this book is by far the worst motivation book i have ever read. it is so horribly written, i could hardly make myself finish it. he skips from one topic and then to another topic, and you never have any idea where he is going with any of it. if you are an adult, you should read adult books. this is not an adult book, it is a badly written book on a 4th grade reading level. my suggestion: don't waste your money!

Few motivational books really address the difference between long-term and short-term motivation. Neither do they cover the subtle distinction between internal and external motivation. This is the first book I've seen in quite some time that actually discusses this fundamental issue.

Douglas Webb clarified for me that I really need to stay focused on developing an internal, long-term motivation. He
has laid out the path to achieving this goal, and he points out the benefits so that I have a sufficient incentive.

For those of you who need a quick boost, the first section, entitled "Motivation", will help you recharge your battery. The real payoff, though, comes in Section Two, entitled "Levitation", where the foundation for lifelong happiness is laid.

The key points are laid out with clarity, so I was able to apply them with ease. So far, I have benefited in my work life and my relationship with my family. I'm sure I'll see other benefits as time goes by.

My thanks to Douglas Webb for writing a book that's manageable, yet full of useful information that improves a person's daily life.

The author has made it incredibly easy for me to take the ideas and run with them. He's not sugar-coating life, either. Having been through some difficult job-related issues over the past 2 years, I found this book to be immensely helpful in boosting my energy.

So far, I feel I can honestly say I've implemented at least 10 of the major principles. The section on smiling seemed silly until I actually tried it, and I'm amazed at the results. I learned a great deal in the health section, and I learned even more in the sleep cycle section. Overall, I'd say my energy is up about 15 - 20%. As far as my outlook goes, the book was a huge help to me, and my wife and colleagues have noticed.

I took the author's advice and had an assessment done of my motivations, and just like he predicted, I discovered that there were at least two hobbies I've neglected. I also discovered that some of my interests were far less intense than I had supposed.

The creativity section has caused me to stop and think about several things, and I find that I do my pleasure reading much slower than before, as suggested in the book.

I like the fact that the book doesn't flood you with too much information. I get enough of that at work every day. The visual images provided, such as the "swimming with real sharks" section, make it much easier to retain the information.

Motivation Levitation is an easy, enjoyable read, but don't let that fool you. The author warns you at the beginning that some of the ideas are subliminal and indirect, and he's right. They have the desired effect, even when you don't expect it.

In the short time I've had to implement the Motivation Levitation principles, I can honestly say I'm really seeing a significant change for the better -- at work, at home, and at play.

This work is something that can influence one's daily
activities as worker, job seeker or homemaker. It is well organized, graphic and has some orginal concepts concerning
attitude to help ensure effectiveness.

Easy to read, getting straight to the point. I enjoyed all the encouraging ideas and the suggestions of steps I can take to improve my enthusiasm. I'm already applying the principles to boost my energy at work, as well as to lose weight, of all things. I was particularly fond of the chapters on swimming with real sharks (that was fascinating) and regulating sleep cycles. I'm planning on giving this out to several friends as gifts.

I found this book excellent. It inspired my creative quilting side and was easy to follow in a logical, progressive way that had me learning through small projects that were not so challenging as to be offputting. A resource to continue to refer to.

Review this book before purchasing.......2003-01-03

I purchased this book sight unseen based on the author's description. Once I received it, I was disappointed in the lack of new information or insights. Most of what is provided in this book is more thoroughly presented in other machine quilting books. The only "new" technique presented is a description on how Caryl Fallert creates her machine quilted feathers. I also found the exercises and sample quilts uninspiring. I would heartily recommend Guide to Machine Quilting by Diane Gaudynski and Infinite Feathers by Anita Shackleford instead. At a minimum, view the book in person so you can decide whether its worth spending your money on.

The ordinary person would not think that the business and professional man in the State of Idaho has much need for foreign export/import information. That is not the case and the WELLS/DULAT book on EXPORTIONG FROM START TO FINANCE was just the ticket for many of us. The practical approach, examples and forms in the book were invaluable to us. It is great to have a readable book by someone who is in the business and who knows what they are talking about.

There are plenty of books which are overviews of exporting. THis book gives details of export paperwork, contracts, samples of exporter representation agreements between exporters and manufacturers/suppliers and all the nuts and bolts of exporting in detailed form. If you don't get this book for your business you are crazy. All acronyms, strategies, problems are discussed in details. Especially good for home-based exporters who wants to succeed quickly without all the learning disasters.

