OK BOOK WORTH THE MONEY. ISSUES ARE THE BINDING IS WEAK AND PAGES ARE STARTING TO FALL OUT IF I WANT TO TAKE IT OUT ON THE TRAIL FOR REFERENCE. ALSO, IMAGES RELATIVE TO INSTRUCTION ARE ON THE SMALL SIDE. IF YOU WANT A GOOD BOOK THAT GETS TO THE POINT THIS IS THE ONE. THE PRICE IS NOT A KILLER SO WHY NOT GO FOR IT. I DID, I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED.

The book was alright. It covered only the basics and did not serve the purpose I had in mind. It is on the Special Forces supplemental reading list, and to be honest, I don't know why. It has no information in it that is not already in the FM's for land nav. I was truely disappointed but for a layman, this is a good book to get you started. Don't get lost.

you can feel certain that when you buy this book, you are getting the best that exists for beginning and intermediate navigation and orienteering. all of the basics are outlined here, and written in such a way that is quite easy to follow. the practice problems in the back were especially helpful to me.

one word of extreme caution: be absolutely sure to stay away from the sierra club navigation book. it is difficult to describe its worthlessness, as it is poorly organized and written, and implicity resigns navigation to an elite few.

I do gourd pyrography and wanted a source of Indian designs to use in my pyrography. This book contains a nice selection and each group of designs includes an explaination of the design and when it was used.

Bleck - nothing but images, not informative!.......2005-02-16

This book is half filled with images, none of which have any descriptions as to which tribe the graphics are from. I am very dissapointed because this book is useless to me as an art teacher. If you want a good book on Tribal designs and motifs, check out another resource by Dover, titled, 'Ready-to-Use North American Indian Motifs.' It has 10 x's more graphics and each image is explained as far as tribe and geographical region.

Saved me $$$$$$$ and heartache.......1999-05-07

I would have never thought of all of these issues when buying my first horse. After reading this book, I no longer felt apprehensive about going through the process and I was informed. The first two horses I looked at flunked the vet exam big time which I would have never discovered on my own. Also, I got excellent guidelines for how to take a test ride from reading Horse for Sale. This book tells it all and I thank the author for helping me find "Destiny".

Buying your first horse is a huge ordeal!!! Cherry Hill's book was incredibly helpful!! I learned so much from her book and it made me feel more confident about what to look for. I made informed and knowledgeable choices in buying my horse. I only wish that I would have read it sooner. I would highly recommend this book to any first time buyer/seller. Make an informed choice, read Ms. Hill's book.

Cherry Hill provides a good resource on evaluating your needs when searching for a horse as well as objective criteria to consider before buying a horse. She also reviews alternatives to purchasing, explaining toh details that should be considered in various types of transactions. An especially good resource for the first time horse owner. Very useful as well for the more experienced. Good suggestions succesful marketing of your own equine. I would highly recommend this to EVERYONE considering a horse or sale

Crocodile tears from a Thimbleberries Fan.......2002-09-24

Why the tears? Cuz I'm used to the quality of the Thimbleberries books and this one fell so far short. If you are looking for a quilting book don't get this. It has pretty pictures, a few projects (though they are the same as in her other "real" books). This would be strictly for the person interested in decorating or a pretty coffee table book. I was hesitant to buy it because the book plainly states decorating, collecting and inspiration...well I was right. I will be returning this book and I have never done that before. So that should give you some indication of just how bad it is. For decorating it is way too cutesy and it's very thin on quilting and projects. Only good for the pretty pictures. Before spending money on this get it from your local library to make sure you are happy with it.

More Great Decorating, Thimbleberries Style.......2002-01-01

If you love Christmas, and you love the Thimbleberries "look", you would do well to add this book to your collection. It has a wide variety of decorating ideas, as well as great projects, all done in the simple, staightforward style that Lynette Jensen is known for. This book is a good buy, even if you just get it for the pictures, which are spectacular. I spent days just browsing through it and enjoying it. I'm sure you will, too.

The most wonderful thing about this lovely book is that it's more about Americana than country music. (I'm not even that big a fan of country--I bought it because I'm a Cathie Pelltier fan--I love her novels!) But I ended up reading every story and loving them all, especially the ones for Jeanne Pruett (I saw it in COUNTRY CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL, too) Skeeter Davis, and Jimmy C. Newman. Great reading. I also like Ronnie Milsap's tale of the past.

Thank you again to Chuck Green for pulling up those of us who tend to get bogged down in the muck and mire, up and out of the design-block trenches! There IS a drawback to this CD however.....there are SO MANY wonderful templates, that it's hard to stay focused on a job when you want to go play with every single one, just for the FUN of it!! Hats off to Chuck......... He has done it once again....... :)
