This book was VERY useful. All categories were very detailed. The reviews of the how different age groups liked the attractions was very helpful. I would definitely buy this book again.

This is a really useful book, tons of tips, saved me a lot $$ and time. The downside is too heavy to carry in the parks.

I had the the 2002 edition and now that the package & ticketing structure has changed, the new edition was really helpful. This book is a great tool in preparing to go; eg. where to stay, when to go, how to get the most bang for your buck. I can tell you that I got priority seatings for breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table and saved 20% at my moderate resort because of the information in this book. The book more than pays for itself!

Excellent resource for anyone planning either a first trip or repeat visit to the WDW. Be sure to read the reviews on restaurants, because they include readers reviews.

A very thorough book. There are excessive transcripts of opinions, which are confusing at times and make the book a little too big. The touring plans are a bit commando style, but they're interesting nonetheless.

I think some of the content here is relevant, but there's a lot that isn't. The Dummies book would be better, or read up on investing with Investing Without Losing (ISBN 0978834607 NOT on amazn, other stores)

As many of the other reviewers have noted. The author is more focused on being a discount agent in her private practice. She is also is very focus on the technical aspects of real estate and real estate law. It is like taking the real estate exam all over again. I was not looking for hours of useless information like in liscensing school. I was hoping she was going to share really solid techniques to make more money but alas they where limited.
I would recommend Success as a Real Estate Agent for Dummies by Dirk Zeller. It is well constructed and packed with how to's and systems to increase your income. His insights into prospecting, lead follow up, time management and sales presentations is outstanding. A truly must read for any agent. Save you money on this book and invest it into the "original" guide the Dummies book.

I thought this book was very educational on the basics of real estate. How to get started, what a single day in real estate would be like and much more. If you are considering becoming a real estate agent, this book is a must read to make sure that is what you want to do.

I have recently become licesed and atained both a sales person and a brokers license. I thought the advice on how to pass the state exam was rubbish... here is the best advice ...study till you know the material and then take the test.
The rest of the book was amaturish at best and I will just donate it to our local vets on the next charity drive

This is a good book for the beginning Rookwood collector. But for those more interested in the earlier, artist produced pieces, this book will be no help as it focuses more on the later mass production wares.

Scholarship adds to book value!.......2002-03-15

This book is an absolute must for the Rookwood collector. The most complete survey of Rookwood figurals and paperweights available in the book marketplace today. The book gives very accurate market value estimates for each item and ranks each item's rarity from "never seen" to "common". The authors, however, deserve great praise for the scholarship which allowed them to identify the Finisher's responsible for the "Finisher's marks" occasionally impressed into the bottom of some Rookwood pieces. Having potter's names associated with these marks insures additional valuation increases for many examples of Rookwood pottery both artist signed and production. A terrific book and a great addition to any collector's library!

An Excellent Book for the Collector.......2007-10-05

This is a nice book for the collector, particularly one who is fairly new to the hobby. It covers most of the more popular makers of the 19th and 20th century. Paperweights have been on the go for a relatively short space of time, about 150 years give or take a year and initially started out to serve the purpose for which they were originally designed, a weight to hold down paper on a desk. A useful implement in the days of pen and paper.

Very soon after they started being produced they became more and more complex and attractive with each factory striving to outdo their rivals. There are few people who fail to be fascinated by a good paperweight, particularly the Millefiori type which comprise of small canes of glass of varying shapes and colours, sealed into what initially was a molten lump of glass.

The various forms of weights, millefiori as we have just mentioned, Sulphides, Lampwork and Dumps (the large green domes of glass that were often used as doorstops in their larger sizes), are all mentioned. Plus information on how to start collecting and differentiating between the different makers, not always easy, even for the expert.

One part of the book that did appeal to me in particular were the pages that showed the different cane designs for the different makers. This is an excellent aid to identifying paperweights that you are unsure of and I have used this method more than once myself.

At the height of her career, actress Charlotte Cushman (1816-76) was one of the most famous women in the English-speaking world. Cushman challenged Victorian notions of gender in her stage portrayals of male characters and of strong, androgynous female characters. Offstage, she was a powerful businesswoman who supported her family, women lovers, and friends.

Lisa Merrill examines Cushman's personal correspondence to shed new light on the actress's relationships and in turn on our understandings of the nature of women's "romantic friendships." She demonstrates how Cushman's androgynous presence served as a symbol to many of her contemporaries, and revealed their multiple and often contradictory attitudes toward female performers, women, and the unspeakable possibilities of same-sex desire.

The biography draws upon unpublished archival material as well as on current critical work to view Cushman's career, relationships, and posthumous reception.
