Childhood Friends Reunite to Rendezvous!
All giggles and wiggles, Lisa and Amy sealed their friendship under the pink ruffles of a canopy bed, promising to be friends forever. They remained inseparable until an argument over Lisa’s prom date divides them. In a plan that could only be devised by their heavenly Father, Amy and Lisa end up in the same hospital emergency room years later. With their promise to always be there for each other unexpectedly fulfilled, the two friends grow close again. Amy reminds Lisa of one of their childhood promises yet to be realized—their plan to rendezvous in Paris . Amy and Lisa find a way to make good on their Parisian promise from thirty years ago and pack their bags for the adventure of a lifetime. From becoming unexpected counselors for a rocky marriage to scaling the Eiffel Tower to winking at Mona Lisa in the Louvre, these two Sisterchicks find the treasures of Europe can’t compare with the gems of a friendship renewed for eternity!
C’est magnifique!
SISTERCHICK n.: a friend who shares the deepest wonders of your heart, loves you like a sister, and provides a reality check when you’re being a brat.
When they were little girls, Amy made Lisa promise her that someday they’d go to Paris and walk down the Champs-Elysées together looking tres chic. After all, Amy’s classy grandmother was from Paris. Then over the years, they drifted apart. But some promises seem to be held for safekeeping in the courts of heaven until the time is right, and these reconnected friends-for-life are handed the opportunity to see Paris together! Lisa’s only response to her patient friend is, “Oui oui, mon ami!”
The City of Lights turns out to be all Amy ever promised, with world-class shopping, flaky croissants, the Eiffel Tower, Monet’s Water Lilies, and food running the gamut from frog legs to fabulous chocolate. Of course, there are also con men, indignant waiters, and spring cloudbursts. But nothing deters these Sisterchicks as they set out to climb a few personal “ Eiffel Towers” in this next season of life. The only way to go is step by step together under the careful protection of their Heavenly Papa, who showers them with grace upon grace.

Ooh La La! (Sisterchicks).......2007-01-15
The book was just the up-lift I needed. Great humor!
Refreshing and light but thought-provoking reading..........2006-11-18
An encouraging "read" that pushed me to remember that we can always grow in the weak areas of our lives. I love Robin Jones Gunn's books and this book is a great success as she continues to highlight the blessing of having and being a good friend.
The funnest Sisterchicks yet!.......2006-11-03
Lisa Marie Kroeker of Memphis, the only girl out of a family of five children, honored her mother's ban on Barbie dolls and survived a father whose business sign sported his head atop the body of a frog. Amelie Jeanette DuPree, a refined and delicate creature called Amy, moved to Memphis with her mother and Grandmere when both girls were eight. These two young people of conflicting and diverse backgrounds formed an immediate bond of friendship
Lisa immersed herself in Amy's family and their refined family heritage. She loved the unhealthy snacks, bedrooms with flowers and frills, Mrs. DuPree's sophistication and Grandmere's floral French perfumes. Amy enjoyed the Kroeker's rowdy household even though Barbie dolls were disdained and sweets were nonexistent. This loving friendship lasted until their senior year of high school leaving Lisa to guess why Amy had pulled away.
As young women, the two are reunited at a hospital in Cincinnati. Their renewed relationship digs itself into a deeper more solid bond. When Amy's Grandmere dies, they find her white silk purse that holds enough money for both Lisa and Amy to visit Paris. The older lady's note asked them to meet and thank a special family in Paris who owned a world-famous, refined linens shop. This adopted family taught her to create exclusive, elegant needlework, which provided an excellent lifestyle for her family.
Touring Paris forces both girls to face personal fears from the time they arrive at the hotel in a stolen taxi and are entangled with the police department until their last fears are faced at the Eiffel Tower. Both women are Christians and their Paris experience helps strengthen their walk with the Lord. The famous Eiffel Tower parallels a step-by-step walk with God which helps overcome childhood fears.
Read Sisterchicks Say Ooh La La! as a travel guide to Paris: museums, churches, the Eiffel Tower, and a plethora of high and low-end shopping. The poignant and sentimental visit with Grandmere's Paris family is a beautiful story.

