Book Description
“A perfectly balanced novel of love and tragedy.”
---Waterstone’s Books Quarterly (UK)
In present-day Boston, seventy-year-old Alexander Ivanov has built a successful business empire. A kind, passionate man, he has managed to bury the tragic memories surrounding his early life in post-Stalinist Russia with his charismatic late wife, Katya---or so he believes.
Into his life come two women: one will open up the heart Alexander has protected for so long; the other is determined to uncover the truth about what really happened to Katya all those years ago.
Despite the Falling Snow journeys back to the snowbound streets of 1950s Moscow, revealing a city of secrets and treachery, a world of true love lost and friendships betrayed. For only by confronting the past can Alexander move on to his future.
“At its core an unforgettable love story. Yet it is also a political novel of the highest order. Sarif understands, as Arthur Koestler did, the human cost exacted by totalitarian systems. And like Graham Greene, she knows that the worst betrayals are those committed by the ones we love. Her novel is immensely powerful---and deeply moving.
---Steve Yarbrough, author of Prisoners of War and Visible Spirits
“Explores love and tragic loss with the pace of a thriller and a style that is gentle and flowing, a hypnotic combination that eases between the United States and 1950s Moscow. . . . A pure delight, highly recommended.”
---The Bookseller (UK)
“An intriguing story of love, betrayal, anguish, and despair. . . . An enthralling read.”
---Daily Dispatch (UK)
:An engrossing story that moves effortlessly between present-day Boston and Soviet Russia, dealing with terrible emotional violence and passionate love.”
---Writing Magazine (UK)

The Haunted tank.......2007-08-23
The book brought back fun memories of when I read these stories years ago. I still enjoy the tales even though I relize now that taking out a german tiger tank with a stuart is impossible. It's really great to have the series in order in one book I never had that many of the originals. My only complaint is that there is no color just black and white.
The Little Tank that Could .......2007-07-16
An M-3 Stuart Tank taking on Germans in the middle of Africa- nothing seem even close to "fair" when I write that, picturing a 37mm gun platform taking on 88mm weapons, diver bombers, Nazi youth, and droves of other enemies as the G.I.'s attack the Reich. Still, the little tank has a secret that the Nazi's didn't count on; the long-dead Confederate General J.E.B. Stuart looks over tank and crew (Rich - the gunner, Arch - the assistant, and Jeb - the tank commander) as a protectorate that time really hasn't forgotten.
To be fair, some people won't like the stories because some of them may seem a little dull by today's standards. All in all they are propaganda stories from the 60's and you already have an idea of what is going to happen in a story made By Americans Fro Americans. You can also understand why this depiction of the "little tank that could" would be written if you look at the "when" it occurred, too, but beyond that it has a lot of things that I found appealing. First, Joe Kurbert and Russ Heath both worked on the art, and the two of them were some of the best when it came to war depictions. Second, the storyline is an odd one considering what you're reading. You have a small tank, an M-3, being protected by the ghost of a Confederate as they try to plow a foothold into the ranks of some entrenched Nazis. This leads to quite a few offerings in the ways of battle, quite a few depictions in the way of assailants, and it also showcases a drove of storylines that aren't just "tank v Reich." You even get the initial two comics that explains it all, telling you why the crew is being watched over in a war that costs so many their lives.
Personally, I thought that was a great thing to have because I had seen a lot of the G.I.Combat stories but never this one.
While I'm not going to list all the stories in the books, I'll add that the stories come from G.I.Combat #87 - G.I.Combat #119 AND that there are crossovers from Sgt. Rock, Johnny Cloud, and an appearance from Our Army At War. This means there are well over 500 pages of story added to the book and, for fans of the series or for fans of art that seems to have been place on the backburners of time, this is something worth having.
And, at the price, it is a good way to rekindle a love once harbored.
