Customer Reviews:
PRIVACY CRISIS is an exceptional privacy reference tool. A must read for 2007........2007-04-12
PRIVACY CRISIS was written by an author who has proved that through diligence, effort and a working knowledge of the system, one can have privacy in their life.
Grant Hall has opened new doors for those of us who previously believed that the road to financial privacy must be traveled by transferring assets to offshore 'havens' in an attempt to control our assets. In fact, Hall uses business resources that cater to the privacy seeker combined with knowledge of the financial system and negotiating skills to keep bank and brokerage funds hidden from those who may want to find them. Hall recommends using a company that rents safe deposit boxes without identification, tax i.d. or Social Security numbers-not even a name for those who want total secrecy. There's examples of cashing checks that leave no trail to the payee. Hold assets and property in total secrecy. These methods were eye openers for me.
I liken this book to an information enemy to the powers that want to control freedom loving Americans. Those who choose to become invisible to identity thieves, stalkers, private eyes can do it by practicing Hall's principles in PRIVACY CRISIS.
This is the best book on the subject I have read and I highly recommend it to those who desire personal privacy.
PRIVACY CRISIS provides information on banking secrecy in the U.S.A........2007-03-22
I have completed Privacy Crisis and this book answered many questions about privacy and the challenges we face today.
Grant Hall has covered all of the important money privacy issues and it is possible to make your assets and money disappear through the application of the principles outlined in the book. And this can be done in the U.S.A. What a break from the other authors who guide readers toward offshore banks and advise giving control to others.
I appreciate the attention to detail. Obviously, Hall has walked where other privacy writers have never gone. I would highly recommend this book to those who fear their bank accounts will be stolen or seized by government agencies or others. Thorough, complete and worth the money many times over, Privacy Crisis will become a big deal in the arena of Privacy Reference books.
This book may be the greatest investment a person could make to escape the threats of stalkers, identity thieves or others who wish you harm.
Buy this book.
Worth a Hundred Times the Price.......2007-03-02
Personal privacy is under siege these days. Mine was first invaded when cyber-crooks drained my checking account in a single day. If you don't take steps to protect yours, it too will go up in smoke. For you, maybe it's when an obsessed former spouse or fan starts stalking you. Or the government--claiming "national security"--begins wiretapping your phone. Maybe it's when your employer snoops on all your emails, a gumshoe rifles through your credit files, or you have to supply your most personal information just to open a checking account or buy a home.
You don't have to give up your God-given privacy. Believe me, this book will tell you everything you'll ever need to know about how to protect it--whether in just one area, or an entirely anonymous lifestyle. This author knows his stuff. He's practiced everything he writes about. So his book is far in advance of other privacy books that just recycle armchair theories or even worse, suggest you do things that are outright illegal.
Protect your identity. Protect the privacy of your home and business transactions--your computer, phone, mail, travel, bank account, stored items, credit files, hard assets, and investments. One invasion of your privacy will cost you ten or a hundred times the price of this one-of-a-kind book.
I wish I'd known about it before they emptied my bank account.
A timely guide to preventing stalking and identity theft.......2007-01-26
During this era of skyrocketing identity theft crimes, violence and death to innocent victims by stalkers, and government's tracking and monitoring of citizens' business, money and communication, Americans are seeking privacy for personal security and survival. Grant Hall writes on how to live an anonymous lifestyle in his new book, Privacy Crisis: Identity Theft Prevention Plan and Guide to Anonymous Living. And he should know. He used a non-traditional 'defense' to avoid a civil court case by disappearing for four years. A number of privacy tactics outlined in Privacy Crisis belong to Hall. I have never seen these in print-and I began reading privacy books prior to the publication of W.G. Hill's first PT book. Privacy Crisis may be the best book of its kind ever written.
According to Hall, privacy living is the answer to preventing identity theft. One can escape from a stalker or disappear-for any reason by using the information in Privacy Crisis. Alternate identification, renting and owning a home in secrecy, driving and working under the radar and establishing a clandestine communication and computer system are covered in detail. This book is thorough and complete and cites case histories and challenges the author of 'How to be Invisible' on the use of nominees.