Another fabulous entry in the Sisterchick series.......2006-09-05
Sisterchicks Say Ooh La La! By Robin Jones Gunn is another entry in the fabulous Sisterchicks series. I've really loved every book in this series, but this one really plucked at my heartstrings. Maybe it was that Lisa is a little sarcastic and cynical like me. Lisa and Amy promised each other in grade school that when they grew up, they would go to Paris together. When Amy's grandmother passes away, they take the time for the trip and find that the road to the City of Lights is filled with bumps. There are a couple of laugh out loud moments in the book, but the strongest parts are about God and His love. Both Lisa and Amy need to face their fears to fully enjoy not only their trip but their lives as well.
Wow - Wonderful Book.......2006-02-23
I can only say that Robin Jones Gunn has again spoken to my soul in this book. For everyone who has ever tried to be perfect so that God wouldn't be disappointed in you, it's a must read. The descriptions of sights and experiences in Paris are terrific. We see how God uses even the misguided, prejudiced, and legalistic tactics of one sisterchick's mother as a part of eventually lovingly drawing someone to Himself and how He orchestrates events to reconnect a lost friendship. I love everything about this book and the entire Sisterchicks series. The only drawback to these books is that since their effect is to make me crave visiting all the places Sisterchicks go, it could get to be a very expensive proposition. Can't wait for Sisterchicks in Gondolas. I've already pre-ordered it.

Sara Donati's novel Dawn on a Distant Shore picks up soon after the conclusion of her prior book, Into the Wilderness. In the winter of 1794, on the edge of the New York wilderness, Elizabeth and Nathaniel Bonner have settled into the comforts of domestic bliss. Typically, however, adventure seeks these two out. Alone but for her stepdaughter Hannah, Elizabeth gives birth to twins, while Nathaniel and his father Hawkeye are imprisoned in Montreal. Determined to help her men, Elizabeth packs up the children and sets off to free them. Liberty does not bring relief to the Bonner clan, however, as sinister forces conspire to pirate them to Scotland and embroil them in a complex family feud.
History and adventure are slathered on thickly throughout this epic tale. Donati's talent for dialect and detail bring the large cast of characters to life, though the steady pace of dramatic catastrophe is somewhat exhausting. Will our heroes never get a break? Fans of Donati's earlier work will enjoy seeing the familiar characters, but new readers would benefit by reading the books in the series in order. --Nancy R.E. O'Brien
Book Description
In an icy, untamed world of pristine beauty, a husband and wife are torn apart by fate but reunited forever by a love that can't be broken....
An unforgettable love comes alive in this masterful epic of passion, treachery, and adventure....
Award-winning author Sara Donati's debut novel,
Into the Wilderness, was hailed as "one of those rare stories that let you breathe the air of another time" (Diana Gabaldon). Now, in an eloquent blend of fact and fiction, Donati re-creates her beloved characters from
Into the Wilderness in an enthralling new tale of romance and adventure.
Elizabeth and Nathaniel Bonner have settled into their life together at the edge of the New-York wilderness in the winter of 1794. But soon after Elizabeth gives birth to healthy twins, Nathaniel learns that his father has been arrested in British Canada. Forced to leave Hidden Wolf Mountain to help his father in Montreal, Nathaniel himself is imprisoned and in danger of being hanged as a spy.
In a desperate bid to save her husband, Elizabeth bundles her infants and sets out through the snowy wilderness and across treacherous waterways on the dangerous trek to Canada. But she soon discovers that freeing her husband will take every ounce of her courage and inventiveness — and will threaten her with the loss of what she loves most: her children.
Torn apart, the Bonners must embark on yet another perilous voyage, this time all the way across the ocean to the heart of Scotland, where a destiny they could never have imagined awaits them....

