Okay so let me tell you this book is about a boy named Allen a.k.a. Pooney he just joined the Deuce-Nine Crips and he's loving it at first. He thought he had it all money, respect, power, and lets not forget about the women, but then one of the highest ranking members starts taking a liking into Pooneys little sister Sheila and let me tell you shes only 13 years old Pooneys love for "the family" starts to crumble and he wants out, but it's much harder to get out of this gang then it is to get in so what is Pooney to do

5 out of 5 stars This is for my homie..........2007-01-11

Regina Richards knows how hard it is being a young adult in such a corrupt world. Her kids father have been locked down for years and he will not see the light of day on the outside again. Regina knows that her young son Pooney will need the structure of a strong man to make it in an increasingly violent world. Hopefully, someone else doesn't decide to take the stand for the father Pooney once had.

Sheila knows that one day her lies of trying to hide Pooney's ways are going to catch up to her. She loves her older brother and fully understands that he is caught up in something that is hard to get out of. If she is trying to watch out for Pooney, who is watching out for her?

Pooney loves the life of money, cars and respect. His fifteen year old mentality ensures him that the "street life" is more important than being a good student, a responsible son and a helpful older brother. After reaching great levels in the notorious street gang, Deuce-Nine Crips, Pooney realizes that it is not all fun and games.

Gangsta Lean takes you from the heart of a young man to the bold streets of Galveston, Texas. There are pages that will make you laugh, cry must mostly understand. You understand how hard it is to raise two children as a single parent and also to raise a teenage son. You also begin to see that peer pressure and the streets are easily something that we call could fall victims to. Great story for all to read.

Allen Richards aka "Pooney" was just a 15 year old trying to fit in. A proud new member of the Deuce Nine Crips, Pooney is faced with the seemingly easy street life. As naive as Pooney was he knew it was time to call it quits when his gang leader, Mo is building a relationship with his sister. But how can he just quit? It's Deuce Nine 4 life--right? With a tough predicament at hand how can Allen do whats right?
This book has it all. Action, love, suspense, gangs and murder. It showed all the characteristics of the street life. The book was outstanding. If you haven't read this yet you should jump it up in your to read list. Trust me, you wont be dissappointed.

5 out of 5 stars Lean Back!!.......2006-04-22

Fifteen year old Allen Richards aka "Pooney" was just looking for a sense of belonging when he joined the Deuce-Nine Crips gang. With his father behind bars and his mother working odd hours he embarks on a road to self destruction which includes drugs, jaiil and blood - all in the name of Deuce-Nine. And while Pooney feels he has no one to turn to, his sister, girlfriend and even his coach try to open his eyes to his potential. But first they must declare "You stupid Pooney!"

This is a 'true to life' story with personable charactars that lure the reader. I especially liked Pooney's sister Sheila and the relationship they shared. The writing is consistent and the storyline flows smoothly to a satisfying conclusion. "Gangsta Lean" is a story many youth and adult alike can connect with and I look forward to more conscious stories from this author.

Book Description

From the USA Today bestselling author, a vampire-meets-girl story set in the city that never sleeps-except during daylight.

He's a bloodsucking freak of nature. But, unlike other politicians, Ethan Carrick is actually a nice guy. Not to mention a very hot, wealthy, casino-owning vampire. It's an election year for vampires, which means he'll first have to escape his opponent's hit men. Then he'll have to find a suitable First Lady, preferably here in Vegas.

Brittany Baldizzi fits the bill. She's smart, pretty- and sweeter than a glass of diabetic O-Negative. But her protective sister Alexis steps in with a message for Ethan: Bite me. It's then that he realizes it's the sexy, no-nonsense Alexis who raises his stake. And as much as she denies it, Alexis wouldn't mind a romp in the coffin with him. But can a mere mortal, even one who risks her life for him, make a centuries-old, womanizing vampire feel something entirely new?

4 out of 5 stars Fun start to a new series.......2007-10-09

Erin McCarthy has started off a new, fun series that is somewhat imaginative, unrealistic, but packed with lots of romance. I'm not a huge fan of her books, even though I keep buying them, lol.

Alexis, the main character, she packs a lot of punch for a little lady, and her lines are quite funny at times. She's very physical, and brash, which just adds to the humor. She's the kind of female hero that you like to see these days, stands up for herself and always puts her foot down when she thinks it's right.

4 out of 5 stars Good start to the series..........2007-07-02

What happens when you mix vampires and politics?

