Book Description
The Iberian peninsula is one of the richest botanical regions of Europe. The Flowers of South-West Europe is an unique field guide, describing over 2,400 different flowering plants which can be found in the region. Hundreds of line drawings, colour photographs, and detailed keys are included for easy identification. The book also provides, at first hand, a unique account of the best plant-hunting areas of the region. The provision of maps, photographs of the landscape, and double-page spreads of local plants will give readers a lively idea of where to go and what to look for. First published in paperback in 1988, this classic text by Oleg Polunin - one of the foremost British botanists of his generation - has never been superseded. No other comparable guide to the flora of south-west Europe exists. This reissued version will delight all botanists, gardeners, conservationists, and naturalists with an interest in the flowering plants of the Iberian peninsula, as well as holiday makers in this popular region wishing to learn more about its flora.

Great Book!.......2004-06-08
A lot of great info you won't find in the "standard" travel books. Good historical stuff too.
A Tourist's Bible of Black New York.......2002-04-01
This is a great book for anyone who visits New York City and wants to walk in the footsteps of Africans and African Americans. The guide helps you to understand the important contributions of black people past and present. The information is quite comprehensive and includes well-written descriptions of historic sites, restaurants and cultural venues.
Anyone who wants to know about African Americans in New York City will find value in this wonderful guide.
You Gotta Have It Guide to Black New York.......2001-12-15
This book is fantastic!! It has everything - history, culture, restaurants, live music, shopping, guided tours and lots of valuable information about black New York. Everyone knows about the Statue of Liberty, Broadway, Times Square and all the other sites that tourist visit, but Discovering Black New York explores places that I was not aware of, like the Joloff and Brooklyn Moon restaurants in Brooklyn, Sylvan Terrace in Harlem and the African American Museum in Hempstead, Long Island.
It's written in a friendly inviting way, that inspires you to visit all the great places in the book. I loved this book!!!!

Business Basics Bestseller 1: The Easy, Interesting, Open-book Look at the Game of Business Numbers! 2nd Edition
If you are looking for a book to introduce you to the basics of business including the jargon behind the numbers and where all the formulas come from before you plow into a true "finance and accounting text," search for "Business Basics Bestseller 1" and add it to your consideration. If you have never had this stuff 'splained' to you before, you will like it. This is not a suggestion that you substitute it for this text, just that you check it out as well.
Look no further.......2000-05-27
If you are to be studying Accounting and Finance as an auxiliary unit, this one is the best. It is written in an accessible style with not a little consideration for the needs of the student, yet quite a good amount of information is here.

Marketing Management and Strategy (4th Edition)
ASIN: 0750664010 |
Book Description
This book is designed primarily for middle and junior managers who deal with financial information without really understanding the content and for students who are studying accounting as a non-specialist subject, for example on a business studies or engineering course. The book will serve as a basic reference to be used throughout the course. It will also be particularly helpful in providing the basic grounding that is required before moving on to the more technical and in-depth study of the subject that may be required on some courses. Students who are embarking on a course of study to become a professional accountant will find this book of major benefit.
The book covers the basic principles and techniques of both financial and management accounting, assuming that the reader has no prior knowledge of the subjexts.
Written in a clear and concise style the book explains accounting principles and terminiology without the use of technical jargon. There are plenty of opportunities for readers to test their progress with regular review and self-test questions.
The second edition includes new material throughout and the number of practical exercises and real-life examples has been expanded. This edition also reflects the requirement for all EU listed companies to comply with International Finacial Reporting Standards.
Janet Walker is a Visiting Lecturer in the Faculty of Finance at Cass Business School. She also presents financial awareness courses for CIMA and for other organisations and presents financial awareness seminars in house for a whide varitey of companies.
* Clear and easy to read
* Does not use jargon
* Focuses on the principles and use of accounting information, rather than the technical detail
* Provides material for self-testing with review questions throughout to assess progress at each stage
* Many fully worked exercises and examples

The text blends theory and practice by stressing the underlying concepts and context of accounting and supplemented by working examples to illustrate key issues.
Customer Reviews:
This is the BEST Accounting book.......2004-02-18
The book title says 'Accounting for non-specialists', but I think this book can be used by everyone. Even if you are an expert this book will give you those useful tips on how to remember those small details.
For rookies in accounting, it will take you step by step, never will you feel like you are the only person on earth who does not know the meaning of Debit or Credit.