What an amazing Tank.......2007-03-08
I grew up on the Haunted Tank and Sgt. Rock comics in the late 70's and early 80's and I enjoyed reading the stories ,but looking through this collection of comics now I just realized how historically inaccurate they are..the writers could have at least did a bit of research on the types of tanks the Germans had.In the first story the so called "Tiger" is actually a "Panther" tank, and it seems that every tank the crew of the "Haunted Tank" came across was a "Tiger" tank..if the Germans had that many Tigers in Europe, they would have breezed through the Allies in no time..but wait..no..maybe not..the Allies had one lone M-3 Stuart tank that was practically invincible..The 37mm tank round would have bounced off of any Tiger tank, even at point blank range...too bad there was no "History Channel" back when these stories were being written. And of course there's the typical "Lets make the German soldiers a bunch of fanatical buffoons" stereotype...but these stories where made to entertain children, and not history buffs like me.Although it burns me up to see such historical farce, I still enjoyed going down memory lane and reading these stories,I'm looking forward to Volume Two and hopefully there will be a "Sgt. Rock" Showcase series
haunted tank the bore.......2007-01-11
i used to read this when i was a kid.it always seemed to much to beleave.know that i am older the stories make no sense.yet so far the m-3 has destoryed more tigers then the germans had.i like some of the ideas.yet reading it bores me i really don't think its worth the price.
it could be better.......2006-11-06
the book is ok but it is in black and white, looks like someone copyed it by pressing the comic book, and pushing the button. If it was in color it would be well worth the money.Like it is it's just a matter of if you have the spare cash.I am a little disapointed in it.

Great Eye CAndy, Little Information.......2006-05-11
This book is supposed to be a complete guide to the Toho Godzilla universe, but it hardly goes into enough depth to satisfy more serious fans. The writing style implicates that it was obviously written for younger fans. I myself got it as a present at a very young age (I think I was seven) and this book was my bible. The movie guides are somewhat indepth, each having a synopsis and some afterthoughts by the author. The afterthoughts cover the special effects and actors as well as short, always positive reviews. There are some other various features in the book, adn then in the back there is probably the greatest reason for one to buy this book: a complete guide to the monsters in each movie, with specific facts about their size and appearances with interesting illustrations. Pretty good eye candy, but the rest of the book is a little bland. Kids will love it.
A wonderful resource for fans of the Big G........2006-03-15
For some reason I can't understand, I've always enjoyed Godzilla movies because there was just something about a giant lizard fighting other large monsters as well as thwarting man in his effort to destroy what they can not control. I got this book because what amazed me was that it gave information on all of the Godzilla movies (at the time) which also included those that had never been released in the USA. It also detailed how the Godzilla suit has evolved through the years as well as a few articles of how you can use Godzilla as a parenting model, much to shaking head of my wife-to-be at the thought of having our future children behaving....improving their behavior on how to act like monsters.
You're right this time, it's the big fellow: the lizard king.......2004-05-28
First off, this book is appreciating at a better clip than the stock market: I picked up my copy four years ago for what I thought was the catastrophic sum of $35.00. How many of your investments have more than doubled in value over the last four years?
But that is the WORST reason to buy this book! Buy it because it is possibly the very best source book on Godzilla. Buy it because it's well put together, well-made, well-written and lavishly illustrated. Buy it because, well, because it's about Godzilla.
Sure, if you're reading this you probably ought, by general opinion, to have outgrown any childish fascination or affection for a guy in a rubber suit stomping a cardboard Tokyo. You probably shouldn't speed on the highway, ride fast motorcycles or make rude gestures at the television news people either and stop eating raviolis out of the can, would 'ya???
It's not the inner child or any of that psycho-nonsense that motivates you to a) keep reading this even if you know it's nuts and b) keep faith with the Maximum Lizard, his films, books and exploits. It's the 'enduring' child: the continuing ability to be delighted, to wonder and, quite frankly, enjoy watching major urban areas get trashed by something wilder than your average daydream but not nearly as scary as reality.
Unless your investments have been paying off nicely or you've been selling oil to the government, you might want to put this on your wish list and make nice with firends and relatives. Godzilla approves of social harmony in a sort of offhand, one-more-thing-to-stomp way.