Hall provides insight on anonymous banking, cashing checks privately, alternate name debit cards and provides a resource for obtaining a safe deposit box requiring no name or Social Security number. There's information on how to keep investments, property and businesses a secret. All of this can be accomplished in the U.S.A. of all places-a welcome change from the many books offering unrealistic, inconvenient, expensive, offshore remedies for domestic privacy problems.
A Must-read for Privacy-conscious Americans!.......2007-01-14
It goes without saying that personal privacy is a rare commodity in America today. Identity theft has become the country's fastest growing crime. Con artists relentlessly target us while greedy lawyers and vengeful ex-spouses threaten to drain our bank accounts and assets. Our personal computers have become open doors into the most discreet corners of our lives. And that doesn't begin to address threats to our privacy from the government, eavesdropping employers, nosey snoops with hidden agendas, eavesdropping employers, and increasingly intrusive marketing-crazed companies.
Privacy Crisis is easily one of the best books on privacy ever written. Through his eye-opening inside perspective, as someone who evaded private investigators and attorneys for four years by living "below the radar," Grant Hall has brought us an authoritative how-to guide for the average American who wants to protect his or her privacy on an practical level. Far superior to the many theory-laden books on privacy, Privacy Crisis is a revealing step-by-step manual written by someone who has walked the walk. This book is required reading for anyone concerned about their personal and financial privacy in an ever-threatening society.

'Lie' leads to court ruling
By Robert Patrick
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
04/25/2007
A man jailed and fined a decade ago for scamming customers with a St. Louis based "get rich" program is in trouble again after a federal judge ruled that he violated a court order by lying to customers.
The man, Richard C. Neiswonger, and William S. Reed are partners in Asset Protection Group Inc., which took in $19.8 million from 2000 to 2006 by signing up almost 2,000 customers, court documents and testimony show. Asset Protection Group has an office in Las Vegas, but the earlier sales program had been based in St. Louis.
The customers were promised the chance to earn six-figure incomes selling Nevada and offshore corporations that supposedly shield buyers' assets from the IRS, law enforcement and "capricious federal judges."
Despite paying up to $9,800 apiece to peddle the program, the customers, known as consultants, got little in return, U.S. District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh wrote in an order made public Tuesday. Advertisement
Only three sold more than 50 corporations. Most sold none and lost money.
Only one of the consultants ever made the promised six-figure income, and that was only because APG supplied her with "numerous names of prospective clients prepared to buy corporations," Limbaugh wrote.
Of the 3,200 Nevada corporations set up through APG, half are defunct, meaning sellers would not get the promised fees for renewals.
Neiswonger used at least $2.8 million of the proceeds to pay personal expenses, including payments for a Mercedes and a Lexus and credit card expenses, Limbaugh wrote, and Reed received about $5 million in cash and other payments.
In 1997, Neiswonger was ordered not to lie in the advertising or sale of "business-opportunity" programs and agreed to other marketing restrictions after a similar business took in $6 million from 612 people using similar methods, prosecutors said at the time. He also pleaded guilty of wire fraud and money laundering, served 12 months in prison and paid millions in fines and restitution.
Both men knew about the civil and criminal case and the court order that barred Neiswonger from lying to customers and requiring him to maintain a bond to protect customers.
Neither told customers about Neiswonger's troubles, or that Reed had lost his law license in Colorado, Limbaugh wrote.
Limbaugh found Neiswonger in civil contempt for his conduct at APG. Also, he is banned from telemarketing and selling any "program," which documents define as any training sessions, instruction, class material or joint-venture opportunity.
The Federal Trade Commission wants Reed and Neiswonger to return the profit they made through APG, but the profit has yet to be determined.
Also, Reed and APG face a hearing over whether they should be held in contempt.
