I use this book constantly for a company's ticker symbol and what exchange it is traded on. Having the information available by ticker symbol to company has proven to be an asset also.

Dog-eared book on my shelf.......2007-01-10
Part of my job is advising others on complex FMLA and ADA situations. I have a solid knowledge of the FMLA and still find myself referring to this book often (as recently as today). It is much more in-depth than the law itself with an abundance of citations. It goes a long way toward clarifying confusing parts of the FMLA and DOL regulations and noting where courts have made contradictory decisions. A bonus is that it comes with a CD that allows the book to be downloaded into a PC where searches can be conducted. The referenced court decisions are also available for downloading. It will keep its space on my bookshelf, without gathering dust.

This is an awesome book! It is so easy to read and understand. It is written so that anybody can understand it; it's not full of hard to understand legalese.

Books on managements are dime a dozen. So, what sets this book apart from the rest? Well, not much! If you are looking for insightful ideas that will change the way you think, this is not the book for you. Having said that, what Stuart Crainer does is to provide bite-size snippets on various facets of management ranging from strategy to marketing in one location. If you are not looking for depth but some light-reading about what "who's who" of management has said or thought, this may be the book.

WARNING: This author has been convicted of tax fraud.......2004-08-19
For anyone thinking of taking the advice in any of this author's books, think again. She has been convicted of conspiracy, four counts of mail fraud, two counts of using a false social security number, making a false statement in a passport application and five counts of failing to file a tax return. She is awaiting sentencing, and faces up to FIFTY YEARS in prison.
Obviously, her advice doesn't work.
Questionable.......2003-06-17
Consists of examples, letters and legal documentation in the remote chance that you'll follow it and try to dispute paying any taxes. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't .. but if you want to risk fines, legal fees and jail time to fight the system , this book is worth a look.
You Need To Know How The Game is Played........2000-09-23
Lynne's first book, Vultures in Eagles Clothing, gives you the basics to get you started and win the battle against the IRS. Her new book shows you how to fight the IRS and win with specific tools for every contingency. When you confront the IRS with questions that there can only be one answer for according to Lynne's information and they won't respond after repeated attempts, you know she was right and you've won the battle. Just in case they want to make an example of you, this is the book that will stop the IRS dead in their tracks.

I read a Vulture in Eagles clothing first, and then read this. You should also do it in the same order. Don't just believe what is written, also don't just dismiss it. It is of the utmost importance that you do as I did and research what was written. You will then feel 100% confident that you are indeed paying an unlawful tax. I got a nice check and a small kind of apology from the IRS for illegally holding onto my money. But they sure do try to intimidate you, information is power and this book can give you the power to gain your God given right of freedom. That includes freedom from illegal and oppresive taxation. You draw your own conclusions and act on your own back-up research. Our Founding Fathers had it right, taxation in any form should be equal. The current format certainly isn't. It's time to stop the rot and put in place a tax that is more consistant with what our Founding Fathers wanted. Not to feed a bloated and out of control Federal Govenment and it's misleading and ominously silent sidekick, the federal Reserve. ( no more Federal than Federal Express)

Geller's the real deal--however..........2006-04-15
this book is rather clumsily ghostwritten by Stearn, based on the input of Larry Geller, Elvis' hairstylist and spiritual guru for 13 years.
This book was written in about 1980, and has been published under two other titles, The Truth About Elvis and Elvis' Spiritual Journey. The contents and anecdotes are OK, but the book is written in a sort of rambling, non-narrative style. Should be called "Elvis the Nice Guy Anecdote Grab-Bag."
Anyway, Larry Geller got it right five years later when he joined with two better ghost-writers and put out the riveting and excellent If I Can Dream - now out of print, but available used here on Amazon. Do yourself a favor and read that instead of this.
This book describes the real Elvis.......1999-03-20
All that time that we were enjoying Elvis' music, films, and personality, we never had an inkling that the spiritual life was important to him. Maybe this fact was deliberately withheld for the sake of his career. In any case, it is too bad that we did not really know him while he was alive. This book describes the real Elvis.
At the time he was born, a blue light surrounded his home. This was a sign that the spiritual would be important to him. It began in blood and thunder churches that he quickly rejected. Then he found gospel churches, where he learned to naturally move his body to exciting music. Then, after his career began, Larrry Geller entered his life. Of course, you never heard of Larry Geller, but he was Elvis' best friend and spiritual confidante for many years. Larry was a student of what is called metaphysics, a very broad field that Shirley MacLaine helped popularize. The author of the book, Jess Stearn, has also popularized it. The book describes Elvis' long interest in this field, from numerology to astrology to pre-Christian spirituality to Christ himself. For Elvis, it was a lonely path, as his friends and wife were not interested.
The book, like Out on a Limb, is a good introduction to metaphysics, and describes what a typical (if Elvis could be called typical) student experiences. His study helped him to face death with no qualms, and the book explains the real cause of his death (not drugs)
Interesting, but not fulfilling my expectations........1999-03-10
This is a curious book. It gives an overview of Elvis' spiritual search as seen through the eyes of Larry Geller, his personal hairdresser and self-proclaimed Guru. Geller got Elvis to explore his spiritual side mainly through New Age readings and meditation, and his own conversations with him. But the book seems to be a series of anecdotes, and bits and pieces of information thrown together. It was interesting, but did not give the kind of insight into Elvis' spirituality that I was expecting from Mr. Stearn. Perhaps I am expecting too much - Elvis the mystic?
