Customer Reviews:
Let's Go 2006 Western Europe.......2006-11-08
I bought this for my son who was traveling to Europe this fall. He was backpacking and the book is HUGE. However, he tore out the pages of the places he planned to visit and took only those with him. He found it very useful and accurate. I recommend the book highly, especially if you have a big suitcase.
Bundle with Party Europe.......2006-10-06
I agree with Juanito's review. This guide rocks. If you really want to have the best time of your life, buy a copy of Party Europe as well. Let's Go tells you where to stay and eat, Party Europe will tell you how to have fun. Great combination. Can't wait to head back to the old country.
Simply Excellent!.......2006-03-20
This book is the perfect base guide if you are travelling in Europe. If you are doing mostly Western Europe (Italy, France, Spain, Britain, Netherlands, etc.) I would recomment definetly. It is a little more in depth that the regular Let's Go Europe and it still has the main northern and Eastern Europe cities like Budapest, Prague, Helinsky, Copenhaguen, etc.
This guide has every place you can imagine, plus very detailed information about travelling, lodging, sights, eating, and nightlife. If you want a good guide for parties, get Party Europe 2005. It is much more detailed but it only has 14 places. It will still be a good supplemental guide and the review of most places are about half a page, when in Let's go are about a tenth.
I strongly recommend this book if you are going to be travelling in Europe. The Western Europe option is more expensive but it is going to be well worth it.
Just to let you know, this guide includes: maps of most major cities; subway maps of a few; info on hostels, food, sights, and nightlife; sample itinerarie; and much otheruseful information.
If you are looking to party a lot in Europe, be sure to get a copy of Party Europe 2005 as well! These two books are a perfect combination.

Customer Reviews:
Planner every Bride must have !!.......2007-08-02
This planner has been the best. Since I am planning my big day to be in sunny Florida and I live in North Carolina, the size of the planner has been great to travel with and fits perfect in a pocketbook or your briefcase so you have it at work. All of the sections are very helpful...especially the flowers section. My florist sent me some ideas about flowers and I had no one what some looked like...but they were all in the flower section. In addition to all of this, my fiance loved the planner as well--BONUS!!!
ENORMOUS HELP.......2007-06-04
Kinda a cheat for me is that I work for an event company. But this book was a big help keeping me on my time table. A must have for any bride that has no idea where to start.
Are you kidding me?.......2007-05-06
This book is far from Ultimate! The authors of this "guide" assume that a)you've never been to a wedding b)you must have a super-traditional wedding, and c) you have all the time in the world to fill out page after page of worksheets. You can tell a wedding coordinator wrote this book, because they imply in several places that you simply must hire a professional coordinator because you know nothing about weddings and they know everything. They also suggest that the best way to cut down on a the dress cost is to find someone getting married the same year and share a dress!! Seriously? This book is not for the modern bride.
The Ultimate Wedding Planning Guide.......2007-01-19
My daughter received three different wedding guides for Christmas, and after reviewing all of them, she decided to keep this one because she thought it was the most comprehensive and organized. Eventually, she received two additional copies of this book because other people (one a wedding planner) thought that this was the best book available. I think the pockets are handy for organizing receipts, and the planning and ideas presented reflect realistic scenarios.
Neat book!.......2007-01-02
I just got engaged and started buying books to plan my wedding and this is a really good book to keep you from feeling overwhelmed! It isn't really about how to put together a cheeper but nice wedding. It is more informational. There are quite a few different sections and within those sections there are tips for picking out the right dress through the estimated cost of catering, photography, videography, and more.
If you are going for organization and information to keep you from feeling overwhelmed, buy this book! Buy another book if you want information on planning a wedding on a small budget.