Book Description
Business Accounting and Finance for Non Specialists is aimed at non-specialist students of accounting and finance on a first course in the subject. It gives a lively and wide-ranging survey of the basic principles of finance, financial accounting and management accounting. The unique approach taken in the first Section of the book is to look at small to medium sized business organisations and their role in the economy - how they are set up, factors in their success and failure and how they source funds for expansion. This leads to discussion of the role of financial markets and their need for financial information. Sections 2 and 3 then give an account of financial and management accounting principles, respectively. The text is clearly written and technical jargon is minimal - any technical terms are clearly explained and a glossary of terms is provided. The book does not present the hurdle of double-entry bookkeeping at an early stage - students can progress through the book without double-entry. Illustrative case studies and reference to real-life business examples are used to bring the technical information to life. Business Accounting and Finance for Non-specialists includes a large number of worked examples, to give students valuable practice in using their new skills. Other pedagogic elements include aims and learning outcomes, summaries, Case Studies with questions and solutions, individual learning activities, self-test questions with answers provided in the book, and exercises - the answers to which are divided between the book and the Lecturer's Guide/Website.

With the rising popularity of UFO conspiracies and alien abductions, good books on low profile subjects such as cryptozoology have become scarce. Many people have relied on standards such as On the Track of Unknown Animals to explore the fringes of fauna, but Karl P.N. Shuker's From Flying Toads to Snakes with Wings is a more budget-conscious option. An accomplished zoologist, Shuker bypasses the hype found in the tabloids and leaves cryptozoological celebrities such as Big Foot and the Loch Ness monster behind; he concentrates only on the rarest of the rare. Shuker also provides a revealing glimpse at the detective work involved in deciphering the identities of creatures whose existences refuse to be denied, but who have been proclaimed extinct or relegated to myth and folklore. He constructs a formidable argument for the existence of new animal oddities not yet recognized by science, even in the late 20th century, and cites important discoveries from the 1990s. From Flying Toads to Snakes with Wings is sure to pique the curiosity of anyone interested in exotic specimens from the animal kingdom, and doesn't require a major financial investment or a degree in zoology.
Customer Reviews:
Rare Gems Just Waiting To Be Classified.......2007-04-05
Could the Dodo bird still be hiding out there? How about Blue Tigers in China? Some of the extremely interesting possibilities revealed in this book. Real can't put down reading, zoologist Karl Shuker is a leader of today's Cryptozoology investigation. Have enjoyed reading Mr. Shuker's articles in the Fortean Times for years.
Here Be Monsters.......2002-11-22
Cryptozoology, the study of undiscovered animals, is a relatively new science. One of its foremost pioneers is Karl Shuker, who has a doctorate in Zoology and Comparative Physiology from the University of Birmingham. Dr. Shuker has collected dozens of his cryptozoological articles in his book From Flying Toads to Snakes with Wings. The book is a fantastic journey through every corner of our planet. Throughout the journey the reader encounters a parade of rarely seen creatures, including: whale-sized sharks, man-eating elephants, and blue tigers. Dr. Shuker's writing style is educated and fanciful. The result is a book that can be enjoyed by cryptozoological novices and veterans alike.
The Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot are perhaps two of the world's most notorious cryptozoological entities. Dr. Shuker presents a far more diverse group of lesser-known creatures. In fact, two of his chapters deal with newly discovered animals and proven hoaxes. This impressive collection of creatures would appeal to anyone interested in animals or the unknown.
Dr. Shuker uses thorough scientific research and eyewitness accounts in each of his articles. For example, in his chapter devoted to sharks Dr. Shuker describes an incident involving a very large shark: " They told him that their series of heavily weighted three-and-a-half-foot crayfish pots had been carried away once by a shark of ghostly white coloration and so extraordinarily immense that they estimated its length to have been anything between 115 and 300 feet." Dr. Shuker then goes on to explain that recent research on fossilized megalodon (prehistoric shark) remains have proven that sharks over 50 feet did indeed exist, a mere 11,000 years ago. Dr. Shuker believes the fishermen who saw the shark were shocked and therefore exaggerated the shark's length. Most of the creatures discussed in the book appear to be highly elusive and rarely seen by man. Others like the monster salmon of China, 33 feet in length, are alive and well.
