I think that if you buy this book hoping to find every little detail about the cruise, you will be sorely disappointed. This book is a very nice overview for someone thinking about cruising with Disney, or someone who just booked their first DCL cruise.

I have been on four Disney cruises, and I still learned something new from the book.

I was very disappointed with this book, especially since I'm a Birnbaum fan. Although it has nice color glossy pages, it is short with not much relevant information. If you are going on a Disney Cruise, you MUST get Passporters Field Guide. It is excellent in every area. Lots of tips and inside information to make your cruise smooth sailing!

The Disney cruise line sails to the Pacific during the summer of 2005. Birnbaum purports to talk about the 2005 cruises, yet well over half the book discusses land packages in the Caribbean, and such useless topics as how to get to the Orlando, FL airport. I feel ripped-off, and am sorry I paid good money for this book. If you are cruising Disney this summer, save your money. Don't buy this book.

Holocaust History for Middle Schoolers.......2000-04-25

This books is a good historical treatment for middle school students. The first half of the book tells about Hitler and the German extermination of the Jews and the second half tell the Jews' side of the story. Black and white pictures are plentiful with one every few pages. Kids will understand how prevalent anti-Semitism was when they see the picture of a game board for "Jews Get Out," a board game sold in Germany in 1939 and 1940. The one thing I did not like was on a map which shows the destruction of the Jews in Europe by country (showing the number of Jews killed over the prewar Jewish population), you cannot read the numbers for Poland because they are stuck in a crack. Also the map of Europe under the German Rule is hard to read because of its black and white color scheme. But all in all, the book is an easy to read and informative history of this time.

Mysterious teeth........2003-08-06

Up until I got this book the teeth were such a strange and misunderstood thing for me. I learned in 4-h and college about them , sure but until I could have it explained with lots of pictures and in depth explanations did it ever make any sense at all. I never realized how important tooth care was to a horse or even how their teeth worked. And let's not even get started on that whole weird telling horses' ages by their teeth thing!! Finally after 20-some years I UNDERSTAND!!!

Very good book with excellent photographs. Good advices for those who want to buy, create or simply take good care of bonsai trees. This is a very visually-appealing book with creative photography and excellent color pictures on almost every page. It is targeted to the beginner, and (though a beginner myself) I think it is quite informative and gets one off to a good start. It has an index of many common trees used for bonsai and rates them according to difficulty, hardiness and sun/shade preference. It's weakness is an abundance of technical printing errors (goofed up captions, mostly), but in spite of this I heartily recommend it to the beginner for use as "A [Basic] Care Manual" and say it's well worth its price.

It becomes evident that the introduction of kingship in the early period of prophecy marks the beginning of a consideration of social situations. Michael Neri does an excellent job of tracing the changes which occurred in California in the transition from Spanish Colonial rule, to Mexican rule, to incorporation into the United States, through the life of one exemplary man, Fr. Jose Gonzalez Rubio. He paints a wonderful portrait of the man and his times. A solid work for anyone interested in early California History.

"Brand Aid" is the most comprehensive of all the materials that I've read on brand management. It is packed with resources to gain understanding in what branding is and how it can be implemented to benefit an organization. The case studies are engaging and relatable, and the checklists are thought provoking. The succinct content in each chapter makes this book an invaluable reference tool.

Even the most basic branding concepts in the early chapters were insightful and deepened my belief in the importance of building strong relationships with customers and employees.

My organization began a branding initiative earlier this year. I now wish I had read "Brand Aid" before we started. This book should become required reading for all business leaders responsible for driving the growth of their organizations.

Of all the books I've read on marketing and branding, this one is the shining star! I'll also go out on a limb and assert that it's one of the best books I've seen published by AMACOM. With those superlatives in place, let's look at the book.

The challenge of market positioning, business-to-consumer and business-to-business, has intensified. Buyers' minds have become crowded-no, cluttered-with a bombardment of messages urging them to select one product or service over another. Organizations that desire to positively influence people about their offerings must be concerned about brand. And "organizations" encompasses more than just manufacturers, retailers, and other for-profits. Not-for-profits, schools, civic groups, causes, and even individuals need to pay more attention to developing, enhancing, and defending their brands.

This high-content book is written for beginners as well as those who think they know at least something about what they're doing. I found the book "Brand Aid" highly informative and I believe VanAuken has set a new standard in the study of branding. Whether it's the Case Studies, "Did You Know?" items or checklists throughout the book, he is able to provide PRACTICAL advice that can be used to develop or enhance brands.

This book could very well become the "Bible" for branding now and in the future. I would give it 5-plus stars.