Ethan Carrick wants to be re-elected as president of the Vampire Nation. His campaign manager is pushing him to reform his wild ways by settling down with a suitable politician's partner. Brittany Baldizzi seems like the perfect match, except for one tiny problem... Brittany's sweetness bores Ethan while Alexis, her sister, has him captivated by her feistiness. Is there hope for love between Ethan and Alexis?

HIGH STAKES is a hilarious take on vampires and politics. After all, you have to laugh at the image of a vampire focusing on exit polls! Erin McCarthy infuses humor throughout this sassy but intriguing tale that is sure to make the reader laugh out loud on more than one occasion.

The relationship between Ethan and Alexis is a joy to watch as it develops. From their first meeting, sparks fly between these two very hard-headed characters. I love Alexis' attitude of never giving up. She can be a bit volatile at times, but that only enhances the strength of her character. Erin McCarthy does an excellent job at keeping Alexis likeable, however, as her insecurities over her height and figure soften her almost brash personality.

HIGH STAKES is a real pleasure to read. Erin McCarthy has written a quick, fun book that is perfect for days when you want a good dose of humor. One caution, however, as several threads are left hanging and unresolved. Readers who want all of the details tied up at the end may feel a bit disconcerted as the book is obviously a set up for the future sequels. Quite a few secondary characters are introduced who will apparently play more significant, maybe even starring, roles in later books. However, HIGH STAKES is an excellent start to the series.

3 out of 5 stars Eh.......2007-04-08

I wasn't aware this book was part of a series when I bought it, so it's possible that some of my complaints are dealt with in later books. The story is basically a long introduction to the main characters of the series. There are at least four events/situations/problems that remain unsolved by the end of the book. For people who get frustrated by books with a constant stream of characters, this book has eight POVs. Thankfully, the author's constant POV switches are dominated by only four of the characters.
The story is pretty bland and has been done before. Conflicting Vampire politics, instant attraction between Vamp and human, 'Us against the world' stance of Vamp and human and doing the unthinkable due to sudden violence/drama. Oh, I forgot to mention that most of the Vampires seem to be a bit forgetful. One moment they have a certain talent, but it's gone in the next or apparently only works when it's not needed.
I'm giving the story 3 stars because it did have some humorous moments and I only paid a few dollars for it. Definitely not worth paying full price for.

3 out of 5 stars High Stakes: A Tale of Vegas Vampires.......2007-01-18

I thought is was a funny and interesting book to read. The writer keep you interested in the book.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic!.......2006-11-04

I love Erin McCarthy. Even if you don't like Vampire Fiction, you will like this book.
It has Erin's typical laugh out loud humor. Fun and intriguing characters that make this book a real page turner. I didn't want to set it down.
Ethan is a vampire seeking Vampire public office. He feels he needs a wife to seal the deal.
He sets his sights on his Dentist, Brittany. She's the stereotypical girl next door. He takes her to his hotel/casino for a few days to woo her.
When Brittany's sister Alexis gets wind of whats going on she charges in ready to get her sister back.
Ethan has already begun to think Brittany is to straight for his tastes.
Brittany knows what he is and is there to save the vampires from damnation.
Alexis thinks everyone has lost their minds.
This is a fun, funny story that leaves you hanging and wanting more, as it is the first in a series of 3 so far. I am looking forward to all of them.

This is book number two in the new Second Foundation Trilogy being written by hard science fiction authors Gregory Benford, Greg Bear, and David Brin, otherwise known as the "Killer B's." In this book, Bear continues where Benford's Foundation's Fear left off, as the trial of legendary psychohistorian Hari Seldon is about to begin. Bear writes with a style uncannily similar to Foundation creator Isaac Asimov's, and he even manages to incorporate some of Asimov's own writing in the novel. Aside from the trial, Bear also focuses on the nearly immortal robots that serve the Foundation, including R. Daneel Olivaw, who is set to guide one of the Foundation's first great undertakings. But Olivaw runs into trouble from an unexpected quarter, his best operative, Lodovik Trema, whose positronic brain has been irrevocably altered in a strange accident that has given him freedom from the supposedly immutable laws of robotics. --Craig Engler

Book Description

Isaac Asimov's Foundation Trilogy is one of the high-water marks of science fiction. It pioneered many of the familiar themes of modern SF, and the sheer sweep of his "future history" shaped many if not most of the writers who followed him.