From Flying Toads to Snakes with Wings is skillfully divided into eighteen chapters. Each chapter discusses a certain type of monster, such as: mystery bears of the world, giant jellyfishes, and the graveyard of monsters. The book has many illustrations and contains illustration credits to help locate the source of an illustration. There is also a selected bibliography and an index of animal names. This book would be useful to zoology students, science-fiction writers, and passengers aboard a long plane trip. Dr. Shuker clearly explains scientific information and presents each animal with the enthusiasm of a proud father. The number of animals presented in the book is incredibly lengthy and richly diverse. It has provided countless hours of enjoyment, and the book itself has held up quite well, with minimal wear and tear.
From Flying Toads to Snakes with Wings sheds light on a subject not usually discussed. With this book Dr. Shuker has made a significant contribution to the field of cryptozoology. Dr. Shuker does not limit his research to the common lake monster; he discusses the existence of the Golden Fleece and the macabre eating habits of sheep during food shortages (they bite the heads off young birds). Dr. Shuker's book is a sometimes frightful, thrill ride through the zoo of the unknown.
Not just for Cryptozoology buffs.......2001-12-29
Although I've always been big on the paranormal, and supernatural, and all things abnormal, this was my first strictly cryptozoology book and I thuroughly enjoyed it. It's not the sort of thing you sit down and read strait through, but I had a hard time putting it down. It's fascinating and extremely well written, and very informative. It was a stroke of luck that I happened to run across it in the bookstore, and I think that anyone with even the slightest interest will be more than pleased.
Extremely useful RPG resource.......1999-12-02
While it appears that most of the previous reviews were from dedicated cryptozoology buffs, I had a much more "normal" use for this book. I run a role-playing game called "Conspiracy X" and I had just purchased the Cryptozoology sourcebook only to be dismayed by the lack of ...er... noncommon creatures (although there was plenty of Nessie, Bigfoot, et al.). I found this book here by accident and bought it and I have to say that I was plesantly suprised. Extremely well written and intelligent with all kinds of facts and tidbits that can be easily dropped right into a game. I'd recommend this book to anyone wanting to run an "X-Files"ish RPG.
Great Reading.......1999-06-02
I rank this book with Willy Ley's Exotic Zoology for delightful, yet level-headed reading that doesn't insult the reader's intelligence. Shuker ignores brainless sensationalism and writes with a mind that is at once open and analytical. His approach is that of a confirmed scientist who marvels at nature's capacity for producing known and yet-to-be revealed wonders. With a writing style that is relaxed and laced with subtle humor, "Flying Toads" is a book that is hard to put down and even harder to end.

Book Description
Extraordinarily clever ways to transform any ordinary T-shirt.
The pattern techniques are simple, and the supplies you’ll need are easy to find: T-shirts, scissors, sewing needle, and thread. The difficulty of each project is rated from 1 to 4, and none take more than 30 minutes to create. You’ll never look plain wearing a T-shirt and jeans again.
Customer Reviews:
Cut and wear.......2007-09-21
Nicely illustrated, BUT you probably won't make many of these. They are primarily for long-waisted, very young, very thin women who are showing more skin than most women should. Love handles and over-hanging bellies, girls, are just so NOT sexy. Besides, is sexy all we have to say about why someone should give us a second look?
snippers beware.......2007-09-19
The designs in this book certainly are creative and unique enough to make you think twice about trashing your vintage tees - but most of these projects are terribly impractical. There are no patterns, no mention of measurements(such as what size shirt will be needed to pull off the design or what size the shirt will end up being) and the instructions are vague. The entire book is illusrated, which suggests that the shirts may not work on 'real bodies' or that the results are not appealing enough to photograph. Without the use of elastics or zippers, I have to wonder how some of these shirts stay where they are supposed to. However, my biggest warning to potential readers and crafters is this: unraveling! Despite the eco-conscious message the book gives about recycling clothing, many of these designs are not built to last. Without finishing the cut edges with hems or tape, they are bound to roll up, tear, or unravel within a few washes.
Not for the larger gals, though........2007-07-31
This book is actually pretty cool. The designs are very fashion forward and I love the illustrations. Most of the tees are easy, too. HOWEVER, if you are not thin, these are pretty much not going to work. If you are bigger, or even I'd say if you weigh more than like 130 lbs (which is STILL pretty small), I'd stick with the "Generation T" book, because these designs look more like they're for really skinny girls (No, I'm not one of those skinny bashers, it's just the truth). I haven't found one idea in the "99 Ways" book that I would actually be able to wear myself without looking gross. It was disappointing that I wasn't able to use this book at all for myself. But there are really great ideas in here if you're smaller, and I'll keep the book because I can use it to make gifts for my skinny friends. It's a good book, in my opinion to have in your repertoire (hope I spelled that right), if just for t-shirt surgery practice!