Justice Department lawyers became involved in the case earlier this month and have filed legal papers alleging that some of the services APG provided were improper and that at least 69 APG customers may have $30 million in federal tax liabilities on assets they ran through the APG system.
"There's a lot in this case that we don't dispute," said Neiswonger's lawyer, Robert McAllister, but he noted, "Nobody sought refunds that hasn't got them."
He also said Neiswonger had nothing to do with the IRS action involving the accounts.
Neiswonger, reached by telephone where he works at a business in St. Louis County offering treatment for men's sexual problems, said that an appeal of Limbaugh's order was planned. "We just don't think that it was a fair ruling," he said.
Reed's lawyer declined to comment.
A great eye opener.......2006-01-31
I found this book to be have great guidelines and useful
information in taking steps to protect the assets.
Interesting background info only.......2005-08-02
A nice introduction to extreme asset protection techniques as a sales pitch to the reader to employ the author's services. Nothing wrong with that, and I enjoyed reading the book, though it is full of off-topic information including a grossly incorrect statement about the economic base of Singapore. The author does a great job of citing rare cases where the US government bullies people and takes their money; interesting, but for most of us I would guess not exactly helpful in our situation. I am still looking for a good practical guide that explains how to do things without the employment of a lawyer.
no1coolcat's assertion incorrect on Reed's background.......2004-09-22
no1coolcat's review about a suspension is blatently false, obviously he is a competitor in the asset protection field trying to smear this author. Many attorneys are very familiar with Mr. Reed's story and background. It is an open book that he actually uses as a selling point. He is a hero for asset protection, having learned it the business first hand when he defended himself and others during the real estate market collapse in Colorado in the 80s. He was so successful at defending their assets that the frustrated attorneys on the other side after many years unsuccessfully attacking them, filed a grievance with the Colorado Bar Association claiming Mr. Reed had been dishonest because he hadn't paid them a dime! It was dirty tactics, a last resort, and all they could think to do to try to pressure him. That was many years later and by that time, Mr. Reed was living and practicing in another state. He voluntarily agreed to have his CO license suspended for one year at which time it would be reinstated. Since he did not plan to live in Colorado again, he did not reinstate it, it did not matter to him. Mr. Reed has provided asset protection to thousands of clients for over 10 years now, and is endorsed by many including Larry King Live, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Robert Wagner and many others as the top authority in the U.S. on asset protection. His strategies work 100%. His company has top references, top ratings from Dun&Bradstreet and Forbes, and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau.

Book Description
Discover how to protect your assets from unpredictable judges, armed street gangs of plaintiffs, lawyers and Robin Hood juries determined to redistribute wealth in Asset Protection Lawyer Jim Bennett's eye-opening new book:
Bulletproof Offshore Asset Protection
The Money Fortress for the New Millennium
by Jim Bennett
If you keep money or other assets in the United States, it's time to look at other options. Because the court system in this country is out of control. Today, if you keep all of your money in the U.S., you're asking for problems, and even the most powerful, most expensive lawyers may not be able to protect you.
In the U.S., the number of lawsuits is increasing 7 times faster than the population. The number of lawsuits now in our court system awaiting resolution has topped 100,000,000. For emphasis, I'll say it again. Right now, over 100 million lawsuits are literally choking the life out of our court system waiting for some sort of resolution. It's no wonder, for example, that federal judges in New York sometimes wait as long as 11 years to decide non-jury trials.
And that's not the worst of it!
Every year, plaintiffs file 30,000,000 new lawsuits. On average, that's over 82,000 lawsuits per day!
Lawsuits have become the plaintiffs' negotiating strategy, a bullying tactic they use to force you to pay money. You see, plaintiffs and their lawyers have learned that if they sue you, you will likely give them (at least part of) what they want. This is because the cost of hiring defense lawyers and going to trial has mushroomed beyond what many executives, professionals and businesses can afford.
So, plaintiffs conclude, "If we sue the defendant, one of two things will likely happen: Either the defendant will give us money to go away. Or we'll keep the defendant tied up in court for 2 to 5 years and then the jury will give us the defendant's money."
