“NEVER TRUST ANYONE UNDER SEVENTY-FIVE!”
That’s the motto of the Gladdy Gold Detective Agency. Don’t laugh: having solved a case of serial murder, Gladdy and her eccentric neighbors are building their reputation between canasta games and pool exercises–hunting down everything from lost pocketbooks to missing octogenarians. And when a jealous woman sets them after her wayward husband, and a flasher strikes their retirement complex, two seemingly unrelated cases collide with a third: a series of dastardly murders targeting Florida’s wealthiest wives.
But when the girls win tickets for a luxury bingo cruise, they hit the jackpot. Because this ship is carrying not only Florida’s fiercest bingo competitors but also a killer–and it’s up to Gladdy and her friends to stop him before one of them becomes his next victim….

Mature? detectives.......2007-08-20
I have now read three Gladdy Gold books, and I have like them all. I hope Rita Lakin keeps on with this series. The protagonists live in a middle class retiremnt condominium complex in Florida. Her friends, for entertainment purposes, are caricatures of people we know. Lakin puts a character list at the beginning, which I always like in a book, as I am close to the age of her characters and could use a memory boost myself.
The covers of the books (I admit, not particularly relevant to content) unfortunately show a slim gray haired woman with a preppy haircut. The characters in this book are not preppy.
Another fun Gladdy book!.......2006-11-14
Rita Lakin delivers again. This book is a fun little ditty that will definitely brighten up a winter weekend. I got a chuckle out of the reviewers who think people in their 70's might not have the energy to live Gladdy's life. Just like size 12 is the new size 6, many 70-year-olds live the lifestyle that used to be reserved for smart, engaged, 50-year-olds. Rita's books are a celebration of elders with real lives and the capacity to enjoy them, but the celebration is wrapped up in a funny little story to help us remember not to take ourselves too seriously. Gladdy and her confidants have the bumps and foibles of real people--and, dear reviewer-who-came-before-me, most real people do have petty moments. The people worth spending time with at any age also have moments of insight, wit, and kindness to each other. Mature friendships are about tolerance for the petty moments in recognition of the pleasure of trusted company, loyalty, and some fun together. Rita Lakin entertains wonderfully, with light-handed reminders about what matters. She writes so well, this book skips along and is a pleasure to read.
Fun Read.......2006-11-05
Very enjoyable book. My 84-year-old mother enjoyed it, too. We can't wait for the next one.

Very Entertaining. Quick read that keeps you turning pages, hard to put down.
WANTED TO LOVE IT.......2006-07-23
WHILE READING THE REVIEWS, I WAS STRUCK BY THE TONE OF "MYSFAN"'S CRITIQUE OF ANOTHERS REVIEW. SHE MADE IT SOUND LIKE IF YOU DIDN'T LOVE THIS BOOK, SOMEHOW YOU HATED THE ELDERLY OR SOMETHING. FROM MY POINT OF VIEW, WHAT WAS IN FACT DISAPPOINTING ABOUT THIS NOVEL WAS THAT IT DIDN'T LIVE UP TO WHAT I HAD HOPED WOULD BE A SMART, LIGHT-HEARTED MURDER MYSTERY. INSTEAD, I FOUND IT TIRESOME AND SO VERY PREDICTIBLE. FOR STARTERS, I ENJOY STORIES ABOUT OLDER FOLKS. THROW IN THE FACT THAT IT'S JEWISH LADIES, WHO ARE SUPPOSE TO BE SLEUTHS, OUTSMARTING THE KNOW-IT-ALL-POLICE, IT HAD ME HOOKED AT THE DESCRIPTION ALONE. ONCE I STARTED READING IT, I WAS FLOORED BY THE PETTY, SELFISH, AND CHILDISH PERSONALITIES OF EVERY CHARACTER, MINUS THE MENFOLK AND BELLA. WHAT WAS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ANY ONE CHARACTER'S PERSONALITY AND THE NEXT? OH, I KNOW; IDA WAS TWICE AS BITCY AS SOHPIA, EVIE, GLADY, AND EVERY OTHER OLD BIDDY IN THE COMPLEX. PERHAPS I'M OUT OF THE LOOP AT 38 YEARS OLD AND I AM IN FOR A RUDE AWAKENING WHEN AND IF I SURPASS THE SIXTY YEAR MARK. ARE ALL OLD LADIES