From the supplier: IRC section 6166 provides for deferral of estate tax liability related to closely held business interests held by the decedent, and section 6601(j) provides for a 4% interest rate on those deferred payments. The value of the business must exceed 35% of the adjusted gross estate. To ensure that the deferral is available and to maximize the deferral amount, lifetime gifts should be made from nonbusiness assets. Pres Clinton has proposed that the allowable business valuation be increased from $1 million to $2.5 million and the interest rate reduced to 2%.

From the supplier: Owners of closely corporations may benefit from the use of private annuities as a method of passing ownership to the next generation, receiving lifetime income and reducing estate taxes. Private annuities are promises of periodic payments from the transferee of property to the transferor of property in the form of close corporation stock. The arrangement may provide estate tax savings and the income will be free of payroll taxes as capital gain and return of basis. Private annuities are by definition not secured and the transferee does not receive stepped-up basis at the transferor's death.

Two books in one, the first for the lazy achiever and the second for the truly lazy achiever, this quirky little guide combines humor and wisdom to provide plenty of reasons to sit back, kick your heels up, and use the power of creative loafing to get the most out of life.

This is an easy, fun, quick read. One side of the page has salient points and the other the more detailed argument. You can breeze through reading either way. The book is based on the idea that you will get farther and do better by working smarter instead of harder as well as defining what you really want and need to be happy.

This book is terribly repetitive and trite. There are 3, maybe 4, pages of material that are worthwhile. I am sure it is just a rehashing of the same thing that Zelinski "writes" every 3 or so years when his funds start to draw down.

5 out of 5 stars Personal Freedom is a Mindset Change Away.......2006-10-28

For me, this book was a real eye-opener. I have been caught in the organizational/corporate trap with seemingly nowhere to go. I have at times felt like a repressed creative person, though I have had some opportunities to express my creativity via my work. Recent changes in my work status have led me to books like this one, which present a clear alternative to the 9-to-5 rut. Zelinsky's ideas cut right through many of the false assumptions about jobs, wealth and security with which we have all been raised. You can, if you really want, find wealth and success by working less. It's a matter of finding your true calling, using your talent, and providing value in the new economy. This book has given me great confidence to venture forth to a brighter future.

Just one great idea can change your life dramatically; look for it. Hard work is the enemy of creativity. The more hard work your indulge in, the less creative you become. "But lo! Men have become the tolls of their tools. H D Thoreau Little things affect little minds. They intoxicate themselves with work so they won't see how they really are.

1 out of 5 stars Are we talking about the same cookbook?.......2006-10-15

When even rice pudding doesnt turn out right, after following the directions to the letter....you can safely say that a cookbook was poorly written.

Simply dissolve sugar in milk, then add rice and simmer on low for 15-20 minutes? Hardly. I started out with a low flame....and was still waiting for the rice to soften 45 minutes later. I made rice pudding out of the Good Housekeeping Cookbook, and I'd much sooner make rice pudding their way----you start out with a boil (to cook the inner core of the grain of rice), and THEN reduce to low and simmer. Works every time.

Ms. Abdennour should also mention to the novice, that it is necessary to stir the rice pudding continuously, or it will stick to the pan and BURN. However the word "stir" was not even mentioned in the recipe! This may seem like common sense to most, but cookbooks should be written at the level of a novice.

The rice in my pudding ended up having a hard, uncooked center. And when I went to taste it (aside from the bitterly hard rice) I felt there was way too much sugar.

In addition the cookbook has a strange format...the pages are numbered but the recipes are indexed not by page number but by recipe number (they are actually numbered from 1 on up) I much prefer good old fashioned page numbers---whats wrong with that?

Also, the author seems to be unfamiliar with the names of certain items in the West. When a recipe calls for "gullash" this corresponds to our "phyllo dough" however the author seems to not know that we have a word for this....so she describes it as "fresh, paper thin sheets of dough at your local bakery"....gee thanks, that would help the novice cook! I know that she is describing phyllo dough, but would a novice know?

In addition, I made kuftat ras al asfur. Again, following the instructions to the letter resulted in a bland tomato sauce.

Some recipe instructions amounted to no more than four sentences, when surely they are a bit more complex to make and worth describing in a bit more detail.

There are better Arabic cookbooks out there...I just haven't found them yet. This cookbook is suited to someone who is familiar with making these dishes....maybe then they can fill in the details which Abdennour fails to mention. But then one wonders, why would these people need a cookbook in the first place?

5 out of 5 stars Authentic, delicious food.......2006-02-20

Having grown up in Egypt, I had no idea what I took for granted. Delicious stuffed tomatoes, fresh lemony salads, vine leaves, meat stews. It's such a pleasure to find a book that allows me to recreate these meals I had back at home. It's easy to follow and the ingredients are readily available here in the States. I recommend this book for everyone.

There are some new ideas about indicators in this book. I haven't test whether they can beat the old indicators. The authors also could not give such a test. But if you are a creative technician, you can learn how to create new indicators yourself. I did it. It was an interesting process but might not be profitable! It would be better if this book could have a CDROM that contains all the formula in Metastock, Excel or Tradestation formats.

This book gave me some new ideas about TA indicators. Although they may not beat all those old indicators, it is still useful to look at TA from other angles.

4 out of 5 stars A GOOD IDEA ABOUT SOME NEW INDICATORS.......2000-07-09

The technical indicators presented here seem to provide one with better tools that he would normally obtain from the over-used an beated indicators sold on the market today. However, it is not a book where you can just read it any apply the techniques straight away. You will need to obtain the necessary programming skills or buy ready-made programs with these indicators. As such the book is more of a reference and explanatory nature rather thanl one where you can just start applying techniques immediately after you have finished reading it.

3 out of 5 stars The Latest Indicators Are Not Necessarily The Best.......1999-08-15

This is a decent book. However, I really do not see what great advantage StochRSI and VHF can present the prospective reader. Both of these indicators are very jumpy, so you do get a headstart but at what cost? Slower indicators on the other hand get you in later usually towards the middle or the end of a move. Each has it's own advantage and disadvantage. Though it is important to remember that consistency is what works in the long run. I will say that Mr.Chande seems like a respectable writer. This is much more than I can say for the vast majority of authors out there. One last thing, trading is not about having the latest indicators. Trading consists of three equally important parts; methodology, pyschology and risk managment. If you are missing one you will surely fail over the long run. This book consists primarily of methodology but it is not too different from most of the material already out there.

I would be most grateful if Amazon can forward this message to the author:

Your book was just great. However, as I do not know how to write the formula by my Supercharts 4.0 (end of day), I just felt: I've got such a powerful weapon but what a pretty that I don't know how to operate!

So, I wonder if you could kind enough to let me know the formula (by Supercharts) of all the indicators introduced in your book.

Best regards! Looking forward to your reply soon. Thank you so much!

5 out of 5 stars The bible for administrators of religious organizations.......2000-06-21

This reference and resource book is published annually and is the best investment anyone in the business of operating a church or synagogue can have.

Whether you are personally proficient in accounting and federal income tax or not, this book is filled with excellent examples, references and practical guidelines covering the many intricacies and specifics unique to church accounting.

It is especially helpful in understanding and explaining the accounting and reporting of parsonage allowance, employee business expense reimbursements and clergy discretionary funds.

I order a new one every year.