Customer Reviews:
This is only based on the "Search Inside!" exerpt..........2007-06-08
So I haven't read this whole book and based on what I have read I doubt I ever will. I read the two stories in the available exerpt and find them rather lacking. Before you get the wrong idea I want to emphasize that I love animals, particularly dogs, and I know they do plenty of amazing and heroic things. Based on the two stories I read, however, this book is only going to impress people who have never read a story about an animal doing something remotely heroic before.
One of these stories involved a dog saving its owner from a fire and giving its life to try to save a litter of puppies as well. Okay, that's pretty heroic, but it's also par for the course when it comes to heroic dog stories. I'm so used to the idea that dogs sometimes save their owners from burning buildings and stuff like that. They're wonderful, but this particular story is a little too familiar to feel like a miracle to me. What made it even worse for me is that the dog dies trying to save the puppies and they don't even survive in the end! So sad! Now I wish I hadn't read it at all! Even if you consider the overall event a miracle it just isn't a very good story unless you've really never heard of a dog doing something like this before.
And then there's the other one. At least the dog with the fire did something brave and self-sacrificing that went against its normal behavior. In the second story I read a woman basically has some trouble with her electric wheelchair and falls out of it. She has a bit of a fright (as can be expected when you fall), but she's not hurt. Now this takes place in her home. She's on her floor, not a busy highway. Her legs don't work, but the rest of her body is perfectly healthy. Basically the "miracle" in this story is that when she tells her service dog to go find her cell phone, he finds it for her. Incidentally this is exactly what he's been trained to do. Then she uses her cell phone to call 911 and have the firemen break into the house and put her back in her chair. Wow. That dog's a freakin' hero alright.
Yes, I know I sound terribly cynical, but the point is that these are supposed to be incredibly heroic, miraculous stories and if these two accurately represent the quality of the rest of them then this particular book isn't worth the money. If the woman was in actual danger that might make it a little more noteworthy. If the dog handn't been specifically trained to get things for her and wasn't already used to fetching her cell phone that would have also been a little more impressive. If the woman lived alone and was physically incapable of getting back to her wheelchair without other people to help her there would have been still more justification for this being a "miracle", but no. What this story boils down to is that a woman had a little scare, but was uninjured, and her service dog did what it was there to do and fetched her the phone which she used to call the fire department away from other, possibly life-threatening situations, to sit her back in her chair and save her from the inconvenience of having to drag herself to her chair, or even, heaven forbid, just into a sitting position where, if she couldn't get to her chair, she might actually be forced to endure an hour or two of boredom (or, as an optimist might call it, "an opportunity for quiet reflection") before her sister (who was out for the afternoon, not vacationing in Nova Scotia) got home and could help her back to her chair. OH THE HUMANITY! That would have been almost as bad as the time I got locked out of my house for a few hours! Except she was safe and warm and had a loving animal for company and I was out in the cold alone with nothing to do. That poor woman, I'm glad the fire men were able to take time out of their busy day of saving lives to rescue her from a minor inconvenience. It's so lucky the dog was willing to traverse those dangerous hallways and do the same thing it does many times every day. Surely you can see what I'm talking about here?
So yes, maybe the rest of the stories are fabulous and the first two are just duds. Normally I wouldn't write a review if I hadn't read the whole book, but the only review that's been written so far was so contrary to my impression I wanted to offer a dissenting view.
Amazing!!.......2003-02-15
Brad and Sherry have done it again. This book is an amazing and heartwarmiing book that will leave you with a greater appreciation for our dogs. Thank you for writing such an amazing series of books. Excellent job. Keep them coming.

Customer Reviews:
A great resource for south Florida gardeners........2006-01-01
Gardens by the Sea: Creating a Tropical Paradise is an invaluable tool for south Florida gardeners. The photographs are helpful, not just in identification, but in illustrating many of the plants as used in real landscapes. Topics covered include tropical fruits, orchids, and palms, as well as many shrubs and trees specifically suited to the seaside. Wind and salt tolerance are factors clearly in play in this climate, and the book takes care to keep us informed on conditions in which each plant will thrive. As a bonus, the book is beautifully photographed and gives us glimpses over the hedges into some beautiful Palm Beach gardens.
Landscape Resource for South Florida and Related Climates.......2001-09-04
Palm Beach Garden Club put out this book to give those who love gardening and creating a special tropical retreat in their own backyards. The photos are ok as it would be nicer if they showed the landscaping use of the plants in some photos instead of showing the plant so you see what it looks like. Excellent resource for those in South Florida. However, Tropical Gardens and Tropical Plants by William Warren are far better. Yet for the neophite this book isn't bad--I found it a useful reference as long as you don't take the advise from the orchid section

Book Description
This is a biography of a classic Christian educator who chose to render service in what some who consider an obscure place, Dermott, Arkansas. Burdened with overwhelming circumstances, Dr. York Wayland Williams sought to carry on a historic tradition, Morris-Booker College. Being an alumnus of the school, as well as Samuel L. Koontz, who became a physician who performed the first kidney transplant, Dr. Williams attempted to keep the school open so it could produce other outstanding scholars and citizens though they came from the poverty stricken delta area of Southeast Arkansas.
