Book Description
This is the Kennedy Family as you've never seen them before. Their name is synonymous with power and privilege. No other American family has known the public scrutiny of the Kennedys. And now the reputation of the Kennedy name rests on the shoulders of its third generation. Includes never before seen family photos, and a new chapter on JFK Jr.'s tragic death.

If This One Was A Friend the Kennedy's Dont Need More Enemies.......2005-07-23
Wow, I was a little suprized at this book.I like other are semi intrigued by the Kennedy's( I go through spurts LOL) I thought that Barbara Gibson would write a true story about the family since she was so intimatley connected to them. This was really horrible!(I can understand why some of the Kennedy's don't read any books about their family after this book)She had nothing nice to say about one Kennedy...Caroline and John like the rest of our generation maybe tried out drugs(pot, ups, diet pills)but certainly were not drug addicts as it seems to allude to in the book. Caroline and John(RIP) seemed to be brought up very well. Even if you did not like Jackie, she raised two good, solid adults who by all outward appearances seem humble. So what Caroline tried to get to the head of an ice cream line by using her name....What KID wouldn't try that if it might work? LOL Somehow I dont see her doing this once she became an adult. I cant even picture her trying to cut the line, she seems like a very dignified lady, as was her mother. Ditto Maria Shriver. I saw an intimate portrait of her and she too seems humble. She was 17 when she got a little annoyed at Barbara Gibson because she would not let Maria drive Granny's car..C'mon this is the best you have on Maria, and you label her a brat. I dont see her shoving people out of the way either. What they did as kids we all did, just on a smaller stage and a smaller scale. I was a brat from 13 to about 18 and I am super glad no one is writing about me.I do feel sorry for Ethel Kennedy. From several different books she sounded obnoxious from the word go...talk about power going to your head..and you never hear any real positive stories about her children, yet I am sure some of them have contributed to the world at large. Ethel could have learned a thing or two about parenting from Jackie and Eunice Shriver. Even poor Sarge Shriver is attacked in this book as a snob!(Maybe he appeared snobby so he could not be misquoted, and he kept his mouth shut) Poor man. Anyway if you want to read a book that tears down this family as much as possible, this is the book to buy (LOL), otherwise save your money and buy one that would give a fair picture overall.
Mean Spirited, Critical, and Irritating.......2001-07-30
Having read and enjoyed Barbara Gibson's story about working with Rose Kennedy during the matriarch's later years -- and the related stories of the fun and foibles of the clan's grandchildren -- I anticipated a more in-depth chronicle here about the lives and significant contributions and problems of the grandchildren-generation of America's Kennedy clan.
It was a bloodbath.
Whereas Gibson sounds as though she enjoyed her job despite the frustrations of working in such self-centered and affluent milieu in her book about Rose, this book presents those same grandchildren as selfish, snobbish, hedonistic hellcats with thorough disregard for the lives of those around them... resulting from their sub-par parenting courtesy of their abused, neglected, drug-addicted folks and hell-bent-on-success grandparents.
This is a textbook of intergenerational blame.
The redeeming qualities of this book include its attempt at even handedness (for example, the author does note that with few exceptions, Maria Shriver did in fact earn her journalistic distinction on her own... and that Caroline and John Kennedy were basically good children, exceptions to the Kennedy rule) and its historical validity; based on my experience reading every other Kennedy biography I can get my hands on, most of Gibson's factual information is accurate.
However, allegations that Rosemary Kennedy never was retarded ring false to me (Gibson claims Rosemary was merely unacceptably mediocre as well as dyslexic... seems to me that other Kennedy children were similarly underendowed in priority areas, but no one wanted to lobotomize THEM -- except maybe Gibson herself). The word "hate" and its relative "hatred" are flung around with reckless abandon, classifying everything from Ethel's feelings about her son David to Rose's reaction to Kym to Jackie's response to John Jr.'s potential acting career.
The author truly seems to hate this family, to use her already overused adjective. Obviously, she anticipated a windfall of money to make such a distasteful book worth her time, or maybe her co-author bewitched her... but there are more judicious Kennedy biographies out there, ones that manage to highlight accomplishments of this very accomplished family without seeming to relish their weaknesses, proclivities, deviations, or vulnerabilities.
Get this from the library.
