Book Description
From "one of America's premier writers of fiction" (New York Times) comes this novel inspired by the 1985 police bombing of a West Philadelphia row house owned by the back-to-nature, Afrocentric cult known as Move. The bombing killed eleven people and started a fire that destroyed sixty other houses. At the center of the story is Cudjoe, a writer and exile who returns to his old neighborhood after spending a decade fleeing from his past, and his search for the lone survivor of the fire a young boy who was seen running from the flames. An impassioned, brutally honest journey through the despair and horror of life in urban America, "Philadelphia Fire isn't a book you read so much as one you breathe" (San Francisco Chronicle).

Book Description
When Malinalli, a member of the tribe conquered by the Aztec warriors, first meets Cortés, she -- like many -- believes that he is the reincarnated forefather god of her tribe. Naturally, she assumes that her task is to help Cortés destroy the Aztec empire and free her people. The two fall passionately in love, but Malinalli gradually comes to realize that Cortés's thirst for conquest is all too human. He is willing to destroy anyone, even his own men, even their own love.
Throughout Mexican history, Malinalli has been reviled for her betrayal of the Indian people. However, recent historical research has shown that her role was much more complex; she was the mediator between two cultures, Hispanic and Native American, and two languages, Spanish and Náhuatl.
Bursting with lyricism and vivid imagery, Malinche finally unveils the truth behind this legendary love affair.
Customer Reviews:
Lucia Mendez is a fabulous reader.......2007-05-07
I was very impressed with Lucia Mendez' reading of Malinche. The author, Laura Esquivel did a good job, but of course Malinche does not come close to "Like Water for Chocolate." However, Esquivel brings life into the ancient story of La Malinche. Nevertheless, Esquivel and Mendez make a great team. Mendez is a wonderful actress. Congrats to both. Yes, I recommend this audio-book because to listen to La Mendez is a treat and such great entertainment.
Marian.
Extremely disappointing.......2007-01-04
Like many reviewers here, I admired and enjoyed "Like Water for Chocolate" and was intrigued by the concept of this book; therefore I was unpleasantly surprised to find myself slogging through one of the worst novels I have ever read. By the end, I was actually angry and felt ripped off by the publisher, who should never have put this thing in print!
Vague, self-contradictory, confusing, and generally inarticulate, "Malinche" reads like an early draft that needs to go through many, many revisions to be publishable. I'm afraid the translater can't be blamed for all that's wrong with this mess.
A Truly Execrable 'Novel'.......2006-12-01
Let me start this review by saying that I really wanted to like this book. I first read "Like Water For Chocolate" about 10 years ago, and agree with many that the book is a modern-day literary masterpiece. I sought out and bought "The Law of Love" when it was published, and came away from it rather disappointed... Somehow, Esquivel's socially insightful and cohesive prose in "Like Water For Chocolate" - arguably on a par with Jane Austen or Daphne du Maurier in capturing romantic sentiment without seeming treacly - had, in "The Law of Love", devolved into an adolescent pastiche of the worst that the sci-fi and romance genres have to offer.
To me, though, a 'three strikes and you're out' rule seems like a fair approach to an author. As such, I purchased "Malinche", hoping that Esquivel could still measure up to Isabel Allende and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, other authors whose works were firmly and powerfully grounded in the magical realism that Esquivel employed so well in "Like Water For Chocolate". But I couldn't even finish "Malinche". It was so mind-blowingly awful that I found myself getting angry. It confirmed something that I didn't want to believe - the artistry of "Like Water For Chocolate" was a complete fluke, and never again would Esquivel produce a comparable novel.
Save yourself the money, but most importantly, save yourself the heartbreaking disappointment - Esquivel really is a one-trick pony, and sadly, she should find herself a new career.
A fresh look at the conquest of Mexico.......2006-11-11
This lyrical novel permits you to see the conquest of the Aztecs by Cortes in a new light. The story is told by Mallinali, a native slave woman trained by her grandmother in ancient wisdom. Through her eyes you understand why Cortes was believed to be the returned god Quetzalcoatl, coming to end Aztec domination and cruelty, especially human sacrifices. Nicknamed Malinche, Mallinali became Cortes' translator and mistress. Entering her inner dialogue, we experience her doubts once she comes to know Cortes, as well as her ambitions to better her lot in life. The story plumbs the riches of this unusual woman's spirituality and philosophy, while highlighting the world-shattering changes made by the conquistadors in the life of the indiginous peoples of Mexico
don't waste your time.......2006-11-05
After reading Like Water for Chocolate, I excitedly anticipated Laura Esquivel's new novel. I hope it was a poor translation, because otherwise, her editor should look for a new job.