With the permission and blessing of the Asimov estate, three of today's bestselling SF writers, Gregory Benford, Greg Bear and David Brin, have conspired (like the original Foundation!) to complete the epic saga the beloved Grand Master left unfinished.

The acclaimed Second Foundation Trilogy continues with Greg Bear's Foundation and Chaos, the gripping new novel about a galaxy-wide power struggle within the ranks of the robots that have served and protected humankind for 20 centuries.

Hari Seldon, frail and full of years, is on trial for daring to predict the Empire's fall, and the time has come for the long-anticipated migration to Star's End. But R. Daneel Olivaw, the brilliant robot entrusted with this great mission, has discovered a potential enemy, even deadlier than the figurehead Emperor's brutal minions.

One of his own.

Humaniform robot Lodovik Trema is the only survivor of a bizarre insterstellar accident. Exposed to a neutrino storm, his positronic brain has apparently erased the holographic template of the Three Laws of Robotics. If this is true, Lodovic's service to humankind is no longer a question of destiny, but of will, and therefore, no longer absolute.

Daneel needs Lodovic, so he sends him to Eos, the legendary secret planet where the robots perfect their service to humankind. And Lodovic says he is healed. Yet, can he be trusted, when stirrings of discontent are arising all over the galaxy? Other robots are questioning their mission and Daneel's strategy.

And humans, too. Hidden in the steel caves of Trantor, sought by loyalist and rebel alike, is an obscure heatsink worker's daughter, a girl whose amazing mental powers are also the result of disaster: the deadly human malady known as Brain Fever. Young Klia Asgar's awesome but unwanted psychic abilities promise to join man and robot in a common destiny... or a mutual destruction.

The epic saga left unfinished by the Grand Master himself now continues with this second masterful volume (and the blessing of the Asimov estate). Brilliant robot leader R. Daneel Olivaw is about to begin the Galactic Empire's long-anticipated migration to Star's End, until he faces a deadly threat -- from one of his own kind. A rebellion is stirring, and there's only one hope: a young woman with awesome psychic abilities who can join man and robot in a quest for common freedom, or mutual destruction.

Isaac Asimov's renowned Foundation Trilogy pioneered many of the familiar themes of modern science fiction and shaped many of its best writers. With the permission and blessing of the Asimov estate, the epic saga left unfinished by the Grand Master himself now continues with this second masterful volume.

With Hari Seldon on trial for treason, the Galactic Empire's long-anticipated migration to Star's End is about to begin. But the mission's brilliant robot leader, R. Daneel Olivaw, has discovered a potential enemy far deadlier--and closer--than he ever imagined. One of his own kind.

A freak accident erases the basic commandments in humaniform robot Lodovik Trema's positronic brain. Now Lodovic's service to humankind is no longer bound by destiny, but by will. To ensure his loyalty, Daneel has Lodovic secretly reprogrammed. But can he be trusted? Now, other robots are beginning to question their mission--and Daneel's strategy. And stirrings of rebellion, too, are infecting their human counterparts. Among them is a young woman with awesome psychic abilities, a reluctant leader with the power to join man and robot in a quest for common freedom.or mutual destruction.

The Foundation Saga Continues

Read Gregory Benford's Foundation's Fear, the first novel in this bold new series and Secret Foundation, the concluding volume from David Brin. "

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars The Zombie Asimov's Rule.......2007-09-27

Greg Bear's book is the second of 3 books published by the 3 B's (Benford, Bear, Brin). While the first book is a little slow to start, this book sucks you in from the start and really extends the world of Daneel, Hari, and Dors. By the time you finish it you cannot wait to see how it all ends.

4 out of 5 stars What a relief!.......2007-07-16

After Benford's horrid attempt (first book of the trilogy), Bear's novel was a relief. His style is very asimovian, and the two most annoying characters in the history of SF (the "sims" Joan of Arc and Voltaire) do not play an important part, and even get killed near the end. Oh, boy, did I enjoy that!!. Unfortunately, it's not that easy to destroy them.

But the book has many weak points. For instance, the evolution of "mentalics" as a reaction to robotic manipulation of human history is almost unbelievable.

Also, there are too many robots in this trilogy. What I liked most of the original trilogy is that of a human-only galaxy, where a man, armed with just mathemathics, is able to organize and predict the future of humanity. A single man. That was great stuff.

I've only read the two first books of the trilogy, and they transpire a negative view of psychohistory. Of course, humans do not want to be controlled (and this was already present in Asimov's Second Foundation novel, where the First Foundation fights against the Second). But psychohistory itself never had a negative flavor. The fact that PH is interpreted in a negative fashion in this new trilogy, changes the "feel" of the original novels. I believe that could have been handled better.