Much Better than the first.......2007-05-02
This follow up to Into the Wilderness was very enjoyable. I was not too thrilled with the first book, but thought I would read the next book anyway. I was pleasantly suprised and got a better feel for the characters. I will buy the next one with interest!
Dawn on a Distant Shore.......2006-06-30
Enjoyed this second in the Donati series. Like the way history and narrative make an easy read.
A Cut Above the Ordinary.......2004-06-01
Sequels often are big let-downs, but fortunately that is not the case with "Dawn on a Distant Shore," the second book in a projected five part series that started with "Into the Wilderness."
Elizabeth and Nathaniel Bonner are still the focus of the story, which moves along at a fairly brisk clip, although it does falter toward the end when the action moves from Canada to Scotland. Elizabeth still exhibits the same moral and physical courage as she did in the first book of the series. When her husband Nathaniel follows his father Daniel to Montreal, the younger man is also arrested and is likely to be hanged as a spy. Elizabeth, having given birth to twins, takes her babies to Canada in the dead of winter to try to save him. As in the previous book, no one is ever quite who or what they seem, and the Bonners encounter many shady characters in trying to determine Daniel Bonner's heritage....the secret of which lies in Scotland.
Sara Donati is a gifted storyteller. She has a good ear for natural sounding dialogue, her plotting is refreshingly original, and her characters are appealing -- even the "bad guys" have shades of gray in their character. My main criticism of this book had to do with the slowing of the action once the story moved to Scotland, and the fact that Nathaniel's daughter (Hannah or Squirrel) from his first marriage has started to take center stage. For some reason authors seem to feel compelled to make children in historical novels into little adults, and Hannah is no exception to that "rule." Her emotions are simply too adult-like to be appealing to this reader. However, I still highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for something a little different in an historical family saga. The fourth book in the series will be out in hardcover this fall.
ENTERTAINING HISTORICAL ADVENTURE EPIC..........2003-11-04
This is the second in a series of three published books by this author. Following on the heels of the author's enormously popular debut novel, "Into the Wilderness", this novel attempts to pick up where the other one left off. While eminently entertaining, it does not reach the heights of the author's beautifully written, debut novel.
In this sequel, Elizabeth and Nathaniel Bonner have their idyllic married life in late eighteenth century Upstate New York shattered shortly after Elizabeth gives birth to a set of fraternal twins. Nathaniel, upon learning that his father, Hawkeye, an intrepid backwoodsman with strong ties to the Mohawk nation, has been arrested in Canada, departs to the rescue. When he sets foot over the border, he, too, find himself arrested as a spy and imprisoned in Montreal with his father, victim of a sinister plot.
Elizabeth, never one to sit by idly, packs up the twins, and she, too, goes to the rescue. The Bonner men, however, are released through the intervention of others before Elizabeth and her entourage arrive. The hand of fate deals them yet another blow, however, when they all are spirited away by ship to Scotland, where the Catholic Earl of Carryck awaits their arrival. It seems that the Earl has determined that Hawkeye is his long lost first cousin and, consequently, his heir. The Earl means for Hawkeye or Nathaniel to inherit the Earldom, in order to thwart his Protestant adversaries. Unfortunately for the Earl, the entire Bonner family proves to be uncooperative, leading to many adventures, both on land and on the high seas.
Part of the charm of the author's debut novel lay in its telling of life in Upstate New York in the late eighteenth century, with all of its historical underpinnings. That is entirely is lost here, as this novel takes a decidedly international turn. Some of the adventures are a little too far-fetched, making the novel seem a bit incongruous at times, though still eminently readable on its own terms. Those who enjoyed the author's debut novel will, undoubtedly, enjoy this sequel, though with an underlying layer of disappointment that the debut novel proved to be just too hard an act to follow. Still, notwithstanding this, I am looking forward to reading the third novel in this series, "Lake in the Clouds", as will all fans of this author.
Dawn on a Distant Shore.......2003-06-28
This story took me across the pond and into a world of adventure. The love that Nathaniel and Elizabeth have and the family devotion is magic. Thank you Sara for allowing me to live this story.

Book Description
This spiritual classic began as a simple request from one friend to another. Fred Bratman, a secular journalist and writer, asked friend and renowned author Henri Nouwen to write a book explaining the spiritual life in terms that he and his friends could understand, avoiding theology and technical language.
Customer Reviews:
Life of the Beloved.......2007-10-09
Insightful and uplifting. Conveys a concept of God's love in a way that can be understood by individuals who are not well read in Christian theology.
Dated but still superb spiritual writing.......2007-10-07
I first read this book more than 10 years ago. I loved it then. It really touched me. I recently led a book group discussing this book. Some in the group found it to really touch them deeply giving them the balm they needed; others felt that it was a bit dated. They felt that this was written for a different time.
The book's initial purpose, a apology for faith, never really was met, but for the Christian seeking a deeper insight into faith this book is great.
A Great Read for those who want to go deeper .......2007-06-27
This is a well written book on our relationship with each other and the beloved. I highly recommend it for those who are ready to be intimate with God
Life of the Beloved.......2007-05-25
Our Bible Study is using this book as their current study. Nouwen speaks to the heart.
An Uplifting Read.......2007-05-22
In "Life of the Beloved: Spiritual Living in a Secular World" Nouwen attempts to answer the request of a secular friend : "Say something about the Spirit that my secular friends and I can hear." Through many long conversations about the book, the relationship between Nouwen and his friend deepens considerably. But, in the end Nouwen realized that he had failed to succesfully meet the need of his friend.
I read the book, on the recommendation of a counselor at a time of my own searching for deeper understanding of my own spiritual journey as a Christian. What I found most uplifting and assuring was Nowen's central thesis: each of us is the beloved of God.
My heart responded with "Yes" when I read Nouwens words to his friend: "All I want to say to you is, 'You are the Beloved,' and all I hope is that you can hear these words as spoken to you with all the tenderness and force that love can hold. My only desire is to make these words reverberate in every corner of your being-'You are the Beloved.'"
I believe that each of us is on a journey with God, however we name that being. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is wondering about his or her relationship with God.