A beautiful collection of stories.......2006-09-27
Reading Malinche's Children was a very humbling experience for me; I grew up in one of the "jewels" next to Carmelas, and attended Ramona School through 8th grade. In fact, I think the home my dad bought in 1955 might have been the very home that served as the development office mentioned in one of the stories. I didn't live in Carmelas, but I played there with friends, visited some of their homes, attended their birthday parties, fell for their sisters, bought candy at the Mexican Store, and even pulled a little red wagon down those dusty streets selling newspapers on Sunday morning when I was five years old.
And still, I knew very little about their history, and their beliefs. Daniel Houston-Davila is a wonderful writer, and I thank him for each and every jewel he has written for this collection.
A strong & emotional tale.......2004-09-28
This is the sort of book whose characters you miss when you put it down. I found myself many months later thinking of people I'd met in this book and wondering about them. Houston-Davila has the gift of the well-turned phrase... the book doesn't feel so much "written" as it does "lived". The path of this book was obviously chosen by the characters themselves and not the author-- but it's the author makes them come alive on the page with such passion. An excellent read. I should be so lucky to find another book as engaging anytime soon.
A Wonderful New Voice in Chicano Literature.......2004-02-02
Daniel Houston-Davila's "Malinche's Children" heralds the introduction of a wonderful new voice in Chicano literature. Spanning a hundred years of love, hate, work and struggle in the Southern Californa barrio of Carmelas, Houston-Davila paints in vivid colors the lives of people he certainly knows well. His language is muscular, poetic and vibrant. "Malinche's Children" marks the beginning of what I hope to be a long, productive writing life for Houston-Davila.
Expect a Lot.......2003-07-19
Yes, this book is a warmly written and detailed chronicle of Mexican Americans in southern California. But it is more: a richly imagined and compassionate exploration of human aspiration. Houston-Davila's characters want what all of us want: love, home, a sense of meaning. Seeking these things in a transplanted, impoverished environment, the odds would seem stacked against them.
But they succeed. Again and again, with humorous, bold and poignant leaps of faith. This book is a rare treat: enjoyable, yet good for you. It nourishes the soul, expands compassion and understanding of what it means to be human.
The author has a rare ability to paint characters who are in a profound sense innocent, yet never insipid. He helps us see, through them, what really matters.
While appreciating the author's unique insights into the culture and times of its characters, don't miss its deeper truths.
Expect a lot from this book. You won't be disappointed.

The 12th volume of the Legion of Super-Heroes' DC Archives series finds the 30th-century team still in a period of transition after being resurrected in the back pages of Superboy. Issues 213-223 of Superboy pit the Legion against some arch foes (the Time Trapper, a regrettably touchy-feely Fatal Five) as well as other random bad guys who only stand a chance against this mob of heroes by somehow turning their powers against them. The stories (usually a longer story balanced by a shorter "character" story focusing on a Legionnaire or two) are rather minor even despite the return of LSH legendary writer Jim Shooter, but a couple of the highlights are "The Charge of the Doomed Legionnaires," in which Braniac 5 tries to outwit a Khund general, and "The Trillion-Dollar Trophies," featuring Grimbor and the irresistible Charma. Mike Grell gets to show off his flashy artwork through the beauty of Charma and of a strange woman Superboy rescues from the path of a magnetic train. Also in this period was the introduction of Tyroc and the launch of Karate Kid's short-lived (15 issues) solo series, the first issue of which is included in this volume. --David Horiuchi

