I have used this book so much during my MSc Project on Algal Communities, that it became my personal bible for all aspects of benthic algal ecology. It's a very comprehensive book, that is both interesting and relevant right from the start till the very end. All topics are well designed and illustrated and all in all it is very nice to read - not only for Ecologists like me.

I used that book so much during the writing up of my MSc thesis that it became my personal bible for all periphyton related issues. I've never seen so much excelent and relevant information on this topic in just one book. The figures are well placed, and all in all it's very nice to read (not only for Algal Ecologists like me).

The Complete Book of Airships - Dirigibles, Blimps & Hot Air.......2000-08-09

This book is easy to read but very informative at the same time. Mr. Dwiggins not only discusses the complete history of Dirigibles, Blimps and Hot Air Balloons with great authority but he makes it very enjoyable. I have learned a lot from the book because of the back ground that he discusses. Learning that Dirigles were used during the Civil War was amazing to me. Most people believe they did not come into being until the 20th Century.

At the same time of educating me about the history, Mr. Dwiggins has also added to my knowledge of what makes Blimps, etc tick. How to make them fly better and more efficiently. I checked this book out of the library but I must now order this book because of the wonderful history and knowledge it is providing.

This book was totally good i couldnt put it down i even faked sick to finish it i read it in a day and you could to this book totally get to the point of where teens and the weigh problems are. I think that anyone should pick up a copy now

This book really addresses a concept that hits home for many teenaged girls. I strongly recommend that every adolescent girl read it.

Avid to FCP Editors, Arm Yoruself With This Book.......2007-01-04

This book helps ease the monumental transition from Avid to FCP. It is definitely a must for anyone going through the change, but becomes less useful once you get the hang of FCP. Once you are through the transtion, then get the book Final Cut Pro 5 for Mac, which answers the rest.

This book I could only find used, it is not easy to come by...

Up and running on FCP in a week.......2005-03-18

If you are ever forced to quickly learn Final Cut pro for the odd job where Avid is not a viable option, or you want to start editing your on stuff on the cheap, buy this, read it and practise it for a week and you will be a Pro at Pro, knowing everything there is to know, at least, where to find it and whether it is doable or not. It is a book written by an Avid editor for Avid editors who have to go through the same learning curve. You can be very surprised going through it on how similar the two editing systems are and most of all, how quickly you can synthesise the information and make it second nature. I fervently recommend this book being so well written, going always to the point and covering everything properly.

As an Avid editor and now learning FCP, I can recommend this book for helping to understand where everthing is. This book is a must unless you want to tear your hair out. If you know how it feels going from Media Composer to DS, then you will understand why you need this book and I might add others.

Moving from Avid to FCP? This book is great!.......2002-12-17

We have been an Avid only edit house for years, but reciently purchased two Final Cut systems. Most of the transition was pretty easy, but trying to figure out how to do some of the things in FCP that we did in our sleep on the Avid slowed us down a bit.
