      I've taught all levels of ESl for a dozen or so years, and have found most books in this area to be excruciatingly dull, one-dimensional and at best condescending to non-native English speakers. I can't begin to tell you how good (relieving?) it is to teach from Milada Broukal's Weaving It Together, book 3. Not only do my students truly enjoy the stories, which are extremely well-written and contain a potpouri of topics, but they benefit from a wide range of activities taking them from pre-writing to revising. This superb book, for anyone teaching an advanced level skills class in reading and writing, gives students a paradigm to emulate while at the same time egging him or her on to better writing with interesting readings and useful, enriching activities.

                      If you like philosophy, you will like Tsoukas's approach to organizational theory. Don't think about this text as practical tool for working with organizations - the subtitle 'Meta-theoretical Perspectives' says it all.

                      The authors in this volume are the thought leaders in modern Organizational Theory, so if you want a volume that brings key areas of thought together - this may be for you. The content is weighty (epistemology or critical science anyone?) and helped me in my graduate studies.

                      Certainly better for research and academic exploration then for practitioners.

In 1992, most analysts and observers viewed Mexico as a model reformer among developing nations. Two years later, however, Mexico was on the verge of a financial collapse; indeed, even before the crisis of 1995, Mexico's performance was lackluster. Nora Lustig updates the original book and analyzes the possible explanations for Mexico's relative slow growth in the early nineties and the causes of the peso crisis at the end of 1994. In addition to describing the financial rescue package, she examines why the recession in 1995 was so sharp despite sizeable international assistance, the factors behind Mexico's relatively swift recovery, the evolution of poverty and inequality in Mexico, and the relationship between economic openness and inequality. Finally, Lustig highlights Mexico's economic prospects in coming years. Besides contributing to our understanding of a traumatic experience in Mexico's recent history, Lustig's analysis yields helpful insights for other reforming economies around the globe.

                                      It is difficult to explain Creative Concepts built for and on an Interactive platform in a "Book". The attached CD was helpful but you keep flipping back and forth between formats so that the flow of thought is difficult to continue. Overall the book gives Interactive advertising protogees a great glance into the vast world of possibilities the Internet opens. For Interactive novices - nice but not really groundbreaking.

                                      This is the first book on work team or any kind of teams that acknowledges how difficult and trying team work and team management can be. It's full of useful suggestions and insightful thinking. It's well written and not a checklist type of book but one which really explores things like conflict and the key kinds of things teams come up against. As a manager who workes with teams all the time, I highly recommend it. I am buying one for all my supervisors and all my teams.