Customer Reviews:
Great Legion Collection.......2006-08-13
Some of the best Shooter stories during this period, with some excellent artwork by Mike Grell. I wish they would have included the very last issue of Grell's run (#224), Shooter's second Stargrave story and setup for a great character plot for Brainiac 5, that ended on a sour note when another writer took over in the middle of the multi-part storyline, for shame. However, this archive ends with #223, Jim Shooter's intro of Pulsar Stargrave. Both the Cary Bates and Jim Shooter stories are better than generally given credit for, particularly for this transitional time in all comic book stories, between self contained character oriented plots and latter day multi-part epics. I especially enjoyed the inclusion of Karate Kid #1 by Paul Levitz who would go on to become one the best Legion writers later. The extra cover galleries including the Tabloid size Grell cover for the Mordru reprint were nice to have. All in all an excellent volume of this archive series to have.
Does DC plan to release any more Volumes in this series.???.......2006-04-13
It's been 3 years! Any more coming out?????
Still a transition time for the Legion.......2005-05-06
Volume 12 of the Legion's DC Archives series includes Superboy 213-223 plus the first issue of Karate Kid's solo series. There are some good stories in here like Grimbor and Charma plus the introduction of Tyroc, but in general it's minor stuff. I hope they resume the LSH's archives series because the title soon picked up quite a bit with the Earthwar sequence among others. Another redeeming point about this period is the art of Mike Grell. Speaking of Grell, how about releasing his excellent Warlord series in a high-quality Archives edition?

The ONLY college textbook that I STILL READ!.......2006-04-26
After being given the assignment(s) to read and execute the assigned problem sets in WITH GOOD REASON, I decided that this text ALONE was worth all of the thousands upon thousands of dollars I spent on my college education. It changed my life! No longer did I flounder trying to support my 'intuitive' ideas about life, I was now armed (and considerably more dangerous -- ie: effective) with the tools of discernment, brilliantly illuminated by Dr. Engel.
THANK YOU Dr. Engel!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, ad infinum!
My degree work in math, physics, and fine art, paled in their importance to what I learned from Dr.Engel's succinct discourse of informal fallacies. I finished in 1989 and as the tag line stated, I still read and proseletyze from this book-- in fact, I am writing and producing a radio show on informal fallacies based upon WITH GOOD REASON. The show is slated as THINK AGAIN! and will premiere within the next 3 months on RBNLive.com. (today is 4/25/86 ).
I am replacing my well worn, weathered, rubber-banded copy of WITH GOOD REASON with a brand spanking new copy... I encourage EVERYONE to read this book, and more importantly, lobby all school boards to make this book a mandatory course prior to graduating from high school-- yes-- HIGH SCHOOL! Our children need this book.
**If anyone out there in the internet ether knows how to contact Dr.Engel, please contact me, Barbara, at RBN (800)313-9443. Thank you!
BUY IT! (And donate as many as possible to the school districts in your area!!) This is serious business- no one is teaching kids how to think or discern "what is reasonable and what is not".
A good intro book.......2004-05-03
Engel begins this book with a general discussion about what logic and argument are/aren't, and about how language impacts the manner in which arguments are formed and understood. He then delves into the informal fallacies, which he divides into three categories: (1) fallacies of ambiguity, which seem to be more misuse/abuse of language than actual fallacies of logic; (2) fallacies of presumption (e.g., hasty generalization, begging the question, slippery slope); and (3) fallacies of relevance (e.g., ad hominem, appeal to authority).
The explanations use clear, simple language that would be appropriate for high-school reading levels and above. As a graduate student, I found this to be an easy but engaging read.
I have two complaints about the book. First, Engel uses many examples from the real world--which is good--but the fallacies in these examples tend to be too obvious. It would be good to start out with obviously fallacious arguments and then move onto more subtle/complicated examples. Second, there are exercises at the end of each chapter where the reader can put his/her new knowledge to work, but answers are given for only a few of the questions in these exercises, which was frustrating.
In summary, this is a good, easily-read introduction to logic. It both prepares and encourages the reader to continue studying logical fallacies, but don't expect to be an expert at identifying fallacies when you're done with this book.
The best book about good vs. unfair rhetoric I've seen........1999-10-08
I collect books about fallacies. With Good Reason is definitely the best of the 32 such books I've accumulated so far. His explanations are very clear, and he covers important subject matter ignored by other authors, such as fallacies caused by vagueness and ambiguity.

