This is a great study guide and book. It covers all the areas of business law and professional responsibilites that are covered on the CPA exam. If you think you'll need a little brushing up before the exam, you can't go wrong with this one, it helped me pass the CPA exam on almost my first try.

Great Resource For Losing Weight.......2004-01-07

I've had this cookbook for over a year and it is without doubt the best one in my collection. The recipes are easy to follow and taste great. I've tried numerous ones over the year and every one I've tried has come out perfectly! In addition, there are pages of tips on how to prepare foods that any cook can find helpful. As part of a total weight loss program, this book is a must!

A Treasury of Tips, Charts and Yummy Recipes!.......2002-07-03

This is a great reference for people wanting to cook a little healthier. There are a host of suggestions on how to convert existing recipes to a lower fat menu and there are many illustrations to support the many tips and charts. You will learn how to substitute lower fat ingredients for butter and oil without compromising the taste of your food. The authors discuss the many types of rice, flour, grains, herbs, spices etc. and guide you in selecting the appropriate one for your particular needs. In short, this book is a cooking class in healthy living. Buy this one...you will use it often!

P.S. Weight Watchers' clients will particularly like this book. The nutritional information necessary for calculating Winning Points is included with every recipe and you will have a huge number of dishes that you may prepare within your program.

This book is fantastic. Everything tastes like gourmet cooking.
Some of the recipes are fairly simple while others are not. This book is great for people who love to cook and want low-fat alternatives that taste great. Fair warning though this isn't one of those quickie meal recipe books. It is the best cookbook I own, regardless of the low-fat. It gives tons of information on exotic as well as common ingredients. It is a great gourment recipe book as well as instructional cooking book. Not only does this book tell you how to cook everything (poultry, seafood, vegetables, desserts, etc.) it also includes a nice sampling of international recipes for added flair, Spinach/cheese enchiladas, Greek Moussaka, Squash stuffed with Mediterranean grains, to name just a few. You won't get bored.

One of the better Gann intro books.......2003-08-01

I have tried to read many other Gann related books and never could understand it clearly. This book is the only one to help clarify enough, where I may be able to use or look at some of the techniques in my own trading. Some of the reviews are correct.. it is a bit repetitive, pricey and could be cut down drastically, but to a total beginner to Gann - the repetition actually helps.

Good Introduction to Gann Theory, but don't worth the price.......2000-12-10

This book serves as a good introduction to the Gann Theory. It explains clearly the basics of Gann Theory: How to use the Swing Charts to identify trends, together with other Gann tools like Gann Angle,Squaring and Anniversaries to determine the likely date/time for Heads or Bottoms (ie. Cycles) and important supports/resistances. With this book, you will be able to grasp the basic framework of Gann Trading. Yet given that the book does not mention the more advanced Gann tools, it only fulfill the introduction/ elementary purpose. So the same price should have bought another book that talks more indepth about the topics. Besides, the book is too repetitive that it seems half of the price is paid to those "copy and paste" pages. I will say, this book deserves five stars if both the price and the pages are cut down by halves.

Gopee Missed the Point.......2000-10-21

Mr. Gopee missed the point when he said the book was an insult to his intelligence and by implying that it was repetitive. The technique was not intended to fool anyone. The author intentionally wrote in the style of Gann. Remember that the author is not the publisher. If there was anything wrong with the writing style, then it would have been spotted during the editing process.

If you had read any of Gann's book, you'd have known that repetition is the key. Keep doing it over and over again until you get it right. You sound like a bitter trader who has had trouble with the simple rules. Almost all the "Gann traders" I know are always looking for the "master time factor' or some deep dark astrological secret. Too many traders today want the answers, but are not willing to study and spend time learning how to trade.

Insult to the readers intelligence.......1999-12-16

While this promises to be helpful in explaining Gann style, it proves to be mostly disappointing. The author clearly knows how to use the Copy and Paste commands in his word processor. Page after page is simply word for word repeat of previous pages. The explanations are identical word for word except he has interchanged Daily for Weekly for Monthly. The book could be cut in half and would not loose any content. About 15% of the book was helpful. The rest was an insult to my intelligence. There has to be better books around. Dont pay full price for it.

IRS internal audit studies in the subcommittee's possession indicate that a significant portion of this income is being sent to U. S. taxpayers and others subject to U. S. taxation who are improperly using foreign addresses to conceal income and thwart proper tax collections."

