As a primary document one has to find this useful to some extent but it's devoid of personal or ideological commentary and contains hardly any real description of action; the author was mostly just jotting notes down to himself. Not really recommended.

I was Hospitalized last year for Lymphoma.Iwas so ill chances of survival were slim.The Doctors had to remove my spleen,for they could of not saved it from the disease.I heared about essiac Tea.I had nothing to loose at this point.I had a friend bring it in to the Hospital were I was at.The remarkable difference the tea made, made me a true believer in it.It has been 6 months since I first took my first drink from it and to this day I am still drinking it daily.I have not missed a day.Now 6 months have passed and the Doctors say they got 99% of the disease.There is still 1% left,but from the day I was diagnosed,I could not be any happier.They say it is uncurrable,but If I can get it in remission that is good enough for me.Thank you essiac Tea and to all my friends that stood by me in the Hospital and are still with me today fighting this disease.And to a very special friend Kenny,that helped me efford the tea during a very hard time of money.And also a very special thanks to my ex-Husband and my children that gave me hope and comfort again.This is not a easy disease to swallow but stick in there.There is hope.Thank you for the time to have let me share my feelings.Thank you Essiac Tea.

Straight Talk about Essiac.......1999-12-20
This book is a no frills, frank discussion of the use of essiac to build up the immune system so the body can fight cancer and many other immune related diseases. The history of the discovery of native use of essiac by Rene Caisse and how she was able to use it successfully to help a large number of people is very encouraging to potential users of essiac today. I have purchased several copies of this book and given them away to cancer sufferers who have immediately began using the tea with great trust and hope. The odds of being helped by essiac presented in this book are so much better than most cancer patients could imagine that they are eager to try it. Every cancer patient should read this book and then make up their mind about how they wish to combat their disease!

One the Southwest's most famous restaurants.......2003-11-05
I remember eating at the Pink Adobe before it was so fashionably famous; Santa Fe gets a lot of celebrity visitors and the Pink Adobe is a favorite spot to see and be seen.
The recipes are gourmet, but also typical of the Southwest; Posole (hominy and pork stew), Gazpacho, Turkey Mole. There are a lot of good salad recipes here, too. Many of them have a lot of mayonnaise, so are adaptable to low-carb diets. And there is a good discussion of chiles, from Anaheim, Poblano to Pequin and how to roast a green chile, skin it and freeze it for use later. If you like Southwestern cooking, which is spicy but not like Tex-Mex, this may interest you.

This is by far the best cook book, southwest or therwise, I have ever owned. The pages are falling out now, but trust me, if you can get a copy, you will receive rave reviews for your cooking. It's simple and elegant, for everyday or entertaining. Fix the chicken enchiladas and black beans and rice - everyone will want your secret! GET THIS BOOK!
Simply succulent, easy southwest cooking from a pro!.......1999-05-27
I first learned of the "Pink Adobe" from a television segment on PBS entitled "Great Chefs", Ms. Murphy was a featured guest. She made cooking look simple and easy, combining fresh, quality ingredients to create a finished product in what seemed like no time at all. I bought the "Pink Adobe Cookbook" and fell in love with the easy to follow recipes that utilized fresh quality ingredients to perfection. The variety of recipes is good. I once prepared a buffet of everything from appetizers, main courses, stews, and desserts only using Ms. Murphy's book. Great for those who like adventure in cooking and eating!

Book will NOT teach you about growing Bonsai in the desert.......1998-12-17
This book is little more than a historical review of old newsletters from the Phoenix Bonsai Society. I sincerely doubt it would have any appeal to a non-member. It is not a book on techniques for growing Bonsai in a desert climate. Rather, it is a trivia and date laden, difficult to follow, historical overview/ramble on garden societies, Asian-Americans in America, with vast and (to my mind, uninteresting) lists of old members, who's plant won at what competition, and reminiscences of old meetings. If there are any tips on actually growing Bonsai in a desert environment, I was unable to find them in approximately thirty minutes of effort, and frankly, after skiming the book I had no desire to actually attempt to read it cover to cover. Good Luck.
A history of the club with essentially no bonsai info........1998-12-17
The book would have general interest for those who belonged to the Phoenix club and wanted a record of its history. However, I purchased the book based on the "review" provided by Amazon.com, in which it was implied that desert bonsai techniques were discussed. After much digging through the book, I found nothing on what it takes to grow and maintain bonsai in desert environs. If there was any cultivation information, it was well masked by the historical text. In summary, both the title and the "review" were misleading. All in all, very unhelpful. I have sent the book back for a refund.