Happy with purchase.......2007-02-17
I tried the recipe for Curried Red Lentil Soup before purchasing the book after having found it on the internet, and it is absolutely fabulous. So I decided to order the book based on that and the other reviews it has gotten. I haven't made any other of the recipes yet, but I see many that sound wonderful and look forward to trying them.
Great vegan soup recipes.......2007-02-14
I have been making a lot of soup as a way to eat healthier and lighter, and this book has been great. I like how it is organized into the four seasons to encourage us to eat seasonally-available foods. I have made about six or seven of the soups, and I would say that the majority of them were quite good. This inexpensive book seems like a great gift for vegetarians/vegans to give to their friends (even omnivores), as this collection of soups will appeal to anyone.

helpful because it is organized by season. lighter soups in the warmer months, more hearty soups for the colder weather.

I was given a copy of Pasta for All Seasons just in time for a December trip to Tuscany, where my wife's mother has been living. I don't cook a lot but I risked all in this land of pasta expertise by preparing several pasta meals from Pasta for All Seasons. The smacking lips, toasts to the chef, and endlessly enthusiastic reviews from those in attendance told me I was really on to something. Pasta for All Seasons is a real find!

Customer Reviews:
Best Salad Book you can have.......2007-09-12
This is truly a wonderful salad book - will make you famous for your dressings and salads. Not one bad recipie and easy to follow with few ingredients. I buy it for my friends and family too.
Makes healthy eating fun.......2007-07-29
As a perpetual dieter I need to eat vegetables, a lot. I'd become very sick of salad and making them when I came across this book in my library. My entire family loved the couple of recipes I tried, and I was happy because everything tasted very good, so I bought the book. There is a great variety of salad types from potato and pasta to leafy and everything in between. The book is organized by season but don't be afraid to explore outside the current season, since different regions have different growing seasons, and grocery stores often (not always) have good produce out of season.
Love this book!.......2007-06-08
Thanks for getting this book to me quickly and in perfect condition! What an excellent book - full of great salad ideas that don't have complex ingredients!
A must for salad lovers.......2007-02-11
I love salads but get a little bored with them. This is an amazing cook book because the salad recipies are unique and delicious.
This book reflects the love of gardening of Brother Victor-Antoine. Recipies are divided into seasons so that you can cull from your own garden or easily find the ingredients you'll need at the right time of the year.
You'll love Brother Victor and his ingenuous receipies. It's great getting cooking advice from a monk!
Recommended for Economical Variety and Simplicity.......2004-07-07
This is the tenth cookbook by Benedictine Monk Brother Victor-Antoine D'Avila-Latourrette and the fifth that is organized to reflect recipes by season or by other milestones in the course of the year. The recipes also tend to reflect the diet of a Benedictine monastery in upstate New York, which means there is very little protein in the dishes aside from legumes, cheese, eggs, and canned fish.
The simple monastic calling does not keep Brother Victor from being a bit trendy in his choice of recipes and greens. In his catalogue of nineteen salad greens, he includes Mesclun, Belgian endive, mache, radicchio, and watercress. And, although he includes iceberg lettuce, he doesn't really like it and confesses that when they have it, the brothers feed it to their chickens.
The list of greens is followed by a `Useful tips for Salad Preparation', which are, indeed, useful, albeit, short. A much more interesting section on `Types of Salads' follows, which lists the eleven types of salad recipes listed in this book. After reading the recipes, one really wishes the author had built his chapters on these eleven types rather than the truly artificial use of months of the year. The salad types are classic international salads; rustic salads; exotic salads; creative salads; mixed salads; pasta salads; egg, cheese and fish salads; Italian salads; French regional salads; Saint's salads; and fruit salads. It is obvious that these categories are artificial and overlap in the extreme, but they are still more useful for finding a salad to fit a particular occasion than the artificial organization by month.
The organization of recipes by month is not entirely arbitrary, as fall and winter salads do contain a higher proportion of apples, pears, potatoes, and citrus than do summer salads. And, my `Field Guide to Produce' does say that greens such as arugula, chicory, and endive are available the year around. But, I wonder when I see tomatoes or new potatoes in recipes for February. If I were rating the book exclusively on the accuracy of its seasonality, I might give it only a B-. Luckily, there is much more of value to the book.
As you can see from the types of salads, the book contains many classic salad recipe names such as Caesar salad, Waldorf salad, and Salade Nantaise. While the names are classic, I believe many of the recipes take some liberties with the classic ingredients. Brother Victor's Caesar salad, for example, is based on Boston lettuce rather than being done entirely with the much more commonly specified Romaine lettuce, as recommended by such diverse sources as James Beard, Martha Stewart, and `Better Homes and Gardens'. All three sources also include anchovies, which Brother Victor leaves out. Brother Victor also leaves out Worcestershire sauce and egg yolk, specified by two out of my three authorities. In its place, Brother Victor adds Tabasco sauce. Brother Victor also adds blue cheese, which none of my sources specify. None of this is to suggest that this recipe is not perfectly delicious. It is only to indicate that one should not expect recipes with classic names to be described with the classic ingredients or method of preparation.
In fact, I found practically every recipe to be inviting, easy to make, and relatively inexpensive. I especially liked the generous selection of potato salads. From the index, I count nineteen (19), almost all with very traditional sounding names or sources. I do find it odd, though, that in all of these recipes, the author suggests peeling the potatoes before boiling. Virtually every potato salad recipe I have ever seen, including those from James Beard AND Julia Child recommend cooking before peeling. I am convinced this is not simply everyone copying everyone else. Rather, I believe peeling after cooking will prevent the potatoes from becoming overly mushy and waterlogged. I have even made potato salad with Russets cooked before peeling, and they peeled, sliced, and mixed with the dressing without mushing up on me.
The book ends with a chapter on standard dressings such as mayonnaise, aioli, blue cheese dressing, and vinaigrettes. The author succeeds in springing a new mayonnaise technique on me. I have seen recipes done with a whisk, a food processor, and a blender. This is the first use I have seen of a hand mixer, although on reflection, it seems as much or more logical than the food processor or blender.
There is not much to the book aside from the recipes, but the added inspirational quotes scattered here and there in attractive iconed boxes lends a very pleasant air to reading this book. It may not seem like much unless you have just finished reading a book with a truly slobbish book design.
By far the greatest strength of the book is the variety of greens, cheeses, fruits, beans, vegetables, vinegars, and nuts used in constructing these recipes, without relying on anything which will break the bank. If you need recipes with chicken or fresh seafood, check out a good book of Provencal recipes.
Highly recommended for simplicity, variety, and saintly demeanor.

