Frankly, for a book on how to buy RV's, I was disappointed. In one of his chapters on what to advoid, Don launches into a multipaged bashing of two ethnic clans that hustle unsuspecting people with sales of poorly constructed RV that are made in IN. This was not advice, it was pure racism.

A good basic guide to negotiating the purchase of an RV.......1998-09-19

The book does get a little bit into the basics, ex. trailer types etc... Overall, it gave some good insight into when/how to negotiate a good deal on an RV. The book motivates the RV shopper to be brave about asking for the price he/she wants. However, if you are looking for specific retail/wholesale prices, they aren't in here.

There was also some good information which helps buyers to know what to look for in an RV. (ex storage, food prep areas, size of bath etc..) The checklist in the back of the book looks fairly complete and should be helpful.

Required reading for anyone considering an RV.......1997-11-06

This book reveals all the dirty secrets in the buying and selling of RVs. Following the advice in this book can easily save you thousands of dollars and a lot of grief. If you're looking at RVs through rose colored lenses, this book will put everything in perspective. If you're still willing to get that RV and hit the road after reading this book, at least you'll have a fighting chance.

It was easy to read - maybe too easy. I was expecting a more detailed and better organised book. I read history out of curiosity, but my curiosity about the origins of the two World Wars remains unsatisified.

A good introduction to a vast subject........2001-04-20

This is a very short book on such a huge theme...

The book presents the reasons for both wars as an strategic decision by the rulers of Germany. It makes a very good case, of the connection between the reasons for both wars.

Due to its size it is not very detailed, but still is very interesting. The author has included excerpts of historical documents that are related to the reasoning developed in the book.

South Korean conglomerates, or "chaebol," such as Hyundai and Samsung play a far more important role in Korean economy than do comparable large firms in the United States' and Japanese economies. Despite the importance of the chaebol to the rapid postwar development of the Korean economy, little has been written about their origins during the Japanese occupation. Through case studies of local ownership in major financial, commercial and industrial ventures, this book provides a detailed picture of indigenous capitalism during Japanese colonization. Drawing on Japanese government sources, Korean biographies and diaries, interviews, and United States intelligence material, the author gives a compelling account of key personalities in the Korean business elite and of the personal dilemmas of balancing nationalism against success under dependent, colonial conditions. The author concludes that dependent rather than comprador capitalism characterized leading Korean business through 1945. Patterns of concentration within family enterprises, close ties with the colonial state, and mutual support among a Korean inner circle of business leaders constitute a legacy of the colonial period important to the subsequent development of Korean conglomerates.

Very good synopsis of the road to American intervention.......2003-04-11

This little book is a wonderful synopsis of the twisted road to American intervention in WW I. Gregory at the beginning of the book states that the book is not designed to break new ground and uncover new interpretations on American entry into WW I, and indeed it does not do so. However, Gregory succeeds in expertly detailing the political and diplomatic wrangling within the American government in the years leading up to WW I. He also succeeds in putting into perspective both the sinking of the Lusitania, and the Zimmerman Telegram, both of which have been named in popular accounts as the "reason" the US declared war on Germany, neither of which is true, it was a complicated myriad of factors which led Wilson to ask for a declaration of war. Gregory also makes clear that some of the blame for the failure of Wilsonian diplomacy must be laid at the feet of not only Wilson, who did not realize the weight of the economic club he could wield against the Allied and Axis nations, but also at the feet of Wilson's advisors, who failed to adequately carry out some of Wilson's instructions designed to get both warring parties to keep the US out of the war. Gregory also deftly explains that the US for a time might have gone to war against England and France due to the fact the British did not respect American neutrality on the seas, it was only the stupidity of the Germans to resume unrestricted submarine warfare that finally pushed Wilson firmly into the allied camp, although his heart had been with the allies more than the Germans all along.
A wonderful introduction to a complicated subject!

This is a wonderful book for beginners as well as experienced dancers. In particular, this is one of the best references for barre exercises, but the center steps are well covered, too. This is actually my first choice when recommending barre exercise references, which is reason enough to include it in a ballet library.

Fantastic book!!!.......2000-08-13

I have the hard bound edition of this book, published some time ago by Alfred Knopf, and I never tire of looking at the drawings and appreciating the mathematical precision of classical ballet. The reading of this book will be of an enormous assistance to studying ballet, and it is also invaluable if one wants to study the more technical facets of the subject. Ballet is one form of dance that can be mathematically systemaitized and characterized, and this book is a great reference for such an undertaking. Definitely worth having and the paperback edition with its low price makes it completely accessible to all.

I thought this book contained good information and the drawings are incredible- although confusing at times. There are many steps described in this book, both advanced and beginner. I find this book a great addition to my ballet collection. As a dancer, it is a good reference book for me when I have a question or uncertainty about a step. This book describes in detail how to preform barre exercises, allegros, turns, pointe work, etc. This is a necessity for all dancers and dancer-wannabes.