As you can see, in either case, the money comes out of your pocket!
Of course, you might win the case. But at what price? To win your case, you could easily pay six figures to your law firm. So in the U.S. today, even if you win, you lose. The price of lawsuits is so high that our court system is often the last place you'll find justice.
Who are the plaintiffs who can't wait to sue you? Just about anyone you can name. They include unhappy employees, clients, patients, customers, shareholders, investors, directors, partners, creditors, neighbors, friends, spouses and children. Anybody can sue you, if that person wants to. And many will.
To understand your attackers, let's look at what plaintiffs' lawyers have in common:
1. They love money. The more they stand to gain, the better they like it.
2. They love to gamble. They don't mind losing cases now and then because the winners far more than pay for the losers.
3. They love to fight. They don't mind wrestling with your lawyers for years in an effort to see who comes out on top.
4. They love to control. They will gladly spend weeks in depositions asking you tough questions so they can show you that they have the upper hand.
But, first and foremost, always, is the money. Money is the essential ingredient. If plaintiffs lawyers can't get your money, they won't waste one minute pursuing the plaintiff's case.
So the key to preventing lawsuits, the key to protecting your assets, is to make sure predator-plaintiffs and their lawyers can't get their hands on your money.
Here is all you need to know to protect your assets: If your assets are beyond the reach of U.S. courts, judges can't seize them, Robin Hood juries can't award them to a defendant, and plaintiffs' lawyers can't enforce judgments against them.
When plaintiffs' lawyers discover they can't get your money, they won't waste any time trying. Why should they! They can find someone else to sue who does have money in the U.S., which makes them a much more attractive target.
You want to know more, and you should. Because every day the problem grows worse. Every day creative plaintiffs' lawyers concoct new reasons to sue defendants. Consider this list of common reasons
Employment lawsuits arising from: Age discrimination. Racial discrimination. Gender discrimination. Religious discrimination. Pregnancy discrimination. Disability discrimination. Mental illness discrimination. Addiction discrimination. Sexual harassment. Peer harassment. Gossip among employees. Job references (good or bad). Whistle blowing. Retaliation. Wrongful termination. Negligent employee retention. Releasing medical information. Unequal mental vs. physical health coverage. Employee injury from chemical exposure. And much more.
Professional Malpractice lawsuits arising from: Medical malpractice. Legal malpractice. Psychological malpractice. Engineering malpractice. Architectural malpractice. And much more.
Business Liability lawsuits arising from: Environmental cleanup liability. Products liability. Shareholder liability. Securities fraud. Liability of outside directors. Liability from unsatisfied customers. Personal injury when a customer drinks too much and hurts someone. Personal injury when a customer slips and falls. And much more.
Personal lawsuits arising from: Divorce. Lawsuits by children. Lawsuits from business partners. Creditors claims. Accidental injury caused by a family member. Pregnancy (your son gets a girl pregnant). Personal injury caused by a drinking guest. Personal injury when a guest slips and falls. And much more.
If asked, your lawyer could probably come up with 100 more reasons people might sue you. The list seems endless.
And since the lawsuits will never end, and since plaintiffs' lawyers will never have enough money, you can (and should!) take one key step that will immediately cause lawyers to lose interest in you: Put your assets overseas, in a foreign protective country, beyond the reach of U.S. courts.
And to help you understand this fast-growing solution to the tidal wave of lawsuits, I've written this fact-filled book. I invite you to order your copy today.

bulletproof asset protection.......2000-07-26
Clear charts, easy chapters, convincing arguments - yet not enough info on "how to"...I'm not sure that it is really necessary to complicate matters as much as he does. This book is mainly self-advertising and is clearly geared to very wealthy potential clients.
Bulletproof lacks technical application.......2000-03-07
This book is good and long on why and short on how. There's a basic diagram of the legal entities but doing it yourself is not part of this book. It can be read at a single sitting. There were a few very helpful ideas but I'd like to see a lot more concrete explanation on the 'how to'.