Watching The Younger Generations Self-destruct.......2001-01-10
In spite of the title, a good portion of the book is devoted to a repetition of familiar family history centering on Joe, Rose, Jack, Bobby and Teddy. This book is not friendly to the Kennedys. It will be most interesting to those who enjoy watching members of the younger Kennedy generations self-destruct.
one of the worst books ever written about the Kennedys.......2000-08-07
This book should never have been written. It is poorly researched, riddled with inaccuracies, and so relentlessly anti-Kennedy that it induces mental nausea. Ms. Gibson has made capital out of her secretarial job, but neither her pontificating nor the scuttlebutt of "household staff" is worth reading.
A Waste of Money!.......2000-01-04
While I don't have an overwhelming delight nor animosity towards the Kennedy family, I believe that the author, Barbara Gibson, does. Writing this book provides her with an opportunity to bash a former employer. The book is poorly written with regurgitated passages throughout. It also contains typos that should have been easily caught during proofing. Example: Anthony Shriver "was born in 1965..." Further down on the same page you will find this sentence: "In February 1965, he was quoted in People magazine..." Please! If you are going to take my money at least get your product correct.
Bottom line - Don't waste your money or your time on this book.

Book Description
Art. Gay and Lesbian Studies. Autobiography. PAINTING MOMENTS tells the true-life story of Nick Palazzo, a brilliant and prolific young painter who died of AIDS before his thirtieth birthday. From a series of essays and interviews as well as extensive excerpts from the artist's diaries, the particulars of his all-too-brief life are revealed. "Blind in one eye.... Breathing seems to take so much trouble. Life is doubled, tripled, quadrupled. Because of death. One out of a zillion chances of getting struck by lightning. Why did I get struck by lightning zillions and zillions of times? I wish I were stronger than lightning." PAINTING MOMENTS includes 16 color plates of the artist's work. Mary Melfi is a writer who lives and works in Montreal, Quebec.

A great but heartbreaking read........2004-07-09
Nick's difficult life and his coping with love, betrayal, death and AIDS are wonderfully described in excerpts from his diary. Some passages are emotionally tough. Although the diary passages are by far the best part, this book also includes some prints of Nick's paintings, and interviews with friends, family and several art critics.

The Perfect Book?.......2006-12-08
OK, not quite perfect, yet this book pieced together a lot of concepts I had previously been missing. It's a fictionalization of how insiders/ outsider did/may have acted during the TASR phenomenon.
This book is a perfect complement to some of the other classics such as O'niel's and Darvis's. It will fill in some of the missing bigger picture of how insiders and outsiders may be acting and reacting to these phenomenon's.
This is not a 'get rich quick book' nor 'yet another how to invest book'. This is an indepth look at one perfect stock and provides many complements to other literature out there. If you get some program and look at the chart and the buy points, the amount you could learn from him is specatacular. Also, I really liked the section on the outsiders, as it shows many of the mistakes people make. He also has another book called 'The Perfect Speculator' which tells a little more about how to look for stocks like TASR.
Entertaining, boring, amusing, tiring.......2005-12-06
I was hoping the author would share his trading style in more details but that was not to be. Although, one can extract part of his trading system, the meat and potatoes is left out. I have traded successfully for many years and have found most narrative books on investing to belong to two categories: educational or amusing. Unfortunately the author fails to educate the user on why and how he trades and loses his audience half way through the book with long winded descriptions of the characters and events surrounding the trade.
Mr. Koteshwar needs to try again but this time he needs to address the nuts and bolts of his trading style. Good luck.
An Insider's Insights Within a Business Narrative.......2005-07-08
In recent years, there have been several books published which focus on what is generally referred to as "the business narrative." They include Annette Simmons' The Story Factor and three written by Stephen Denning: The Springboard, Squirrel, Inc., and The Leader's Guide to Storytelling. I mention this because Koteshwar uses narrative to examine a number of real-world situations with devices normally employed by fiction writers. In this volume, we have no mice searching for relocated cheese or squirrels quarreling over strategy and positioning. Rather, Koteshwar shares with his reader various lessons which can be learned from successful and (especially) from unsuccessful investments in the stock market. Others are better qualified than I to comment on Koteshwar's expertise. I shall limit my attention to what I found of greatest value.
