This book was okay i was a little tired of hearing about what they where wearing. The writer spent more time talking about there clothes then the plot of the book. Other then that it was a good read. I hope there will be a Part II because there was a question at the end that i would think need answered.

This book was okay, not one of my favorites. I got tired of reading about every article of clothing Kane bought, wore or wanted. All the designer name dropping took away from the story line and got on my last nerve. This book really could have been converted into a short story if we didn't have to read about every characters clothes, jewelry, shoes, purses, etc.... Just Okay for me, tired of reading about the "Lifestyles Of The Ghetto Fabulous." And can somebody please tell me what was up with the author using the "N" word in every other sentence, was that necessary?

Oh my god this is defiantely one of my favorite books hands down Kisa Kane was that chick who stuck by her man no matter what. This book had me screaming out loud on some parts but this book was definately worth the money and one of my top 5. i can't wait for the sequel. The book overall was good but I could do without the description of what clothes they had on all the time and how much they cost. What the author failed to do was verify the characters complete backgrounds. Yeah I know that Sincere's grandpa was Italian and a made man but what else was Sincere? Was he also black or what and who was black his grandma or his daddy? There's also not enough info about Kisa's father. Where was he when she went home to her momma? The book does not give enough information or explore the pasts of the characters.

I enjoyed this book. No need to summarize the stories since many have already. I'm more of a mystery/thriller reader but this book gave me a taste of three fun and sexy stories.

I just finished this book today. I thought the first two stories were great, I think the third lacked something. The couple in the 2nd story that had been friends for so long and for her to come to him and ask of him what she did just blew me away.
Josie and Nick just warmed my heart all over.
All in all, I would recommed this book.

Tantalizing/Lori Foster
Josie Jackson's sister arranges a blind date for her with Bob Morrison. Both dreaded the blind date; he expected a stuffy, matronly prude while Josie assumed that Bob would be another boring, nerdy man just as all of her sister's other fix-ups had been. Josie decides to scare off her geeky match with a red-hot outfit, hair and make up, never dreaming that her date would be a gorgeous specimen of a man capable of showing her just how sensuous she is. The only problem is that Bob isn't Bob at all; he's Bob's business partner Nick Harris. Nick agreed to stand in for Bob because Bob is crazy about Josie's sister, Susan and doesn't want to date anyone else. Nick allows Josie to believe that he is Bob, thinking that he would continue to see her just a while longer, and then he was unwilling to stop the exquisite pleasure he has found in helping Josie lose her inhibitions. But when pleasure turns into something much deeper and Nick still hasn't told Josie the truth, he fears what her reaction will be at being deceived.
Lori Foster has once again given her readers a lighthearted, sexy story with more of the adorable characters that she is known for.
His Every Fantasy/Janelle Denison
Leah Burton wants to know how to please a man before she marries her fiance, seeing how he doesn't warm her up in the same way as Jace Rutledge, her older brother's best friend. When Leah tells Jace that she needs a favor of him, he never dreams that her request would involve tutoring her in sensual pleasure. When he hesitates and she suggests that perhaps she should look elsewhere for instruction, he finds that he cannot stand the thought of her being intimate with anyone but him. After sharing every intimacy imaginable, Jace simply cannot let Leah go and he sets out to convince her that his feelings are true, but he isn't sure if she shares those feelings.
This is a very steamy story that romance lovers will love.
Playmates/Crystal Green
Sean McIntyre and Fiona Cruz handle public relations/marketing management for two of the hottest actors, and are working hard at keeping the peace between their respective clients, they work brilliantly together in front of the camera but behind it seem capable of murdering each other. Keeping their hands to themselves proved to be just as difficult for Sean and Fiona. They thought that they could play the game without falling in love, but it begins to look like that will be harder than either anticipates.
Crystal Green has written an incredibly sensual story with characters that are very much in touch with their sensual selves.

This book was an excellent set of stories to add a little spice to your summer. These stories were just the right length to read in the air or on the beach. As always, Lori Foster was excellent.
BUYERS BEWARE.......2005-08-07
All three stories were steamy! Not a bad book if you like HOT READS! Lori Foster and Janelle Denison are two of the best romance authors out there. But, If you are buying this book because you can't get enough of Lori Foster, BEWARE. The story "TANTALIZING" was released by Harlequin in 2004 in a book called "Lip Service" and is now being rereleased in this book. So, if you're buying this book hoping to find another one of Lori Foster's hard to find stories, you will be disappointed.