Not entirely my favorite.......2007-05-27
Some of the designs are interesting but the directions are sometimes vague. If you can infer some construction plans from the sketches I think you'll be fine but as a whole there are a few more clearly written books likeGeneration T: 108 Ways to Transform a T-Shirt. Also most of these designs aren't built so that you can wear a bra with them (for you modest crafters).
good book.......2007-03-26
This book is perfect for teenages. Cute outfits can be created without a lot of money.
Book Description
Nothing beats the taste of fresh fruits and vegetables grown in your very own kitchen garden. In this superbly illustrated book, Richard Bird shows you how to make edible delights an integral part of your garden design in 20 step-by-step projects. Create a fragrant herb border, cultivate chiles in pots, fill hanging baskets with trailing tomatoes and edible flowers, or be adventurous and train beans or fruit trees to grow over arches and arbors.
Customer Reviews:
Totally non-evidenced based.......2007-03-03
I am a physician, recently diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia myself. I read this book at the local bookstore, hoping to find a good book on hypoglycemia. Although the book starts off well, it then leads to non-evidenced based recommendations that go as far as recommending to eliminate dairy products from your diet altogether, and recommending mega doses of many vitamins and supplements. I am a big fan of integrative medicine, but please, as with any medical advice, there needs to be more evidence to back up these claims that can lead to potential health problems (especially with the mega doses of vitamins). I do not recommend this book, and in fact find it irresponsible to title it "The Classic Healthcare Handbook, " when there is little or no evidence behind many of the "healthcare" recommendations they make.
This Book Changed My Life!!!!.......2007-01-14
The term "Hypoglycemia" is a misnomer! The word means low blood sugar, which is a temporary state not a disease. A better term would be "Glucose Hypersensitivity" If you are diagnosed with hypoglycemia, the first thing you should realize is that you don't have a disease you have a very effective pancreas. Calling someone sugar sensitive is equivalent to calling someone heroin sensitive. If someone is ingesting a highly refined toxic drug into their system, and not getting an extreme reaction, this person has the problem. Remember the only way to break an addition cycle from a highly addictive drug is complete abstinence, and refined carbohydrates are highly addictive. Read this book like your life depends on it!
Exellent Book!.......2004-01-11
There seems to be some disagreement in the reviews of the validity of this book. The foundation of this great book is the over "sugarization" of the American diet that is truly causing havoc to American health. I understand her positions on free range chickens, full spectrum light etc to get the most healthful food product. IMHO that is just a bit beyond the average busy person's time/tolerance for food shopping and preparation. The greatest value by far of this book is it's exposure of hypoglycemia as a serious health problem and its excellent breakdown of how to properly interpret the results of the glucose tolerance test. The disorder of hypoglycemia goes beyond "just having low sugar". Hypoglycemia ties to and creates a very large number of health and personality problems and this book documents that fact exceedingly well. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is overweight, diabetic (or going there),is depressed, has anxiety attacks, or just plain intersted in understanding why low carb is so popular and why it works.
Hypoglycemia, The Classic Healthcare Handbook.......2003-08-19
I did not find the information in this book helpful. I am a newly diagnosed Type II diabetic and I couldn't believe all the restrictions.
I would recommend the book, "The Insulin Resistance Diet", by Cheryle R. Hart, M.D. and Mary Kay Grossman, R.D. This book made sense.
Trying to Understand and Planning Accordingly!.......2002-10-10
I bought this book in hopes of being able to read it through with the teenage boy (14) that had recently been diagnosed with Hypoglycemia. The sheer panic that set in when he went into a seizure initially from this disease scared all of us. I wanted to be able to sit down with Albert and have this be a book that would both answer some questions and additionally invoke questions to be answered.
I initially had Albert read this on his own...he was completely lost, as I would have been at 14 years of age. This was something that I should have and would suggest to parents/friends in the future, to make sure they do...read it first.
Initially it seemed that there was alot of life changing activites that evolved surrounding this event. Gradually, however, it turned into something that was workable and livable with an extremly active 14 year old.
I would recommend this book to those who wish to get a quick education on hypoglycemia.

