Wonderful pictures. For the price, you can't beat the quality of this book. The information is given in short simple decriptions; you're not going to learn to be a master gardener reading this book. It is as if you are peaking over a neighbor's fence and sharing ideas. If you like to save seed catalogs because they are so pretty then you need this book.

This is a beautifully inspirational book. It is a wonderful "place" to retreat on a cold or rainy day, or enjoy on the porch when the days are sunny and warm. Even if my gardens are never transformed into the relaxing beauty of those presented, it will remain what I call a "daydream" book. Truly enjoyable and relaxing.

Good Afternoon.

Say I just wanted to say, we loved your "Off the Beaten Path" British Columbia. Recently, my husband and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary and took a trip to British Columbia. And we used your book every step of the way and found there to be no errors within the contents (except a few increases in admission - and we called that life!). We even loved eating Halibut and Chips at Mad Trapper Neighborhood Pub. It's also thought it was funny we had taken several trips throughout the years and have never stopped at Marble Canyon wow I mean shout it out! That place is wonderful and will remain on our stopping list forever. I could go on and on about the material we found within the pages of your book. I've recommended it to several of our friends.

Perfect For Setting up Your First Aquarium!.......2007-09-14

A small book but it gets right to the point. Nice photos, not overly verbose. I inherited a 10 gallon aquarium with a hood & filter. Wanted to set it up for my son and knew the whole family would enjoy it. I don't want to study fish in depth (at least not at this point). I just wanted to know the basics - ie: what do I need to do and in what order. Nice feature of this book is that it has an example of how to stock a tropical community aquarium of various sizes. I went right the the list and was given 2 sets of fish to purchase and instructed how far apart to do this. After doing more reading, wondering how good this list really was, I discovered that a great deal of thought had gone into these examples. The first group of fish selected were known to be extremely hardy, resistant to higher levels of ammonia and varying ph. They are also nice small, non-agressive fish that are lively. The amount of reading and research required to select all these groupings for the various tank sizes is substantial and completely unnecessary as all the work has been done for you. If you want to learn more at a later date and make changes, additions, etc., additional reading references are included in the back of the book. You are told exactly what items you truly "need" to set up and maintain your first aquarium and you don't have to sift through pages and pages of information to get it. This is an invaluable book for folks who just want to get an aquarium up and running so that they can enjoy it.

A good book for beginners, not to be overlooked because of its size. It contains some very useful information, however is not for the more experienced hobbyist. A small section that lists different fish that can be kept in community is a very good reference for anyone who is just starting out in the aquarium hobby.

not so bad... come on guys..........2003-02-08

I couldn't help but smile while reading this book. I found it to be a fresh outlook on Bjork. Instead of hearing someone who knew everything, we see Bjork through the eyes of someone who started out knowing nothing about her. It's a first hand evolution of the bjork fan. I find it to be almost a representation of the crossing over into that place where it is hard to return. Once I became a fan, I was a fan for life, and I admire this author for sharing this raw, intimate experience she had. I enjoyed the book, and I feel it only brought me closer to Bjork's music. I think every Bjork fan could relate to this book.

Double yaaaaaaaawn.......2003-01-05

While I must admire the author for trying to write a book about Bjork, I began to wonder if she really was, or was just trying to write about her social view towards God knows what. I mean I know it's trendy and all but Labeling this and that conservative and calling former mayor Rudy Guliani an ---hole was not only in bad taste but has nothing to do with the book. If she wants express her liberal ideology kaka she needs not look far, just don't put it in a biography about Bjork, who is quite the fox I might add.

Wow, who would of thought a book about the awesome BJORK would be dull. Instead of getting some interesting facts about Bjork, all we hear are the author's opinions over and over and over and over. It's like this, "Yadda yadda yadda yadda yabba dabbo do!" Boring!! Like fans don't already know how great she is. I put this book down after the first two chapters. All the information that IS in the book you can get from the Bjork webring. Don't waste your money, instead just buy the OFFICIAL BJORK book. Great stuff! heheheheh.