For fans of the show (which ran from 1985-88) the best thing about this book is definitely the Introduction "Two Years in the Twilight Zone" by Alan Brennert. On about 16 pages he describes how he came to work on the show, what working for it was like, what happened when it finally got cancelled and most interestingly he makes some remarks about the dreaded third season, which was done for half the budget by completely different people and he talks about the editing process of the first two seasons. After the introduction you get 21 stories from the show, which are interesting in their own right since sometimes they differ a lot from the final product.

The problem with this book is that while you think your're getting 21 short stories, you're really short stories that were made for tv scripts. For instance, "I of Newton" is only four pages long, and you wonder how they got an hour of programming out of some of these short stories. Also, if you are a fan of sci fi, you've probably read some of these stories before, like "Nightcrawlers" by Robert McCammon. But overall I like the stories I hadn't read. "Examination Day" ought to be standard reading in school, if for nothing less than to scare the bejeezus out of school children.

As a former Christian and now Muslim, I have to say that this book is a real disappointment. It's really quite hateful, and the things these guys say about Islam are complete fabrications. I'd like to ask any non-muslim who's interested in learning what Muslims believe to please just meet some muslims and talk to us in real life. Have coffee with a muslim once a week and ask him or her about their beliefs, instead of reading inaccuracies like this! It could really do us all a lot of good. We all need to get to know and understand each other better, that's the only way peace can be created, and we can't do that by reading books but by forging actual relationships.

Excellent book. I really enjoyed this book and the information that I learned. This is a really touchy subject so I am not surprised how drastic the difference in reviews are. The authors are very knowledgeable and show exactly where they get their facts. I would recommend this book to everyone and wish that more people would read it.
Basic overview.......2007-06-21
If you don't know anything at all about Islam, this is a great book. It gives the basic facts about the religion, its history, and its implications in current events. It has excellent ideas for people who want to witness to their Muslim acquaintances as well. Keep in mind, though, that the information is very, very basic. If you really want to be well-informed about Islam, you should probably try another book.
A Fascinating Book.......2007-06-15
Don't be turned off by the fact that the former Muslim's who wrote this book are now Christians. I found two of the best parts of the book were the brief yet riveting history of Islam as well as the writers relationship with their father. The two English Qur'an translations I used to cross check were the Abdullah Yusuf Ali, and Maulana Muhammad Ali versions.
If you are used to reading the King James Bible, you will have no problem grasping the language used in either of these two Qur'an translations. Each include plenty of the writers interpretations of the verses.

This is my first chocolate cookbook and it is great. There are beautiful pictures of all the creations and most are quite easy to make and the directions are easy to follow. The flourless chocolate cakes are to die for, almost a chocolate overload. i am so excited to try more of here recipies. A great coverage of a whole range of different deserts, some I had never seen recipies for. A must for chocolate lovers!

A nice inspiration source for charming, rustic country french design. I wanted more out of the book though - perhaps photos of full rooms rather than vignettes of tables and kitchen counters. It makes it hard to get a sense of design style without a full room effect in my opinion. The book does ooze charm and if you have other books on this style and just want a little extra something this would be ok. If however you really need a good book to learn all about french country style I would not suggest this one.

This book oozes with charm! The homes featured in this book are very old and beautifully brought back to life by its owners while respecting the history and integrity of these buildings. The title "Provencal Escapes" is appropriate since this book lets you escape into a dreamy and ancient world of Provence. The photos are gorgeous and you feel that you are actually walking through some of these homes. This book is a must for any fan of Provence or just of beautiful escapes. I highly recommend it!
Magnificant Redecoration of Older French Homes.......2005-10-12
This magnificant book consists of photographic studies of some 22 homes in the Provence and Cote d'Azur regions of France. These homes are primarily older (as much as 300 years) that have been seriously redecorated to make them into jewels of plesant styling.
For the most part, the redecoration of the homes has been to retain (or return to) the styling of the time they were built. Magnificant old beams show off well with modern appliances and decorations. The traditional outside of the houses hides the modern interiors. The original builders could not have imagined things we take for granted such as electricity that now has been fitted into their houses.
Redoing an old house is easily as expensive as modern construction, so these houses have not been done for cost savings but for other reasons like living in a part of history.
While this book concentrates on this region of France, many of the techniques used in these houses could well be applied to houses in the United States where old houses be they farm or city center can be made into something unique and wonderful.

