Anti-angiogenic agents are believed to hold great promise in the fight against cancer. Easy to Use and helpful review.......2007-09-02

I found this guidebook extremely helpful during our trip to the South of France with our three kids (aged, 2,4 and 13). It was easy to digest, included important and interesting things but didn't overwhelm with too much detail. Some of the prices were slightly low, but the phone numbers, times and locations were accurate. It also helped me pick out things that would appeal to the different aged kids in our family. I particularly liked the sections on Avignon and Nimes/Pont-du-Gard. The resturant sections were helpful as well, although a couple of places were no longer around.

Take this book to the South of France!.......2005-08-03

Even with a 2003 publication date, this book was our primary resource while traveling with the kids in Provence in July 2005. The book bailed us out with appropriate restaurant recommendations on more than one occasion, provided just the right amount of information about sights to see (and those to avoid)and did a great job preparing all of us for the trip. An awesome resource.......2004-06-28

We just got back from a trip to the South of France and this book ended up being on of our main resources. From recommended accommodations (the Hotel Montmorency in Carcassonne has a great location and is tremendously kid-friendly) to warnings on things which seem like they might be good ideas but really aren't (the walk up to Peyreperteuse is pretty steep and windy for kids and there's no railing for a lot of it) "Take the Kids" gave great advice, presented in an engaging (even for reading aloud to the kids) manner. Read it before you go and take it along!

A very "post-modern" design book. Definitely not made for traditionalist or "clean styled" designers. The designs featured in this book are very sketch-book like, loose, heavily layered and personal. Very inspiring if you enjoy this style of Graphic Design.
Neasden Control Centre is undoubtably one of the more edgy, progressive and important European Graphic Design firms in recent years.

Good follow-up to "The Physics of Dance".......2000-08-13

The author does a fine job of adding to his earlier book "The Physics of Dance" in this book. It is very uncommon to find a physicist interested in dance, but the author definitely will keep the attention of a professional physicist. The book is more qualitative in nature than the first one, but physicists interested in kinesiology will gain something by reading this book. As in all of physics, one can disagree on the analysis of the movements, but the book does give a good overview of the difficutlies that arise when dancers attempt to perform the pas da deux. Dancers also could gain something by reading this book, as it will make them more aware of how exactly they should place their bodies to make movements in the pas da deux more effective. A fine addition to the technical literature on dance, and hopefully the author will find the time to write a third one on the more quantitative/mathematical issues that arise in analyzing the physics of dance.

This was a well-written, detailed biography of a man who deserves to be more well known than he is. I agree with the other reveiwer that it did focus too much on his time in Australia nad not enough on his Boston career, but that is understandable since it was first published in Australia.

good work on a forgotten hero.......2000-12-23

i wish that the author had concentrated more on his career in boston and less on his time spent in australia , but overall this is a superb book for those unfamiliar with o'reilly. o'reilly was way ahead of his time in his social views and in his regard for oppressed groups and should definitely be remembered for that. the author has done a fine job. i greatly admire o'reilly -though i must admit i have a bias as i am related to him indirectly through his wife.