Customer Reviews:
Reviewer that called this book "an abomination" is a total loser!.......2005-08-29
I haven't yet made anything from the book, but as an experienced cook myself, I can read a recipe and know pretty much whether I will like it or not. I might make a mistake once in a while, but it's very unlikely that anyone who calls themself "a skilled and experienced" cook would choose as many as six recipes and not be able to tell they would be "vile" once made. I'm all for honest reviewing, and if you don't like a book, so be it, but this review was unnecessarily harsh and, in my judgment, probably the act of someone who has very little nice to say about anyone or anything.
Once I try some of the recipes, I'll try to report back on them. For now, I've just read through them, and there's hardly one that doesn't sound interesting to me. On that basis alone, I feel justified on giving the book 5 stars, since I can't say that about most non-dessert cookbooks!
An abomination.......2004-05-10
Sorry to disagree with the other reviewers, but this is the worst cookbook I have ever bought. I am a skilled and experienced vegetarian cook, and recipes in this book are perversely, malignantly vile. There will always be recipes we don't like in any cookbook, but I tried half a dozen soups in this book and they were just wretched. After the last one I just threw the book in the recycling bin. Back to Moosewood!
Inspired one-dish meals.......2003-02-03
For me, the one thing that matters about a cookbook is: is it *inspired* or not? The ones that are not may have one to a few usable recipes, almost by accident, but the majority are either based on stale ideas, or they are too heavy, due to their use of meat, fat, sugar, or other such ingredients.
This book far surpassed my expectations. The recipes are original, hearty, satisfying - and low-fat. One of these soups with some bread and cheese makes for a simple and delicious weekday meal.
Most of the soups we've tried from this book have come out very well. We got off to a good start with Garlicky Cream of Celery Soup (p. 39). Examples of other successes: Cream of White Vegetables (p. 15; this worked fine with Chinese white radish/daikon; turnip is unavailable in Taiwan) - very smooth, soothing and flavorful; Gingered Pumpkin-Apple Soup (p. 25) - I'm not sure I'll put the apple in next time, but we all enjoyed the complex flavors of this one; Cream of Broccoli Soup with Whole Wheat Pasta (p. 96) also wasn't bad, even with plain macaroni shells. The Moroccan-Style Vegetable Stew (p. 26), with pumpkin, chickpeas and couscous, was very unusual and quite tasty. I was less impressed with the Tomato-Rice Soup with Snow Peas (p. 93) - this ended up something like Campbell's tomato rice, but then but I did make some substitutions, like white rice for brown. And I probably should have let the Curried Cauliflower-Cheese Soup (p. 84) thicken more before serving. You can skip the Sauerkraut Soup (p. 36) - this was edible, but didn't much appeal to any of us; too heavy on the sweet and sour, and not very satisfying. Still, I'm very gung ho about continuing to try out the other recipes. Well over half the recipes look doable to me in our environment, and that's a remarkably high ratio. I have found no other soup cookbook that can compare with this one. The recipes that work - and that has been most of them so far - are excellent, and just our style.
The book not only gives individual recipes but in fact teaches a *method* for making good vegetarian soups, i.e. pureeing cooked vegetables for a thick and hearty but not too rich base. Organizing the recipes by the seasons makes it easier to find a soup suited to the weather.
P. 27 has a recipe for 'Squash and Corn Chower', but that's the only typo I've spotted. The pencil drawings and quotes are quite charming. I haven't yet tried the bread and other 'accompaniments' recipes in the back, but they look intriguing.
In short: if you like soup but not meat, and are looking for ideas for simple but very good meals on the light side, this book is an outstanding choice.
Great soup book!.......2002-08-11
I'm a huge soup fan - not sure why but I just love it. So, this book hit the spot for me. I love cooking with vegetables that are in season and this book makes it so easy - this time of year (summer) when I can go to the farmer's markets to get really fresh foods it's just that much better. I just flip to that section of the book and can easily make my shopping list not having to wonder well do I have to go to the supermarket to get that other ingredientt hat needs to be flown here from half way across the world? The recipes are sooo tasty and there's lots of variety. There are curried soups, cream based soups, hearty bean soups, and they cut across nationalities/ethnicities. You won't be disappointed with this one.
Delicious! Inexpensive! Quick! Satisfying! A great book........2002-07-09
I own about 35 vegetarian cookbooks, and decided to stop buying any more. However, finding a variety of good soups that I could center a meal around has never been easier once I gave in and purchased this book. I've so far prepared about fifteen recipes, and enjoyed each and every one, and plan to make them all again. This may be the one cookbook that I eventually prepare all of the recipes therein. A MUST HAVE cookbook...you won't regret the purchase. Your mouth, stomach, heart, and pocketbook will all thank you regularly for your wise decision!

