* Interviews with preeminent psychologists and psychiatrists about developing intuition
* Extensive exercises that show the reader how to use intuition to enhance trading performance
* Words of wisdom from successful traders and investors, including Tony Saliba, Linda Raschake, Paul Tudor Jones, Jimmy Rodgers, and George Soros

Outstanding.......2005-03-21
This is from far one of the best trading books highlighting the psychological side of trading. Many thanks to Mr. Koppel for this great great book!
practical wisdom.......2000-06-25
Koppel's book, "The Intuitive Trader" provides excellent insights into the ways to combine left-brain (logical) and right brain (intuitive) skills to gain the competitive advantage. Koppel interviews established masters and shows how each of them rely on both the left and right sides of the brain. An excellent book for anyone in the world of professional investing.
Excellent Trading Book.Essential Reading!.......1999-09-15
This is a very under-rated book.Probably the best book on trading psychology available. For professional and serious traders much more focused than anything else out there including the Disciplined trader which I enjoyed but didn't feel was as effective as The Intuitive Trader.

Book Description
Book Summery The government has kept all of the major airlines out of bankruptcy with the help of taxpayer's money, along with taking over the security at all of the major airports by forcing private security personnel out of work in a meager attempt to save the country. Is the government helping Wal-Mart out as well? Or was Sam Walton, the founder of the world's largest retailer, a supreme genius by finding a way to conquer the world by selling socks and underwear at half price? You decide. After a brief discussion with a Wal-Mart executive about a possible coverup, Grant Lee has laid the cards on the table for your examination, plus has gone into a detailed review of what it is like to work for the company and how it truly operates behind the scenes. This is the ultimate insider's guide to the good and the ugly.
Customer Reviews:
A great expose'.......2007-04-05
Wal Mart did not become super huge because Sam Walton was a nice guy. In Wal-militia, using Wal Mart as an example, Grant Lee explaines in clear, easy to understand language, how a company can be come big by using effective merchandising. However, to become super huge a company uses the corruption of the Republican and Democratic controlled local, state and national governments. This book is a must read, in my mind, if you want to spend your money wisely and end the corruption between the Republican and Democratic controlled governments and super huge businesses.
Daring! Bold Move!.......2006-02-23
Grant Lee (Grant L. Petersen) is daring! In november of 2004 he paid a traffic fine with a metal bucket of unwrapped pennies. A search of google "Man pays fine with 8,200 pennies" will turn up more results. For this stunt he made international news and was mentioned on Paul Harvey and David Letterman. After the case was dropped he stirred it up again by selling his bucket of coins on ebay for $25,000.
In Febuary 2006 he was featured with Anthony Hopkins in the movie "The World's Fastest Indian" as "Binocular Boy!" When Burt Munro (Hopkins) brakes the motorcycle world land speed record on the Salt Flats in Utah, you can see Grant Lee in the tower with his famous binoculars. He also starred in a commercial, as a movie producer, for the Utah Film Commission that was shown at the 2006 Sndance Film Festival.
Grant grew up in Bentonville, Arkansas, the location of the Wal-Mart home offices and knows pretty much all of the ins and outs. And has very interesting political views! The conspiracy in this book is based on information given to him from a third party that works at the Wal-Mart home offices. Everything else is pure Grant!
Grant has also written three other books: Microworlds (Out of print), Instru-Mental, and The Great Time-Link Photography Project.
Wal-Militia is an ecxellent, informative book; however, at seventy pages it is not worth the $17 that most people are charging for it. If you can find it for $10, or better yet $5, you will get a great deal!!

A different look on life! Excellent!!.......2006-02-18
This book is very informative on Wal-Mart and in politics! As a dollar circulates, the tax will generate more than a dollar in tax revenue and the surplus goes to Wal-Mart to make the economy look good.
An excellent, entertaining read!
So bad, it's unreadable.......2006-01-26
Is Grant Lee kidding? Did he print this off a desktop? It is painfully obvious that the book was barely edited: see the chapter on "odd-sales" for details on Wal-Mart's "prophet margin." I wish I were kidding, but I'm not.
Mr. Lee begins with a noir-esque introduction describing his discovery of the truth behind Bentonville's new airport: it's all for Wal-Mart! He claims his knowledge comes from one Informant Smith, a Wal-Mart executive who seeks to ease his conscience by divulging the deep, dark secrets of the Wal-Mart-Federal Government conspiracy: Project Rollback. Lee insinuates that "Rollback Smiley," the Wal-Mart price-slashing mascot, is named for this ostensible conspiracy and so is "hiding out in the open."
I surrendered after the thrid chapter, my brain no longer able to withstand the unrelenting assault on common sense and reason, never mind fact. A quick review of the remaining pages revealed an entire chapter devoted to a wide array of Wal-Mart "facts" and Mr. Lee's personal political philosophy. The rest of the book has little at all to do with Wal-Mart, save for a few anecdotes from Lee's time on the night shift.
O, I beg you, learn from my error and don't waste a dime on this fantasy. There is nothing the least bit credible to be found between its covers.
Wal-Mart Info........2004-07-12
I'm not sure about the conspiracy but I love the information about how to buy merchandise (Especially holiday merchandise) for $1.50 that was originally sold for $30.00.
The author was a former employee that had worked for the company for six years and knows what he is taking about! Five stars!