THIS UPTIGHT AND/OR SELF-CENTERED? WHEN I LOOK BACK ON MY TWENTIES, I THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH MORE I KNOW NOW, AND HOW EASIER IT IS TO DEAL WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND THEIR ISSUES. I WAS OPTIMISTICALLY THINKING THAT BY THE TIME I'M OLD, I'M GOING TO BE THIS GREAT HUMAN BEING WHO CAN BE FREE OF ANY OF THOSE OLD AWFUL BEHAVIORS. NOW THIS BOOK HAS BE WORRIED. AT WHAT POINT AM I GOING TO START DIGRESSING BACK TO MY ME-OBSESSED TEEN YEARS? UGG! IT'S ALL SO DISCONCERTING. MY NEWLY FORMED FEARS ASIDE, I THOUGHT THE PLOT WAS JUST FINE FOR WHAT I HAD BOUGHT INTO, EXCEPT THAT GLADY AND HER SUPPOSED "LESS INTELLIGENT THAN HER" SUPER SLEUTHS COULDN'T PICK UP ON A CLUE IF IT HIT THEM ON THE HEAD. WHERE WAS THE "OLDER IS BETTER" MESSAGE THAT THE INTRO QUOTES SEEMED TO BE IMPLYING? WHAT KIND OF POLICE OFFICERS WORK IN FLORIDA, ANYHOW? ILLITERATE SIMPLETONS? NOBODY GIVES AUTOPSIES, ESPECIALLY TO MIDDLE-AGED, WEALTHLY/HEALTHY WOMEN? BELIEVABLE PERHAPS IF THIS YARN TOOK PLACE IN THE 1970'S OR SOMETHING, BUT COME ON....IT'S 2005 IN THE STORY. ALL I WANTED FOR MY TIME WAS A SLIGHTLY BELIEVABLE BEACH READ, WITH INTERESTING, SHARP-WITTED CHARACTERS PURSUING BAD GUYS. WHAT I GOT INSTEAD WAS A HEADACHE AND A GLIMPSE INTO THE NOT SO BRIGHT FUTURE THAT AWAITS ME.
Book Description
From talented newcomer Trystam Kith comes the first book in the Trouble in the Forest duology, a medieval fantasy that turns all too quickly to terror. Deep in the forest, trouble is brewing. No one is safe in the thick, dark forest - no peasant, monk, minstrel, merchant, traveler, forester, or King's man may go into the forest without taking his life and his soul in his hands. Those who dare the deep green are found dead soon after, or worse - disappear. Only former Crusader Hugh deSteny is prepared to lead the fight against the bloodthirsty denizens of the forest, and he knows that the enemy he faces could damn him eternally if he loses the battle. Armed with precious knowledge, deSteny must undertake the fight of his life to preserve the forest and all who live within it from certain catastrophe - and a fearsome enemy the likes of which none save him have ever faced before.
Trystam Kith is a lifelong student of folklore, fairy tales, legends, myths, superstitions, religions, and cultural anthrolopology. Kith is a native Californian.

Get it Today!.......2004-12-04
The plot is unconventional, symptomatic and will monopolize your entire day. Using the legend of Robin Hood as a backdrop, Kith reels you in using your questioning nature. The basis of the tale unfolds as it is told and the key players are all in attendance. What is different, besides the bloodsuckers, is the 180-degree-turn that plays out. Intrigued and needing to satisfy your curiosity, you will soon disregard the skeletal outline and immerse yourself in a fresh story that promises abounding bloodshed.
The pace is subtle, keeping you parallel to the story while moving posthaste. Carrying along the journey while still allowing you enough time to absorb all the details. The atmosphere is stagnant and oppressive, and the air reeks of hawthorn trees and dirt. Kith's style of writing is crisp, concise and innovational. Keeping faithful to the outline of the original myth, Kith adds a fresh perspective and a completely distinctive dimension to the tale. The only problem with the book was the editing. Some pages had too much space in between words and grammatical errors were abundant.
The characters are passionate, authentic and as deep as a river. All of the players have their flaws, their own personality which distinguishes them. Even the antagonists eventually sway your sympathy and garner understanding. Although you have previous understanding of these characters and their fundamental traits, Kith presents an entirely different story that delivers, without your mind trying to reject it like yesterdays' Chinese.