Book Description
John Frederick Charles Fuller (1878–1966), British soldier, military analyst, and war historian, is considered the father of modern armored (tank) warfare—first as planner of the attack at Cambrai in November 1917, and then as author of a number of works that challenged traditional British military thought. His ideas were resisted in his own country but had a major impact on German and Soviet military doctrine. Sir Basil Liddell Hart (1895–1970) was also a British military historian and analyst of note and authored influential military histories covering figures from Scipio Africanus to Field Marshal Rommel.
In the twelve analytical essays in Studies in British Military Thought Brian Holden Reid examines these two figures whose ideas have influenced the interpretation of events in military history from antiquity to the Cold War. He compares and contrasts their views on tactics, operational art and strategy, and war as a social phenomenon. Additionally, he discusses the radically different temperaments of the two and shows how their differences shaped their work in important ways. In so doing, he continues to bring their ideas to students and practitioners of modern warfare and raises fundamental issues concerning the nature of war.
Book Description
Lorenz Hart singlehandedly changed the craft of lyric writing. When Larry Hart first met Dick Rodgers in 1919, the commercial song lyric consisted of tired cliches and cloying Victorian sentimentality. Hart changed all that, always avoiding the obvious, aiming for the unexpected phrase that
would twang the nerve or touch the heart. Endowed with both a buoyant wit and a tender, almost raw sincerity, Hart brought a poetic complexity to his art, capturing the everday way people talk and weaving it into his lyrics. Songs had never been written like that before, and afterwards it seemed
impossible that songs would ever be written any other way.
Lorenz Hart: A Poet on Broadway presents the public triumphs of a true genius of the American musical theatre, and the personal tragedies of a man his friend the singer Mabel Mercer described as "the saddest man I ever knew." Author Frederick Nolan began researching this definitive biography in
1968, tracking down and interviewing Hart's friends and collaborators one by one, including a remarkable conversation with Richard Rodgers himself. A veritable who's who of Broadway's golden age, including Joshua Logan, Gene Kelly, George Abbott and many more, recall their uncensored and often
hilarious, sometimes poignant memories of the cigar-chomping impresario who composed some of the best lyrics ever concocted for the Broadway stage, but who remained forever lost and lonely in the crowds of hangers-on he attracted. A portrait of Hart emerges as a Renaissance and endearing bon vivant
conflicted by his homosexuality and ultimately torn apart by alcoholism.
Nolan skillfully pulls together the chaotic details of Hart's remarkable life, beginning with his bohemian upbringing in turn of the century Harlem. Here are his first ventures into show business, and the 24-year-old Hart's first meeting with the 16-year-old Richard Rodgers. "Neither of us
mentioned it," Rodgers later recalled, "but we evidently knew we would work together, and I left Hart's house having acquired in one afternoon a career, a best friend, and a source of permanent irritation." Nolan captures it all: the team's early setbacks, the spectacular hour long standing ovation
for their hit song, "Manhattan," the Hollywood years (which inspired Hart to utter the undying line, "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean the bastards aren't out to get you"), and the unforgettable string of hit shows that included "On Your Toes," "The Boys from Syracuse," and their
masterpiece, "Pal Joey." But while success made Rodgers more confident, more musically daring, and more disciplined, for Hart the rounds of parties, wisecracks, and most of all drinking began to take more and more of a toll on his work. When Hart's unreliability forced Rodgers to reluctantly seek
out another lyricist, Oscar Hammerstein II, and their collaboration resulted in the unprecedented artistic and commercial success of "Oklahoma," Hart never truly recovered.
Meticulously researched and rich with anecdotes that capture the excitement, the hilarity, the dizzying heights, and the crushing lows of a life on Broadway, Lorenz Hart is the story of an American original.

A notation and watch for this on television.......2001-05-12
The correct opening line of "My Romance" should be "My romance doesn't HAVE to have a moon in the sky" instead of "NEED to have a moon in the sky" as I incorrectly stated in my review here.
Also, in "Lady is a Tramp" I used the third person instead of the original first person usage to demonstrate the lyrics. The original "Lady is a Tramp" is written as "I get too hungry for dinner at eight. I like the theater but never come late...etc." I used the third person because it is the more familiar version.
AND AS A TESTAMENT to the timelessness of Rodgers and Hart's songs, listen to the current Ralph Lauren "Romance" perfume commercial. It features James Taylor and Carly Simon singing the opening and closing lines of "My Romance". It's a beautiful, heartfelt song nicely rendered by Taylor and Simon.
A Standing Ovation for Lorenz Hart!.......2001-05-09
Lorenz Hart is one of the finest lyricists in the history of American musical theater. He is largely responsible for elevating the process of writing lyrics into an art form. Before Hart, lyrics were usually trite and predictable with simplistic rhymes such as "I am blue, and so are you."
