With wonderful photographs, facsimiles of documents Reagan wrote, text by the top Reagan chronicler (Lou Cannon) and commentary by historian Michael Bechloss, this is a beautiful visual history of critical years in this century.

Mocking Samuel Johnson's theory on writing a biography, Lewalski, without eating, drinking, or living in social intercourse with Milton, has succeed in writing an impressive biography of Milton through, as she mockingly asserts, living in intellectual and artistic intercourse with Milton. Reading this book, to the surprise of Johnson, one will find him/herself eating, drinking, and living social intercourse with john Milton thanks to the scholarly talent of Barbara Lewlaski.

So nice to enjoy an easy-to-read book that's about real life -- no pretensions. You're taken away into a simpler place and time as the author relates experiences he had when he was a young man, for instance traveling with a friend part way down the Mississippi, adventures they had, having to make do, and more. Felt like I was there with them.

Wonderful Bat Mitzvah present -- Great Research Tool.......2007-08-12

13 year old girls, as well as 45 year old Jews, often have questions about diverse Jewish women such as Emma Lazarus, Hannah Senesh, Golda Meir; about organizations women are involved with such as Hadassah, National Council of Jewish Women, Kolot; or about topics related to Jewish women such as bat-mitzvah, fertility, Rashi's attitude towards women, etc. Five thousand years of Jewish history leaves us with lots to ask about! Until now there was no good source for answers but this CD-rom, which is the equivelant of a 6 volume print encyclopedia answers these questions and thousands more. Top scholars have written wonderful, readable articles on topics galore. This makes a great present girls will be able to use throughout their lifetime and is something today's college students and scholars will also appreciate.