This book features mainly beautiful drawings with very little written story, but it still captures the essence of Druuna along with the depth and complexities of her quest. Druuna is an incredibly complex character, one to be admired for more than just her sexuality. Those who only see the beautiful woman are definitely missing something. Though we can't "see" her brains, she has great intelligence.
The "Obsession" story is not seamless or traditional storytelling; rather, it is somewhat ethereal - voicing Druuna's thoughts, mindset, and reasoning. What is especially exceptional about this is the insight we receive regarding her two primary motivations - to save/help Shastar (her love) and to survive. Her means to accomplish these things is where her intelligence really shows. She is smart enough to use bartering and manipulation to achieve her goal, mainly to obtain serum to slow or reverse the mutation caused by the disease that has infected everyone. Druuna is not the typical warrior science fiction/fantasy woman. Sure, she could pick up a sword and inflict some serious damage and death. She chooses not to do this because she is intelligent. In a brutal world inhabited mainly by evil men, who are naturally stronger than she is, she would be killed fairly quickly if she chose to fight. Since she must live to help Shastar, she uses other means to survive, and to get what she needs.
Of course, the primary purpose of this book is sexual stimulation, and Serpieri accomplishes this beautifully. However, I am impressed that this story includes less fetish and bondage than many other graphic fantasy novels. There is more raw or pure energy and stimulation, so we can focus simply on Druuna and the meaning in her quest. For those who enjoy the grittiness, violence, and other graphic horrors depicted in the Druuna serial from Heavy Metal, this book includes some of those things such as leeches, snakes, and giant spiders. However, if you are seeking the most violent and explicit images of Druuna and her encounters, they are not included in this book. The many websites featuring the art of Serpieri would be a better source for "extreme" Druuna, or possibly other books that are available.
Of note in this tale is Druuna's conflict and self-hate regarding the small amount of pleasure she occasionally gains from her encounters with the men and mutants of this festering, stagnant world. Yet, in a world full of horrors, how could she continue to survive without some pleasure to counter the torment? There is a brief reference in this book to the even greater evil that exists in Druuna's world: The inhabitants of the upper city, who likely have the power and ability to help the others but chose not to, which is much more despicable than the actions of those in the lower filth whose evil is born of pain, despair, and violence.
Another credit to Serpieri's genius is the fact that he does not portray Druuna as an ultra-thin woman. Real and healthy women of the world can look at her and not feel bad about having muscles and a normal amount of padding. Druuna does not inspire poor self-image. She makes women with curves feel beautiful instead of ashamed.
The most exquisite drawings in this book are the two of Druuna and Shastar together; their expressions are very touching, along with the way they hold one another. However, since both characters are clothed in these scenes, some people may not find them as enjoyable as the rest of the art in this book.
The art of this book clearly showcases Serpieri's "obsession" with Druuna and Druuna's "obsession" with her journey. For those who are able look beyond Druuna's beauty and erotic encounters, the important reasons for her quest and the intelligence of her character are presented. Having enjoyed Druuna's saga for years in Heavy Metal, I only hope someday the complete Druuna story will be available in one volume, though I doubt this will be possible since she is a fantasy woman whose quest will never really end, and a complete volume would need an ending. This review includes more words than are in the entire "Obsession" book, but the "search" for Druuna includes more depth than can be described briefly.
An illustration book for the amateurs of european comics.......1999-07-14
This book, and its companion "Drunna X 2", showcases the fluid art of Mr Serpieri.
This book features plenty of eye candy for the amateur of euro comics and erotica. Even if some illustrations can be considered of a somewhat pornographic nature, Druuna remains a true euro comics classic, and these books are a tribute to its creator.
Definitively not for minors....

Radio to technology TV.......2003-07-12
I got this book for a Media Arts college class. It starts at the beginning of radio all the way up to turn of the century TV technology. If you are looking for a book that gives a descriptive history of mostly TV and radio, this is quite a good book.
One of the best things about this book is the chronological organization. Each decade is a separate chapter, each year is a seperate section. It also includes a timeline along the top of each page covering the details of history at that time for a greater understanding of socially induced technological changes.

This book about American broadcasting history is wonderfully accessible and enjoyable to read. Very comprehensive, too.
