Description:
While previous research has found project buying to be distinct from other buying situations, in that it typically involves a multi-organizational network, to date there has been very little empirical research on this phenomenon. Our aim in this paper is therefore to investigate the structure and decision-making processes of the project buying network during the project cycle and its interactions with project sellers. We first develop a preliminary conceptual framework for analyzing the project buying network, which is then applied to a comparative case study of three development projects. The findings from the case study allow us to propose a revised conceptual framework for analyzing the dynamics of the project buying network during the project cycle, as well as interaction with sellers. Our findings also contribute an understanding of development projects, in particular the role of financiers.

This book provides intuitive information in an easy to read style covering various financial topics. It explains the fundamental investment techniques and basic information for individuals to make sound financial decisions in their life. The book provides adequate examples and covers all the options available to investors and how certain reasoning should be used for one's financial preferences. The author informs the reader the necessary steps in building a successful financial plan with a focus on long-term investing.

Highly recommend the book to any individuals, either for starters or more advanced readers to review the many financial decisions people ponders throughout their lifetime.

Outstanding primer for both the new investor and the more experienced investor interested in improving her/his investing savvy.

First, this book illustrates rather convincingly, how investing just a moderate amount of money consistently over a period of time, can build personal wealth beyond most people's highest expectations. Makes it clear that there are no "guaranteed, get rich quick approaches" but that by being patient and investing in any of a broad range of solid investments...."financial serenity" is definitely within reach.

Then, this book explains the basics of personal financial management; including life insurance, real estate, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, REITs, futures, annuities, 401k plans, IRAs and tips to help determine which is right for you. Getting it Right About the Big Public Accounting Firms.......2004-11-10

This is a fantastic, funny, introspective compilation of vignettes that when taken as a whole gives one a true picture of what it was like to be a partner in one of the then Big 8 firms. Mr. Richey's writing style is very readable with a great sense of comedic value. This book enthralled me, having "been there, done that." Every former, current, or "to be" partner of a big certified public accounting firm should read this book. For those of you who are not in the field, you will have a lot of fun learning about the characters, the industry, and especially what "professional partying" is really all about.

The second volume of "Bob Dylan, Performing Artist" covers the less understood, less appreciated, but often more rewarding second part of Dylan's career. Williams convincingly argues that much of Dylan's finest work came during this period, and his writing may have you digging out your old copy of "Shot of Love" or "Empire Burlesque" (or your bootleg tapes of those 1979-80 "born again" shows) to hear what he's talking about.
