Mr Bernsteins book answered many of my questions. This book was easy to read and hard to put down. I dont think it is a doom and gloom book..It is a well written book and very informative. I feel I will be prepared if there are any problems with the Y2K. I recommend this book to everyone..

Don't waste your money on this book. This guy has been preaching the proverbial doom and gloom scenario to anyone who will listen for as long as I can remember. His "financial meltdown" hyperbole is a complete scam, and the only thing that will suffer a crisis is this guy's reputation.

a snapshot in time.......2007-01-14

A set of moderately readable short stories, all involving Jews living in postwar Germany. Most of these stories are about awkwardness: the awkwardness of Jews trying to figure out how to interact with people who in some cases had spent their youth murdering Jews or (more often) cheering on the killers, the awkwardness of German non-Jews who could not quite figure out how to interact with their former victims. Of course, over time these problems will dwindle: the postwar generation is dying out, and many of today's German Jews grew up in Soviet Russia.