A fantastic and detailed journey through the history of one of the greatest music sensations of the 20th century. Anyone who wants to really know about this incredible band should read this work compiled by the the manager of the Queen Fan Club and Queen's official discographer. Jampacked with information about the band. Beginning with info about the lives of the four talented musicians who made up Queen : Freddie Mercury , Roger Taylor , Brian May and John Deacon. We see that Taylor , May and Deacon all had BSC Honours Degrees. The life of Freddie Mercury makes particularly interesting reading. Born Farookh Bulsara , of Persian parents Bomi and Jer Bulsara , on 5 September 1946 , on the small spice island of Zanzibar.
In 1954 , at the tender age of eight , Freddie was shipped off from Zanzibar to St Peter's English Boarding School in Panchgani outside Bombay. During his time at Ealing , Freddie formed his first band , the Hectics , which played only within the school at fetes , parties and school dances. After taking his O Levels at St Peters Freddie returned to Zanzibar , but his family fled the island in 1964 , along with many other Indians and British when the African Marxists launched a violent revolution. The Bulsaras moved to Feltham , Middlesex in England and in September 1966 , Freddie began a graphic illustrating course at Ealing College of Art. In 1969 Freddie joined a Liverpool band named Ibex , which played a selection of cover version songs by the Beatles , Rod Stewart and Yes. He had also met Tim Staffel , who together with Brian May and Roger Taylor , had a band named Smile. Freddie later formed his own band Wreckage. A few months later , Freddie disbanded Wreckage and in 1970 , formed Queen together with Brian May and Roger Taylor. The following year the band where joined by John Deacon. The rest is music history , and the book traces Queen's development from a unique inside view, full of colour pictures and exclusive interviews .We feel we are watching the history of the band unfolding. We read of the Bands first triumph in Japan , where they first achieved Superstar status. Of the bands friendship with David Bowie and their meeting in 1977 with Groucho Marx , of Freddies friendship with Michael Jackson and Elton John among others and of John Deacon's friendship with tennis great , John Mac Enroe.
The last chapter is about the tragic death of Freddie Mercury from AIDS after having fought a brave battle against the disease.
I particularly enjoyed reading about the golden years of the Super 1970s.
Queen Rule The World!.......2000-09-26
The complete and virtually unabridged biography of the greatest band of all time is a must-have for any fan. It details the lifes of Freddie, Brian, John and Roger from their respective births, and leaves little out (apart from the malicious gossip that so frequently found in the tabloid papers about them).
The book is written by Jacky Smith (nee Gunn), the manageress of the Offical International Queen Fan Club (which is now the longesy running fan club of all time) and Jim Jenkins, a long time fan who was at most of the concerts Queen ever gave, so the authority from both people is a good one. You cane expect everything in the book to be completetly factual, and absolutley respectful to Queen and their families.

Since everyone else has given this book such good reviews i cant help doing the same, this book really explain the things worth to know about the legendarious rock band Queen. From their very first song and how Brian with his father built his very special guitar to the sad end for Freddie. A whole lot of pictures and things we fanatics really like. Just great book!

If you are a Queen 'FANATIC", or just a newbie looking into a possible interest in the band Queen, this book is for you. From the very beginning we see each band member grow up and come together. We see how this great enigma became, and how so tragically it ended. I have read this book more than 5 times, and plan to read it some more. Kudos to Jackie!!

It is assumed that the buyer of this book either has or is planning to cultivate an interest in Queen, one of the most successful bands of the past two decades. Such a reader will not be disappointed; this book sidesteps the temptation of becoming a tabloid-style biography and instead focusses on real facts. I bought this book after talking to Dorit Whiteman at her book signing at the Holocaust Museum and seeing her engrossing presentation at a library. She is an utterly charming and thoroughly knowledgeable individual! Her book expertly weaves together history with the true story of a how a resourceful, clever boy repeatedly gave the slip to German and Russian forces. I stayed up all night reading this book even though I already knew the end!
