The book includes the following forms: an agreement for the development and transfer of copyrighted materials; a content license for text, photo, or video material; terms and conditions for Web site use; a Web site development agreement; an Internet advertising contract; a document of Internet use policy; a clickwrap agreement for selling or licensing software; a linking agreement, a permission-to-link form, and an agreement for the transfer of a domain name.

Although the contracts and forms provided in this book are fairly comprehensive and can give you a good idea of what is involved in putting together contracts, most of them have been drafted to address the needs and concerns of the person hiring a developer. If you are independant web developer looking for a site development contract template - look elsewhere - this contract is extemely client-biased and would take a lot of time and/or a lawyer to re-work it.
Helpful but flawed.......1998-04-23
This book is very helpful- use the forms only as a base though. The author apparently has NEVER heard of proofreading a contract. I have found numerous mistakes in many of the forms which could pose potential legal problems. Of serious note is the misnumbering of paragraphs and sections, some of which are referred to later in the form. If you do not carefully edit these forms you might end up with a worthless -worse yet, damaging, legal document.

Better than Betty Crocker!.......2002-09-01
Viewers, I know Betty Crocker Cookbook has been around for a very long time; long before I knew how to say Betty Crocker, but when I first discovered MaryAnn's Cookbook, I was living in Cali, and I had to order the Cookbook thru a major Bookstore. Upon reciept of the Cookbook, I started with the Meatloaf by the Professor...It is the best I've ever had; now don't get me wrong I do enjoy making meatloaf the ole fashion way, but that recipe will leave you coming back for more. So I relocated to the South, and left my Cookbook with a relative to use, unfortunately, I never got it back, so I contacted every Bookstore in this town, and everyone is sold out, or can't order the Cookbook. So, I saw on the Amazon.com that I could order the Cookbook, and I've always been reluctant about putting my CC number online, so I sent a MO in to the address listed on Amazon, and to no avail, my MO was lost in the shuffle, I went belistic, so I am now forced to put my CC online in order to get the Maryann Cookbook, and I will tell each and everyone out there, if you've tried the rest, then you MUST try Maryann Cookbook, it is the BEST. It's worth losing the money from the MO and having to go another route to get my Maryann Cookbook. God only knows, I wish I could have ordered the Cookbook from Maryann herself, then I know I would have long recieved my Cookbook by now. Again its worth it!!

Not only does this book have some great recipes, but Dawn has done a masterful job of both blending and separating the fictional characters of Mary Ann and the real- life Dawn Wells through the various anecdotes that are sprinkled throughout the book. A must have for every Dawn Wells fan.
Great recipes, great stories........1999-08-22
Every recipe I've tried in this book has been wonderful! There are Gilligan-themed recipes, favorite recipes of cast members, and Dawn Wells' own family recipes, along with an interesting story about her family's history in cooking! (Naturally, there is a plethora of coconut-cream pie recipes as well!!)
Between the recipes are fascinating behind-the-scenes stories about the cast members, Gilligan trivia, and bits of script from the series.
Mary Ann is the coolest. And man can she cook!!.......1998-07-18
Thanks, Dawn, for keeping Gilligan's Island and "Mary Ann" alive. Can't wait for the sequel! Have any good brownie recipes? :)

This book provides intuitive information in an easy to read style covering various financial topics. It explains the fundamental investment techniques and basic information for individuals to make sound financial decisions in their life. The book provides adequate examples and covers all the options available to investors and how certain reasoning should be used for one's financial preferences. The author informs the reader the necessary steps in building a successful financial plan with a focus on long-term investing.

Outstanding primer for both the new investor and the more experienced investor interested in improving her/his investing savvy.
First, this book illustrates rather convincingly, how investing just a moderate amount of money consistently over a period of time, can build personal wealth beyond most people's highest expectations. Makes it clear that there are no "guaranteed, get rich quick approaches" but that by being patient and investing in any of a broad range of solid investments...."financial serenity" is definitely within reach.
Then, this book explains the basics of personal financial management; including life insurance, real estate, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, REITs, futures, annuities, 401k plans, IRAs and tips to help determine which is right for you. This explanation of the basics, provides a framework which can be used to help individuals determine which investment vehicles fit their personal financial profile/style, and how they can take the first steps in building a personal financial plan which can secure their future.

The book gives a good summary of different investment vehicles out there to beginner and somewhat experienced investors. However, the book does push the idea of investing through Dean Witter a little too much especially in the beginning chapters. Not bad as a reference book although the Motley Fool books are a little more amusing.

I loved this book! It gave me a complete overview of different investment markets, and how to capitalize on them. This book taught me how important it is to understand that starting your investments today is one of the biggest factors to my financial security. I think this book is great for someone who wants a good foundation of the knowledge on Wall Street and other investment areas.

For those people with little or no investment experience, I think this is an appropriate book. It's fairly comprehensive but doesn't go into detail. I would keep it as a handy reference rather than as an investment guide (not enough investment advice).

Both Herbert Hoover and Franklin D. Roosevelt were giants in public life. From strikingly different backgrounds, and sharply contrasting styles and approaches, each man left his unique mark upon the presidency. This collection of historical materials chronicles the connections between the lives of Hoover and Roosevelt from their early collaboration during the Wilson administration to their heated competition during the 1932 presidential election and beyond. Letters, reports, and telegrams between the two men and their wives tell a story of both communication and miscommunication between 1917 and 1945. In 12 chapters, plus an introduction and a conclusion, the editors present documents which reveal the sometimes tense relations between Hoover and Roosevelt. Chapter one includes materials from their work on housing and homebuilding issues during the Harding and Coolidge administrations. The next two chapters focus upon Hoover's presidency and Roosevelt's rise as govenor of New York. Chapter four recounts the strong rivalry during the 1932 campaign, and that rivalry is even more apparent in chapter five. The remaining six chapters include material from Roosevelt's tenure as president. These documents reveal Hoover's attitudes toward Roosevelt's New Deal domestic policies, the threatening international situation of the 1930s, and U.S. involvement in the Second World War.

this book looks appealing, but it did not live up to my expectations. i find hoover a very interesting person and roosevelt even more interesting, however this book made their lives into a long, monotonous book that was hard to stay awake for.