First, Koteshwar makes a convincing case for having patience, either when trading stocks or when tracking those another has purchased for you. Also, he leaves little doubt that trading requires far more attention (e.g. research) than many investors are willing and/or able to commit. For that reason, the selection of a broker seems at least as important as the selection of a given stock in which to invest. However, Kateshwar helps investors such as I to understand the rules of what really is an immensely complicated "game." Scores are kept. There are winners and losers. Timing and luck are often key factors. That said, it is highly desirable to understand the "rules" of stock trading, either when selecting investments or collaborating which an intermediary. Also, Kateshwar disabused me of my tendency to think of "Wall Street" as a location where financial "wizards" resemble medieval alchemists who convert "base metals into gold." Finally, Kateshwar helped me to understand that there is no "perfect" stock. However, if selected with meticulous care, there is for almost any investor a stock (or stocks) most appropriate to that investor's specific circumstances, resources, timetable, and ultimate objective(s).
Invoking athletic metaphors, I presume to suggest that some investors are sprinters, others are milers, and still others are marathoners. The shorter the course, the greater the rewards...and yes, the risks. To me, the compelling value of Kateshwar's book is derived from his behind-the-scenes insights into the investment process. His business narrative is by no means riveting but consistently informative. No mean feat.
In Search of the Perfect Stock and Pitfalls Along the Way .......2005-04-14
Amid the sounds of the surf California sun-tanned young men and women dream of the perfect wave as they surf in the Pacific Ocean. There is something closely akin to this in financial markets. It is the quest for the perfect stock. Investors envision that ideal experience, and with one distinct difference between the financial dream and the quest for the perfect wave. Investing in the perfect stock under the right circumstances can bring with it all those trappings of wealth, those champagne wishes and caviar dreams that Robin Leach spoke about in his hit television series of a few years ago, "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous."
Veteran financial analyst Brad Koteshwar in "The Perfect Stock" writes about the search for that dream among investors, the modern day equivalent of gold prospectors deluging California in the nineteenth century. The book is based on how a 7000% move was set up, started and finished in an astounding 52 weeks, and what it took to bring about such a fantastic result.
Koteshwar's book would be worth reading for just a few of the homilies he passes along after a long background experience, but there is much more. He examines the entire psychology behind the stock market and how shrewd analysts from the biggest companies, using superb marketing technology and incorporating investment ploys they hope those from outside their small orbit will never learn, benefit from this intelligently applied teamwork while the vast body of investors swept up in a continuing frenzy meet with economic failure.
The word Koteshwar stresses throughout and the one used by seasoned market professionals willing to share their knowledge with others is "patience." In the personal examples the author uses of individuals swept away in their pursuit of the perfect stock, Taser in this instance, the fictional one that the author tracks in his analysis of broad market impulses, this is the word that is either unspoken or, in the rare instances that it is, is considered anathema.
It is understandable why these excited investors, swept along by an emotional tide, do not want to hear the word patience. As Koteshwar points out, those marketing the stocks are aware of human nature and play their hand consistently in that direction. The whole psychology behind American progress and innovation was predicated on taking a chance. Rather than waiting patiently, working diligently to achieve quick and comprehensive results, many believe that a jackpot stock market payoff lies just around the corner as long as an investor acts quickly.
Knowing human psychology, marketing is shrewdly crafted to convince investors that opportunities are limited and that only the swiftest participants win the race. It is therefore imperative to jump aboard at the earliest point. Rather than encourage investors to study the book value of a company listed on the stock exchange to determine if there is commensurate real value behind the current price of the company under consideration, fast talking salesmen seek to convince potential investors that they will rue the day that they failed to act on opportunity if they do not move swiftly.
This psychology is exploited in two different directions. If the stock is relatively new, the promotion campaign is getting off the ground and activity is just commencing, then the argument is that one needs to get in on the ground floor as the stock is preparing to take off like a rocket. If it has already been elevated in price and has been available for awhile the argument shifts to a more urgent, "You see how others have benefited. Well, unless you jump aboard now you will lose your chance to get make big money on this stock and you will kick yourselves afterwards!"
What about situations where the stock is beginning a downhill slide? A different argument is frequently posed. We have no more than a correction in effect, and how lucky you are. When the potential investor asks what is lucky about this scenario, the glib response is straight to the point. Just look at how this stock performed earlier and how many people made money on it. This ought to tell you its value. Now that we have a little adjustment period and it is going down temporarily then the opportunity is ripe to climb on board at a lower price than during peak period. You then need to wait for this previous moneymaker to return to its former winning ways. This is the one scenario where patience is stressed, but in a self serving and less than candid way.