Summarizing, this is an entertaining book, quite asimovian, but the issue of determinism vs. freedom, security-but-stagnation vs. creativity-but-risk-and-chaos, could have been handled much better. Those are the real issues behind Asimov's ideas, but psychohistory should've gotten a bit more respect, it was such a great and beautiful idea.

But I enjoyed reading it, so I'm giving it 4 stars.

I'm starting reading the third book and it looks bad ... here come Joan and Voltaire again. Puke! puke!

5 out of 5 stars Greag Bear Does Asimov Well.......2004-09-30

The second book in the post-Asimov foundation series is by one of my favorite SF authors--Greg Bear. This book picks up after Gregory Benford's Foundation's Fear, but does not come chronologically right after the end of that book. Rather, what has been done in this new series is that spots not filled out by Asimov are now filled in, so Benford's work takes place just as the main character, Hari Seldon, takes the post of First Ministership, while Bear's book takes place after that time and what we were left to think was the decline and death of Seldon (that impression made in Asimov's Forward Foundation.

Bear is really great at picking up a genre that is not his own (as I liked in his Star Trek and Star Wars novels). Foundation and Chaos is more like Asimov's style than Benford's, but Bear still manages to fill out some details not covered before, especially about political strive among the robots. The idea that the robots have differing opinions and political groups working against each other is really amazing. Loved it all.

5 out of 5 stars Asimov collections.......2004-03-08

Amazon should combine the books of a subject together so as to make ordering easier, in the same way you have combined lists. For eg. all of Robot books of Asimov in onr orderable quantity and the foundation series in another.

5 out of 5 stars Very good, but not Asimov.......2003-12-16

This is a very good story written but a great author. I am so glad that he stayed so true to Asimov's original intentions for the series (unlike Brian Herbert with his Dune books). It does not read like Asimov though. This is forgivable because Bear never tried to emulate Asimov's style, he only tried to take Asimov's unfinished story and do the best job he could with his own writing style, which is really a better way to go if you think about it.

3 out of 5 stars Critical Thoughts From a True Reader.......2005-04-09

I for one did read the book. While I am not a fan of C. Peter Wagner or his books, I do want to write a review that is based on the book and not my personal feelings toward Wagner. I do take exception with the reviewer who feels that Wagner will be ranked with the likes of John Wesley or Martin Luther in 100 years but that is beside the point. Only Jesus should be honored at all (1 Timothy 6:16).

The book deals with the charismatic emphasis on the third wave and more specifically the apostle/prophet movement begun by Wagner, John Wimber, Bob Jones, and Bill Hamon. The book essentially outlines Wagner's desire and his personal eye-witness to the changes he sees coming (and have come) from the third wave movement and these above mentioned teachers. In many ways, Wagner writes with a positive view toward the future and he believes that God is preparing His church for a mighty world-wide revival.

The problems with this book are many. For one, Wagner, while a theologically trained man, seems to take exception with theology (see chapter 8). He sees theology as more of a hinderance to a move of God than a plus. He believes the walls of doctrine need to fall down and bring together Catholics, Evangelicals, Liturgical Protestants, and of course Pentecostals and Charismatics. The problem with this view is that it ignores the call to hold to sound doctrine (1 Timothy 4:15; Titus 2:1) and ignores defending the historic Christian faith (1 Peter 3:15-16; Jude 3-4). Theology is vital to the Church (John 8:31-32; 1 Corinthians 15:1-2; Galatians 3:1-5).

Secondly, the book has the feel of the whole emerging church idea. Wagner is willing (and seems delighted) to let go of sound teaching for whatever causes the church to grow. Whether it be the Open God views of Clark Pinnock or Oneness Pentecostals or Catholics. The point for Wagner (and sadly many other charismatics) is experience is the key. Experience in Christ and the Spirit is the ultimate unity binder. Of course, this is not biblical (1 Cor. 1:10-17; 3:10-17; James 2:14-26; 1 John 2:3-6).

Finally, the book follows suit with many other church growth gurus and fails to offer a biblical pattern for church growth. Wagner highlights text that benefit his chapters but fails to exegete the passages. In the end the reader is left chasing experience and embracing whatever it takes to get my church to grow with little thought of "is this biblical?". Charles Spurgeon rightly noted, "The church that is most loved by the world is surely that which is most abhored by God."

