, according to the documents.
When asked about that, Bloomfield blamed his daughter for the drugs in the drink, detectives said. The daughter denied any involvement.
Then, in December, a woman who visited Bloomfield's home said he undressed her and fondled her after giving her a funny-tasting green smoothie.
At the time of Bloomfield's arrest Dec. 19, prosecutors said they were investigating reports from other women who said he drugged and then sexually assaulted them.
Madruga said yesterday that additional charges are not supported by evidence in the case.
Bloomfield was released the week following his arrest after posting $500,000 bail.
He and his wife, with whom he wrote several books, are divorcing.
He was once a frequent guest on television talk shows, including "The Oprah Winfrey Show," on which he last appeared in 1993.
Defense attorney Grimes said Bloomfield descended into drug use during a bout of depression about four years ago. It worsened after he emerged from plastic surgery with chronic pain, for which he took larger and larger quantities of painkillers.
"Ultimately he started on his own, medicating himself by smoking marijuana and ultimately using Ecstasy," Grimes said.
As a condition of his release from jail, Bloomfield agreed not to practice medicine.
Feel The Transformation.......2000-09-25
What an awesome book! I have read all of Dr. Bloomfield's books, however, I felt change taking place deep within 'as I read' this one. The third chapter on 'Breaking the Shackles of Shame' is worth buying and reading the whole book. It gave me a direct plan to dealing with the deep seated issues of shame in my psyche. It also uncovered things in me that I have repressed for many years. It taught me the language of knowing what was really going on inside of me. Helped me to specifically identify hurts and obstacles that were holding me back from living the quintessential life. Read this book if you want to experience healing for your past. Dr. Bloomfield not only identifies your past issues, he gives you remedies for dealing with them successfully.
HELPFUL! COMFORTING! I LOVE THIS BOOK!.......2000-08-28
MAKING PEACE WITH YOUR PAST is the best book I've yet read of the "self-help" variety. Reading the book has helped me move into a calmer, more open and happy place in my life, and I continue to reread it whenever ancient, and not-so ancient history, in the form of regret, grief or hurt, visits me. The exercises in the book make sense and WORK. The writing style is welcoming, nonjudgemental, and understanding. Whatever negative experiences you've gone through in your life, from childhood through the recent past or present, there is help for you here. Bloomfield and co-author Philip Goldberg have given a great gift to anyone seeking the calm and happiness which may have been, until now, elusive. I never write reviews on Amazon, but I am too impressed by the results of this book to keep quiet. Simply put: the book works.

Beyond the commonplace.......2001-03-30
This is a highly personal volume, based largely on the author's own collection and interests. But this takes it well beyond the typical collector's book. Sigafoose manages to revive the vanished America of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, putting American art pottery in its social and cultural context. Especially fascinating are the many postcards, factory views, advertisements, and catalogue pages that show how the makers of art pottery presented themselves to the world. "Large gaudy vases and highly colored pictures look cheap and commonplace," advises one such ad. "One small [art pottery] vase, costing perhaps a dollar, will do more to give that touch of elegance and refinement to the the home than any other one thing."

Great book for those who love Art Pottery.......1999-11-01
I know Dick Sigafoose personally, and he knows his Art Pottery. This book is well written and beautifully illustrated, and covers all of the major art pottery studios - from vases to tiles. Every page is filled with good, clear color photos, plus detailed information on the studios that produced these works of art. I highly recommend this book to art pottery collectors - both advanced and beginners.

This is a lovely book. Beautiful pictures. The collection concentrates on Art Tiles rather than Art Pottery. Great articles on the companies histories. If you collect Art Pottery Tiles this book is for you!