The best informative book you can buy on Godzilla in the U.S.......2004-02-20
The compendium is absolutely THE reference book for fans in the U.S.! Although with the internet, many of us can access other books about Godzilla. But this one is one of the best out there on Godzilla! I must have for any fan of the series!
A feast for the eyes........2003-01-14
This official compendium of Godzilla adoration offers nothing that any serious or longtime fan of The Big G doesn't already know, but it DOES offer a huge amount of stills - something the superior unauthorized tomes do not. Although weakened by a lack of detail (not mentioned are the prickly facts of Toho's shrinking budgets, the overuse of stock footage, etc.) and glowing reviews of every single movie in the series without bothering to mention their individual shortcomings (although it is nice to read commentary on Godzilla versus Megalon that doesn't grind the doofy flick into the dirt) this book would be a welcome addition in any true fan's library, just based on the stills and artwork alone. Highly recommended.
Book Description
Popular perception of Jesus Christ is that of a tempered, genteel man who walked the earth, offering nuggets of wisdom to His followers. But what we sometimes fail to recognize is that although Jesus Christ offered a message of forgiveness, He also spoke challenging, demanding words about what being a follower of Christ requires.
In contrast to the superficiality of much modern Christian teaching, Dr. John MacArthur serves up the unvarnished truth of what Christ taught and lived. In simple, compelling terms, he spells out what is required of those who would follow Him. Going beyond Jesus' life to include the crucifixion and resurrection, MacArthur shows readers that Jesus modeled the commitment and loving obedience He requires of us by making the ultimate sacrifice for humankind.

Make Jesus Lord? Isn't He Lord Already?.......2007-07-15
To begin, I have enjoyed John MacArthur's preaching. I once used his Study Bible in the New King James Version as my "flagship" Bible. I have enjoyed nuggets from his teaching. And I also got a lot of good things out of this book. However, looking back, I do see a couple of things wrong.
First, the whole premise of this book is that the grace of God, provided on the cross, may have been free, but not cheap. He attacks so-called "prosperity preachers" and "seeker-sensitive" approaches like "The Purpose-Driven Life", equating them with those who lead people along the wide gate of destruction (Matthew 7:13-14). In fact, MacArthur's main argument is that only those who take up their crosses and follow Jesus are truly saved. This is called lordship salvation (in comparison with free grace, mocked as "easy-believeism", which teaches that the cost of our redemption from sin has been fully paid for on the cross).
While it is true that sinners should understand their need for the Savior--salvation from sins that lead them to hell--should we make the demand to "carry their cross" and follow Him? MacArthur says yes, but does salvation immediately result in discipleship? More likely than not, a few may understand. Remember, it is the "good" soil hearer who receives and understands the Word planted in his heart. Although the apostles followed Jesus for three years, they still did not understand the work of salvation until AFTER Jesus rose, ascended into heaven, and poured out the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. Only then did they understand, as the subtitle of the book goes, "the high cost and infinite joy of following Jesus".
Another question I might make is the degree of surrender required to be "saved" according to the lordship gospel. We might know about those "external sins" (adultery, sexual immorality, any addictions, etc.) that we need to repent of, but what about those that lie within (like lust, hateful and murderous thoughts, misplaced affections, etc.)? David prayed constantly to God to keep him from presumptuous sins and to cleanse him from hidden faults, and continually asked God to search his own heart for anything that kept him from God.
Also, does salvation depend on how "pure" we may make ourselves in God's sight? Aren't our own attempts at righteousness like filthy rags before Him? Lordship salvation advocates seem to tiptoe around the issue by answering that it is not a commitment that saves, but that Jesus alone saves. But you can't have it both ways: either Jesus (plus commitment) saves, or Jesus (alone) saves! If Jesus (plus commitment) is the answer, as MacArthur argues, then how much commitment is needed? And how can genuine believers know if we will fall away, since our minds cannot fathom what even tomorrow brings!