Good but could be better.......2007-02-06
The recipes in this cookbook look delicious if somewhat complicated. I haven't had the book long enough to try them. However, one very important piece of information is missing from these recipes; serving size. I'm sure that there are programs which show this. In fact, I'm so disappointed that I would be willing to pay for a list of portions so that I might add this information to my favorite recipes.

Book Description
All woodworkers have a pile of wood scraps lying about, but aren't sure how to put it to use. Kerry Pierce helps them work with this perfectly good material in fun and creative ways.
In 18 projects, Pierce shows woodworkers how to turn their leftovers into great gifts using carving, turning and hand-tooling techniques. Step-by-step photos and instructions are included with each project. Woodworkers will start turning their "trash" into carved kitchen utensils, small boxes, letter openers, jewelry, mixed-wood cutting boards, small sculptures and more!
Customer Reviews:
Got scrapwood??.......2004-12-07
I'm just like every other woodworker out there. I generate a lot of cutoff's from my box making, that are generally too small to make another box out of, but too nice to just throw in the wood stove. Doesn't take long and the "scrap" starts taking over the shop. When I first got this book, a year ago, I hoped it would help me use up some of that pile. It did. This book is has 18 ideas and designs, that Mr Pierce goes into great detail about. Design/layout, cutting/fitting, etc. I actually think there are more pictures and drawings than there is text. His tips on tool use and finishing are excellent. After making several of the projects in this book, I began to generate idea's of my own, so many in fact, I had to start writing them down. I think this was intentional on his part. The book gets ya goin and then your imagination kicks in. An excellent book, highly recommend to every "scrap maker" out there.

A picture book this is not. Jan Weimer has created a rigorous tool and reference for anyone embarking upon a kitchen remodel--a tool to provoke inspiration, provide information, and produce invention. She tells the reader, "I believe hassles are avoidable if you do your homework, stay on top of the job and sever relationships as soon as you see they're not working." In the spirit of her very own words, Weimer then proceeds to convey the knowledge and foresight necessary to carry out such successful remodeling prerequisites, including everything from finding a designer to comparing cabinets, from lighting issues to dishwashers, and from icemakers to a sample contractor's contract. Again, it is not a glossy collection of other success stories, but rather a vehicle for creating your own.
Book Description
Whether you're planning a full-scale remodel or simply upgrading and replacing cabinets or appliances, making decisions on how to renovate your kitchen can become a nightmare. And, once you begin, the problems seem to multiply daily: The workmen show up three months late, the doors on the cabinets hang at an unintentional tilt, and though you love that stone countertop, you find yourself working in the shadows because no one really thought about proper lighting. Help is on the way.
Kitchen Redos will enable you to design kitchen layouts that let you move with ease, islands that do double duty as work and eating centers, cabinetry that looks beautiful and provides maximum, innovative storage, surfaces that shine with easy care and last a lifetime, and much, much more. Practical, inspiring, and hardworking, Kitchen Redos anticipates and instructs you on all the real-life issues that arise when designing and developing your dream kitchen.
Customer Reviews:
It's just average.......2006-07-08
If you're looking for the "best ever" kitchen book, look on. This one is just average. It's outdated and, unless you're a complete beginner in the remodeling game, won't tell you much you haven't already learned or thought of on your own. (Just for example: the author is clueless about butcher-block countertops, saying that they must be scrubbed with a wire brush every week. ??? I've had butcher block countertops, and neither I nor anyone I've ever known has been silly enough to use them as unfinished cutting boards. And do we really need to be told that countertops should be level and cleanable? Oh, darn, I was thinking about a wavy sod surface--I guess that's out.) "This Old House Kitchens," although far from new, is far more helpful. I was disappointed after the rave reviews here. I probably paid around $15 incl. shipping and it wasn't worth that much.
Kitchen Redos, Revamps, Remodels, and Replacements.......2005-01-13
I've never written any book review before, but feel compelled to let others know how great this book is. I've looked through over thirty (30) books on kitchen projects-at libraries/in bookstores/from an architect- and found none I wished to own but this one. It's almost too thorough, as many of us just wish to read conclusions and then go on to the next project. This book covers ALL aspects of a kitchen project, including detailed reference/contact material at the end of the book. So don't waste your time reading anything else-- it's the only book on the topic I've actually purchased and I don't regret it for a minute.
Buy FIRST before any other kitchen books & specialty issues!.......2003-04-01
I recently completed a major addition to get the professional kitchen of my dreams. For almost a year prior to demolition, I studied just about every other "kitchen book" known to mankind, and saved hundreds of idea-pages from magazines, etc. Then I found Jan Weimer's book, and I so wish I had know about it so much earlier. This book is a must-read for anyone embarking on any type of kitchen renovations. Jan's writing is witty, relating the saga of all the foibles and pitfalls she encountered during her own renovations. But, more importantly, she provides a wealth of information on just about any possible aspect of kitchen overhauls, and far more informative than all the other publications I purchased combined. In retrospect, I would have saved lots of time and money if I had read this book first before starting this project.