Customer Reviews:
A highly recommended "must-read" for home-based businesses.......2003-04-19
Authoritatively written by a Certified Public Accountant Norm Ray who draws from his more thirty-five years of professional experience, Smart Tax Write-Offs is now in an updated fourth edition and presents the reader with a straightforward collection of advantageous guidelines and suggestions which small business owners can utilize to save money. Thirty pages of this brief yet practical guide are devoted to an extensive checklist of common items that can be considered business supplies and deducted to save money. A highly recommended "must-read" for home-based businesses, independent contractors, freelance entrepreneurs, and small business owners, Smart Tax Write-Offs will prove to be one of the best financial investments any taxpayer can make in today's economically stressed times.
Deductions are Money in the Bank.......2000-10-06
Concentrate on net not gross; what is important is how much you keep. Every business needs all the deductions it is entitled to. If you are self-employed or run a small business, searching for deductions is fun. And it is your money.
This 128-page book lists and explains over 700 deductions a business owner is legally entitled to. For coverage, click on Table of Contents in the left-hand column of this page.
When I was just starting out in the business world, working for someone else, I vowed to learn about deductions. Each year, I wrote down every cent I spent, including each penny in the parking meter. At the end of the year, I totaled my expenses and send the totals to a tax preparer. I was amazed at how much money I got back from the IRS. That taught me some lessons: Keep (accurate) records, use a tax preparer and get your money back.
Norm Ray is a CPA and an experienced home-based business owner. He has been in your trench and is well-equipped to advise you on financial matters.
As a (self-employed) author of 113 books (including revisions and foreign-language editions) and over 500 magazine articles and a consultant to the publishing industry, I recommend this book to writers, publishers, the self-employed and small business owners. DanPoynter@ParaPublishing.com.
Hundreds of legal tax deductions for entrepreneurs........2000-03-03
From deductions for home-based businesses to independent contractors and equipment purchases, Smart Tax Write-Offs combines a checklist of possibilities with chapters outlining hundreds of tax deduction possibilities for entrepreneurs in this newly revised third edition for 1999 and 2000..
This "pamphlet" is the worst book I ever bought........1999-09-16
I bought this book because of the catchy title. The book is 120 pages long with very trivial tax tips. On top of that, almost haft of the book is blank space. I bought this book with certificate. Now, I got stuck with "smart" book. Oh well, smart for the author, stupeeed of me.
For Those Who Appreciate A Flare For the Obvious.......1999-09-06
This book (It's really more of a pamphlet) is all of 65 pages in length (Actually it's not even "all of" 65 pages -- There's a lot of conspicuous double spacing as well as a blank page in each chapter for "Notes"). The remaining 56 pages contain mostly silly checklists as well as the index. The information provided is basic and, in most cases, extremely obvious. If you're looking for some really interesting ideas, this is not the place to look. This is the type of information you will find in just about any mainstream magazine around tax time.