5 out of 5 stars Luther, Wesley, Wagner.......2004-11-21

This was a strange experience -- as a student at Fuller Theological Seminary I picked up a book at the Fuller Bookstore written by a former Fuller professor, which contains a chapter explaining exactly why seminaries are irrelevant and useless -- and I loved every word of it!

Make no mistake, there is something in this book for almost everyone to hate. Over the last decade or so, virtually every Pharisee and self-appointed heresy hunter on the Internet has taken shots at Peter Wagner, so my guess is that Wagner decided that he's lost that part of his potential audience anyway. So, Wagner embraces Open Theism, Latter Rain Restorationism, and the prophetic/apostolic movements; he holds out an olive branch to "Oneness" Pentecostals; and he exposes "TULIP" Calvinism as the false doctrine that it is.

Is this a divisive book? Oddly enough, no. Of course there will be some that reject Wagner just as they have rejected him before, but this is a call to the Body of Christ to put aside the things that have divided us -- denominationalism, ridiculously heavy doctrinal statements, and everything else that is the teaching of man -- and actually become what Jesus asked us to become: not intimidated Christians cowering in a holy bunker waiting for the Rapture, but Christians who will seek forcefully to advance the Kingdom of God, make disciples of all nations, and storm hell's strongholds with the promise that the gates of hell will not stand against us.

I applaud Prof. Wagner for his courage in writing this book. I have studied Latter Rain theology for most of the last ten years. It is Biblical theology that is miscalled a "heresy" because one denomination, the Assemblies of God, rejected it 50 years ago. Jesus warned us about the problem of new wine and wineskins. When the Latter Rain wine hit the Church 50 years ago it just about burst the A/G wineskin, but that certainly doesn't mean that there is something wrong with the wine. After all, Wesley was all but thrown out of the Church of England, and "heretic" was one of the nicer things Martin Luther was called when he started pouring the new wine of the Reformation. If the Lord tarries, I confidently predict that 100 years from now Peter Wagner (and his mentor, John Wimber) will be mentioned in the same breath as Luther and Wesley.

5 out of 5 stars Suspend Judgment, Give it a Read first!.......2004-11-01

If you've found yourself wondering why church has lost its luster, C. Peter Wagner's Changing Church, will shed some light on this dilemma. Examining the Church and noting "the postmodern aversion to brand loyalty" or the "old wineskin" of traditional denominational structures, Wagner challenges readers to examine the "new wineskin" known as the Second Apostolic Age.
A Church Growth Professor at Fuller Seminary for over 33 years, holding three earned doctorates, two from Fuller and one from Princeton, Wagner speaks with simplicity and clarity detailing the dilemma the Church finds herself in-in layman friendly terms. Citing pastors, churches and apostles from around the globe, Wagner's case is solid. When encountering terms like "spirit of religion," "oneness theology," "TULIP," "apostles," "spiritual warfare," and "trinity," suspend judgment in order to fully examine the breadth of Wagner's argument.
By embracing a "lighter doctrinal load," "equipping the saints for ministry," embracing "Wesleyan holiness" and holding others "mutually accountable," the church can move into the postmodern era and fulfill her God-given role. Crossing denominational lines and ordaining anointed leaders, not necessarily seminary-trained leaders (scholars) are essential to the Second Apostolic Age. The Church functioning as a body of believers at long last is Wagner's hopeful message ripe with promise.
Wagner shares his personal paradigm shifts, offering biblical references to move readers gently through his argument point by point. Wagner is a true scholar, able to convey a vast amount of information in a concise (180 pages) and unintimidating way. If you can get beyond the buzzwords mentioned above, this book will challenge you to examine your view of the Church, personal holiness, and the coming apostolic revolution. An excellent book for intercessors, laymen, pastors, and students. Thoroughly indexed, it can be a valuable addition to any library. I highly recommend this book. 1 out of 5 stars I would have given it ZERO stars if that were an option!.......2004-09-17

This book proves beyond any shadow of doubt that C. Peter Wagner and his miriad of followers, "prophets" and "apostles", are indeed teaching and promoting the heresy of the New Order of the Latter Rain. If you are a true bibilical Christian please be aware that this stuff is the Apostasy that Jesus Christ and the Apostles (not these "apostles") predicted would take place long ago. We are commanded by Jesus Christ to reject those who teach things that corrupt the core doctrines of the Faith. Christ and the Apostles warned us many times to stay away from false teachers and false prophets. You need to decide whether to obey the Lord Jesus Christ, or obey these people. Remember that those who say they love the Lord prove that love by obeying His commands. Rom. 16:17 "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses CONTRARY TO THE DOCTRINE WHICH YE HAVVE LEARNED; and avoid them."