A must-have for anyone even contemplating kitchen work.......2002-05-26
Not a cookbook, but a really valuable guide for anyone who wants to build or remodel, Jan Weimer's "Kitchen Redos, Revamps, Remodels & Replacements" is a superior sourcebook. Not for nothing is this volume subtitled "Without Murder, Suicide, or Divorce." The problems inherent in letting strangers run rampant through your domain, charging fees left and right, have been known to harden even the most optimistic of homeowners.
Weimer does an admirable job of making the reader examine thoroughly his or her kitchen needs--and then divide them into "needs" and "wants." She can take a glimmer of an idea and give you the hard facts on how it would work on a day-to-day basis. She covers such neglected topics as contractual obligations of the contractors, kitchen lighting, countertop choices, and depth of storage cabinetry.
There is such an abundance of information herein that it would takeý-well, it would take a book to tell you all about it. And here is that book, highly recommended by yours truly, who has been through the kitchen design/house-building experience.
Book Description
Bringing Graphic Design In-House is geared toward untrained and marginally trained "designers" working within a company that has decided do their design in-house rather than hire and outside firm, and small business owners that have to design their own collateral.
With the market being in such a tough place right now, more and more design is being pulled in-house to save money. The result is that untrained designers are having to create collateral that can stand up to the competition (who may be using professional designers) and this can be a daunting task. Designing is difficult in a perfect world and even more difficult when one is dealing with a lack of a basic graphic design education.
The goal of this book is two fold. The authors not only address how to design it yourself, they also discuss instances where it is best to hire professional outside designers for specific portions of the work. Being able to evaluate your tools, your limitations, and the tasks at hand is vital to being able for success.

This book is excellent, it covers everything from basic graphic design guidelines (color, grid, type, paper etc) to production information. At the back of the book are tons of template designs for letterheads, brochures, logos, etc. that are really cool and fresh, and which you can copy. The authors make it simple and really easy to follow.
Book Description
Cursum Perficio is the name of Marilyn MonroeÂ's last home. Cursum Perficio, the book, is author Gary Vitacco-RoblesÂ' exploration of MarilynÂ's last home as a touchstone to her brief and extraordinary life.
A definitive testament of Marilyn MonroeÂ's modest nature, simple tastes and spirituality was her selection of a house in which to settle at age 35. The Spanish Colonial hacienda symbolizes MarilynÂ's unfulfilled dreams and unfinished life. The Latin inscription on the tiles adorning the front doorstep, Cursum Perficio (translating to ÂMy journey endsÂ), prophesied the screen goddessÂ' death in the home in 1962.
Cursum Perficio invites us inside MarilynÂ's private life through 120 illustrations and previously unpublished photos of her hacienda and its contents. See the interior, MarilynÂ's art and decorations purchased on a shopping spree in Mexico, and the furniture delivered days before her death. Vitacco-Robles reveals the events during MarilynÂ's last months, her daily routine, and her random acts of kindness.
Cursum Perficio is not a sensational exploitation of Marilyn Monroe but a celebration of the human being behind the legend. It is a rare and refreshing exploration for the most devout fan and an insightful introduction for those just discovering this enduring icon of the Twentieth Century. This expanded second edition contains added chapters and new images by Brandon Heidrick.

