    This is a good book but not great. I prefer PMP Flashcard Quicklet by Paul Sanghera, which is very self contained and comprehensive. This book by Rita has quite a few errors and too many references to Rita's other books (not self contained)...as a second flashcard book, it's fine.

    This review is for the audio cd flashcards. I am a recent PMP, and this was one of the tools that I used to pass the certification exam. For the price, this is a worthwhile purchase for those that will be studying for the exam and will spend a lot of time in the car.

    At the beginning of the first disk, the explanation states that the cds should not be transferred to any device, which sounds like it includes transferring to MP3 players. There is no encoding restriction to prevent you from treating this like a normal cd and saving it to your hard drive or MP3 player, but in this day and age, it's a strange thing to hear. It's unclear if that's actually the intent, but it certainly comes across that way.

    Rita tries to break up the monotony by telling anecdotes and tips at the beginning of each section, but this gets tedious quickly. Some of her jokes fall flat, and it becomes excruciating upon repeated plays. In addition, some of this is straight from her PMP Exam Prep book.

    The bulk of the cds is recorded by a voice actor has chapters divided up by the knowledge area. The voice actor asks a question, and then there is a brief pause so the listener can attempt to come up with the proper answer. The pause is followed by the answer...most of the time. Some questions are asked, but in some cases the voice actor states that the answer is too long to be repeated, which just comes across as disruptive to the flow of learning.

    In this day and age, it's bizarre to hear that the audio recordings can't ethically be allowed on a portable media device. The CDs could benefit from having some of the conversational fat cut out of them, and it would be good to hear answers to all of the questions posed. That having been said, this is a worthwhile purchase if you will be studying for certification and will be in a place to hear the cds. It's a fairly inexpensive study aid, and it certainly helped me earn my certification.

    These are just global review of general topics. If you read the book, you won't need these. If you need these, you won't pass the test. Don't fall into Rita's clever web of buying her stuff...which is repackaged material. It's all in the book....

    I would not have bought this item. This is not what I expected.
    When you say "Flash Cards", my understanding was that it would be
    index cards that I could thumb-tack on the walls in my office/room.

    Unfortunately I didn't realize this was not the study material for the PMP Certification test after Sept 25, 2005. Do not order the 4th edition as it is now out of date.

    The package contained 2 Audio CDs. They are very well made. They are in the format of questions and answers by each of the knoweledge areas of PMP exam. I would suggest using these after going through PMBOK and possibly another book for the exam. I used these towards the last couple of weeks. For the price charged, the CDs seem somewhwat expensive. But there is no other similar product.

    I purchased the CD to listen in my car while commuting, but the CD doesn't work in my car. I have an older CD player and my car doesn't read a CD-R format. Sadly, this defeats my purpose. For the price, they should be delivering a higher quality product

    The CD contains numerous definitions and a few basic concepts read aloud by a professional speaker.

    I received this audio CD when I purchased the book 'PMP Exam Prep' by Rita Mulcahy and PM Fastrack (software). This audio CD is excellent in mastering the definitions and basic concepts from the 'Guide to the PMBOK' by PMI which is the official syllabus for the PMP. One of the main problems in passing the PMP is the situational questions that comprise a majority of the questions on the test. These questions seem very subjective but once you understand the definitions thoroughly, half the problem is solved.

    That's where this audio CD comes in. After you have had a chance to read the 'PMP Exam Prep' by Rita Mulcahy, you can start listening to this audio CD whenever you have a few minutes. I played the 87 minute CD for about half an hour each night before going to bed. I have successfully used this technique in a lot of tests where you need to memorize definitions. If you play the CD about 2-3 times before taking the test, you should be able to recall the definitions very easily. If you play it a couple more times, I am guessing you will never forget the definitions.

    The CD has a few basic project management concepts on top of the definitions. The voice is not that of Rita Mulcahy but of a professional speaker. The price seems a bit [high] and some people have preferred the book version of 'Hot Topics' for the value provided. I have personally reviewed another product, 'PMP Exam Challenge' by J. Leroy Ward in book form and liked it also. But the superiority of HEARING these definitions on an audio CD is hard to match in any book. This is because when you both HEAR and READ a concept or definition, it is more likely to permanently etch itself in your brain than otherwise. Of course, the strongest etching occurs when you use audio, video, book, and some form of interactivity in your learning.

    If you get a chance, read my review on 'PMP Exam Prep' where I wrote about my PMP exam experience. You may find it helpful in preparing for the PMP exam. ...     I really liked the flashcard design - small, lightweight, spiral bound. Perfect for studying in the plane, train, or automobile (as long as you are not driving!).

    This 643 page learning aid is simple to use and highly effective. It's in near pocket-size format, with an upper spiral binding to use as flip cards. On the face of each card is a term, and on the reverse is a definition. It's designed for you to use simple, effective memory drills to recognize key terms you will encounter on the PMP exam and the correct definition. The definitions are usually in bullet style and are consistent with the correct exam answers.

    Key points: it reflects the PMBOK 2000 edition and also covers professional responsibility topics. You may want to also get the audio tape titled "Hot Topics: Audio Way to Get Ready for the PMP Exam" and use both as an extra effective learning strategy.

                    A well written, exacting book full of ideas: as Kotler said, 'business is about 2 things only: innovation and marketing, and if you miss one you aren't in business!' I loved Mr. Jaworski's pioneering article in the Multinational Business Review that went worldwide on Nation and Global Branding. This Marketer is both an innovator and marketer- and the book is a must despite its 2 year age! Buy it!!!!

                    A very well done piece of work to say the least. Lots of pages, but the concepts are very focused. A very real and applicable book for everyday marketing and brand strategy; as well as a top notch brand management operations guide.                     Simply a must have for any 'major league' brand manager. In a world where skill is the underlying key to brand and marketing success this book is simply the best I have ever come across. I also suggest any of Jaworski's articles and ideation papers- there are many. He has also co-written with the best like Paul Temporal and Al Ries, so he is very generally and widely accepted. This book mades some 13 predictions and scenarios that ll came true over the last 4 years, and the author was right on target- Ford-Firestone,
                    Gateway, and the re-rise of Steve Jobs and Apple. I often go back to my copy when I see another one proven true- or simply need help.
                    As a global brand manager, this book simply is the one I live by for Marketing and Brand Management. It is from a brand manager for brand managers- big or small league... for those of us working with millions to billions.