5 out of 5 stars Another wonderful book from the expert..........2000-07-07

Mashburn writes terrific books. His Postcard Guide is the best general book out there. He also does specialized postcard books such as this one. Anyone who collects artist-signed postcards will want this book, no question about it.

It is filled with hundreds of pages and pictures of all our favorite artists, like Harrison Fisher, Philip Boileau, Earl Christy, as well as the more obscure yet fabulous artists like Lupiac and others. He covers a variety of categories, like Beautiful Ladies, Beautiful Children, Nudes, Blacks, Sports, and Comics. He includes a reference section in the front which goes over important information such as how to determine the age of a card, grade a card's condition, and so on. My only quibble with this book is that all the inside images are in black and white, and I would have loved to see some in color. Perhaps in the next edition.

If you're looking for a comprehensive reference on Artist-Signed postcards, this is the book to buy.

5 out of 5 stars Southern Living 2005.......2007-01-15

I love this book!! I had originally bought this book for the wonderful
christmas decor ideas...great centerpieces, table scapes, wreaths..ect.
I happen to decorate my house in a very "natural", woodsy theme and this book has loads of those...all just beautiful. To top it off, it has wonderful recipes too! Many times you will get a book like this and it will have a few things you love but the majority is so so. Not this one, I can say that I love everything in this book! Great purchase.

        3 out of 5 stars Punkinhead.......2006-06-14

Not what I expected. I have most of the other editions and it seems they took the best of the past 25 years and put it all in one book. I hope that 2006 edition is better!!!

5 out of 5 stars Totally enjoyed the book!!.......2006-02-05

This was my first purchase of a Christmas With Southern Living book and I was quite happy with my purchase and am anticipating the 2006!! I took this to my parents one weekend when my sisters were there and they all wanted a copy. I used quite a few of the recipes from the book for my Thanksgiving Dinner and they went over well especially the Butter Coconut Pie--YUMMY. As I am not a seasoned CWSL book buyer I don't have others to compare it to (except for one from the 1990's my sister gave me which I felt was not half as nice as this one)but would give this ***** five stars.

1 out of 5 stars 25th Anniversary Edition Falls Far Short of Expectations.......2006-02-03

I am a decades-long lover of Southern Living publications. Whether we buy the magazines, the cookbooks, or the home products, many of us count on Southern Living for unsurpassed quality and creativity.

I am extremely disappointed with "Christmas with Southern Living 2005". This edition marks the 25th Anniversary of this regularly phenomenal book. I can hardly believe this belongs in the same category as the volumes from previous years.

Certainly, the color photography remains true to form, wonderfully presented. But it's the sheer lack of creative craft ideas, and the fewer number of quality recipe ideas that mar this normally fantastic book. I was expecting a five-star product for the silver anniversary - what I fear I've received is far below what SL should have offered.

I expect CwSL 2006 to make up for what 2005's edition was lacking - this company will most certainly not let us down again. I'll continue to buy Southern Living books without hesitation - and with excitement! I'm simply disappointed that the 2005 book will find its way to the back of the bookcase.

5 out of 5 stars A must have for the Christmas perfectionist!.......2005-10-25

I'm an admitted Christmas fanatic. I love decorating the house, baking everyday in the month of December & decking out the tree. This book has so many great ideas & recipes, especially the planned menus for breakfast, lunch & dinner! You can never go wrong buying a Southern Living book.

For many of you Aqua fans, they have released an official book, which is a must-have. This book contains exclusive photos, biographies of each member, stories of their success, and so much more. If you like Aqua so much, this must be the book for you.

If your a fan of the fun pop/dance group Aqua then you will probably enjoy this book. It tells the story of the group right from childhood and follows them up to the release of their first album and tour. I found it very interesting and well set out. A very good read

3 out of 5 stars Lots of info on Aqua, but bad writing........1998-10-28

Has a lot of previously unknown pictures of Aqua, and a lot of pictures, which I love. But in my opinion Jacqui Swift uses words like "sensational!" and such words about every other sentence, which makes it kind of strange to read. I mean, Aqua have really done the unexpected and sensational, but all they do is not sensational! It becomes a bit unnatural...