In what is sure to become a classic, Kith transports you to the time of Robin Hood with a twist; where chivalry lived, kings ruled, and evil hid in every shadow.
strong dark fantasy .......2004-09-01
The Sheriff of Nottingham, Hugh deSteny listens with dread to the account of how a crofter family died with only small punctures on their necks. He has fought these creatures on Crusade in the holy land. He fears they have arrived on England's shores and have made their base of operation Sherwood Forest, a dark and foreboding place where the sun never shines. Sir Gui de Gisbourne who has placed deSteny in his position doesn't give credence to the sheriff's belief but deSteny sends messenger to inform Prince John of the dangers of this infestation.
Hugh is ordered to travel to Arundel to bring Lady Marian De Beauchamp to her betrothed Sir Gui. However the vampire leader Robin Hood and his men including Little John, Will Scarlet and the Red Friar kill the guard but take Lady Marian to Hood to her satisfaction because he treats her as are equal. Hugh with Sir Gui's approval sets a trap to bring the vampires out into the open where they can be destroyed. A roaming minstrel romanticizes Hood and his followers in ballads and a legend is born.
A COLD SUMMER NIGHT is an original rendition of the vampire myths and Robin Hood legend. Trystam Kith's vampires are evil and under the domination of Robin Hood but they still remember to mourn the loss of their humanity. They know they are damned and intend to put off the moment of reckoning as long as possible. Prince John comes across as a caring leader who is trying to do what is right for his country by helping deSteny destroy the vampires in his country. This dark fantasy comes highly recommended.

While pain and misery are two things all sinus sufferers have in common, the similarities may well end there. According to authors Debra Fulghum Bruce, a health journalist, and Dr. Murray Grossan, a board-certified otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon, each person's particular brand of sinusitis is unique and calls for individually tailored treatment. By relying on a multidisciplinary approach that combines some tried-and-true treatments with a few new approaches, Bruce and Grossan believe that most patients can control, even cure, their sinus problems.
In this comprehensive, well-organized new guide, the authors recommend a comprehensive healing program designed around seven steps: making a correct diagnosis, using nasal irrigation, considering complementary treatments, cleaning the air, eating right, reducing stress, and choosing effective medical treatments. The book's introductory chapter thoroughly explores the causes and types of sinusitis as well as its link to other respiratory ailments such as asthma and allergies. Thoughtful chapters on the value of holistic treatments, herbal remedies, and good nutrition provide welcome direction for patients interested in natural medicine. The treatment of ear and throat complications is also addressed in detail. While the object of this book is to help the patient avoid surgery, Grossan and Bruce do concede that sometimes it's the only cure for really debilitating conditions. Their final chapter explores this option--why it might be necessary and how to prepare for it.
Grossan claims that while each patient will apply the seven steps to varying degrees according his or her own situation, nasal irrigation in particular is key to relief. By frequently cleansing the sinuses with saline solution, mucus, bacteria, and allergens are gently removed and the chance of infection reduced. It is important to note that the irrigation process the doctor most heartily recommends requires using a device called the Pulsatile Nasal Irrigator invented by Dr. Grossan himself. --Marianne Painter

Comprehensive review for the layman.......2007-09-17
A good review of sinus disease and management written to allow the non-physician to gain from reading it.
The Sinus Cure Offers Valuable Information.......2007-09-16
My name is Chris Martin and I am the author of Having Nasal Surgery? Don't You Become An Empty Nose Victim! Dr. Grossan endorsed this book as a "must-read for anyone with nasal problems," and suggested it offered "up-to-date information that can empower the patient to best therapies." He also offered constructive feedback during the write-up of my book, and as only a small token of my gratitude for all he has done for me and others, I would like to share how The Sinus Cure has helped me in my life.
The original version of The Sinus Cure was one of the first sinusitis self-help books I have read, and perhaps the most influential in treatment of my nose. I have enjoyed reading the revised edition just as much.
What I particularly appreciate about The Sinus Cure is that Dr. Grossan and Ms. Bruce go well beyond offering remedies such as antibiotics and decongestants, the overuse of which can cause more harm than good.