Hart wrote lyrics that are cerebral and sophisticated. His compositions are infused with wit and wisdom. He used complex rhymes. An example from "My Funny Valentine": "Your looks are laughable, unphotographable. Yet you're my favorite work of art. Is your figure less than Greek? Is your mouth a little weak? When you open it to speak, are you smart?"
Another example from "Bewitched": "I'm wild again, beguiled again, a whimpering simpering child again...." And yet another example from "Lady is a Tramp": "She gets too hungry for dinner at eight. She likes the theater but never comes late. She never bothers with people she hates. That's why the lady is a tramp."
Hart could be wistful and romantic as in "My Romance": "My romance doesn't need to have a moon in the sky. My romance doesn't need a blue lagoon standing by. No month of May. No twinkling star. No hideaway. No soft guitar."
Hart's lyrics are consistently observant and very often ingenious. They are the perfect match for the variety and intricacy of Richard Rodgers' superb music.
This biography is quite detailed with a number of amusing anecdotes. It is a must read for those who want to know more about this endearing, erratic, and gifted artist Lorenz Hart. His contributions to musical theater are profound and timeless.

Customer Reviews:
Beautiful Art - Horrible Book Design!.......2000-04-04
This book contains beautiful photographs of Hart's sculpture and wonderful essays. The copy I ordered from Amazon arrived only yesterday, and after leafing through it, I was stunned by an egregiously poor design choice by the publisher.
The full color photograph of "Ex Nihilo", perhaps Hart's most moving piece, is centered between 2 pages! Split down the middle by the binding! How in the world can a fine art book publisher do this ? Other art texts, National Geographic, even Playboy (for pity's sake!) publish large format photographs using a fold-out leaf. Yes, fold-out leaves are more likely to become torn, or detached with use; but the reader's enjoyment, not preservation concerns, should drive layout and design decisions.
I was also disappointed that no full color photos of the finished "Daughters of Odessa" were in the book. There are photographs of studies, and a b&w photo in the catalog raisonne, but the effect is not the same.
I probably will keep this book; but I certainly won't be buying an art book from this publisher again! If I had it to do over, I would check the book out from the library.
America's Rodin or Michaelangelo with photos of w.i.p........2000-01-06
Hart's West Facade of National Cathedral on the subject of Creation is the most famous piece of American scupture. ("Liberty," after all, will always be French.) The name of this piece is "Ex Nihilo" -- from nothing. The book has a wonderful photograph of "Ex Nihilo." Of course, our local rag The New York Times published a full magazine-page copy of this picture with left and right reversed and artificial green-tinted coloring. Typical New York always-in-a-hurry carelessness. ------ The work itself is astonishing. Everything given, nothing held back or calculated to please a critic. All driven by faith. A return to what is meant by the term masterpiece. Hart's personal items and the items of religious expression are sampled with his own favorites. ----- Enjoy ! This is a sweet book.
Comprehensive Overview of the World's Best Renowned Sculptor.......1999-09-27
This book offers readers a complete overview of the world's most well renowned sculptor. Frederick Hart, who passed away suddenly last month, August 1999, created such famous works as the "Three Soldier's Bronze Sculpture in the Washington Public Gardens," "El Nihilo," the three phase triangular scluptures over the entrance to the National Cathederal, in Washington D.C. Maybe the most controversal sculpture Mr. Hart completed, "El Nihilo," was featured in the movie "Devil's Advocate" and was depicted in a lured, and distastful manner. The Hart Foundation sued the production company of "Devil's Advocate," with Al Pacino, the Hart Foundation won it's legal suit, and a disclaimer was placed on all Devil's Advocate's videos disclosing the "El Nihilo" sculpture was not used with The Hart's Foundation approval. Frederick Hart also created and invented the art technology of "double embedded lucite sculpture." This process involved creating a three dimensional free form floating sculpture "floating" within the lucite sculpture itself. Anyone who has ever viewed one of Mr. Hart's three dimensional sculpture's, know the incredible beauty and art that lay within his limited production of sculptures. The book can not honestly show the amazing detail of the "three dimensional double imbedded process" that Mr. Hart created. He and his work will be forever remembered as the finest bronze and lucite sculptor in the world to date. This book is a tribute to his master creations, depiction of his artwork, and ultimately a truly inspirational attestment to one of the world's greatest artists of all time.
