Rita's new books has only ** 1 ** question that was NOT in her other book (PMP Exam Prep)!
I enjoyed her PMP Exam Prep study guide and I was looking forward to additional practice on the situational topics. I figured that even if 50% of the questions were repeats (as one reviewer noted), then I would still get value. Unfortunately, there was NO new material. Worse, for explanations, she tells you to look at her other book.
As a PMP who signed off on the code of ethics, I am not sure that she should be engaging in this behavior...

Deeply disappointed. Most of the questions are from Rita's another book "PMP Exam Prep (4th Edition)". Buying "PMP Exam Prep (4th Edition)" is enough. Don't waste your money on this one.

Certainly this is a fine book. However over 50% of the questions are also in the excellent publication "PMP Exam Prep: A course in a book." If you already have the, "PMP Exam Prep: A course in a book", I would recommend purchasing a different book than this Pocket Guide. I liked Kim Heldman's "PMP Project Management Professional."

Great Professional Responsibility and Situational Questions.......2002-10-08

I hesitated when purchasing this pocket book because of the price; however, it is worth the $$. The questions are complex. Complex in that you are often asked to pick the BEST answer, so they are designed to really make you evaluate your pick. The book is divided out into the nine knowledge areas. The answers are in the back of the book with the explanations. Each answer also has a supporting reference and a page number via the coordinating PMP Exam Prep, version 3. I think this is a great little study guide. A PMP studier in Georgia.

After longing for "Mary Engelbreit Cross Stitch for All Seasons," but balking at the high price, I eventually picked up a copy for a song in a bargain bin. I am a longtime fan of Mary Engelbreit's whimsical work, and copies of several of her more famous works (Everyone needs their own Spot, It's Good to be Queen) grace my home.

"Cross Stitch For All Seasons" includes cross stitch adaptations of Engelbreit's signature works such as Everyone Needs Their Own Spot, Believe, and It's Good to be Queen in a variety of uses: as pillows, basket liners, placemats, bookends, button covers, treat bags and more.

The book is arranged in four seasons (Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer), and projects are grouped accordingly. Halloween treats include a centerpiece, treat bag, candy corn button covers, basket liners and more. Spring features handy gifts for the gardener. Baby and wedding projects are also included, along with "Breit ideas" and a handy section on cross-stitch basics.

The patterns are easy to read, both in the choice of colors and in the size of the patterns themselves. I would classify the stitching level as moderately difficult, and based on the numerous color photos of finished projects that grace the book, the patterns are very close to the originals. Ranging from quick and easy (button covers) to down and dirty (double-layered, matted wedding plaques), this is sure to please any cross-stitcher who loves the timeless art of Mary Engelbreit.

bought the book - love the designs (am currently going cross eyed doing "believe" as a present for my mother).

the ONE problem (and it's not insignificant) is that the ink runs. If you're at ALL a "hands on" stitcher, make sure to photocopy the designs and work from those - i smudged out a very large section of one of the designs by accident.

My first cross stitch book.......2002-08-02

This book was WONDERFUL!! She broke it up into various themes and her puppies were the cutest I have ever seen. Also I enjoyed the fact that along with the patterns she gave great ideas for how to turn the patterns into wonderful accessories for your home. I would HIGHLY recommend that this book become part of your cross stitch library. Also, check out her first book about cross stitch. It is a little more involved but still a good part of any collection.

Not quite what I expected.......2001-10-28

I am very surprised at the high ratings this book has been given, the new "Look Inside" feature is wonderful,if I had the chance to look inside the book before ordering it,I definitely would not have bought it. Most designs are thematic:christmas, halloween,mother goose and puppies. I only liked some of the garden designs. To be fair I should say that the layout of this book is very good along with its well defined charts, other than that it's over-rated.

Gorgeous Designs.......2000-06-23

The cover of this book gives a taste of the wonderful things to come. The designs are colourful and refreshing, and the charts are coloured and easy to read. I can't wait to stitch the 'Home Sweet Home' sampler. There are also great ideas for using the designs in innovative ways. This book is a classic for cross stitchers. Designs run over all the seasons, and include Christmas designs, things for children, and lovely things for the home. I have enjoyed just browsing through it and reading the helpful ideas and suggestions!

From the 1890s to the 1960s, U.S. steel makers imported more than 70 million tons of high-grade manganese ore, a ferroalloy indispensable to steel production but rare in the United States. Using a commodity approach to highlight the webs of interest and conflict over raw materials that studies of bilateral diplomacy often overlook, Priest reveals the interconnected histories of far-flung mining regions around the globe and the unexamined role of the major U.S. steel companies in the U.S. search for foreign materials. The big manganese mines would emerge first in Brazil, Soviet Georgia, and India, and later in Gabon and South Africa, in a world market that was extremely competitive and inherently unstable. Market instability, caused in part by consumer control over the manganese trade, stimulated direct U.S. investments in mining beginning in the 1920s. During the 1930s and 1940s, concerns about access to manganese increasingly shaped U.S. mineral and foreign lending policies, which by the Cold War focused on supporting infrastructure development linked to strategic mining districts. the seller send the book very soon but she give me a wrong one, and then she send me another one, but it was lost in the way. Although she returned my money, but I took a course two weeks without textbook.

7th Edition pulls itself into the 21st Century.......2001-09-27

Having had to wait many weeks for the new, revised 7th Edition I was very pleased to note the improvements made from the 6th Edition. The color examples, universal legend symbols and easy paragraph read for the student are excellent. Another long awaited addition is the expanded Medi-Cal section (applicable to California only). Having been in the industry for 25 year I can say that this is the best Billing book on the market that I have been able to find. The only down side to this book is that it is not written for the "new" biller, but more for an intermediate to experienced biller. As long as the instructor can "dumb down" some of the excellent explanations, students will learn a tremendous amount from this book. I use it in my classroom along with my own material and the students are leaving the class with a well rounded knowledge base. Over all, I am pleased with the new Edition and it's contents.

Lots of info, perhaps too much........1999-10-13

I felt a little bogged down by all the information contained inthis book. It seemed too detailed and included a lot of stuff thatdidn't really apply to just medical insurance (for example thecomplete hypocratic oath which doctors take)! Overall, it was a pretty good book. It would have been a great book if they had cut out about a third or even half of the information. I thought Guide to Medical Billing, by a company called ICDC was much better. A lot of the pertinent data without too much extra. I also liked a book called The Medical Billing Handbook by Jason Cummings.

An excellent overview of the medical billing task........1999-03-01

This is an appropriate text for the medical biller. Although written for the office-based biller, home-based billers will find most (but not all) the information of practical benefit. Used in our homestudy course as a standard text.