As someone diagnosed with chronic sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, and empty nose syndrome (ENS), I have had recurrent sinus infections in past years and I was often prescribed an antibiotic, although now I question if many of these infections were in fact viral in origin. Most of the time my mucus was yellow, suggesting a viral infection, rather than green, which would have suggested a bacterial infection. Understanding that a minority of sinus infections really require antibiotic treatment, rather than treating the majority of my infections as if they were of bacterial origin, probably would have helped my condition. In fact, I wonder if antibiotic overuse sometimes led to increased resistance to antibiotics in my situation. Thankfully, although they might be needed in some instances, I do not rely on antibiotics nearly as much as in the past. Now I understand and fully embrace numerous treatment ideas that go far beyond antibiotics and apply these strategies to my own life. And, although my nose still requires constant management, I do not get sinus infections as much anymore.
That said, The Sinus Cure offers numerous treatment strategies for the sinuses, including discussions of herbal remedies, vitamins, and foods that could be beneficial for treating the sinuses. It is a great reference book for any sinus sufferer to look back on from time to time. Dr. Grossan and Ms. Bruce also caution against having the preservative benzalkonium chloride in saline nasal sprays. There is good reason for this. Overuse of such a preservative can cause more harm than good to sensitive nasal mucosa and the reader is well-advised to avoid it. This is particularly true for a sensitive nose, as in the case of an empty nose, for example.
Dr. Grossan and Ms. Bruce recommend using the pulsatile irrigator, which is the best product available for irrigating the sinuses. Please see my review posted on September 3rd regarding the Grossan Hydro Pulse Nasal and Sinus Irrigation System with the Original Grossan Sinus Tip, which details why I believe it is superior to other irrigation methods.
I further appreciate that, unlike the original version, the revised version of The Sinus Cure contains an entire page that is devoted to empty nose syndrome (ENS). ENS is a little known, unspoken, but tragic condition caused by an overly aggressive nasal surgery. ENS sufferers experience a number of sinus symptoms including a sensation that one is not breathing adequately, although the sufferer is in fact inspiring large amounts of air, a unique, yet puzzling phenomenon called paradoxical obstruction. There are scientific reasons for this symptom and others that ENS sufferers experience. As someone who has ENS, I am greatly appreciative of the attention that the revised edition of The Sinus Cure has brought to this condition and how Dr. Grossan is a strong advocate for ENS.
Lastly, while many posted positive commentary on The Sinus Cure, some reviewers posted "very brief" 1-star reviews and suggested friends of Ms. Fulghum Bruce had posted the fake 5-star reviews. First, these reviewers did not include any critical commentary on the content of the book, suggesting they hold a grudge against Ms. Bruce. Did these reviewers actually read the book? If one is going to post a 1-star review of the book, then there should be strong, well-reasoned logic in support of that decision; otherwise the criticism is not going to be taken seriously and is weak at best, hogwash at worst.
I have been very grateful for Dr. Grossan and Ms. Bruce and their fine book, The Sinus Cure, which has been influential for me. You would do well to pick up and read this book, and gain insights from the various easy-to-understand explanations and practical treatment tips contained within.
I believe The Sinus Cure should be part of every sinus sufferer's health library.
I'd smell a rat if I weren't so congested!.......2007-07-11
The one and two star reviews are completely correct when they claim that this book contains a lot of self promotion and that the alleged five star, rave reviews appear to be fake. All but one of the 5 star reviews are written by persons who only review this book, only review books authored or co-authored by Ms. Fulghum, or are by "a reader" with no reviewer information whatsoever. Yes, the authors and publishers SHOULD be ashamed. The book should be able to stand on its own without infomercial-style "help."
I bought this at a book store, only after much internal debate. The book looked like a promotional waste. However, being desperate, I thought it worth the price if only I could get a little information from it. And that is exactly what happened.
As another reviewer has pointed out, much of the information contained is available on the web. I was also surprised that the authors (one of whom claims to be an expert in the field of otolarygology) would only suggest that people who irrigate their sinuses with saline might CHOOSE not to use iodized salt. All of the doctors, literature and web sites that I've encountered STRONGLY CAUTION patients to AVOID iodized, sea or kosher salts for irrigation.
That said, I will admit that there is useful information contained in this volume. Grossan's Hydropulse irrigation system, albeit overpriced, is the best method so far for nasal irrigation and is routinely recommended by other doctors. (It is, of course, quite possible that these others are simply parroting recommendations without real investigation. However, I'm pleased with it.)