The book may also make genuine believers doubt their own salvation. While believers should examine themselves, they should do so out of pleasing their Heavenly Father. That is what David prayed (see above paragraph) in Psalms 19 and 139. He pursued God with all his heart, knowing the price he would pay, even when he sinned against God. But did he rely on his commitment to God to forgive his wickedness? No, he relied on his God and relied totally on Him--not his own commitment to God--to have his sins cleansed (see Psalms 51).
The premise MacArthur makes also comes from his own Calvinist theology. Christians for centuries after the deaths of Calvin and Arminius have argued over the role of God's sovereign grace and man's free will in his obligation to repent and believe in the gospel. I won't go into detail over this point of contention, but it seems that most of the lordship advocates are of the Calvinist persuasion. However, one thing is true: it takes a lot of grace to redeem a person's heart, and that is truly a work of God. Yet it must be a willing heart who receives Him.
In closing, I would like to make the following point: salvation is free, totally free! But discipleship, seeking after Jesus and following Him, has a cost. MacArthur makes great points, but it is obfuscated in the details.
Dr. MacArthur Speaks the Truth in Love. A Must Read!.......2007-07-01
Dr. MacArthur has authored perhaps the most important Christian polemic of our time.
Hard to Believe is a loving, yet uncompromising answer to Christianity-Lite- the "seeker-friendly gospel." The roots of this "new gospel (it should not be called gospel because gospel means "good news" and the new gospel is not good news, but rather bad as it will send you to hell)can be traced back to Robert Schuller's call for "a new reformation;" one that focuses on "self-esteem," has been propagated by the likes of Joel Osteen, Bill Hybels, Rick Warren, et. al.- a doctrine of man-centeredness and the fulfillment of "felt needs," and "self-esteem," as opposed to repentance and turning from sin to be servants/prisoners/slaves to Jesus Christ.
The most important question the book asks is how do people like Warren, Osteen, et. al. (without mentioning them by name)answer Jesus' call to discipleship "If any man follow me he will deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow me?" How to they reconcile their beliefs with the teachings of Jesus which state that if you do not "hate" your mother, brother, father, et. al. and even yourself, you cannot be His disciple? How do they explain that what Jesus taught was an offense and a stumbling block to the worshippers of Jehovah in that day. Remember--Jesus was not dealing with pagans, goths, heathens, idol-worshippers and the like. He was dealing with the establishment religon of that day that claimed Moses and Abraham as their "fathers." Jesus told THESE people that Satan was their father. How does the "Christianity-Lite" preachers, like Warren, Osteen, Robert Schuller, reconcile the teachings of the Gospels with their presentation? This book will force you to take a cold, hard, spiritual look at this.
If you are honest, you will see that what Jesus teaches in the Four Gospels is mutually exclusive with what Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, and many like them teach. There is literally no resemblance. Did not Paul say in Galatians 1:8-9 that if even an "angel from heaven" brought a teaching that was contrary to his, let him be "accursed." Paul preached/teached/and lived the crucified life of Jesus Christ, and enjoined us through 13 letters in the New Testament to dod the same. Where do Warren, et. al get that they can bypass the Bible?
Sadly, the people to whom this book is intended will never read a work like this from cover to cover. Eschewing "the Gospel according to Jesus" as one that is based on "works" and "law," because Dr. MacArthur exegetes rather forcefully (as does Jesus and the apostle James0, that "faith without works is dead," followers of Osteen, et. al. prefer a doctrine that coddles them in their sin, rather than crucifies the "old man" on the Cross with Jesus.
I have to admit that I have not read this book fully yet. Before you give me a negative rating, please allow me this explanation. I got about 75% through the book when it dawned on me; the message of this book is so important that I must take my time and go through this book, along with my Bible, page by page---and in prayer. Although I do not subscribe to the watered-down version of Christianity that is so popular, this does not preclude me from having to examine myself to see if I am in the faith.