Good Book.......2000-02-22
Great book to get you started understanding the ideas of offshore asset protection. Liked the very simple but complete discussions. He was very upfront of his motiviations and also warned the reader that he also sells his services. Check out jim's website for further updates from what he wrote. The only difference between the book and the web site is at the web site, he suggested that $100k vice $500k in liquid assets. Highly recommended read. I only wish his rates are cheaper. Now only if I had the assets to protect.
Could be called Asset Protection for Dummies.......1999-09-01
Attorney, Jim Bennett makes a very convincing case of the need for offshore asset protection trusts in modern day America in his book entitled Bulletproof Offshore Asset Protection -- The Money Fortress for the New Millennium. If not for the rights to the name held by IDG Books, his book could have been called Offshore Asset Protection for Dummies. Like books from the IDG Dummies series, Bennett's book offers simple explanations to make this complicated topic easier to understand with the aid of graphics, illustrations and flow charts. Offshore investment neophytes are treated to a personal experience of the author that makes it blatantly clear why anyone with assets should be nervous in today's litigious world. Without giving away the story, one disgruntled employee can potentially ruin the retirement plan for any professional or company owner. One of the better introductory books on the subject of offshore business that I've reviewed. Matt Blackman - Goldhaven.com
This book is comprehensive, succinct and easy to read........1999-04-08
I liked this book because it gave me the hard information I needed without a lot of unnecessary fluff. It described precisely how these things work, and especially how they work when you get sued. Very comprehensive, yet succinct. Very efficient read. It was also understandable; no legalese, and every time the author used a legal term, he explained it in clear English. I didn't know anything about these things when I started and I feel like I understand them pretty well now.

Heýs Swartzkopf, Patton, and Biblical David Rolled In One!.......2003-04-09
Raful Eitan is a name that anyone who has read the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict should know. He has lived through the entire history from British Mandate Palestine to the modern State of Israel. His autobiography chronicles his life and opinions from his days in pre-1948 Palmach (Israeli Shock Troopers and Pioneers), to being a highly decorated and combat experienced paratrooper, to his days as Minister of Defense, to his service during the highly controversial Operation Peace for Galilee (the 1982 Lebanon-Syria-PLO-Israel War).
He minces not one of his words and tells the entire tale in this 1992 paperback book's 388 pages. Every word of the book is exciting or engaging from moments of intense action to moments of intense reflection. Perhaps, one of the most interesting aspects of Eitan's outlook is that he bears the Palestinian-Arabs and other Arabs no animus or hate. He grew up with them as a Sabra (native-born Israeli) and feels sympathy towards them for the way that tyrannical Arab governments have manipulated the refugees without helping them. He hopes and prays to one day live in peace with all of the Arabs.
Perhaps most revealing are Eitan's parting words (Page 388):
-------------------------------
"Most importantly, in our struggle for survival we must not grow impatient. We must remain strong and steadfast. We must wait until the winds of change that are sweeping through Eastern Europe bring similar changes to our region. We must wait until our Arab neighbors see the advantages of peace and give up their campaign to destroy us. Only through strength can peace be achieved."
-------------------------------
His words seem almost prophetic in these days of change in the Middle East. Arab governments are slowly seeing their governments change through death of the previous strong man (Syria) to an aging king that will soon see a change of power in his country (Jordan) to a radical government that pushed a superpower too far (Iraq). Those winds of change that transformed Eastern Europe that Eitan prophesized certainly seem to have arrived in the Middle East. We can only hope and pray that peace will finally come to stay in the troubled Middle East. And until that day arrives, we can hope and pray that Israel remains strong waiting for the arrival of peace.
I highly recommend this excellent autobiography of one of Israel's most distinguished soldiers, farmers, leaders, and citizens.

I liked Hale's advice on recruiting the best volunteer leaders and on strategic planning. Also, that throughout the book he speaks to the importance of a visionary attitude among church leaders, that they must engage their congregation in doing great things rather than just meeting the budget.