Something's Got To Give.......2004-11-27
More than 600 books have been written about Marilyn Monroe since her death in 1962. While most of them have focused on the theories surrounding her apparent suicide at age 36, author Gary Vitacco-Robles focuses his new book on the actress' last home. Cursum Perficio: Marilyn Monroe's Brentwood Hacienda/The Story of Her Final Months reframes and redefines Marilyn through the context of her efforts to establish a secure home following a childhood spent in a succession of foster homes. The author theorizes that the actress was trying to correct her past by putting down roots of her own. While several previous authors depict her final months as tumultuous, Vitacco-Robles provides evidence that suggests Marilyn was trying to pull her life together and give it some personal meaning. During the spring and summer of 1962, Marilyn embraced her newfound domesticity by pulling weeds in her garden, writing recipes in her copy of The Joy of Cooking and actually using the pots and pans in her kitchen. The book contains actual photographs of the house, interspersed with realistic renderings of the home by artist Brandon Heidrick. The author divides the photos and illustrations with floor plans for each room and includes pictures of an architectural model that depicts the entire property as it appeared in 1962. After she purchased the 2,300 square foot house, Monroe began extensively researching authentic Mexican design, landscaping and furnishings in an effort to slowly transform it into the home of her dreams. She arranged for an 11-day trip to Mexico where she painstakingly selected fabrics, tapestries, painted tiles, pottery and art. Monroe met the native artists who had made by hand the objects that she would later display in her home. Vitacco-Robles is donating a portion of the royalties from sales of this book to Hollygrove Children and Family Services, formerly the Los Angeles Orphans Home Society, where Marilyn Monroe lived as a child.
A MUST- HAVE FOR ANY MARILYN ENTHUSIAST!!.......2004-02-16
When I first received my copy of Cursum Perficio: Marilyn's Brentwood Hacienda, I wasn't sure what to expect. Much to my surprise, I was enthralled and fascinated by the details of Marilyn's final months, so eloquently chronicled by Gary Vitacco-Robles. Void of any media hype and speculation about the cause of her death, Vitacco-Robles explores how Marilyn searched and found the perfect place to call home...a respite from the choatic life she led in the media spotlight.
You will journey with her as she went on shopping sprees for furnishings and ornaments in a quest to make the only home she ever owned a reflection of herself.
The book contains a vast collection of actual photographs, as well as impressive photo-recreations of the home's interior as it looked in 1962 and now.
I applaud Vitacco-Robles for a superb testamant to the woman so many longed to know. This book reveals a whole other side of Marilyn that has never been revealed.
A MUST HAVE for any Marilyn enthusiast!
Clarification on this second edition version.......2003-10-31
There has been some confusion about the second edition of this book and the sales information on this site. According to the publisher, Iuniverse, the hardcover edition offered here is actually a "second edition" released in October 2003, although the release date printed is still listed as 2000. This is because it is a "re-do" under the same title previously released by the publisher. The new second edition cover for the paperback and hardcover depicts Marilyn standing beside the gates of her home and sell respectively for $20.95 and $30.95. The first edition was only published in paperback with a different cover for $11.95. The publisher says that vendors will continue to sell the first edition paperbacks until supplies depleted. The second edition contains new images, new chapters, re-worked chapters and information not included in the first. Having seen this book, the quality of photo reproduction in this new version are far superior than in the first. It also includes professional, "photorealistic-style" illustrations by artist Brandon Heidrick depicting the interior and exterior of Marilyn's home and furnishings. The images serve as a "virtual tour" of Marilyn's last home similar to the author's website.

a lovely book........2003-10-23
I bought the book after stumbling across the author's web-site and finding myself riveted by every page of the site. I am regretting not having splurged and bought the hardcover edition as I'm sure the colour pictures are wonderful. As it stands, the paperback version could use some better editing but the story is warm and always respectful. I really recommend it to anyone who is fascinated by the charm of Marilyn, but is sick of the sensationalism.