Dr. MacArthur did not write this book to be used "against" people, but rather to point all to The Way--Jesus Christ. I am convinced he is not writing books like this to be contrary for contrary's sake, but is doing so out of a holy zeal because we are in the last, closing moments of time when the gospel will be taken from the Gentiles and given to the Jews. We are in the season of "the marriage of the Lamb as come and His wife has made herself ready...let him that is filthy be filthy still, let him that is holy be holy still, and let him that is righteous be righteous still. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus." AMEN!
If anyone be a disciple, you must deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Him. That message has not changed in over 2000 years. This is the object lesson of this book; a call to "earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints," because "certain men have crept in unawares and have turned the grace of God into laciviousness."
A Look At Why True Christianity Will Never Be Popular.......2007-05-14
Christianity is great news. It tells how Jesus took care of our sin on the cross and that we can have eternal life. Isn't that wonderful? Wouldn't everyone want to receive the free gift?
In reality, on a minority will, which is the theme of this book. It states that true Christianity is really offensive, both in its original setting during the days of the apostles and in our current time.
This book is useful in helping us understand why so many reject the gospel. The one thing I disagree with is MacArthur's view of election, which is more Calvinistic than myself.
a must read.......2007-05-12
The most important book, next to scripture, that I've read to date.
The hard truth.......2007-02-13
Wonderful book...we are called to stand firm in a God-centered faith in the midst of a self-centered world.

From the supplier: The client/server configuration consists of a new value system which is based on computing speed and low cost. However, client/server can be misused and misunderstood. Before a CEO decides on converting to a client/server technology, he must consider the needs of the business first and the needs of the information system second. Client/server technology is not necessarily cheaper or better. Several industries have joined the client/server movement but have proven that it does not save money in the short term. A CEO should not make decisions on adopting new technology while worrying about profit margins and market shares. Technology decisions should be dictated by business decisions. CEOs should implement client/server only as a support for business process functions and not because he wants to cut costs.

Book Description
In this engrossing book, Hollis Clayson provides the first description and analysis of French artistic interest in women prostitutes, examining how the subject was treated in the art of the 1870s and 1880s by such avant-garde painters as Cezanne, Degas, Manet, and Renoir, as well as by the
academic and low-brow painters who were their contemporaries.
Clayson not only illuminates the imagery of prostitution-with its contradictory connotations of disgust and fascination-but also tackles the issues and problems relevant to women and men in a patriarchal society. She discusses the conspicuous sexual commerce during this era and the resulting public
panic about the deterioration of social life and civilized mores. She describes the system that evolved out of regulating prostitutes and the subsequent rise of clandestine prostitutes who escaped police regulation and who were condemned both for blurring social boundaries and for spreading sexual
licentiousness among their moral and social superiors. Clayson argues that the subject of covert prostitution was especially attractive to vanguard painters because it exemplified the commercialization and the ambiguity of modern life.
This is a reprint of the book first published by Yale University Press in 1991.

Highly Scholarly.......2000-05-25
I might not have purchased this book if it hadn't been included in a selection of bargain books from Yale University Press. The Acknowledgments on p. xv includes a comment on "My dissertation research in Paris." My use of the term "modern" in my reviews conforms to the sense which I observe on page 79 of this book. A cartoon at the top of the page, called "M. Manet studying beautiful nature," dated April 25, 1880, is followed by an explanation which "connects the extremity of exposed breasts to vulgarity and ugliness . . . by mocking any connection between this toilette and decorous feminine beauty." The painting which is then discussed, Henri Gervex's "Rolla," was abruptly removed from the Salon of 1878 for impropriety, but was exhibited by a private dealer for three months. Consideration of that painting in this book begins with "Another instance of a painting that displays female sexuality as something of a threat, and that locates this threat specifically in the realm of modern fashion." (p. 79) The painting was based on a poem by Alfred de Musset about a son of the bourgeoisie who squandered his fortune and committed suicide at the age of nineteen. The details of the painting are discussed to such an extent that minor elements of the picture become a great danger. "Indeed the lack of restraint that Gervex showed in placing the cain in the still life points to the vulnerability of the genre of the nude, to the ways in which the nude was almost always a strained synthesis of opposing forces, perpetually in danger of slipping out of equilibrium as a consequence of even the smallest push in the direction of deviance." (p.88) The discussion of that painting concludes with "Rolla drowned in the rising tide of sexual vice. The woman was the culprit, and Rolla her victim." (p. 93) Chapter Four's topic is "Suspicious Professions" and features pictures of working women, the intrigue being tied closely to the question, what makes them so cute?