The book correctly warns against purchasing nasal solutions with preservatives and discusses chiropractic and acupuncture. The latter two have offered me a measure, although not total, relief. I agree that stress, poor diet and lack of vitamins exacerbate sinusitis. I've yet to try the papain/bromelain enzyme lozenges recommended. Dr. Grossan's web site lists what it describes as a list of clinical trials and refers to published papers in medical journals. I'm going to look these up to see if they actually report positive results.
A definite turn-off is the infomercial style of writing. I'm always eager to read case histories, but, somehow, in this work they don't appear to be authentic. The writing style is often simplistic and has a "canned" feel.
Nevertheless, I'm giving it a 3 star rating for containing useful info, despite it's obvious and rather sleazy devices.
Definatelly worth reading.......2007-03-20
This book was worth reading; if you only buy two sinus help books, this should be one of them! If you only buy one book, it should be "Harvard Medical School Guide to Healing Your Sinuses." But, I recommend this book, despite the fact that it heavily markets the expensive water pik that Dr. Grossan sells. (Which, having tried, is becoming my favorite nasal washing technique despite it's steep price. However, other methods work for those with limited money. A brand new enema bottle with the plastic end removed will work fairly well.) This book talks of varying the salt content in nasal wash, which the Harvard book missed.

Customer Reviews:
Yeah, I loved it too.......2007-08-31
I want to express my deep thanks and love to all who wrote nice things about this book. I was the acquiring editor of it, and the concept was my idea. Three months after making a pitch to Universal Studios, a massive box filled with all the NX scripts arrived at my office. From those came this book. With the invaluable participation of author Ellis Weiner and my two favorite cookbook authors (who could not, for contractual reasons, be identified, but who created all the recipes), a fun idea I had for a book about one of my favorite shows came to fruition. Seriously, in my fifteen years of working in publishing, this project was the most fun I ever had. I'm so thrilled to know that you guys liked it as much as I did. (I also did Chris-in-the-Morning, which I also love, but, you know, that was a no brainer--anybody could have figured that'd be a success!).
Fun ... and tasty.......2006-03-31
If you loved the show, this is a must. Allegedly written by Ruth-Anne Miller, Cicely's sage and owner of the general store, the book contains wry observations on the folks and life in Cicely, memories of the show and the food served and discussed on it. Surprisingly, the recipes are good - very good ... at least the ones I'd tried. I'm especially fond of the eggplant parmegian recipe. Guess I'll have to take better care of the book now that it's collectible!!
Fabulous........2005-10-26
I must say, I bought this because I thought it seemed like a fun gimmick and I liked the show, but the recipes are outstanding. I grew up in test kitchens and I can say that the lamb stew is the best I've ever had-- great borscht, too. Lightfeather Duncan's mashed potatoes are the hit of Thanksgiving... but heed their warning about not using the red horseradish, as pink potatoes clash with holiday decor. Eggs Florentine recipe is also noteworthy; love the pungency of the gruyere.
A must have for northern exposure fans.......2004-08-30
This cookbook is so much fun and a must for any northern exposure fan. All the recipes you heard mentioned from Adam and the zabaglione he whipped up for Eve on their first date to the Cassoulet Chris had at the monastery. It has a little intro to each recipe done in character by the character. There are simple funny recipes like Joel's Jell-O and Marilynn's potatoes and more detailed ones like Adam's and Maurice's. A fun read and walk down memory lane for any northern exposure fan.
The best cookbook.......2003-09-19
I'm a really big NX fan, and this cookbook was great- interesting recipies, and ever better quotes! I loved the stories behind each recipie and the comments Ruth-Anne makes. This is a great book, even for people who don't like NX.

A very useful book for the novice adding plants.......2004-04-17
The ultra-experts may not like this book but I found it very useful in setting up my first complex freshwater aquariums with plants. Of course my goal was not to reproduce the exact conditions of Lake Whatchamacallit. But I ended up with very stable, amusing, and good looking tank that was easy to care for.
More "bio-types" than biotopes.......2004-02-03
I was very disappointed by this book. While the general fishkeeping advice is sound, that can be found in many other books. I bought this volume specifically to obtain information on setting up accurate biotope aquaria, and here it fell far short of my expectations. As another reviewer commented, fish are thrown together simply because they come from the same general geographic region (i.e., Southeast Asia) rather than because they truly come from the same lake or river. Plants, too, are included inappropriately--despite what many authors seem to think, no authentic Rift Lake (Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyika) should feature plants--only rocks, substrate, algae, and snail shells for shell-dwellers.
