Roth to Riches enables the average person to understand the complexities of IRA's in detail. This is an outstanding book that should be recommended to anyone with a substantial amout of money in an IRA.

this book is an excellent resource book for ordinary people with large ira's who do not know what their options are or why they should consider a roth ira. It is a great way to check and balance the advice you are getting from other sources. I have utilized this book thoroughly with many of my clients.

Informative and Easy to Understand!!!.......1998-12-10

Roth to Riches is a must read for anyone who has ever considered or currently owns an IRA. Written in plain, understandable English (my native tongue), Mr. Bledsoe demonstrates the advantages and disadvantages of both the ordinary and the Roth IRA's. In this book, unlike other books that are also written in my native tongue but which make me wonder if English is in fact my native tongue, Mr. Bledsoe displays a unique ability to explain technical tax and financial planning concepts with candor and clarity. This book is interesting, informative and easy to understand. A bargain at this price. Thanks for the insights.

Some crucial points are no longer valid due to new regs........1998-11-09

This would have been a very excellent book had publication been withheld until after the Taxpayers' Relief Act of 1998 had been signed into law. Mr. Bledsoe was aware there were going to be important changes and he provideded a form in the back of the book, that the reader can use to send for an update on the the new regulations. Unfortunately the turn arround time for the update is quite slow. As the book reads in its present form, some very important areas are no longer accurate and an unwary reader could be lured into making a mistake in choosing a Roth IRA.

An easy-to-read book on Roth IRAs that's also comprehensive........1998-08-27

This is the first consumer-oriented book published (July, 1997) about the Roth IRA. As it turns out, it is a superb effort and one that other authors will be hard pressed to match with future Roth IRA titles. The author obviously spent many months fine-tuning his work. As the editor of the Roth IRA Web Site, I read this book in well under two hours and found it to be a remarkably easy-to-read book. One doesn't expect books on topics such as Roth IRAs to be pleasant reads, but this book was both fun-to-read and informative at the same time! I also gave the book to several others to read (including one person who had no idea how IRAs worked) and they confirmed my judgement. This is a great book on both traditional IRAs and Roth IRAs.

From a technical viewpoint, the information presented appears to be quite accurate and comprehensive. Although the Roth IRA technical corrections were not yet signed into law when the book was published, the author was obviously quite familiar with the proposed changes and he does reference the more important provisions. (The last page of the book provides a form to send in for a free report on the final Roth regulations when available.)

The book is 198 pages (8½" x 11" size) with the actual text running through page 90. Pages 91 through 121 are what the author calls Roth Conversion Advantage charts. Most of the rest of the book consists of a reprint of IRS Publication 590, the IRS explanation of IRAs. After you see the IRS explanation of how traditional IRAs work, you will like Roth IRAs even more!

I completely agree with the previous reviewer, this book is a short read that will make you look at life differently. Chrysostom definitely clears up all of the 'gray area' about who deserves help and who does not, like i said this book has the potential to change your life.

Wealth and Poverty.......2004-11-15

When reading this work, please keep in mind that Saint John is a speaker, not a writer. When reading his sermons, it can be tedious at times because he repeasts and phrases ideas in such a way as that it seems tricky when reading, yet very colorful and easily understood when speaking.

The moral implications of the several sermons contained in this 'one sermon' are massive. The sermons all revolve around the story of the Rich man and Lazarus in Luke and he explands on how even the slightest of monetary pleasures should be avoided and the money given to the poor instead because there will always be those who need help; children, old and infirmed, injured and disables, etc. The lessons he teached by way of Christ are ones which we need now more than ever.

Description:
The Eskay Creek, British Columbia, Canada, is a polymetallic, gold- and silver-rich, volcanic-hosted, massive sulfide deposit. The ore in the deposit is divided into subzones distinguished by mineralogy, texture, grade and metallurgical characteristics. This study presents the results of a mineralogical examination of three composite field samples, with emphasis on the chemistry of sphalerite. Sphalerite is associated with variable amounts of Hg-tetrahedrite and cinnabar, and an array of sulfides, sulphosalts and non-opaque minerals. Electron micro probe analyses of sphalerite in the three composite samples reveal wide variations in compositions. The Hg content in sphalerite in the three samples varies between 0.08 and 16.35wt%, whereas the Fe content ranges from 0.33 to 2.29wt%. The chemical formula of the sphalerite shows the compositional range (Zn"0"."8"9"-"0"."9"8Hg"0"."0"1"-"0"."0"9".Fe"0"."0"0"5"-"0"."0"2)S. Sphalerite exhibits an almost perfect substitution of Hg and Zn, as shown by the negative covariance between them. Sphalerite with the highest Hg contents tends to have the lowest Fe concentrations. The highest Hg contents in sphalerite are recorded in the samples with the highest bulk Hg concentrations and with the highest cinnabar contents. The compositional variations of sphalerite are important because they can be used in mapping ore forming fluids and indicate possible temporal variations. Second, determination of the compositional variation of the sphalerite in the mine has metallurgical implications because the mineral is an important Zn source. The mineralogical data indicate that non-physical processes (e.g. pyrometallurgy) must be used to separate Hg from Zn concentrates, with direct environmental implications, that is, release of metals, such as Hg, into the environment during mining and processing.

Excellent biography........2004-06-15

I enjoyed it immensely. Beautiful cover picture on this, nice sized text, elaborate notes, full bibliography and index. All in all, a great read, thoroughly researched.

One place that the author should have researched is in the court records in the Archives in Frankfort. Sehlinger mentions Preston's participation in protecting minorities during the Bloody Monday riots, but he makes no mention of Preston's being cornered by a mob, of him pulling a gun and looking around as if wondering which thug to shoot first and saying, "Have I no friends here?"

"Yes, you have," said a voice from behind him, and Joshua Speed, Abraham Lincoln's great friend, came forward with a pistol. Together they faced down the mob, but Preston was afterwards arrested and tried for having an illegal firearm at the polls. The account of this trial, too, is interesting.

Also there were other court cases and duels, fights, etc., which Preston participated in which are not mentioned in the biography. His testimony, and his everyday record as a lawyer, can be had by going through these Circuit and Criminal court cases, and would have made an interesting facet of the man's biography.

But the author uncovered much that I have not seen in print elsewhere, and he has organized and written it up here in a professional way. Highly recommended.

Interesting, needs more proofreading.......2001-04-27

I enjoyed sitting and browsing through these volumes. However, when reading about people I already knew much about, I found far more errors than one would normally expect in a published work. E.g., In classical music, they have the number of Symphonies, Quartets, and Cello Concertos written by Shostakovich wrong; they have the number of Hanson's Romantic Symphony wrong, and they imply Tchaikovsky wrote only one Piano Concerto. There are also people I think should be included but are not: Alan Hovhaness, Nicholas Roerich.

Must Have Biography Set.......1999-02-19

Plain and simple this set contains the most up to date biographies and is crammed full of great photographs to boot! Very informative with good bibliographic referencing all at a low price (especially for 17 volumes).

the book is a below average tour book. This book has very little value, if any in purchasing a home in Greece. There is a half page in the book about purchase contracts. no mention of costs, taxes, closing fees etc. It would have been nice if they had an example of a closing statement. Throughout the book they bold stuff that they think is very important. Almost all of this is common sense that you could find in any real estate book in any country. example: If you can't make any appointment call and cancel. another, If you don't know where you want to live, rent first. Even the references in the back are poor. You would do much better by calling the tourist office and telling them, you wanted to buy a home in Greece and wanted information. Overall, this book is extremely general, given little or no details about real estate in Greece and has no value. Don't waste your time.