Their rites of passage are familiar, classically adolescent, and as we follow Dawson, Pacey, Jen, and Joey through their exciting years we learn that life has everything to do with misbehaving. Covered in They Don't Wanna Wait are the stars: a compelling, captivating, talented bunch who leave the set each day, shaking their heads, marveling at the emotional and intellectual accuracy of the scenes they play. Revealed is what makes the show a nearly sacred experience for its participants and much Dawson Leary has in common with his creator, Kevin Williamson.
Customer Reviews:
Actually there is more analysis than gossip in this book.......2003-07-27
"They Don't Wanna Wait: The Stars of Dawson's Creek" came out after the first two seasons of the recently departed signature show of the WB network. The title, of course, is inspired by the Paula Cole song that served as the theme song for the series and while this book clearly uses the young stars of the show a selling point, it actually provides a lot more insights into the series than you would expect. The first two seasons takes us through the Pacey and Ms. Jacobs, Jen and Dawson, Dawson and Joey, Joey and Jack, Pacey and Andie stages of the series. Authors Kathe Tibbs and Biff L. Peterson offer up standard cast bios of the six principles (the youngsters, not Dawson's parents or Grams), covering how each got involved in acting and was hired for the show, along with various movies in which they had appeared by that point in their careers.
However, despite the fact that "They Don't Wanna Wait" offers up the stars of "Dawson's Creek" as its selling point, these profiles are the second smallest part of the book. The second chapter is devoted to rather a detailed look at the Hollywood writing career creator of "Dawson's Creek," Kevin Williamson. "The Importance of Being Earnest," the third chapter, consists of a pair of critical essays. The first looks at "TV Teens in the 1990s," making the case for how the idyllic teen world of John Hughes films gave way to the demographic spurred youth boom of "My So-Called Life," "Party of Five," "Dawson's Creek," and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." The second, "Up the Creek: The 'Dawson's' Formula," refutes the dismissal of the series as simply a teenage version of "Melrose Place" ("Payton Place" is you are my age).
The final section of the book is an Episode Guide covering the episodes from the first two seasons. For each Tibbs and Peterson provide the title, writer, director, original airdate, and list of guest stars (Note: Williamson originally used movie titles as the titles for first season episodes but had to change them because of copyright problems; both titles are provided here). They do not simply provide a synopsis of the storyline for each episode, but a running commentary and analysis of what is happening (e.g., arguing Joey is the show's voyeur) that will make these sections of considerably more interest to those who have seen the show rather than the neophyte. When the authors claim that Episode 8, "Road Trip" is to Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream" the way "Clueless" is to Jane Austen's "Emma," you have to admit that Tibbs and Peterson are going for more that mere summaries.
Most of the information provided about the cast and creator of "Dawson's Creek" is apparently culled from secondary sources, and each of the first three chapters concludes with a list of references. If Tibbs and Peterson ever actually interviewed Williamson or anybody else associated with the show there is no way of knowing from what is in this book (unless I missed something). I bring this up only because if this is indeed cobbled together completely from other sources you cannot find the seams. Besides, there is more than enough originality in the insights and analysis they provide in the last second chapters of the book. Those who pick up this book because they want to know more about what "Greek God" James Van Der Beek was like growing up or want another color photograph of Katie Holmes or Michelle Williams might be disappointed that the authors move on to more substantive issues than how Meredith Monroe got this acting gig, but I was pretty impressed they went for so much more in this volume. The only serious complaint is that "They Don't Wanna Wait" does not even get the gang out of Capeside High School.