On the positive side, as I said, the fishkeeping advice is good. Additionally, while the "biotopes" given aren't real biotopes at all, the author does provide useful advice on how to simulate what I call "bio-types": the substrate, water flow, and other features of particular types of aquatic environments, such as river, lakes, and mountain streams.
Bottom line: If you're interested in setting up tanks that recall a certain type of aquatic environment, and aren't particular about whether or not the fish and plants you include are actually found together in nature, you may want to investigate this book. However, if you're interested in creating a true biotope aquarium, one intended to to be a snapshot of a specific environment, such as a Lake Tanganyika rocky reef, a small stream in Thailand, or a Rio Negro floodwater, look elsewhere. Despite the book's title, you won't find the information you need here.
All style no substance.......1999-09-24
While this book has some nice pictures. There is very little actual information on setting up a natural aquarium.
A good overview of biotope aquariums, but lacking details.......1998-05-21
This highly glossy book is divided into chapters regarding not geographical areas but types of biotope namely:
-Clear Water Rivers of the Central American Landbridge -Belly Sliders and Bottom Hoppers: Fish from River Rapids -River bank with Fallen Foliage -A Lot of Wood: An Aquarium for "Antenna" or Tentacled Fish -Overgrown Bank -Rocky shore or Beach Zone: Careful Fish Among Large Stones -Rubble or Scree Zone in Lake Tanganyka -Underwater Deserts: Life in the Sand
The descriptions and suggestions are somewhat biased towards the Central-Southern American Region, except (obviously) for the last three chapters which focus on the African lakes Malawi and Tanganyka. Asia and other parts of Africa are not given much coverage while Europe and North America don't feature at all. The author seems also to be very fond of cichlids of all types and origins and I believe this book could prove quite useful to someone considering getting into these and making their first, general choices. Personally, I find that this book has taught me some about the way different kinds of fish live but not enough of any particular kind to make a serious attempt at creating a biotope aquarium. The many photographs are mostly of fish in aquariums. Moreover, although the book does still contain some 60-odd photographs of field photographs, these are mostly landscape, above-water pictures of rivers, ponds, etc. Only a few pictures actually correspond to actual underwater scenes from nature and most of these are of the lakes Malawi and Tanganyka. Overall, I find that this book is good introduction to biotope aquariums, and would be useful for people trying to make choices about biotope types and those who would like to know what their fish are now missing in their home aquariums. It is not, however, provide enough information to attempt to recreate a real biotope with a reasonable degree of faithfulness, and does not take into account regional variations (gouramis from India-Sri Lanka are thrown in with the Thai, Malay,! etc, for example). -A good coffe-table book!

The Porter book is good, but it centers MOSTLY on the comics. Our family prefers the Batman Toy and Collectibles Price Guide by John L. Mack which has much better coverage of Batman collectibles, is up-to-date and has NEW Batman toys in it with MODERN pricing. The publisher of Porter's book should do John Macks'! Without a doubt this is my favorite book on Roses. There are numerous wonderful books on Roses - but I NOW could not live without this book. Simply great information such as the size of the rose bloom, whether the particular rose is once-blooming or a repeat-bloomer, strengths and defects, year introduced, etc., such useful and interesting details. From me, a big "Thank You" to Charles and Brigid Quest-Ritson for writing and putting this book together!
1st Edition of The American Rose Society Encyclopedia.......2006-11-03
It would be difficult to over praise this excellent encyclopedia. The photography is outstanding; the descriptions of roses intense yet easily understood, and the added features on various rose breeders and their histories are so helpful. The introduction directs the reader on how to use the book to best advantage. Yes, a marvelous book, this first edition of The American Rose Society.

There are over 2000 roses described, each with pictures, with everyting you would need to know such as average height and width (and height range based on climate), blooming period, fragrance, any drawbacks the flower has or any disaes susceptibility, and other names the rose is known by.
This is the book to go to if you read about a rose or go to a website with no picture and need to look up the color and size characteristics.
This is THE rose encyclopedia!
very informative rose book.......2006-02-28
I realized when I purchased this book that each year they come out with new roses and some of the ones that I just purchased would not be in the book. But, a lot of my old favorites are there and this book is a real fountain of information for me. Hope they update this book in a couple of years.
Good book!