Bob Johnson's book gives a great description of the evolution of group dynamics in an uncertain situation. Instead of rhetorically referring to 'out-of-box' thinking, he creates a box for people to gain insights into their own behavior and decision making.

I really enjoyed The Greatest Networker in the World and conversations provides more of the story, picks up where The Greatest Networker leaves off.

The Greatest Networker is written in story book style much like The 1 Minute Millionaire by Allen & Hansen but still packs facts that will be useful to help you build your organization. The problem is that when most people start in network marketing, they are clueless on what to do and get easily frustrated. Conversations and the prequel, The Greatest Networker in the World will get you and your downline off to a fast start. I also recommend The Wave 4 Way to Building Your Downline and Wave 4. And of course, I recommend The 1 Minute Millionaire by Allen & Hansen as well as Multiple Streams of Income by Robert Allen.

These are great books that will explode your business. It's working for me.

Different Way of Trading.......2003-05-21

I purchased this book a couple of days ago. This was a fairly easy read and a different approach to trading. The investor invests in this as if he was a long term trader in a mutual fund. I think this is a great trading method. However, the issue of contract rollover has me a little concerned. This issue can either benefit or hinder your trading. If a contract rollover trades higher, this can be a disaster to an account. If the contract rollover trades lower, this can make your profits even greater.

For example, lets say that cocoa is trading at 500 and the rollover contract is trading at 550. You the trader has just lost 500 dollars because of the gap up. Let's look at an example of when the contract trades lower. If we have the same scenario where cocoa is trading at 500 and the rollover contract is trading at 450... you the trader has just gained 500 dollars. Since you didn't experience the drawdown from 500 to 450, when the market goes back to 500 you are up 50pts or 500 dollars.

I'm going to conduct a test on ALL the past trades and see how contract rollover acutally effects the various commodities. This test will be based on rolling over to a new contract when a distant contract has greater volume two consecutive days, thus rolling on the open the third day.

I will post the results for each commodity after completing it. The results will be based on the beginner trading method.

I started trading this system in May of 2000 since then I have been part of two great trades. The first was a sugar trade that I am still in. The current profits for that trade are around $6,000 and I got in a cocoa trade that has now made over $10,000.

To say that I am happy to have discovered this system would be a great understatement.

The system teaches you how to wait for the perfect timing for the trade and enter the market when the risk is at it's lowest point. I use the data service that the author provides to get end of day data which makes it so easy to keep track of the trades.

Buy this book, you won't regret it.

First - This books is blatent copy of "Smart Trader by Dillon," or maybe Smart Trader was a copy of this book. Regardless - it does not address the issue of contract rollover. In futures, each time a contract expires you will be required to purchase another contract for a future month. Usually, these contracts are priced higher than what you just sold for. So basically, you will lose money each time you rollover.

If you get lucky you may make money by picking a bottom using this method. If you are forced to hang onto the trade for too long of a period you will watch your chance of profit slip away.

Dont discount this book!.......2001-03-20

I have read all of the existing reviews for this book, and the truth is that everybody has a point. The profits that some reviewers claimed to have made are very achieve-able. Profits like this happen on a regular basis. On the other hand, to trade these markets exactly as the book says could get quite expensive. The author does not hide this fact. The numbers and cost of downdraws are there in black and white. The important thing to note is that the system is a good one. You do not have to play to the levels suggested, nor do you have to enter these markets at such high levels. This is by no means a get rich quick scheme. However, it is possible to make large amounts of money with this general system. This book is not the be all, and end all of position trading, but if you have a true interest, and the willingness to pursue it, then this is a book that can really help put the puzzle together. My advice is to use this system on paper, and learn what it has to teach. It wont cost a dime, and you will learn quite a bit. This book is a step in the right direction....keep in mind it is only a step, but one that I would recommend if you truly have the commitment and desire. Best of luck to all!

Let me tell you something--this book, Dion On Vanguard, is really great. What an eye-opener into a company I wasn't really sure about. Dion writes in a clear and concise manner, and knows his stuff.

I found the book enlightening. It helped me to better understand the mutual fund industry, the advantages and disadvantages of index funds versus actively manged funds, Vanguard's philosophy of investing, and much, much more.

If you're a mutual fund investor, I highly recommend Dion's book!