Koteshwar provides examples of individuals who made money during the productively performing period of Taser, but then lost tremendously in the long run. Rather than accept a modest profit they believed they could anticipate peak level. Their incorrect guesses over how high the stock would go resulted in huge losses.
The author has his own online newsletter, which he began in 2001 during the height of a bear market, at breakout123.com. He recommends a strategy of prudence coupled with arming oneself with knowledge of the market, which will hopefully serve as a protection against the dangers of emotional enthusiasm in the pursuit of quick riches.
But is it a novel?.......2005-02-15
THE PERFECT STOCK serves as a fine, if somewhat ponderous, course in the ins and outs of the stock market. Author Brad Koteshwar is obviously well grounded in the basics and interstices of the stock market, and for most of us who quake at the mere mention of Wall Street, this is a fairly accessible introduction to that ever increasingly important corner of our universe.
Given all of that, Koteshwar has some difficulty with the basics of creating characters that are more than figures on the ledgers. It seems that his interest is more in driving home the points of his 'miracle deal' than in molding his motives into a novel form. It feels like he will eventually get there, and perhaps with his next book we'll have more story and less statistics! Grady Harp, February 2005

Customer Reviews:
Casual fans take note: this is for collectors ONLY!.......2006-12-25
What this guide is essentially comprised of is clinical pictures, bland details and a very dry presentation. This book is entirely geared towards the Joe collector who isn't necessarily interested in the fun or cool aspect of the toy line. For the casual Joe fan or those looking for some glorious nostalgia, the book fails miserably.
The promise of the immense amount of full-color pictures are what sold me on this book. What it actually delivers are unenthusiastic shots with no fun factor at all. Each figure is shown with legs and arms straight out laid on their backs on a flat white background. Each piece of personal equipment is shown beside the figure, not on it. It is all quite cold and boring to flip through.
The vehicles and bases fare even worse in their representation. They are mostly photographed from a full-on top-down view. A small handful are shown from the side. You only get one photo per vehicle, so if the angle doesn't inspire you (and it never really does), you are out of luck.
While there is absolutely no action to the pictures, they are very sharp in quality.
I would have liked to have seen pictures of the cards the figures came on and the boxes the vehicles came in, since the artwork was always amazing. Since this is an aspect to some collectors, I would have assumed it to be included. You can see the actual carded figure or vehicle/playset box about 5 times throughout the whole book. What a travesty!
The information presented with the photos spits out name, classification and then proceeds to take some direct quotes from the file cards. The whole file card is never printed and would have been a great inclusion. Instead you are forced to read what the author decides is important enough to document. In most listings you are given other proposed codenames for the figure, which are obscure tidbits of info I found worthless. Specific figure variants, when actually mentioned, are discussed only briefly with no accompanying pictures. Suggested prices are given but compared to actual prices at hobby shops and eBay, they are practically useless.
Unless you are a collector looking up banal manufacturing details, there isn't much enjoyment to be gleaned from reading what is printed.
Nearly a full third of the guide covers the 90s era Joes, which many agree are easy to dismiss as part of the Joe universe. Again, only the most avid collector would care for this much info. The guide even goes so far as to cover the Street Fighter series of figures put out by Hasbro in 93. That has so little to do with actual Joes it's not funny.
I had an enormous GI Joe colelction up until my teens and I still love the Joes to this day. I am not a rabid collector. I am a nostalgic fan. For me, this book was a waste of money. No cool photos of the Joe figures with their gear on and no fun displays of the vehicles and such. I read the comics and watched the shows. For me, there was nothing worth reading into here. No interesting information or exhilerating facts.
Before you go out and get a copy of this guide, ask yourself if you are a general fan or a collector. If you answer fan, pass on this book. It is strictly for the OCD collector.
A Great Book!.......2006-11-08
GI Joe toys of the 80's were some of the most fun and exciting ever seen, and this book chronicles them with brilliant excellence! A must have for any fan of the toys!
THE definitive guide to 80's GI Joes.......2006-03-06
Many, many, many guides have been written about 'GI Joe', but many short change or ignore the most popular Joe incarnation of all. Now, finally, we have an author from our generation who painstakingly chronicles the greatest toy line of all time.
This guide has it all. Full color photos of EVERY figure, plane, tank and jeep from the ARAH line. Plus, each is given a detailed description, a guide to easily lost parts and more.