A Feast For The Eyes.......2002-11-25
For so few books covering this vital tradition, this is a real keeper. It really is gorgeous and an important addition to any graphic arts library.
Excellent Overview of Polish Graphic Arts.......2000-01-28
I have both of Mr. Noyce's books covering Polish painting and graphic arts. They represent an excellent overview of current art in Poland. I lived in Poland for two years and purchased many pieces by artists represented in Noyce's books. The only flaw I found in this book is that there are so many additional artists who could have been included. I would have also liked to have seen more on the classical techniques the Polish artists are required to study during their educational training. Having collected similar art in the States, I strongly believe that Polish, Romanian, and Czech artists have better technique, training, and imagination.
It is wonderful to have these books accompanying my art collection.

Key To My Heart.......2001-12-02
The one and only regret of purchasing this book is that I should have purchase it the time when it first came out. If I'm ever given a chance I would have rated it 10 STARS **********. It's not that I do not know everything about Madge after years of being a fan(I believe I'm not just 'some' fan), but after reading this book it gives me a revision of insightful aspect of what she has been doing to the(my) world and the kind of impact that she has had on me. All in all, it's an eye-opener only that it opens up my heart as well. (...)
Great Pictures.......2001-06-11

You have my personal guaruntee! And I have to plug Michael's other book of 80's trivia: The Totally Awesome 80s TV Trivia Book. Another GREAT book full of GREAT info!
MadonnaRama!.......2002-02-12
Being an ardent fan of Madonna, I had to purchase this book. I'm not disappointed. It's a fun book full of facts that any and all die hard Madonna fans SHOULD know. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves and respects Madonna. Buy this book along with Matthew Rettenmund's ENCYCLOPEDIA MADONNICA and you will know truly everything there is to know about Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone.