Customer Reviews:
IF you like Pottery Barn, you will like this book.......2006-04-03
This book uses many of the retail stores' and catalog's current and (unfortunately) discontinued products. If you have often looked through the catalog or the store and thought you wanted your office to look like it does in the book, there are inspiring ideas here. For example, the designers show us new uses for old items (candy jars used to store binder clips, for example).
The downside of the book(s) is(are) that some of the items featured are older Pottery Barn items that are now discontinued. Perhaps you can find some on eBay, but some are several years old and probably can't be found. However, it still gives the reader new ideas.
The reviewer who said that it is all "junky looking old things" may not appreciate Pottery Barn's sense of whimsy and incorporating new with old. This book does plenty of that.
The one gripe I have with the book (any decorating book) is that it appears that computers, monitors, and phones do not have wires. It's very easy to arrange these staged offices and never have to plug in the cables and power cords. This book therefore makes it look a little easier than it really is.
The cover is the best photo!.......2006-03-22
The cover is certainly misleading. The photo on the cover makes the book seem like it will show graceful, traditional, colorful, fun rooms. Do not be mislead. The rooms in this book look drab, dusty, and musty. Yuck! It really is a book full of junky looking old things. I am not talking about antiques here, just flea market junk. Certainly nothing modern or colorful or even traditional. A real disappointment. Frankly, the free catalogues have better ideas than this.
Book Description
It's all too often that designers leave a meeting with clients feeling as if they've been speaking an entirely different language. Graphically Speaking solves such communication problems by breaking down client-designer dialogue into something both parties can understand. It visually "defines" more than 30 of the most common words that clients use to describe what they want in a design. Vague, possibly confusing terms--words like "elegant" or "powerful" or "warm"--are made specific as they relate to actual design style.
Entries provide visual reference materials including color combinations, fonts and final designs, so that terms are defined both literally and visually. Because of the structure of the book, it's really three "must-have" books in one--a client communication guide, a designer reference and an inspiring collection of top design projects.

Great reference book and great communication with client tool.......2007-08-02
Looking for a book to help you and your clients communicate and understand each other? This is it! You know when they say "innovative" and you are thinking one thing and they are thinking another thing? This is the book to take with you to your meetings, for sure! I am excited to do that with my next client! I can pull out the book, show them pictures, fonts, and groups of color, and say, "Is this what you mean by 'fast-looking' or is this?" Then my client can thumb through the book or look up adjectives in the back section and show me exactly what he or she means.
Two days in my home and it's already filled with post-it flags.......2006-09-04
The simple, precise organization of this book helped me to see the ruts I tend to fall into and how to branch out. I doubt I'll haul it around to meetings, but it's a wonderful reference.
If I could share it.......2005-10-12
While the intent of this book is wonderful and in great ways succeeds in showing a great variety of design examples, I found the presentation to be less useful. Sure it gives super examples of designs that almost anyone would recognize, but it is difficult to share a book when the spine does not lay flat without cracking the binding and the print and page is so small that even right side up it is difficult to read and to one side or upside down it is impossible.
I'll use it more for a reference book than a hands-on tool.
This book showed me how.............2005-04-17
You know what feeling you want your audience to be left with, but how?
This book is the answer.
Colors, type faces, questions, word index, and style, all provided with examples.
Thank your dear Author and designer!
This book showed me how......
What can I say??.......2004-03-06
This book is full of beautiful examples, all in full color. Like it says it is a VISUAL Lexicon. Visual being the key word. It is not full of fluff like a lot of books. Graphic Designers are visual people. This is a wonderful book and I will be sure to buy anything that was written by Lisa in the future. Love it!

Tirelessly entertaining quotes from the hard rock tip..........2000-07-05
Any pompous faux intellectual can put together books of truely profound quotes from history's greatest figures and most insightful minds...the one missing factor which the reader never realizes is that we ALL live similar experiences. Since anyone can make a rather heart rending statement, but only the famous are taken seriously, it is a refreshment to see poignant as well as meandering confusion in the quotes of the luxurious yet dubious of America's famous. Gun's and Roses was rock's premier talent from 1988 to 1994. Although just a raggedy batch of Hollywood scoundrels who combined precariously to booming success, they inspired a generation and became the envy of their contemporaries. Today they are still mentioned admiringly as well as spitefully proving their power is still existant, and their unforgettable music is played rather abundantly for being a decade old.
One of the world's greatest triumphs is related through the words of it's five players. The statements ranging from filthy to brilliant display Gun's and Roses rather nakedly to any outsiders wanting to taste the bitter sting of success in music. A friend gave this to me as a present one year, and the joy these unabashed quotes bring never leaves me. This is a great book for anyone...
Best Book ever!!!!!!.......1999-06-30
This is the best book I have ever read!! It tells very much of their lifes, and thats what I like!
Nice little book. But don't take it to serious........1997-08-31
Each chapter in the book contains qoutes from the band on the subject of the chapter. There's subject's such as Early Daze, The Music, Axl, Slash, Izzy, Drummers etc. The book miss a chapter about Duff.
The book's filled with pictures of the bandmembers.
If you read this book it's important to remember that the quotes is taken from interviews etc. and therefore they can originally have meant something else. The fact is that the author of this book got very unpopular w. the GN'R members after he wrote it.
All in all it's a nice little book you can read for fun and to get a different view on the band but don't take the qoutes to serious. Remember it's not the band who put it together.