Wow! This Book Is Totally Awesome!.......1999-12-10
It was so cool to read all the interesting background information on James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams! And I never knew that Kevin Williamson was really gay--he really is! Know I know why Dawson stands alone in the boat like that--he's a truth-seeker in an ocean of lies! This book tells you all the facts about the most important television show ever filmed. Yeah!
Book Description
Since its debut on Tuesday, January 20, 1998, Dawson's Creek has become the most talked-about new show on television. Dawson's Creek has taken America by storm.
In its first four weeks on the air, the show received a 5.2 Nielsen rating, reaching more than five million homes. According to the ratings, Dawson's Creek is the number one show among girls twelve to seventeen and number four among teens overall. It is currently the WB's highest-rated show, ahead of the popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which is Dawson's lead-in on Tuesday night.
What are the secret ingredients that make Dawson's Creek stand out? Why has it become a hit in such a short time? Perhaps the appeal of Dawson's Creek can be summed up by Kevin Williamson, the show's creator-producer, who is also famous as the writer behind Scream and Scream 2. He says, "I think it's [the show is] truthful. There's nothing preachy about it. The moment anyone says anything that sounds like a message, the characters discard it. They go, 'So what did we learn from this 90210 moment?'"
That may be one of the attractions, but the main reason for tuning in is to catch up with the show's four gorgeous headliners. Almost overnight, Dawson's Creek has transformed a quartet of relatively anonymous young actors into stars. James Van Der Beek (Dawson Leery), Joshua Jackson (Pacey Witter), Michelle Williams (Jennifer Lindley), and Katie Holmes (Joey Potter) have slipped into their roles with such ease and style that it seems as if they were born to play them. Their chemistry is explosive, their timing is terrific, and their appeal is sensational.
Just one month after the show's debut, these four fresh faces began gracing the covers of magazines like Seventeen, YM, and Teen. TV Guide dedicated a separate collectible cover to each of the hot young stars--and the magazines flew off the shelves. Fans of the show have now become fans of its stars. They can't get enough of this fab foursome!
It seems as if everyone is asking the same questions. Who are these young actors? Where did they come from? What are they really like? This book covers the very private lives of TV's hottest four new stars--so sit back and enjoy!

This book was a good start........1998-10-13
This book had much of the same info. we see everyday on web pages or articles. It had a few pictures in the middle that I have seen before. This book tells all about the real life of the characters. If you don't know much about the real life Dawson's Creek members, then this would be good for you.
No New Info.......1998-08-24
Any DC fan knows all this already. But it was decent. I do recommend it though, if you are DC clueless. Nice pictures.

IT"S AWESOME.......1999-08-13
Every book i have ever read about the stars of Dawson's Creek or even just biographies i love to read anything on the stars or just things that they are in
Hil is DA BOMB!.......1999-01-15
Calling Hilary Rice by such a nickname may seem to indicate familiarity but the fact is that after reading this incredible book, I feel as if I know Ms. Rice as personally as I would know, say, my best friend. As a big Dawson's Creek fan, I must say that Ms. Rice does the show, the characters, and the actors, a great service. If there is one book that will make people appreciate this wonderful show, it would be this one. And I would hesitate to call anyone a fan who has not purchased this book. Ms. Rice's wonderful appreciation for the show, and delightful sense of humor make this book a joy to read. I would read it again and again, if I did not have classes to attend.
I like all the color pictures!.......1999-01-05
I'm 8, and I am allowed to watch Dawson's Creek with my older sisters. I enjoyed all 8 pages of the color pictures, and I learned a lot of cool stuff about all the stars. I got the book for Christmas and I really really liked it!!!
A cool book filled with interesting info........1999-01-05
I'm thirteen years old and I have been watching Dawson's Creek since it started. I thought this book gave tons of information about the show, what was going on in it, and all about the people who star as the main characters. This book would be great for people who want to learn more about Dawson's Creek because it is filled with so much information. I love it! :)