This is far and away the best guide of it's kind, GI Joe or otherwise, on the market. If you're an 80's Joe collector, stop reading this and go buy it.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle. Yo, Joe!
The Ultimate 3 3/4" Resource Guide.......2006-02-15
I've been buying the 3 3/4" Joe figures at Garage Sales for years and re-selling them on eBay. The only trouble was finding the correct figure names and matching the correct acessories to them. I've had to rely on scouring other auctions or by excellent websites like www.yojoe.com to find this info...until now that is. The Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe 1982-1994 finally provides the one stop reference book I needed to identify and match up weapons and accessories. The book is 256 pages and features more than 1,300 color photographs of every figure with accessories, every vehicle complete with a listing of easily lost parts, and all accessories for the line. Included in the book are current prices for the items, both in package and loose, variations, pictures of inserts and paperwork, and even a Foreward by G.I. Joe Writer Larry Hama.
The photography is first rate and acessories such U.S.S. Flagg are shown with multiple pictures showing the ship from different angles as well as the acessories. Bellomo also includes the original prototype dossiers that Larry Hama wrote for the characters. This is just a marvelous guide and one I take with me to flea markets and garage sales. Truly an indispensible reference source. Well written, concise and knowledgeable. This is the one resource that Joe collectors must have!

The Best Of Its Kind - Anywhere! Anytime! A+++++++.......2005-12-17
This is, without hesitation, THE best toy reference guide I have ever read. It's a well written book... it's fun, informative, and has no competition as far as I can see. Bellomo gives you info on all aspects of the world of G.I.Joe: all figures, all accessories, all vehicles, all playsets, all for YOUR fun and for your personal info. Wizard Magazine just released an Ultimate (!?!) G.I. Joe guide in this month's issue of ToyFare Magazine (12/05) and it was RIDICULOUS compared to Bellomo's excellent TEN STAR book. There are SOOOOOOOO many other Joe Guides out there that are complete crap, but NOT THIS BOOK! Great intro, great index, great summaries of the charcters PLUS lots upon lots of new info on characters that I've never seen ANYWHERE before. One of the BEST gifts I've ever received and it has FORCED me to get back in to G.I.Joe collecting and my collection again, not that that's a bad thing ;) . The simple fact that Bellomo took every pic, wrote every word, and owns every single toy in the book is unbelieveable, but to put this book together for all of us to enjoy is even cooler... I hear (according to the great web site [...]) that he's currently writing a second edition wih some minor corrections and bonus pages with interviews with Hasbro designers from the 1980's PLUS some of the true minds behind the Joe Team's backstory like Mr. Kirk Bozigian, Mr. Ronald Rudat, and Mr. Larry Hama. YES!!! I've been reading this book for a week straight and I'm not bored yet, and I'm halfway done.

Armour Thyroid is a worst pill? BS!.......2007-10-13
Oh Please.... the author didn't do enough research on thyroid pills if he can even mention Armour and "worst pills" in the same sentence.
Yeah, I could just see me now if I didn't have a script for this "worst pill". I'm sure the medical community would like us hypo's depressed, balding, feeling crazy, tired, out of control triglycerides etc.. They would get so much more money telling us "it's all in our heads" (duh, our throats, too) and give up all sorts of scripts for anti-depressants, cholesterol, etc..
Knowing all this from personal experience I don't trust the rest of this book without doing research of my own. Waste of time!
Big Help.......2007-05-12
This book is so helpful. I recommend this book to everybody. It's very informative when it comes to medication.
The Very Best.......2007-05-08
Totally unbiased -- it's a reference we can trust and recommend to our friends!
A Book for All Shelves.......2007-01-19
It's impossible to count the number of times I have consulted this fine reference for myself, family and friends.
Buy it - it has the potential to save you grief, hospital visits, or even your life. Doctors simply make too many prescription errors today, especially for people who take multiple drugs. The only downside is that some brand new medications on the market aren't included; but then, the book advises that you not use a drug until it's been out for 7 years as problems are usually apparent during that amount of time. By that time, there's probably a new edition of Worst Pills, Best Pills published or close to being released.
Alternate point of view.......2005-11-16
While this book come across as a bit alarmist, it is a welcome alternative to other books on drugs, which are compilations of information provided by drug companies. The most useful feature of this book is the alternative treatments for each drug. These alternative treatments are much lower risk than the drugs they potentially replace.