They write books about everything, don't they?.......2007-09-26

In case anyone would say "Why are you reviewing this trash?" the answer is that this reviewer is a fan of all United States Presidents. Plenty of eliminations take place before someone becomes President of the United States. Even the worst had some good qualities. Now for the book. It's been out for a few years and it was read entirely back then. The newspapers and history books had already told us plenty about Bill Clinton, John Kennedy, Franklin Roosevelt, Warren Harding, Woodrow Wilson and Grover Cleveland. In this book nobody escapes scrutiny. Since all Presidents were married men with the exception of James Buchanan, how well they kept marriage vows is the subject of this book. James Buchanan was appartenly heartbroken over a relationship with a woman early in life and never managed to marry. Truman and some other Presidents come across well in the marriage virtue department. Is the book recommended for the average person to read? No. But it is difficult for fans of Presidents not to read it if they know about it. Presidents, regardless of difficult private lives, showed great leadership and courage when called for.

An amazing account.......1999-12-16

I thought this might be a tabliod type expose, but to my delight, it really is a thorough, factual work. Each and every president is covered and the historic research is evident. Many sections are dry and boring only because those presidents weren't particularly sex driven men. But the notable exceptions like Lyndon "Bull Nuts" Johnson, Jack Kennedy and others make this an eye opening and shocking account of what our presidents really are doing behind closed doors. After reading this book, you want to give this country back to King George! 5 stars to Nigel for his tireless research and fact finding.

A Different Reality.......2000-11-09

Heinemann offers a highly personal description of how she dealt with and eventually surmounted the sequence of losses that accompany Alzheimer's disease. The fact that she is also a therapist lends insight not usually found in such volumes. Her moving description of her decade long struggle gives proof to Erikson's statement that "Grief, successfully handled, can serve as the focus for new social and psychological growth." The author is no pollyanna; she did not set out to write a love story nor does she gloss over the difficulties of caring for a loved one with progressive dementia. She shares lesons she learned while searching for assistance in the community and lists those she found helpful.

As one who has been personally involved in caring for patients and family members with Alzheimer's disease, I recommend this book to those who now care for or who will care for parents, spouses and other loved ones. This book is an important and inspiring addition to the literature of caregiving.

A Gently Helpful Book.......2000-07-09

In sharing her sad, painful, but endearing experience of losing her husband to Alzheimer's Disease, Dr. Heinemann gives sound advice, encouragement and a spiritual experience to the reader. Here is a mature reaction to grief. In sharing her struggle and triumph, the author teaches us how to live throguh the pain and discover a rich life on the other side.

Great Book for Domingo Fans.......2007-06-10

I hesitated to pay $35 for this book, but finally decided to buy it new anyway. I'm glad that I did.

Matheopoulous has done a great service for Domingo and opera fans--covering all of his major roles (up to the year 2000, at least) and getting several pages of his comments about each of them. His is a stunning body of work (he's mastered 124 parts) and this book makes it clear why Newsweek dubbed Domingo, "The King of the Opera".

Domingo's insights into both the opera and his performances are intended for a general audience and add to one's understanding and appreciation of his art. He brings a complex understanding to each role, and his career covers a breathtaking body of work, in 6 languages. (It is typical of Domingo that, already well into his 50's, he learned "The Queen of Spades" in Russian--a language he does not know--"note by note, word by word".)

There is no tenor, living or passed, who has the depth and breadth of work that Domingo does. That he has performed these roles onstage for audiences all over the world--as well as preserving many on CD and in full operatic productions on DVD--only adds to the towering impact he has made, and continues to make, on his art.

Each chapter gives an introduction followed by Domingo's own words about a particular character and (at usually 2-3 pages) one often wishes it were longer. Still, this is intended for a general audience, interested in, but not necessarily familiar with, all of the works discussed. What makes this book so special is that it is a document of a great artist's thoughts about his work, and reads as if it were one complete interview, lovingly and clearly focusing on one role at a time. This is the perfect organization for anyone curious about a particular opera/Domingo role.

"Placido Domingo: My Operatic Roles" is a wonderful book, a thought-provoking reference, and an invaluable documentation of what a great and unique artist Domingo is.

It really doesn't matter what small American town you grew up in, because the author is able to relate stories that make you remember that those things happened to either you, your best friend or someone you knew. If you want a quick reading book that will have you laugh and maybe shed a tear please read this book. I highly recommend Aberdeen High Jinks.

A very moving, humorus book of a young man growing up........2003-03-30

This author has much talent putting into his words his feelings
of life and growing up, finding his way along life's path, sharing
favorite stories of living in a small wonderful farming town in Idaho. Trying to figure out make believe names who most would know and laughing or almost crying.. I recommend this book very much !

Blind dates, porcupines and skinny dipping..........2002-11-24

Who doesn't remember being a teenager?
