Words cannot accurately describe just how awesome this book is. I thought the 4th edition was as complete as it could be, but THE ROSZ has certainly outdone himself here. His moving storyline protraying Joe Doaks in various legal situations along with landmark cases make for an easy, yet entertaining read. This book does for education what Leftkowitz v. GMSS (MN App. 1957) does for general contract law. Roszkowski brings the law to life in a way otherwise thought impossible. He must have a huge following in the law community. Any serious student must add this book to their library.

Buyer Beware of this comic book.......2004-04-15

This book was and still is the most convoluted, poorly structured, written, edited and published book I have ever read. Typos abound, font changes for no reason, low grade diagrams and graphs and bad layout. This book was generally unreadable. It seems to be a jumble of lecture notes that was cut and pasted together by a foreign press in a rush to meet a deadline. Few ideas were linked and claims were generally unsupported. After getting over the insult of the cost of the purchase, it was at least laughable with surprises in each new chapter. I am truly shocked that this made it to publication.

TECHNOLOGICALLY INSIGHTFUL.......2003-05-13

A masterpiece in marketing technology. It has been very difficult capturing the best insights and rolling out the best ideas in today's technology management. To lead in any industry, you need to have a larger and broader information of the markets that you are in. But it is also critical to take a careful look on industries that are driven by technologies. Tough customers and intense competition--this book reckons it all.

Cheesetacular! This book consumed me!.......2005-05-29

Not to be cheesy but this was the most arousing and dare I say gyrating read of my life. I thought I knew my cheeses but I found out that my cheeses know me, oh yeah, they know me. The cheese bible is the finest piece of theology ive read and has opened me up spritually to world of cheese and its various manifestations. My girlfriend loves the cheese that I prepare for her. This book is useful for people who do not know their cheddar from their cheddar. When i showed my girl my cream cheese (from this book) she lapped it all up like a savage. When I finished this book I said to my partner - "e-DAM this is good!". May the cheese be with you.

If you love cheese, this book is for you. As more and more restaurants offer quality cheese courses, it is worthwhile to have this book around so you know what is and is not worth trying. Even seasoned tasters will enjoy the tone of the text and the content. The recipes are simple and clear, with a structure that should appeal to even amateur home chefs.

A cheese lover's dream book!.......2001-01-27

I think that just about anything is better with cheese, so this book is right up my alley. Even if you aren't a cheese addict, you will find this book to be an interesting and useful resource. The book is divided into two basic parts: an encyclopedia of cheese types and recipes with cheese as a principal ingredient. The encyclopedia is amazingly thorough - both in the varieties of cheese discussed and in their analysis of the history and processes behind them. I particularly liked that the authors organized their presentation of cheeses into categories and subcategories of similar cheeses. Very useful. Also, it was nice that they included some of the more pedestrian cheese varities. Too often books like this focus exclusively on varities that are rare and exotic - these specialties are fun for special occassions and to read about, but they are frequently hard to find and not always practical for everyday cooking. Even though the recipes are not particularly flashy, they are well-designed to showcase special characteristics of the applicable cheeses. A lot of effort clearly went into this book, and it pays off. Oh, and lots of nice color pictures to browse through.

A superb reference.......2000-09-18

As my two standard cheese reference books were in dire need of updating, I went in search of the perfect replacement. This is it. It's structure is an introduction to cheese making and regulation in general; followed by a cheese encyclopedia dealing with the making of a family of cheeses for which an astoundingly broad range of varients are described; this is followed by a chapter on buying, storing, cutting etc ... i.e. everything you need to know about handling cheese. This is followed by about 100 pages of recipes using cheese. The book is lavishly illustrated, enabling you to identify and check the quality of nearly all cheeses.

The structure of cheese families and their many variants makes it easy to relate the information about cheeses in general to the handcrafted cheeses available in your region. It contains the most comprehensive list of cheeses I have ever seen. There is an index in back for the encyclopedia and the cheese names are in boldface type, but it still my take a bit to find a cheese in which you are interested in the text.

The illustrations in addition to providing illustrations of a particular cheese often show the cheese in various stages of aging. This is of particular use for cheeses whose use changes with age or whose peak stage of aging is of limited duration.

This is a great book for those that have yet to enter into the ministry. It raises some issues that need to be thought of prior to jumping in. It is written from a conservative theological position and is very practical.

Bizarre little book.......2006-01-27

Doulis takes on his vacation to Italy and in the process discusses bonds with his friend who is putting a barrier coat on the bottom of his fiberglass sailboat in a boat yard protected by the Mafia. The information on bonds, and the boat incidentally, seem very accurate. These are complex subjects and the explanations of the intricacies are excellent. For example, he uses graphs and text to explain how return on bonds are a function of interest rates. He explains some weaknesses in the way equities (ie, stocks) are sold to the public, and how the yield on stocks is not always what it is seems to be. I'm not certain, but I think he may imply at one point that you can avoid paying income taxes by having money in forien banks. (Hmmm...) My dissappointment came at the end of the book. I would have liked more information on mutual funds that invest exclusively in bonds. I expected him to show us, based on our individual risk tolerance and goals, how to best invest in bonds or bond funds. I had hoped he might even mention some bond funds he liked. Perhaps he believes you should make that decision on you own, but I came away without any inkling of a strategy or direction for investing. I also wonder why anyone would take the gel coat off of a perfectly good boat bottom and replace it with a prophylactic barrier coat.

It's such a shame that this book has been out of print. A small library has this title in my home town and trust me-the book provides hours of enjoyment! A Young Woman Abroad with Colorful Friends!.......2006-09-22

I will tell you the truth that I only purchased this book because of the author's relationship with Mai Zetterling which was platonic. I was fascinated by Mai's life ever since I saw her in The Witches. I read her autobiography but I wanted to know more about her life. Well, the author knew Mai Zetterling very well and her children. I felt that the author should have had an index for all the name dropping that goes on. Nora Sayre was young and promising woman when she left New York for London where she writes about her memoirs. The book is written to include names of celebrities and other memorable characters. I liked this book because it also offered a side to Mai Zetterling who I think is forgotten by the film community. She was a remarkable woman who admitted failing as a mother. Mai didn't want children and had her daughter and son, Etienne Lemkow and Dr. Louis Lemkow Zetterling with Tutte Lemkow. She was a character beloved by people like Nora Sayre. The book is well-written and and an easy read but needs an index.