Book Description
Whether our hurt is physical, emotional, or mental, in the end it is all the same- painful. Pain is a gift; not a thought we often have, but without pain we would never know when to move our hand from a hot stove or be able to empathize with friends and family that are going through so much. This gift book helps us to better understand pain and how to handle it in our daily lives. As a gift for someone going through chemotherapy or a couple that lost a child, this book allows them to experience the pain that they are feeling without guilt or regret- but instead as the gift it truly is.
Customer Reviews:
A good little gift book to those in pain and suffering. However, .......2007-03-10
if you want to get the best from Philip Yancey and Paul Brand, which I did when I was suffering real bad three years ago, please buy and read "Where is God when it hurt" instead, though both of them carry the same core message, that: Even God Himself did not explain to Job why Job had suffered, so the author just focused his discussion on the "meaning" or "to what end" of suffering. He had covered many topics, like the clear distinction between pain and suffering, the biological necessity of pain, how well intended consolation or even gift cards of christians can do more harm than good, the importance of hope as a pain killer, the notion of "the wounded healer" first preached by Nouven that God enables christians to help others in future through their suffering, the death of Christ as evidence that God knows our suffering and cares.
As usual in my reviews, below please find some of my favorite passages for your reference.
Dr. Henry K Beecher of the Harvard Medical School coined the term "Anzio effect" to describe what he observed among 215 casualties from the Anzio beachhead in WWII. Only one in four soldiers with serious injuries (fractures, amputations, penetrated chests or cerebrums) asked for morphine, though it was freely available....Beecher, an anesthesiologists, contrasted the soldiers' reactions to what he had seen in private practice, where 80% of patients recovering from surgical wounds begged for morphine or other narcotics. He concluded, "There is no simple direct relationship between the wound per se and the pain experienced....In the wounded soldier the response to injury was relief, thankfulness at his escape alive from the battlefield, even euphoria; to the civilian, his major surgery was a depressing, calamitous event." pg33
How happy a person is depends upon the depth of his gratitude. - John Miller pg 48
Though perseverance does not come from our power, yet it comes within our power. - St. Francis de Sales pg 73
My pain is unavoidable. But my misery is optional. - Tim Hansel pg 83
Yancey Needs to Understand Christ and What He Requires.......2006-05-18
Often, books that address hurts in life is about me, myself, and moi. And this kind of pop Christianity has killed America's Christianity. When difficulties come, it's not about what we can do for Christ? It's about what we can do for ourselves? This is not the attitude of the Bible. Yancey needs to go back to the Bible and humble himself.
Book Description
Healing messages from God's Word are quoted and coupled with a personalized letter, paraphrased from Scripture, from God to you. These love-letters are written especially for the bruised and brokenhearted.
Customer Reviews:
The Word of God is full of comfort for people that hurt........1999-09-26
Claire Cloninger has found the way to pull specific nuggets from Scripture applicable to put the Lord's healing balm on the wounds of those that are hurting.
This book can do amazing things!!.......1999-07-29
This book really helped me get through a really tough time I was having in my life. I did what God told me to do. When I finished the book, I could hardly believe what a big difference it made in my life. I highly recommend this book to anyone who may be suffering a heartache!
Excellent book for people who have suffered a loss.......1998-03-29
Claire Cloninger does an execellent and sensitive job of reminding us that God is always with us. This book is a touching way of reminding people who are experiencing grief of any kind that God has not forsaken you. It does not preach. It simply reminds us that God is with us even when we think he has forgotten.
Customer Reviews:
To Take Away The Hurt.......2000-10-17
One line stands out for me in To Take Away The Hurt by Flavia Weedn. It is "Sadness and emptiness are difficult to bear, but that which brings us sadness has once brought us joy." This is the essence of this beautiful little book. Flavia has found the silver lining in the worst of situations and shows us that heartache challenges us all to grow through the love and lives of others.
Book Description
Sure to provoke both intense interest and controversy is this book by the best-selling Linns and their co-author William Emerson, a pioneer in the field of healing birth trauma. This cutting-edge work explains how we can be injured emotionally and spiritually while still in the womb--forming a "template" for how we interpret later hurts. The good news is that we can be healed of these injuries even as adults. This is an extraordinary new area of research, rooted in embryological evidence as well as in anecdotal reports of birth regression. The authors believe a paradigm shift is occurring in psychology: the recognition that a child has a fully conscious spirit at the moment of conception, capable of being hurt but also capable of being healed. The ultimate healing, which can come even in adulthood, comes with remembering "home," remembering that we all come from the heart of God before our entry to the world. The exercises, meditations, and healing games presented here can be used on one's self or one's children, alone or in groups. The book is a unique resource for birth or adoptive parents, pediatricians, therapists, and anyone in need of personal healing.
Customer Reviews:
Remembering Our Home is a Golden Key.......2002-03-25
I purchase this book ten copies at a time and give them away.
I recently expressed to one of the authors, William Emerson, that if I could, I would get a megaphone and announce it from the rooftops. Remembering Our Home is a most gently written, beautifully illustrated book that invites the reader to reflect on the earliest and most impressionable moments of being human--in the womb. If at first this strikes you as improbable to do, consider the countless life dreams and aspirations you, or people you know have had, and somehow, someway fulfillment seems to be just out of reach. Remembering Our Home can help build bridges across the gaps to fulfillment by revealing potential blocks, that can form in our first experiences of feeling physically and emotionally. Some examples of causes of these blocks discussed in the book are being born early, or late, toxins like niccotine or drugs, and parents in a stressful environment. Throughout the book there are suggested processes and tools for accessing our earliest potentials. I was born with a disability, and working with this, and the ample additional referals in the book is transforming the quality of my daily life. I am learning from it to benefit myself and all the babies and children in my world.

Wonderful, captivating book.......2006-03-30
This one of the few books I have read that I have truly enjoyed to the very end. It was on a list of recommended reading by a well-known professsor of anatomy and physiology. (I am a not-so-well known new instructor of the same subject.) There are many clear, accessible explanations of how the body's nervous system works, along with inspiring stories of leprosy patients and the people who came alongside them. If I had read this book in my 20's, I think I might have truly wanted to go into medicine.
Life-changing..........1996-10-25
The single most important text on pain to be published in
this century. The layman or medical professional will find
long-awaited answers for pain management in their own lives
or in the lives of their patients. A "must read" for every
health professional and person in pain. I recommend it to
every patient that I treat who is suffering from signficant
pain.
Michael Reith, Occupational Therapist