Book Description
In this collection of musical portraits, jazz pianist and radio host Marian McPartland pays tribute to such beloved and legendary figures as Benny Goodman, Bill Evans, Joe Morello, Paul Desmond, Alec Wilder, Mary Lou Williams, and others. McPartland's reminiscences and anecdotes about these jazz greats are informed by her encyclopedic knowledge of their music, making this richly detailed collection an important addition to the literature of jazz.
In a preface to this new edition -- originally published as All in Good Time -- McPartland extends her commentary to include details of her long-running National Public Radio show "Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz" and memories of her late husband, famed Chicago trumpeter Jimmy McPartland.

Interesting also for the sub-plot of interrcultural romance!.......2006-02-10
I bring no background knowledge to the matter of conversions to Judaism, so this book helped me to understand a bit about this topic. I read "Finding a Home for the Soul" as a consequence of meeting the author, a wonderful, engaging woman.
As a Roman Catholic, I was most intrigued with descriptions of those Catholics who simply never warmed up to "Jesus" as Messiah and wandered into the orbit of Judaism because of a greater comfort with the notion of one God the Father (excuse me if I am mangling this concept).
My specialty is more the arena of intercultural romance, which "Finding a Home for the Soul" indirectly addresses, as many of these conversions (but not all) occurred as a result of a mixed marriage.
Also intriguing to me are the descriptions of important rituals in the Jewish faith. Sitting Shiva seems an especially valuable exercise that our overall society might think about adopting.
As it is (I think here of funerals for members of my own family), an American funeral is often a wild 24-hour ride through the wake, the funeral and a gathering afterwards. The idea of structuring mourning over a good length of time just seems so human and right.
I would suggest that the book could be improved by a larger type face -- that's the book publisher and designer in me speaking. Overall however kudos for an indepth work with loads of material.
a bit onesided for my taste.......2005-09-27
Though the book was bulky, the style was for m a bit dry as well, the real prblem I had with it was that I nearly only saw stories of non-orthodox converts. I would not recommend it as an intro to love judaism.....
Worth the wait.......2005-08-23
I wanted this book when I first saw it in the bookstore when it was originally published, but balked at the price, and by the time I began to think about finally getting my own copy, it seemed to have gone out of popular circulation. I eventually found a used copy for a much more reasonable price, and it was really worth the wait. I had begun reading it before, and all of the rest of the many personal stories, based on interviews Mrs. Myrowitz had conducted, were just as good. The author herself is a JBC, and shared in the lengthy but quite good introduction her own personal story and journey. Like a number of people profiled here, she too technically converted because she was in a relationship with a Jew, but not in the traditional way one is used to. Instead of undergoing some superficial conversion for no other reason than she was marrying a man who insisted she convert (or whose family ordered her to convert), she had already long been drawn to Judaism and Judaic values anyway, and finding the man who became her husband was more like the catalyst to do something serious about these feelings. Although not all of the JBCs profiled converted for marriage; some, at least at the date of publication, weren't even in relationships. Many people assume the only reason someone would become Jewish (or any other non-Christian religion) is because of an impending marriage, but here we have plenty of stories of people who did it only for themselves, before even being in a relationship, or who still aren't in a relationship period, with either a Jew or a Gentile. And not all of the stories are of white converts; there were some individuals profiled who are African-American, and I loved the story of the woman whose husband was living in France but with Moroccan roots. It's such a myth that Jews are only white and from Eastern or Central Europe. Many things led these people to convert, but overall they prove what is often said, that a JBC is oftentimes more devout, passionate, and committed than many JBBs. I also enjoyed the extensive bibliography and have since read or bought a number of the wonderful books suggested.
intelligent, intimate and informative.......1999-08-12
I picked this book up off the shelves of my local JCC library. Amidst the books on conversion that I've encountered so far, I find it to be the least partisan. It shows a spectrum of conversion experiences from liberal to orthodox, male and female, striaght and gay, white and of colour authors. I found it to be highly articulate.and intimate.
Fascinating stories of peoples conversions........1998-11-09
I found the stories in this book highly interesting and enjoyed reading the tales of those who have chosen to convert to Judaism. I recommend it for those who are converting or who have relatives who convert. It explains why people choose to convert, the problems that can be associated with converting, and how they dealt with those problems.
